pvp is not dying , it was never alive to begin with, but they (a-net) are to arrogant to see the truth. NO pvp game was ever created by a developer stand point ; all were " borrowed" from creative players …. so i ll said it again as i said it at the lounch… give the players the tools to actually create game moods . Sadly. Yes they do; but its rare, very rare ( happened twice or tree times since HOT) & about minions commands : they might have the policy to not give us any; it would be an immense improvement to the quality of life & might also change minion-mancer pvp game-play.

the teleport is telegraphed but cannot be dodged, only blocked or
in case you use blind, with a low chance missed. the lightning she throws at the group
however can be dodged and it is even telegraphed with an obvious spinning
animation.

Again, this isn’t about the story. It’s about the dungeon, and how some people aren’t able to complete it. And my opinion on this matter is that if you can’t complete it, I’m sorry, but that’s the way it is.
Either that’s a straw man, or you’ve completely misread what I wrote. Or maybe both. Like I mentioned above, please go back and try again.
I am not arguing that the dungeon should be easier. I like its level of difficulty, and I especially like the encounter with Frizz.
What I don’t like is the way that the dungeon is linked to to the living story. In order to complete the story, you have to complete the dungeon and that locks a lot of players out of the story.
I can’t score 250K kills in WvW, but I’m not asking Anet to buff my damage output to kill faster. I can’t play 10 hours a day, but I’m not asking Anet to increase gold drops so I can make more money in a shorter time.
That’s not what I’m asking either. What I’m saying is that the story shouldn’t be linked to the dungeon.
To use your own analogy, the current story asks players to perform a very difficult task that not many players can’t complete, like killing 250,000 foes in WvW, in order reach the end. That’s a new thing for this game, and its something that seems to violate the designers’ publicly-stated design philosophy.
I’m arguing that this is a mistake, and asking that they don’t make it again in the future.
I’m not addressing your concerns with those posts. I’m addressing the OP’s. He is sad that he can’t complete the story because he can’t do the dungeon. I’m saying the story doesn’t matter, so there’s no reason why Anet needs to make an “easy mode”. IF there were a requirement that a certain dungeon be completed, then Anet wouldn’t make it so challenging.
Now to address what you’re concerned about. It’s gonna be a similar answer, but hear me out. The story is optional. If you choose to continue with the story, you must do the dungeon. If you can’t complete it, the world isn’t over. Go on and do other things. But if it kills you so much that you “must” complete AR, then it’s just a matter of learning the game mechanics, and applying them to the challenges you face.
Also, the reason why there’s no “Story Mode” for AR is that it doesn’t tie into your Personal Story (and even that’s optional to do). All main dungeons in this game are tied to the story of Destiny’s Edge. AR is different, so it’s a stand alone.
it seems you re a necro , sry to tell you but those are excuses , i play only a necro . In todays run i actually had to die cozz my pug ( guard, tief , warr, hunter ) died consinstantly on the barage , the problem is ppl run like headles chickes around & die or mismanage dodge. I stand still w8 for the circle to apear & walk out eazy as that ( most of the times there are safe spots ) if there is a problem i dodge out …. the fight is actualy dead boring . the only thing that you actualy need dodging is the teleport ( wich is telegraphed) so ….. im confused on where is the dificullty ??
As someone said observe & adapt, it sadens me to see we are so far in the game yet ppl still mismanage dodge or dont understand its power & as for now there arent fights ( team based not solo ) wich criple necro due to lack of vigor also DS is your friend.

at the same time i have to say that i dont know if the runes increase the boons on myself only or they apply the increase also on allies.Also to mention change wells depending on a fight.

Terror instead of Master of corruption, should give you a better dmg output in 1v1; Corruption skills are awsome , but you have so many fears that is way beter to get a double use out of it , breathing room + dmg.
Deadly strength in death magic to give you a bit of umpf in burst dmg.
Blood Magic dager CD, as a condymancer you want to aplly as much conditions as possible in the shorter amount of time + lower CD on blind =very nice
5 points in Soul Reaping for LF gain increase.
Runes 4 runes of nightmare 2 runes of Lyssa will give you a nice increase in cond duration.
Sigil of Geomancy on your scepter. + plz use consumables Super Veggie Pizza (cooking) & Master tuning crystal (Artificer) both give an incredible boos to your dmg.
Althow 1v1 seems correct , sadly it aint. Balancing for 1v1 will eventually lead to some OP composition & combos.
If you wana go full zerker then GO FULL ZERKER, forgeth about the runes , just stuck in your armor 6x ruby orb, dont think there is a better option. I dont know which is optimal crit chance, althow 50% imo is enough. Get pure unadultered raw power & critical dmg, but remember you will be a crystal vase in a buffalo stampede.
For weapons i would go Sigil os superior bloodlust, Sigil of minor acuracy & Sigil of superior force or instead of superior force Sigil of superior hydromancy to mitigate some incoming dmg.

if you want 95% acurate DH health pool :
get some friends : a 100 blade / dubble axe warr (zerker)
a mesmer
a gardian
& last but not least a necro
get into the mist with team comp warr, masmer, guardian on one team; necro in the other. Get a stopwatch & a recording software.Necro should build up LF & then get bashed by the warr (war 100 blades + axe ww under the effect of sig of rage + quicknes + guardian boons + masmer speed bost should make minced meat out of necros LF in no time )
Now all this burst should mitigate LF % decay, still with the watch you can get the exsact timing to include the decay in your calculation. While the warr record his bursting on the necro LF to 0 you just calculate the dmg recived in the recording.
Repeating the proces as much as posible will grant you a decent average sum of your life force. That should be it.
the average LF decay in % = cross calculation : 1sec = 4% (3%) (average time to burst Lf to 0 ) = x %
(average warr dmg) miltiplied by( the average LF decay in %) = actual dacay number in LF unit
& the amount of LF in total is (average warr dmg)+(actual decay number in LF unit)
that should be it.
You can also try diferent specs & geat sets to see how those actually effect the LF & dng recived.
Sry to inform the devs , but Lupy still spawn grubs on the jagged horrors. Happened today , last grub spawned on the little bas…d.

Sometimes in combat or out of combat the button to swich weapon stays grayed out = cant swich betwen weapons. It is a gamebreaking bug wich i have reported plenty of times yet no fix not even a f—ing response. FIX this ASAP before anithing ellse kitten submited plenty of screens alrdy , what do i have to do to get something so crucial fixed ??
Using the elite skill ( which transforms you ) create a lag on the utility bar, it apears after a sec or so. Same goes for death shroud. Also sometimes weapon swap doesnt work (isnt race/class related) Think these are some gamebreaking bugs which need fixing ASAP.

As others have said, L2P. Use your brain more and your white flag of surrender less. Dungeons are created in GW2 to be areas to problem solve with the tools that your character has. Rise to the challenge. Research and prepare accordingly.
Yes, pugs can be a pain the royal **** when they won’t use their brains either, but that’s how it is with MMOs – there is a big bucket of players, some being worse than others (you may feel there are a lot more bad players) but at some point you will make friends and create your own regular group of players, or join a guild that works for you.
I personally love tough dungeons, the challenge to get past them successfully without using exploits along the way is a finger in the face of those that can only do them with exploits. Love patch days when exploits are fixed.
Dungeons are dungeons. Places to explore and make riches in. Riches that need to be earned, not handed to you on a silver platter

CM: each person grab a barrel, run to the wall on the left of the barrels (manor) all drop the barrel ( npc will run to pick up the barrels) in the meantime you can eazzily run pick another barrel & delivet it at the door, with time to spare.
COE: dodge every 2 secs when circles apear, stay in mele for crystal & if someone die.
Cone spike wach tell & dodge.
Stop complaining about dungeon being hard, its your foult for not knowing the base game mechanics of each dungeon.
I think if we had recount, it’d be more fun if it was a little more competitive

Necros bigest problems imo are lack of stability & incoherent traits which then result into only one viable spec.

@Jacobin.8509 not rly im still working on my sets, for cond build TA for stats SE for looks.( need to farm dager & scepter for stats, gloves for skin). For my MF gear have almost full cultural T3 ( need helm).For my dager/war, axe/focus have chest & legs from CoE rest still farming. For staff, axe/focus need arah helm & boots. Im also working on my alts. Cof was the dungeon i did the least, got me chest & boots , but then i just salvage them, ahat was not even a dungeon for me, havent tried it yet in the new patch. Also i like doing dungeons so no im not a pve hero & did not get all my gear in nub mode spaming graveyard runs, i actualy left most of my runs at the first sign of skiping (althow sometimes i did skip , but its boring as hell) & i was out of the game for 2 months due to a broken arm. IMO most of the ppl whining were those who abused graveyards & never took the time to learn the bosses or even the core game mechanics.Dodge is such a powerful skill its unbelivable+ combined with class machanics & a bit of wit you can do incredible things , but the key to the game is managing those skills.
Have you seen the solo vids , do you think those ppl downed those bosses on a first try, it took them a fair amount of resing & perfecting their builds, skill traits, boss mechanics, game play mechanics.

I’ve done AC and CoF on 2 characters (4 runs each) since the patch and haven’t had an issue yet. If you aren’t running exotics and superior runes you should feel bad for wasting your parties time.

I have actually done it with my exguildies, we were learning the ropes in arah story (first dungeon we entered ) mind you it was at realese = all buged & all hited like a truck,the boss wich spawn the grubs , the wrath thingy & gargoyle were done all with no gear we were sick of wasting gold on repairing + we had not a clue about builds ( random filing points) & we were all in greens & blues, we cleared almost all of the dungeons in blues & greens. we had no idea you could get gear from tokens , we actualy deleted tokens as we tought they were some x stuff for M Forge. Leveling profesions at that time was wery wery slow due to drop rates. That is it, it cane be done due to dodge mechanic = avoid 100% of dmg, & i have done it. Those are my basis.
@Horrorscope i dont run anything particular full zerker necro skil: 30/0/10/0/30.
weapons : staff; axe/focus
support skils: well of suffering ( have it almost 100% of time equiped),signet of undead (prevention is always better also have it almost 100% of time) other i swich to acomodate the fight.
example COE alpha :well of blood, well of suffering,signet of undead ( althow on this fight is not nedded is the group does the stack tactic)/ or spectral wall,well of coruption, lich form.
If any1 on the group use an aoe heal just make a rotation & you ll always be toped off.Use wells to stack vuln or when someone gets into a crystal ( dont need to swich to attack the crystal or use only 1 well + swich to crystal & aply wall to get prot + stack vuln.When you use lich form you negate crystal prison.
alpha p1: you can dodge the spike cone ( wach tell)
alpha p2: save dodges for the aoe (count to 2)
alpha p2 save dodges for the aoe, spikes get negated by cycling aoe heals.
example2: lupy, utility well of suffering,signed of undead,signed of the locust, lich form,consume condition.
lupy p1: well helps kiling adds (not grubs, those go down fast 1 i dedicated grub killer), if someone dies eazzy rezz.
p2: wach tell dodge teleport (you can see direction from the shadow), poison dodge or i use Ds to soak dmg if necesary, if someone dies signet, signet of locust helps me avoiding poison.
p3: eazy can kitte him from downed players to eaz rezz, dodge siphon health
also i swich utilities on the run, example TA wolfs knockdown packs, cast fear if im first , cast well of darknes ( blindnes negate knockdown) spam wells coruption(only for dmg), suffering(dmg + vul), staf 1,2,3,Ds life transfer or save fear if someone gets knocked down in chain to give him the time to get up,
duno stuff like that also dont use dodge if not needed, youll have none when you need them.

I’m starting to think there is a bug with dungeon difficulty and it’s based on player name how difficult the dungeon is setup as. Not only are dungeons easy, they say. We can go naked and do them. Wow, the variance in description from player to player cannot be wider.
Almost made me laugh there, but that is the core of skill games, its not the dungeon that is hard is the skill that is lacking in that player.
Good luck with CoE. Buy Charged Lodestones while they’re only 3g, because no PUGs will be completing this dungeon.

Not rly, arah 3 of 5 were never in arah at all, in TA 3 ( 2 in one run / 1 in another run) never steped in TA, one was lvl 53 if im correct, Coe 2 semed to me like they never fought the pilar boss & so on … had a nice dungeon day , althow it started with some players arguing like noobs & some left but then it went all smooth. Lupy went down the third time , once i was the last alive & reseted once a guardian, in TA the arguing guys went all down so i finish the fught solo , the plant thingy … bla bla. This is the only crysis. Found out that is you explain stuff & dont skip if ppl arent expert + dont demoralize them if they make a mistake, improve exteremlly quick + if you have rez sig or whatever & acomogate your skills to the fight ahead = you dont even remember about the new patch.
Basicaly not to be rude , but its not the dungeon , its not the patch, its not the gear, its not the lvl… its only that players abused corpse running & tought they were actually good players, now you can see on the forum they cant akcept is them not the game, wich is sad. The moment you think you re good you stop improving & this is what they did & they remain at a beginner if not even worse skill level.

While the gist of your post about letting people choose what to wear is sound, may I interject there and say that no, most likely just talking to someone and “increasing his knowledge” will not change their views? Changing someone’s held beliefs gets more and more difficult the longer they have held them. You usually will not be able to make even a dent in it. Which is one of the reasons you shouldn’t argue on the internet in hopes of convincing a lot of people – you won’t.
Noone has the right to change how ppl view things (…as long as these dont affect other ppl life or/ and way ppl live (my view). And plz dont extrapolate thing out of my post wich arent there. Changing someone’s held beliefs equals to deny a person freedom. If someone doesnt like skimpy outfits he has all the right to not wear skimpy outfits, but at the same time, the same person has no right to force other ppl to wear them. In the game there are skimpy & non-skimpy outfits, for each person to chose, so i rly dont see where the problem is.
