Arrowcarts are erally ruining WVW for me. And don´t give me that “they are there to whipe the Zerg” kitten…Imagine that: The Zwerg can plant arrowcarts too.
Oh the fun of storming a castle that does not just have the same amount of people in it then the force that lays siege but also has more arrowcarts..
Really, something has to be done to nerf arrowcarts

Wel the same 5 guys that always post wehen it comes to “we want more gear” are here again. Mybe you should take a close look at the past. When Anet came along with ascended gear the forums expoded with rage as the clear and obvious majority of Posters didn´t want a gear treadmill. When they added coll and fun stuff with only cosmetics aka the Super adventure box the dorums whree full of praise.
Take a guess which direction they will be going in the future
Feel free to point out any other MMO over the past 8 years that was more complete than this game was at launch. The only one I can think of would be RIFT
Agreed, RIFT was very polished but what people for some reason seem to forget is that PVP was pretty much unplayable in RIft for the first month due to that massive armor bug… .. so even RIFT had bugs.

First up I really think that this game is as good as any mmorpg can get at release,
and Ixal, you should at least get your facts right, MOP´s launch was announced AFTER
GW2 launch was announced
DEar OP. You seem to suffer from a known disease called WOWits. It’s symptoms are:
- comparing every aspect of the game you play with wow with prejudice towards the newest game you are trying
- missing dearly wow but not returning
- an unfinished case of addiction towards wow
- trying to prove to yourself that all games are not as good as wow till you convince yourself to return
The case here is simple. For some reason you decided to move away from wow, maybe a desperate attempt to solve your addiction, maybe you got bored from the same features you praise, but the fact is that you are clearly fooling yourself in Guild Wars 2 or any other MMORPG.
You don’t want to be in another MMORPG. You want to be in wow. You come to any new MMORPG to immediately bash it and not try to have fun. All you want is to prove to yourself that they are not as good as wow.
I suggest going back there and finish your addiction (psycological one) with World of Warcraft. Many players have become like you and i understand that it is hard to forget something that owns you.
Still it is your only way of ever having fun again in the world of MMORPG. You see a dilemma. You got bored of wow but everything else isn’t as good as wow for you. What you are forgetting to see is that wow isn’t all that thing, but like our kids we tend to see only the best of them.
It’s up to you to return to wow and end your addiction. Only then you will be able to enjoy another MMORPG free of guilty of betraying your beloved one. It’s not about Guild Wars 2 or any other MMORPG you might get from now on. It’s about your unfinished businss with your wow addiction.
This is exactly what I think is the problem with a lot of people these days. The sad thing is that they probably don´t even realise that they are addicted.

The last official sub numbers published by blizzard themselfes where 9 million subs.
Even at the hight of 12 million subs only abot 4 million of them paid monthly fees as there is no such thing in China etc.
Blizzard has not announced any official numbers for the sales of this last expansion when usually at this point they boasted with new records.. I wonder why

The server population displayed is NOT the number of account´s on that server.

I play on Riverside Eu.. I get Overflows a lot and not only in Lions arch and i regulary have more then 100 guildies on. I Do have long ques for wvw and no you don´t know the future. And if you really think this game will go the same way as swtor.. well I will call that nonsense.
@ Razamis.. sure that must be the reason I´m still transfered to overflow servers and there is still a long que for wvw… and there is over a hundred guildies on every night.

suddenly is fun Cephei? Well in my opinion it is not and your lot should go and see a doctor for your severe gaming addiction. And I don´t say that to insult you.
Frnakly it sounds more like you want to copy WoW, you want “progression” introduced and you want PvP servers, that is WoW, Rift, SWTOR, etc, and guess what PvP falls off in every one of those games.
If you want the utter failure that is progression and the imabalance and bad PvP that causes, then guess what – GW2 is not the game for you, there are plenty of other options.
I never played Rift or SWTOR, but I did play some WoW – on a “PVP” server – and they were a prime example on how not to do PvP. I’ll give you an example, an old roommate of mine played WoW for a very long time, so 1 year ago i walked into his room and I saw he was grinding some PVE-content in the game. Suddenly, a member of the other faction pops up, and i’m like “OMFG, ALLIANCE! KILL HIM!”. He goes: “No, why would I?”
And there it is, point in case. There was no motivation to PVP on the WOW “PVP” servers.
Then go and play EVE, Tera, Mortals Online(can’t remember whether it has factions), Runes Of Magic, etc, there you can outgear people and gank like a true Pver to your hearts content.
One of the key pinciples in GW2 is balanced PvP, so they are not going to introduce any meaningful gear stat/ skills progession to cause imbalances, nor open world PvP (which outside of EVE dies a miserable death in every MMORPG), you are playing the wrong game for that, try something else.
The WvW principle is unbalanced as a philosophy, and I don’t care if Anet tells you anyhting else. Gear will win. Just take a look at Kripparrians Berserker ranger lol. WvW isn’t balanced, and it never will be. Gear gives you an edge, why shouldn’t 2 years WvW give you an advantage over someone that just bought the game? It’s not like it’s not there already.
The gear takes very little time to get, that is the point. The advantage someone has over two someone new is experience, bads needing more of an advantage should look elsewhere, there are plenty of games with open world PvP and lopsided gear/skill/stat progression if you can’t cope with a more level playing field.
So what do you do once you’re in full exo? Kill people in the WvWs for no reason?
Yes.. you should actually do that just for the FUN something you no longer seem to know , having been brainwashed by the mmo industry.

At least to me it was obvious that PVP would be the core of Gw2 and that this game would cater much more to the PVP crowd. You want a PVe centric game? Theer is plenty of those.. play one of them. See if having one raid every year (or half year if its rift ) is that mch more interesting. I bet you´ll find yourself standing in the capital beeing bored as well
only your user feedback doesn´t make good games… things like these have been tried an failed miserably.. it didn´t even wotk in UO… as soon as it was possible people switched to the “no thank you no PVP” world.

So, with all that you have seen about Guildwars 2 before release Metallripper an with all you knew about Guildwars 1 you honestly thought that Gw2 was going to be a Pve Game and not a PVP centric game with some Pve added?
