I also have this issue on my account.
What he said
I don’t like being chilly ;_;
It’s def a nice staff, but it just doesn’t go with anything I’m wearing don’t y’know ;D
Nevermore is the sort of weapon that almost requires you to change whatever you have to fit it, not the other way around
yiss
To OP: I think the issue you are having is that you have found 20/20 POI which is different from me because I have 20/21 and I know where the last one is just not gotten around to doing it.
As others have said, you don’t get map completion credit/rewards if you do so on a character that had previously 100%ed Tyria. I did all four on my map completed Mesmer and didn’t get anything.
As was also said, apparently a couple HPs in VB are newly bugged to not count for map completion even if you are on an eligible character.
Auric Basin map completion gives no reward or experience.
e: evidently this is because characters with 100% world get nothing from completing HoT zones. So that I guess

The issue now is that Acro needs a lot of love on it’s own, it can’t stand as its own line: Pain Response is a terrible condi clear (at the very least it needs to add torment and confusion), Guarded Initiation is useless, and the GM’s are outshined by minor-adept/minor-master traits in other lines, making the entire Acro line redundant on so many levels!
((looks at Assassin’s Reward))
((looks at raids being built around continuous unavoidable damage))
I can’t say I agree.
If you need continuous healing in PvE (I say PvE because you mention raids) Invigorating Precision is a better choice, in a better traitline, than Assassin’s Reward. The only time that Acro “stands as its own line” is gimmick situations like laser disarming in Aether fractal, and even then it will be made obsolete when Daredevil is live.
Quote from his blog post:
Any consumable upgrades your guild has purchased that fall into the categories being removed will need to be used before the launch of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™ or they will disappear.
Will there be word on which consumables will be removed, soon? For example, will the guild world event consumables still exist?
This might have come up already, but since the Stealth Gyro was talked about today I’m going to mention it anyway. Stealth is more accessible to other classes now than it used to be, particularly the mesmer and engie, so adding more ways of knocking enemy players out of stealth is logical. However, thief is balanced around stealth in a way the other classes aren’t, meaning between the changes to Shadow Arts and on/in stealth traits, Revealed lasting 4 seconds in pvp rather than 3, and the new sources of Revealed popping up all over the place, we’re eating a lot of indirect nerfs and not getting much compensation. Is it reasonable to suggest that the Revealed-applying skills be changed to, instead of applying Revealed, simply removing stealth from affected players? A thief (or any other class) would still lose the benefits of stealth and be exposed to enemy players; they would need to spend initiative or a utility to go back into it, while not being completely hard-countered by the click of a button.
e: this isn’t 100% on-topic for daredevil feedback, but it does affect us more than any other class, so voila

I would argue that Warrior Shout window art isnt a weapon currently in the game nor playable unless they plan to get conjures or kits.(great axe)
That’s a good point, but what really clinches thief staff is that the weapon is in game and has been datamined along with a slew of other specialization rewards. If it were the art alone I would also be inclined to call it artistic license.
Something tells me the datamined image might have just been an option for the Acrobatics trait line. Concept art has never been canon to lore or game mechanics (see: capes and polearms), and the supposed Druid specialization datamined image is actually just the Beastmastery trait line concept art.
But the images aren’t concept art, nearly all of them are currently in-game as specialization/skill training background images. The staff artwork is the only thief image not currently used in-game. Additionally, despite the druid art being used for beastmastery and the dragonhunter art for honor, they are still weapons that the class will use. The guardian isn’t pictured with pistols, the ranger isn’t pictured with a shield.
The thief is pictured with a staff, the exact model of which has also been datamined.

Yeah, all of the points you make are supported both by some personal testing and the updated [DnT] thief build video. Shame on you, Metabattle.

Yeah. But that thing around his head looks much more like a blindfold than a headband. And the colors really aren’t completely off for Revenant. Revenant is Red Black and White.
It’s the Sneakthief helm (and shoulders, and chestpiece).
Those Revenant pictures are blue/violet/red. The thief ones are red/gray/black.
Edit for pictures.
(edited by BIRDPUNCHER.8263)
Still say that looks more like a Revenent than a Thief.
The colors are wrong for a Revenant (see their art here: http://imgur.com/a/cIOW3#PYyAIhG ) and match those of the Thief.
It’s the only piece of thief art from that album unaccounted for in-game.
He’s wearing medium armor.
And then you realize Guarded Intention had the resistance boon removed…….
I’m not able to log on to check, but this is what I stumbled up on dulfy: http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/gw2-guarded-initiation.jpg
Was it changed since?
See attached.
(not salty I swear I just thought it was funny)

I hope you recorded in your dev book that a four-man Abjured team, plus you, blowing out a team of five solos is not very good matchmaking. (Granted, our team comp was not stellar.) We did manage to score 19 points though! Good job us.
Some day I’ll have my revenge, you’ll see.
(edited by BIRDPUNCHER.8263)
I was really pulling for thief staff but it seems unlikely since Ranger is getting that. Now I’m interested in MH/OH mace as a short-range, low-damage CC weapon. Or throwing axes as a medium-range weapon.
Or really anything but rifle.
Are you guys in parties? I switched to another character that wasn’t stuck in Plains and dropped party, and then when I switched back to the stuck character she loaded in immediately. Weird.
Having this exact issue.
Update: The guild also has not been accruing influence since this began.
Hi! There are currently issues with the guild UI, and I’m not sure if it’s unique to us (Goon Squad, NA) or if other guilds are experiencing this too. We maintain constant +10% Gathering/Magic Find and +15% Karma boosts, and at the moment the buffs are neither showing up via the guild icon on the top left of the screen, nor in the list of active/built buffs. Checking the Hero panel confirms that the +10% MF isn’t being applied to our characters.
Additionally, while we had several upgrades waiting in the build queue, the queue is now empty. The missing upgrades are not available as finished, and we cannot add any new buffs to the now-empty queue, as the Add button is unresponsive.
The Activate button for built upgrades is unresponsive as well.
Thanks. (:
e: Our guild bank is also inaccessible at this time.

I’m a full zerk thief running d/d and sb, 56003, and run 49 fractals daily. 40, too, if I’m especially bored. Holding up the lack of videos as proof of no melee thieves in fractals is silly: how many people record and upload their daily fractaling experience? One out of thousands? And only then if it is a timed run, or a solo, or something otherwise out of the ordinary.
Staying alive in melee is a combination of knowing the fight, knowing your class, and knowing when to back off. Shaman raises his arm? Dodge. Fighting Mai Trin? Invest in Shadow Arts. Have aggro? Swap to shortbow, kite a bit until he’s back on a teammate, then hop back into the fray.
If you are inexperienced, sure, run p/p at low levels while you learn mechanics. But refusing to learn d/d playstyle is a disservice to yourself and your teammates. Your damage as p/p is middling at best—downright bad if you’re geared with defensive armor—and the only other thing you bring to the table is the occasional stealth bomb. There’s no reason to take you over an engineer or a Mesmer, at that point: they’d put out competitive numbers and offer more utility.
Getting hit and downed occasionally isn’t a big deal, either. It happens to everybody. If anything, my teammates usually get downed more than I do: since I am so fragile, I’m alert to tells and dangers that they aren’t.
I read a while back the way main-handed weapons are coded they always affect skills 1 – 3, so even though thief normally has a dual wield skill in slot 3, they needed to toss something in that 3rd slot for consistency when the thief has no off-hand.
I’m not sure how true that is, but there you go.
Yeah seriously. All you need is SR, SoS and Infiltrator’s Arrow.
People that complain that SR is OP or needs a nerf are clearly new to PvP. The only time SR presents a clear advantage is if the thief throws it on a downed ally to prevent a stomp, and even so:
1) half of the time, the downed ally reveals himself accidentally, and/or
2) the enemy simply pours AoE onto the SR, killing one or both of the players inside, and/or
3) the enemy fears or KBs the thief out of SR, revealing her in the process.
As earlier stated, if a thief SRs herself on a control point, you are free to briefly leave the area, forcing her, again, to reveal herself or to sit on the point for 20 seconds in stealth. Again, you may also pour AoE onto the SR circle or utilize knock backs if you want to force the thief’s hand. If a thief low in HP drops SR to save herself, you are the one that holds the advantage. You can also easily predict a forthcoming attack or escape based on the position of the SR and how long it has existed.
While I main a thief in PvE I prefer guardian in sPvP, and in my opinion SR is actually one of the better balanced skills in terms of rewards vs possible counters.
Oh my god I love it!! Thank you so much!!!
At the moment we are fighting to claim and control the zone, and the single waypoint contributes well to the battlefield experience.
However, there are a few areas to the west blocked by vines. On the next step of the living story, as the Pact forces its way west, I imagine that the Silverwastes assaults will become less frequent, we will be given access to a new part of that zone, and in the newly available area there will be another waypoint.
Anet clearly has plans for us going forward.
That makes the assumption that they are adding to this zone (as they did with Dry Top) rather than simply adding a new zone.
I, frankly, hope that they leave The Silverwastes as is and expand westward with more zones. Silverwastes is perfectly balanced for what it is, and expanding it would only risk ruining the great gameplay that it has.
Even so, giving us a new, neighboring zone would mean another waypoint by the zone entrance.

Welp, 210g it is!
That’s fantastic, great job!
Guess I will up mine to 125. (:

I’d be happy with either color scheme, just pick whichever you would rather work with. (: I’d like to add her miniature raven to the portrait, too, if that’s okay — on her shoulder or fist or something like that.
If you need any more information I’ll edit it into this post!
Hi Meve! I’d like to offer 85g for a spot in the queue, please. (:
I hope they are adding the wings that are missing from the Raiment of the Lich outfit as a backpack skin.
Or maybe a Mad King helm~
stuff
I think Ein was trying to point out the weaknesses based on average skill level gameplay but failed to mention it. I wouldn’t expect the average player to be proficient enough in thief survival to be able to maximize their DPS either, because the amount of effort and concentration required is more than a few notches above what an average player with basic knowledge can achieve.
Even if thief has the highest DPS, it doesn’t mean that any player will be able to use it effectively, if at all. It still doesn’t change the fact that you have to be good with the thief to be more than a stealth bot or pure DPS. That is the source of the complaints from the thief’s side.
Also Ein’s post was made over a year ago. So there’s that.
1.): yes u rely on BS till boss is at 25% then heartseeker spam.
Technically if you are flanking the boss you begin HS spam at 50%. If you aren’t flanking, don’t bother backstabbing at all.
No need to apologize, Shilane. I hope things get better for you. (:
Awesome, thank you! Here’s my thief Lorikeet from various sides: http://i.imgur.com/MCkvnwS.png and a close up of her face http://i.imgur.com/Cv3wSdq.png
Her eyes are meant to be more of a chocolate brown but that color doesn’t seem to exist in-game! I’d love a digital, full color, half body piece; I think of her as an orphan who rose to power through wits and sexuality, and wants for nothing due to her skills as a thief and assassin. Her headpiece is optional; her loyal companion is her miniature raven, so I’d love if he could be in the portrait too. (:
Is that enough for a start? I’ve sent you 100g in game, just let me know if the raven is extra and I’ll send some more!

OP, you might be getting a disproportionate amount of flak since you seem to run a condition damage guardian build. A guardian’s only reliable condi source is burning, which doesn’t stack in intensity and can be overwritten by other players. It lacks access to the truly damaging conditions (poison, bleed stacks), so using a condition damage build as a guardian is a sign that you are a bit confused about your class.
Despite condition damage being suboptimal in PvE, several classes can be very effective with condi builds — necromancers, engineers, etc. Guardian simply isn’t one of them. If you were willing to try out a power or support build in dungeons I think you’d find the GW2 community is more laid back than you think.

Hi Shilane! I’d love to take the last spot in your commissions queue if it’s still open. If it is I’ll post the screens of my character and whatever other details you’d like!
Correct, I’m wearing Magitech legs and Strider top in that screenshot. (:
Goshawk the pirate queen~
where did u get those Shoulders ? i guess its Stalwart skin …
Stalwart, yes (: From PvP before the April patch.
+1 hoping Lyasa and her chickens are okay, she’s one of my favorite overworld NPCs! (:
its just rediculous, i crafted 6 legendaries and get no title same achievment points as someone who crafts 2 rodgort flames …. even though the title is lame (tiwce-told a legend) but its just plain stupid to throw an extra achievment for this in the ring now.
But according to your signature you have two Sunrises so you should be eligible for the title anyway…
Yes but, u will place buy orders + making the clovers will save some gold
Not necessarily. gw2legendary assumes that it’ll take you 77 tries to make 77 clovers, when in reality you only have a ~33% chance to craft one.
Crown Pavilion farming has a lot of players building legendaries and/or converting surplus skill points into weapons to sell. Both legendary gifts and Mystic weapons require coins.
I seem to remember the same thing happening during the Aetherblade farms.
