Look I really didn’t mean it to be ‘cheap tactic’. I’ve been a ranger for over 8 years from gw1/2 and I can help with battle if I find a good vantage, in the same way rangers have little defence in Melle.

It really isn’t ‘cheap’ as a ranger with my bow to find somewhere in battle that I can find others can’t.

I’m a Ranger, it’s what I do.

Then what on earth is the point of being a ranger Aidan? There’s plenty of bosses who I have to ‘pay’ as you say.

I’m a tactical player young man.

As a Ranger, it’s incumbent on me to find the best vantage points in which to attack from, so can anyone tell me why, they’ve put this ridiculous tower on the platform?

As far as I can see it’s to stop people getting on top, but everyone can still hit from where I’m standing and not take damage.

It just irritates me that Areanet don’t want Rangers to find places to fight from and keep doing utterly pointless stuff as per pic.

Are we going to get a festival again? Annoys me a bit that festivals were taken quite seriously in GW1, kind of seems here it’s a case of thinking about getting people to buy gems. Makes me sad in lot’s of way, bring back the developers who worked on GW1 – They loved the game and kind of got it.

Find that part of the update entirely counter-productive, especially when you hear the Dev’s harp on about ‘bringing people together’, utterly ruined something more than anything else that did. Well done. Sigh

Same Here, EU Gunnars Hold, England. Dc every ten minutes or so ever since the update. Game is now unplayable.

It was never going to live up to gw1, it’s just what it is. I have my Legendary, but more, I’ve met people through getting it. Not much left to do now. Took me so long to get to level 20 in gw1 and I was so chuffed, took me about a month to get lvl 80 in gw2. Doesn’t matter but I don’t think the genius behind gw1 is in gw2. xx

Like Booger said, I’m holding out there will be more to Halloween yet, if there isn’t, I think they will have to consider it a failure this year. It’s just felt so empty compared to last.

I don’t know why they messed with it, feels utterly empty compared to last year. Also frustrating having been preaching to my guild about how good it’s going to be again, only for it to turn out to be kitten , cheers for that.

That Halloween Jumping Puzzle drove me to despair last year, must have tried hundreds of times and failed, that said, I have no doubt I will be attempting the same if not more times this year!! Grrr, I will complete it!

cheers guys, sort of what I mean, no inherent value, just clicked the wrong one but to be honest, I once got a pre and it amazingly ‘got lost’ from my inventory when I logged in. Despite lot’s of emails, they couldn’t see I ever had it as they put despite the screenshots. I’ve sort of lost faith in the game really in that respect. Was stupid of me not to click the right armour but it’s not as if the economics of the game will tilt if they were to swap it. They won’t. I thought American’s cared!

Sodded if I’m making a new char for it. Shouldn’t really make it account bound would rather be able to give it away but bin time.

I saved up to get enough gems to get the new Aetherblade armor and as Ranger was after the Medium stuff which I had on preview. Problem is I accidentally just clicked order but on the ‘Light’ skin.

Is there anyway they might swap it? Otherwise I have no use for it and I’ve kind of thrown away 25 gold or so!

Hi there mercury. Don’t think it can be that, we’ve done this quest on many occasions and at this point he usually goes slightly closer and the area which we’re attacking is ringed and the next stage spawns. We’ve even cleared the entire area leaving nothing standing and nothing happens, perhaps the screenshot attached will make the exact location clearer. We’re in Gunnars Hold server if anyone fancies chancing their arm at debugging it kitten to speak, but I tell ye, the Captain is not for turning.

Can’t see it having been mentioned but the “Charr and Vanguard forces are assaulting Foulbear Kraal and its leaders” often bugs. All appears fine until you accompany Captain Gregory who on approach to Hunter’s Gorge suddenly decides to stop and do, well, bugger all. When you go to talk to him, he’s full of fascinating and insightful comments such as “May the God’s protect you” and “Greetings friend”. Personally I find him a congenial kind of chap but it would be awfully helpful if he’d just continue the assault.

I’m glad part of the storyline is to be in Divinity, much underused City and far better looking than LA. Enjoying Dragon Bash, altogether had hoped Moa Racing would have been playable….Sucks compared to Bettle Racing in GW1.

It’s a real shame GW2 is now actively trying to get more and more people to buy gems with real money to complete events and buy stuff from the TP. I was hopeful the Moa Racing might resemble the Beetle racing in GW1 which was great fun, but nope, another ‘game’ to get you spending.

Shame really, GW2 could have been great, but it’s turning out to be very cynically run.

I do think the game has now become so obsessed with TP. Everything is setup to get people to spend more real money on buying gems to convert to gold, shame really.

Yeah I got a two penneth response (initially asking the exact time when the incident occurred which was a ridiculous question) and then:

“While I would like to replace or restore your items, the Guild Wars Support Team is unable to replace individual items for the situation that you have described.”

In other words they won’t. A cynic might think the idea is people get so despondent and annoyed, Areanet hope they will spend money on Gems to replace it. Capitalism in motion.

I’ve had pretty much the same. I was lucky enough to forge get Spark from the forge a few days but as a Ranger, I sold it and bought The Leaf of Kudzu. Yesterday had it in my inventory before going to bed, logged in this morning and it’s simply vanished. Got screen shots from TP to show I had it and attached that to the ticket. Not a clue if I’ve been hacked or what’s happened. Needless to say I’m currently not a happy bunny.

Is it just me that when Teleporting to a waypoint, I seem to have to wait 20 seconds or so until I can move? Slightly annoying for example when I teleport to Splintered Coast and get stuck, the risen often kill me and ruin my armor before I can move!

I have to say I think making the WvW maps part of the world map completion was a mistake. I love the game but I have no interest in the WvW part but attempting to complete the world map is incredibly irritating whilst continually being attacked by other players. Surely there could be something introduced to highlight a players is simply in the region for map completion purposes and not to join in the general battling.

In fact it appears pretty much entirely dormant. Now judging by other threads, the Meta events tend to happen on average every three hours as per the dragons do yet the Swamp, or Yoda land as I like to call it appears to remain dormant for days on end. Does anyone know if there is something specific that triggers it or is this a known issue?

Had the game a good few weeks now and never been able to buy anything. All looks fine except the ‘buy’ button is always greyed out. Checked all the normal solutions, still nothing. Is there any chance of an official reply from the developers at all? Tis a tad frustrating.

Managed to get it completed finally. Basically I ran in front of the NPC’s and aggroed all foes so they flocked to us. Makes each Tower longer to complete but at least they don’t then get stuck under the collapsed tower.

I’m a Human Ranger playing solo, as with everyone else, get’s stuck although states I’ve cleared the beach. Gone back and checked area is fully cleared and it is. Incredibly frustrating, any chance of an update as to what’s happening with it please?
