I know that this sort of thing must not be aimed at me, the type of person who cringes when he sees someone use the word “shipped”, or blanches at the idea of poorly written fan fiction.

I just wish it were a bit meatier.

That said, I liked it quite a bit for what it was, and the end reveal cinematic was gorgeous.

Just curious to know if anet has ever announced plans to update the archaic trading post system we are forced to use.

I don’t need to make huge lists of basic functions still missing or not working as intended, there are many posts about this already, I just want to know if they have any plans to update this UI or not.

Yeah, I heard for 2.0 it’ll be a call center with a switchboard, and you have to keep a chalk and slate to tally items. You’ll be mailed a slip of paper with your bid number on it, and will receive regular updates via telegraph if you’re outbid or have won the auction.

If you DO win the auction, you’ll have the item delivered, via pony, to you character.

Unless the pony and the rider get dysentery and die crossing the river because of a broken axle.

If that happens, you have to start Oregon Trail all over.

I have the same feeling with Charged Quartz. Got like 5 stacks of that and tons of dragonite ore.

I don’t know for certain, but I can ballpark it at ~4-500$USD.

Far more than I’ve spent on any other game.

at 10-25$ a go, it’s a lot easier to rationalize it.

Gotten some great stuff, between bag slots and fun skins, FAR too many rng items, and many a HOLY KITTYCAT moment when I get, say, Unopened Endless Mystery Tonic, or some other lucrative thing.

Well, not many. But the few that have happened definitely hit my addiction centers, because I’m still spending way too much on RNG.

Bought Braham’s Mace, missed out on the shield.
Missed out on toxic shoulders/gloves.
Spent about 2k gems on char slots for em to go on sale the day after.

Overall, I’m still enjoying the hell outta myself, but are you?

can’t search for skins on tp, and listing shows “unknown x skin” where x is the type, greatsword, hammer, etc.

They’re not showing up on the trading post.

go to accept a queue pop, (usually just be to another OF anyways) and get network error, then be stuck in overflow hell.

To clarify, this has only happened when guesting, which i know, shouldn’t be a big complaint, but guesting is how people not on stackgate get a select few events done.

Well hell, just make it like spvp then if you want all equipment accessible.

I’m in heart of the mists alot, and like to go grab auctions, etc. but i zone out of mists and get booted out of terrace, and have to use item again.

The unid dye is BOA, but after it’s id’d you can sell it. I’m only using those on chars i have few dyes unlocked on.

I’d think you can use em as part of the gift that requires unid dyes too, but can’t say for sure.

Yeah, i’ve got about 45k thick armor on my other acct (that I do all my trading on), bought at 1c above vendor… worst case it’s taking up space, but i’m not exactly worried about it.

Doubt you’d be calling for a rollback if you had taken the initiative and bought those in bulk and flipped, opening some for yourself.

I’d be mostly okay if i found recompense in 25 crystal/charge rolled back, even though that’s not equal since it’s 25+1day, it was a mistake, but if it’s rolled back, it needs to be done without detriment to players who were at no fault.

Ugh, the toxicity on this thread is getting terrible. And people from all sides are just fanning the flames. This is a game, it’s supposed to be fun. If you’re not having fun, then please don’t throw the blame around the board on why you aren’t having fun. So even if Ehmry Bay does lose this week, what does it even prove? It proves that the opposing teams put up the better fight. Nothing more, nothing less.

I admire everyone’s enthusiasm this week, but some of these comments are taking things way too far. So everyone just relax and have fun. May the best server win, and may they express their victory in a courteous and sportsmanlike manner.

Unfortunately, you won’t get that from many BP on these forums. They are the kings of chest-thumping…which is also why they make so many enemies as a server.

I’m relatively unrustled, and in fact had a blast thru leagues, even when it was a bigtime loss of a week.

Finding good one on ones and small scale fights, and just enjoying wvw overall is great.

Only thing that slightly bugged me was the slight tickle you gave my nuggets implying that distant matches past correlated to recent or current performance.

Outside of matches where it’s been heavily implied that you acted with outside help, I see nothing to state that today’s Ehmry Bay is on the same level that Borlis is.

It’s possible, but it’s more likely that the people who wanna get it done are/have/will guest on a server with a track record of doing it.

That’s what i mean by saying that the way it’s playing out is encouraging guesting.

Well yeah. and I’m not even from TC, but when it looks like the only way to down it is on a main map on a large server, you’re essentially saying, “guest here”.

Just a messy event all around.

And downed him on TC. with a fair amount of time left. Yeah, the hardest part was getting into the main map.

Was in TC’s main for an attempt that got to ~5%. Considering I’ve never been in one that’s gone for <85-90%, that’s encouraging. Think I’ll stick around, gives me time to farm platinum and logs while i’m at it.

Managed to get into tarnished coast’s main, now to wait, and see if it’s successful. Hardest struggle might have been to get into a main, and the wait.

Seems like the content should pose more challenge than getting to it.

Seriously. I dunno if i need a guild invite to someone/group who’s killing him regularly, or what.

Not having any luck on my home server of BP.

Same thing here. I could use a kill, it’ll be my first.

Obviously between gearboxes and personal stock, people are saving masterwork items. I’ve got a personal interest, since I have alot of them socked away. Already have a bunch i got either dropped or ~vendor price on the tp for 5-7s, and a good handful of those have sold.

Any idea/speculation on price that it may rise to?

I doubt it’d hit >10s, but is 5s a fair guess?
