In this game we can’t duel, we can’t so much RP or just have fun and express ourselves.

Why?

Guild Suggestions:
-Ability to send Guild Wide Mail
-Ability to send Officer Mail
-A Chat channel for Guild officers
-a Log in or log off indication in guild chat of members
-Message of the day being auto posted in guild chat upon log in.
-A last log in time for guild members in roster
-List of other guilds your members are representing or members of.

Still no change or update for some standard guild options? ANET it is frustrating trying to run a guild with no tools.

How long has this game been out and still they have not implemented better guild options? seriously?

When we had the last 2 guild events, it really was aweful I couldn’t send guild mail to announce it.
At our Xmas guild party, we had gifts for everyone and couldn’t send them during event because of message suppression.

FIX PLEASE!

Basic..BASIC guild options that is standard for MMO’s at launch still haven’t been implemented? WTH?

It took me several attempts to send mail to the members of a small guild, due to the stupid suppression message. Please implement this request!

This is needed to help get all guild members on the same page, it is extensively time consuming to write all members with message suppression. We have a guild event coming up and have no simple way of relaying all details.

1. Message of the day doesn’t auto post in guild chat upon log on, and NOT everyone goes to Guild tab to read it.

2. Can’t copy and paste guild event info in mails to guild members because of message suppression.

This option is needed badly! PLEASE help us run our guilds better.

Yes! PLEASE! We have an event Saturday, tried to send guild members messages inviting them as a reminder. I stopped after 6 messages because after 3 messages “Message suppression” was triggered. This means afterward to made wait 2 mins between posts.

PLEASE DISABLE THIS IN INNER GUILD MAIL! The player should not be punished for gold spammers or other people.

1.Add an option for an officer to send guild wide mail.
2. Stop message suppression!
3. Have Message of the Day auto posted upon log on in Guild chat! <——-This would help us effectively communicate timely, important INFO!

Question 2: It means that that person was kicked from the guild for whatever reasons the leadership deemed it necessary.

No one has kicked this person from the guild, which I find weird. Maybe they left or deleted their account?

It is really a struggle to get all members on an external website.

The whole multi-guild thing i think takes away from a guild’s community if they are in too many guilds to forms friendships or be aware of the guild events.

Since there is no helpful tools to managing guild in this game (last log in time) I have some questions and was hoping ANET or another player could help me.

I heard:
Some guild leaders use server restarts in order to keep track who is active. When server restarts all information from the roster is erased and everyone becomes “unknown”. Then I heard when someone logs in this “unknown” gets replaced with the character information. So for now I am looking at who is my roster is unknown.

1. Question is: Is server restarts the same as the message we get that “New build is available”?

Or is a server restart different than that?

Question #2 If you see a person is removed from roster and is no longer there, but see no indications from guild history that they have left, what does that mean? Did they delete their character??

Why is there not server dedicated forums for general gameplay and PVP?

Especially in guild section.

This does not help foster an environment for a tight community or unity.

We need more reasons for guilds to exist and the guild interface needs a makeover. This is one of the least social MMOs I’ve ever been a part of in the last 14 years.

i 100% agree between no guild halls, no inner guild mail, limited emotes and a number of standard guild options, it really is. Our entire guild were talking about this last night.

I like this as well, not to weed people out, but just as a great tool to see who is active, and how many current active members you have.

At least stop it in inner guild mail. It is ridiculous I cannot send guild wide mail as an option anyway, but try copying and pasting a guild event message in 50 different mails, with message suppression…. Will make you want to kill kittens.

Can you please consider custom chat channels? The ability to crate a chat channel and others to join it… Many people miss stuff in guild chat because they are not representing and talking to their friends in another guild.

Custom chat channels would help this whole multi-guilding thing run so much smoother.

How hard can it be to make a option so you can see when guildmembers coming online and offline just like those ppl you have on your friendlist. It is a big social thing to see guildmembers coming online so you can say “hey” and start chating.

Yes, have said this MANY times in guild improvement threads. It helps all members create a friendly community by being able to greet people who come online.

I bring up Guild tab, probably 100 times a night to see has come online to greet them.

With no reasonable alternatives to the waypoint system, it’s highly unfortunate that aspects of the game design push players towards using a system which is so grossly overpriced.

Thirdly, for a casual, non farming player, it makes the use of waypoints a serious economical dilemma. […] However, in GW2, if one decides to, say, maintain a couple of crafts at a rate equal to level, and also save enough for training manuals, waypoint travel just isn’t in the budget anymore. In my case, I don’t even have the 1 gold right now to afford the middle manual for my main level 70. Did I mention repair costs?

This encapsulates the problem quite nicely. There are too many money sinks and not enough options for earning money.

Current money sinks:
Waypoint usage
Crafting (contingent on items only purchasable from vendors, etc)
Armour repair
Salvaging (cost of salvage kits; items yielded by salvaging have monetary values a tiny fraction of the original item’s value)
Use of the Trading Post (two taxes combined mean most TP transactions lose money compared to vendor cost (run of the mill items here people, not legendaries or rare dyes).

Combine this with the global, all-servers-wide trading post which seriously stifles raising money through the player economy (double taxation; supply vastly outstrips demand, which leads to the vast majority of player-crafted items being sold at cost), and you get a pretty clear picture.

Average age in guild is 30 years old, we have many couples, husband and wife teams, college students, professionals, parents and mature members who know how to have a good time. We have a great Guild Event scheduled for December 1st, as we will all run naked, as a guild through Tyria. So Look for us! We shall be streaking all areas on the evening of DECEMBER 1st!

I can’t get these people in my guild to shut up! So yes! we are talkative.
