As a throwback to GW1’s Orge Slaying Knife,
Rune of Naga Slaying
+50% against Nagas
I ignored their advice at used my rifle and probably did better that way.
9/10 He seems like a fun guy.
My third Sylvari Character:
He’s meant to be an ingame cosplay of a character from something else, I’ll let you guess who and what of.
(edited by Alkonium.9164)
Scarlet Briar was a Sylvari Engineer.
6/10 – I’m sure it’s good, but the pose and the lighting make it really hard to tell.
Feanwan again, this time in uniform:
8/10 Great way to come up with a backstory without contradicting what’s already there.
Here’s one of my other two Sylavari: Colours are a bit off since I took this picture in the Mists.
Edit: Added a better picture.

I’ve been playing since launch and this the first I’ve heard of this feature.
Nothing’s wrong. His armour just clashes.
Some outfits are split on Asura though. Off the top of my head, there’s the Fancy Winter outfit and the Ancestral Dragon thing.
Sylvari can have sex and they will have sex with whoever they like, they are fully capable of doing so. But they don’t do it to create to new Sylvaris. They actually grow from the tree.
I find this hard to believe in.
Simply out of technical reasons – as in “How on Earth do they do it… ?”.
But also because it would be very strange for a species to have organs needed to have any form of sex while it is completely incapable of sexually reproducing.
This would very much change the way I look on Sylvari and they way the Sylvari community and relationships work :/
Presumably, they have human-like genitals, which lack reproductive function, but retain the same level of sensitivity.
The only theory that could explain the shape of Sylavri females is that the Pale Tree is trying to make her children resemble humans as much as it is possible because she was planted by a human (Ronan – a member of the Shining Blades during the Krytan civil war around 250 years ago).
Based on my understanding of the lore, that’s exactly what it is. Without that, there’s no reason for Sylvari to not just be all “male”.
6 charges are guaranteed because of the cities.
Then you have potentially 23 more just from mapping all the zones since you likely have a 95-99% of getting a charge instead of a BLK.This is per character.
That is not counting doing PvP reward tracks.
There’s also the potential to find charges in BLC’s.

The original “Charr week” articles mentioned a design choice for the charr females. One of the designers refused to give them just one pair of breasts; it’d either be 6 teats, just like cats, or flat-chested as they are now. It’s clear which one won out. As for the scrap draped across the chest in the shape of a bra, it might just be part of the uniform, since all charr are raised in the military tradition.
The sylvari directly take their form from humans, and inherit their dichotomy. The gender of the sylvari has absolutely no affect on them, as demonstrated in their culture and their high concentration same-sex pairings. I don’t think one form of partnership is more common than the other, and if you truly examined a sylvari’s breast, you’d find it functionless, as full of muscly tissue as the triceps or the thigh.
As for the asura, I associate them as a goblinoid race. I haven’t done extensive research into this field of fantasy, but I don’t ever really seeing them classified as mammalian. It’s not discussed in the game, but I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if there is an asura hatchery somewhere in Rata Sum where asuran children are left until they are hatched and then sent to school. It could also explain why there never seems to be a parent-child bond between asura and progeny as we see in human or even norn culture.
There are Asura progeny in Metrica Province making “Your mom” jokes, which end with “Seriously though, your mom’s really smart.”
Sylvari are just like that because the tree created them to look human. Who knows, maybe they produce syrup.
Well, we know they bleed sap, so I don’t think they lactate syrup.
while Sylvari, who are grown from pods and emerge fully grown and have no need of milk – have got breasts.
Frankly, there’s no real reason for Sylvari to have two sexes like the other races do. They might as well be all “male”, like Sontarans.
9/10 That is a great name.
Mine are once again Gellain, Feanwan, and Rian Sunspear.
9/10
If you’re going to reference marijuana, this seems like a better way to do it.
- All Outfit and Style purchases now come with one 1 free transmutation Stone per transaction on top of one time use item transmutation
Outfits are free to transmute already.
9/10 Well thought out, fits the naming convention, and it sounds good overall.
I don’t know if there was one of these before, but I got the idea from a similar thread in the human forum. As usual, it’s out of 10, and repeats are allowed, but using a different Asura character is preferred if you’re got more than one.
I’ll start us off:
6/10. The eyes are a little off-putting, so you lost points there.
(edited by Alkonium.9164)
I’m really not seeing the Doctor Who connection, unless they slip the TARDIS into a map or something.
Kormir wasn’t the patron diety of secrets when Orr sank.
True, but we’re not talking about Orr. We were referring to Queensdale in Kryta.
1. Integrate Breachmaker Debris into new buildings.
2. Retain its current “multiple cores” arrangement, since it encourage players to disperse in the city and reduces lag.
3. While this incarnation of Lion’s Arch was built with defending against Risen ships in mind, these defences proved useless against an aerial attack. To this end, I would make a point of adding charr-made anti-air turrets and asura-made shield generators to strategic locations.
In universe, it’s likely that they added a statue of her some time before the temple was destroyed. Out of universe, no idea.
I don’t see why they would, since outfits can already be worn over armour at all times.
Without going back to cutscenes, how would you make it possible to skip dialogue again?
7/10 Iris is a great name, but the last name’s a mouthful, and Sylvari don’t generally have them anyway.
In fairness, I’m pretty sure it was only Ascalonians who wore their enemies’ skins. No other human culture in Tyria seems to have done that.
I simply made a point of playing at least one of every race and profession. Nothing else to it.
I’m not asking for the whole city to be fixed, but would the walkways be too much to ask? It’s kind of annoying to have to watch your step on them.
Embla Rimgalder – 9/10 Rangers do actually get some attacks that deal frost damage.
Disa Rúndottir 10/10 – Again, Guardians are considered casters anyway.
Again, mine are Idgrod Sthairdottir and Thor Bartilson
I realize the previous picture I posted of Nuuina may not have been that cute. Here’s a better one.
8/10
Change the spelling and it could work.
Again, my asura’s name is Nuuina.
I’m under the impression that after everything with Scarlet in Season 1, they adopted a strict “No Sylvari” policy. I’m not saying I approve, mind you.
My money’s on the Asura. They’ve got the Gates, the Waypoints, and what are more or less mechs. Their technology is cleaner and more advanced than anyone else’s.
If the races went to war with each other, the Asura would be able to instantaneously travel anywhere in Tyria, while everyone is limited to travelling by foot or primitive motor vehicle.
Ooh! I’d make Living Story a musical! Just imagine…
- Kasmeer singing to Marjory, ‘I Put a Mez on You’.
- Marjory doesn’t sing but she dances to music that sounds remarkably similar to the theme from the 60s TV show ‘Bewitched’.
- Braham singing, ‘Norn to be Wild’.
- Taimi singing ‘The Sound of Science’.
- Rox, of course, would sing ‘Behind Charr Eyes’.
You can’t do that and not bring back voiced PC’s.
When you reach level 6, you get to choose between one of three dyes as a reward, along with the tutorials and whatnot. Unfortunately, it’s always the same three dyes. By the time I had a second character reach level 6 since the NPE, I had already unlocked all three choices on my account. Would it be possible in a future update to tweak this reward so it offers a randomly generated choice of three dyes the player hasn’t already unlocked instead of a static three dyes?
Is this one updated? I think they just add one right at the entrance.

I think there’s two new ones in Caledon, actually, plus one in Ashford.
I’ve actually noticed this intermittently on a brown haired female human character too.
Oh, you FINISHED the fear storyline, sorry I missed that. That means you’re on Chapter 8, which unlocks at L80.
I just checked the wiki. With the fear missions missing, I should still be only halfway through Chapter 7, with how things have been rearranged, I already did Temple of the Forgotten God as Gellain, but I didn’t do it yet with Nuuina. My next mission should be Against the Corruption on both of them. In addition, I’ve seen that the next chapter appears once you’ve completed the preceding one, even if you can’t play it yet, but it’s not showing up in either of their story panels.
