Cannot keep up with my thief buddy :(
Constantly failing my dodge jumping even after binding it to mouse 7+8 which I can press with 1 finger (lol)
Can i make a macro in Razer Synapse to input 2 commands with 1 button click or is that against eula?
edit: also did devs make a statement about dodge-jumping is it a feature or a bug?
My pedantry refuses to let this past: your opinions are not in any way more objective than any other opinions, and any argument that requires accepting otherwise is weak, at best.
At the end of the day, though:
One, there is absolutely no obligation for a player to do anything other than ignore you, and I certainly have a policy that if someone whispers me asking “are you a bot” while I’m playing the game, I just ignore them — nothing productive is going to come out of any answer.
(Also, this happens when I’m actively running around farming stuff. I guess … I’m a bit mechanical or something? Feels bad, yo, and that is with the most neutral “are you botting?” question, let alone when it comes with frothing insults.)
Two, you are absolutely, positively correct to keep reporting these using the in-game tools. ANet will investigate and take action as appropriate.
Three, there is nothing of value going to come out of posting this thread. People who agree with you already agree with you. People who don’t, already don’t. It’s not going to change hearts or minds. Just … report that stuff and move on.
(and if it’s too annoying that anet don’t take the action you want taken, consider if “move on” should apply to the entire game, in favor of something that does have the rules you want?)
By objectively toxic I mean that this subject produces polar opinions and sparks unhealthy debate, I do not state that my opinion is objective, but you cannot deny that this subject is heated and unpleasant. Besides as you can see I don’t feel strongly one way or another, my opinion is simply that we need a fix so that farms are either supported or unsupported.
Also I specifically named this thread the way I did to sarcastically point out that this subject is constantly discussed yet we still haven’t seen any direct or indirect action in any of the countless patches since the issue became apparent.
These threads create pressure and only constant pressure can produce change, even if my tiny thread won’t be seen by anyone important, I still have right to post a thread about necrofarms if I don’t see one on the 1st or 2nd page.
These “crybaby” shouts ruin immersion and are bad game design. Adding to injury is the fact that they are very useful while doing open world PvE since they are the only ones that give Swiftness and therefore save you lots of time. So I end up being a full emo when doing open world PvE.
And judging by the skill description and what they actually do the “Retreat” looks more like “Onward To Victory” and “Save Yourselves” looks more like “We Are Unstoppable!” or something along those lines.
Guardians should be all about virtues, well cowardice and selfishness don’t really fit in with the guardian’s lore.
AFK necrofarms are objectively toxic. Because on one hand it’s “legal” botting on the other hand it’s a catch up mechanic for people who can’t play as long as others (???).
Either A: Implement a more straightforward way to AFK farm in this game, like they did in BDO, where you can AFK fish, train horses to sell, process materials into more expensive ones, collect water for cooking over a period of 10+ hours while AFKing, this is supported by the game and isn’t compulsory.
Or B: Fix the fact that autocast counts as input, cause it shouldn’t, and kick people if there isn’t any input after a certain time, even if they are in combat.
Meanwhile I will keep reporting AFK necrofarmers as botters if they consistently do damage to monsters and won’t respond after 30 seconds, because the in-game report feature, under botting, doesn’t mention that a 3rd party program has to be involved.
I loved the new SAB cloud glider because my character stands on the cloud like a boss, this makes this glider totally unique and makes it stand out from any other glider, now that we know it’s possible could you add more of these vertical gliders like flying discs, carpets, flying surfboard, rocket boots, winged sandals, propeller hat, holding umbrella/balloon to glide, actual HD realistic cloud glider, it would suck if SAB cloud ends up being the only standing glider in existence.
Your idea is terrible, don’t add tiered and more powerful gear please, I like having same stats and just different skins of armor, the addition of ascended equipment is disturbing enough, I would rather have legendary rings with same stats but that would give you glow animations, weapon particle effects, trails and footsteps instead of the 5% more stats which I feel I MUST get in order to be on par with other players. It’s terrible, I want to play an MMO where I go on a vacation for a year, come back and join the latest added dungeon and be viable, sort of like GW1.
Respawn window should be increased to 2-10 hours, making the event appear from 2 to 12 times per day. People don’t get the point. I’m sorry but you aren’t supposed to farm these events, the increased loot rewards were implemented so that people would participate once the event has been initiated, not camp in the zone for 30 minutes and get a lousy yellow drop.

Would be nice if I could get some thoughts on my suggestions.
List all bags on TP, list all salvagable trophies on TP, list leveling blues and greens (ones with power) on TP, list major runes and sigils on TP, list all crafting materials on TP, list all unidentified dyes on TP, list all mystic coins on TP, list all leveling jewels (ones with power) on TP, list some white equipment on TP.
Sell non leveling equipment and jewels to merchant along with all grays.
I could have told you not to get those kitten jewelry boxes after I opened 200 of them. They aren’t worth it when you can use the karma to get rare weapons to mf for chances at precursors (and obviously profit from any exotics). Plus, the only lodestone they ever drop is crystal (I actually got 5 crystal and 1 of all the others, but maybe I’m just unlucky.).
By buying jewelry boxes, selling everything you get on TP, and buying level 80 rare weapons from TP for the money you’ve got would result in about 4x more weapons.
I opened about the same amount of boxes over the entire time that I’m playing. I had only 75% boost, so far my stats are:
Started with 1.7 million karma
Used all the karma bottles with 75% boost and bought more boxes
Total of 57 gold obrained after selling all lodestones and grays.
What really surprises me is the amount of minis you’ve got, I only got 6 myself. But no matter they are worthless anyways.

5. Replace all Practice Dummies in LA with Golems.
Currently the practice dummies and targets are nearly useless. Please replace them with stationary, passive, crittable, killable, fast-respawning, unrewarding Asuran Golems, with different types of armor, hitpoints and distance from one another. We have that for sPvP why not have that for PvE?
4. More functionality for Trading Post
Ability to use " in Search (e.g. “major sigil” to display only major sigils instead of all sigils and all major things). Ability to search for certain stats and certain armor type. Ability to arrange by order price. Ability to link items from TP to chat.
3. Dynamic potency for stackable Boons and Conditions
Currently the system punishes groups whose performance strongly relies on various condition and boon stacks. What I suggest is to add a system where stacks are no longer present and all boons and conditions stack potency which diminishes over time gradually reaching zero potency and with it the boon/condition expires. That will mean all conditions and boons are slightly stronger at start and slightly weaker towards the end, remaining exactly the same on average. All condition and boon duration attributes need to be replaced with potency increase attributes. There will be no cap. This system is more fluid than what we have right now and I think it will have less impact on server performance.
2. Please punish botting and farming
First of all please display current total magic find. Add a daily magic find mechanic. And add some magic find up to a cap for each different type of monster killed. Make participation in events, killing champions, acquiring WPs PoIs Vistas slightly increase your daily magic find. Doing different daily dungeons, JPs, crafting, achievements could also increase your magic find. On the other hand make killing same monsters and remaining in the same particular area reduce the magic find in a geometric progression up to a point where you don’t get any loot drops until you increase your magic find using the methods discribed above or wait for 24 hours. This would allow normal players to gain similiar wealth over time as the bot farmers.
1. Move silver drops from bosses to dungeon completion window
Please move all guaranteed silver drops from bosses and chests to the dungeon completion reward pop-up window and make them subject to the diminishing returns currently active. Simple as that, easy solution. Up to 1 dungeon per day. I don’t know why it’s still not implemented. One path of one dungeon was, and still remains the money factory for bots and players alike, giving more gold in pure form than any other method in the game apart from TP manipulation.

Hello, instead of making a bunch of separate threads I’ve decided to put all of my suggestions into one thread. These suggestions are minor and easily implemented in future patches, neither of them require addition of new content, models or overly complicated scripts. maybe some of them are already underway. So here they are in order of increasing importance:
10. Cosmetic Underwater Breathers
Please just remove the stats and upgrade slot from underwater breathers, make them purely cosmetic, with your helmet stats working normally underwater. Also would be nice if they were dyeable.
9. Elonian Jewelry Boxes
Same mechanic as the Lost Orrian Jewelry Boxes, except purchasable from Miyani with skillpoints. Small chance for lodestones, some rare drops, gray sellable items, maybe a small chance of whatever Miyani also sells, like crystals or a bloodstone. Also a similiar “Box” idea would work well for the level 35-65 dungeon tokens to encourage people to run those dungeons more.
8. MF recipe for Fractal Weapons
Requiring a considerably large amount of fractal shards, a random fractal skin, a gift for 500 relics and an exotic level 80 weapon. Right now the fractal weapon skin system is terrible. Ofcourse you could make skins sellable on TP, but that won’t be as elegant as the MF solution.
7. Silver rewards from Fractals
I am not sure whether higher level fractals have increased rewards. All I know is that fractals are not even remotely as rewarding as other activities. It is only logical that an activity with the highest difficulty potential should have the highest potential for rewards. So I’m suggesting adding a guaranteed silvers to all yellow chests which equal to fractal level times consecutive factor minus 1. So for example doing level 30 fractals would give you 0 from 1st, 30 from 2nd, 60 from third and 90 silver from Maw chest on top of your usual rewards.
6. Please reveal actual activation times of weapon skills
Right now the skill activation times displayed in tooltips are misleading. Displayed 1/2 second activation can mean anything between 0.4 and 0.9 seconds making comparing weapons and skills extremely frustrating, comparing requires massive deal of testing. For example warrior GS auto-attack has displayed activation time of 1/2 for all 3 swings, I’m expecting to hit a stationary target 60 times with auto attack in a 30 seconds period, in reality I only hit it 36 times.

why is this even discussed? guardians, enuff said
roll a guardian or mesmer stop QQ
shaman is one of my favourite ones
Just switch whenever you need to, CoE p1 last boss Mace 5 is very nice, on Lupicus Shield 5 is very nice, and nothing stops you from using 100b and WW when they are off cooldown with GS while still auto attacking with axe, and when you know the boss is ranged just switch to rifle+longbow, its wrong to not carry more weapons than you can equip.
OBVIOUSLY Detcelfer has never come out of the mists and tried a dungeon, he would rather play a terribly underpowered class in there rather than just create an elem level 1 and be viable… I have 4 level 80 characters and the warrior is my main, I can probably play my warrior better than you in PVE, and the DPS I do compared to other classes is over the roof, I tried everything and I can’t even reach 70% of my warriors DPS, I don’t think that’s fair.
If you think that warrior’s DPS shouldn’t be nerfed because they lack PVP utility then I’m sorry but you’re wrong.
I love my warrior, but I want to play a balanced game. Do you even know how lategame is for other classes in terms of PvE, they level to 80 just to find that people won’t take them and go out of their way to get some more warriors and guardians in the party, cause that will ensure faster runs and less wipes.
And what about CoF? I have an army of friends who rolled a warrior cause the best money making is brainless warrior CoF farming, and that’s not PvP, you actually have to invest time and money to get to 80. Why people feel forced to ditch their level 80 rangers and necros and level warriors? It’s happening all over the place, is this intended gameplay?
Black Lion Chests
Unidentified Dyes
MF weapons and armor
MF minis
MF sigils and runes
Material Bags
Ecto Salvaging
What did I miss?
GW2 is pretty much a casino.
Elite Skill:
Disable your pets for 2 minutes to gain 15% more damage, your elite skill is replaced with the current pet’s ability for the duration, 2 minute cooldown.
Elite Skill:
Disable your pets for 2 minutes to gain 15% more damage, your elite skill is replaced with the current pet’s ability for the duration, 2 minute cooldown.
There is 12% from full adrenaline 10% on bleeding targets 3% if endurance not full 10% GS 5% dual wielding and up to 18% !!! from 9 boons. You group with a guardian and you can realistically have 50% bonus damage just from traits for several seconds.
How is this fair? Can other classes get even 20% more damage on anything?
Oh and have you seen those coefficients on weapon skills?
And they buff banners… So is Anet OK with this? Are they not nerfing warriors because they think this will greatly impact their PvP performance?
Wow that thread is awesome! thanks a lot, that’s exactly what I was looking for, really hoping that the buffs will keep on coming, cause the gap between the 2 professions is still pretty wide.
I did some testing. killed about 5 Risen giants in full exo zerk set on my ranger, and about same on my warrior (hes my main)
I ran 30 30 10 0 0 on my ranger using full exo zerk gear, ruby orbs and force sigil.
Procedure: stack vulnerability with axe 5, switch to GS, get moa fury, get cats might, quickening zephyr while continuesly spamming GS 1 2 3, tried not to dodge, tried to flank and the best time I got was 48 seconds
on my war I run 20 25 0 10 15 and I had the same gear, I just did signet of rage, FGJ, disc banner and GS away using 1 2 3 also, the best I got was 32 sec
That’s 33% less DPS on ranger… Do you think that’s fair? I personally think it’s not fair and rangers should do comparable melee DPS to warriors if not more, considering they’re squishier and have less group utility.
In this thread I will talk about bleeds cause it’s the most pressing matter. But the same “system” could also be applied to poison and burn.
The suggestion aims to remove the “weight” on the server for having too much ticks replacing it with a single tick of bleed per second per monster.
The suggestion takes into account bleeds of different “potency” coming from different sources and it eliminates the hard cap on bleeds.
With this system the average DPS of anybody using bleeds remains the same as before. with a slight boost during the first few seconds of the fight but at a cost of slight loss at the end.
The idea is simple.
1. We replace all condition duration stats and traits for bonus condition damage, since the flat % bonus condition damage does not exist, and since duration is normalized we can’t use the bonus duration anymore.
2. All bleeding abilities add flat bleed “potency” to the bleed debuff and refresh the duration back to 10 seconds.
3. Each tick damages the monster for 20% of the remaining bleed “potency”.
So the formula for tick would be:
Tick = 0,2 * (New Bleed Potency + ( 4 * Previous Tick))
Example:
You shoot an arrow for 500 bleed damage over 10 seconds, 50 damage per tick and you do 500 total damage. With the new system you shoot an arrow with 500 potency ticking for 100 80 64 51… and after 10 ticks the bleed ends totaling: 446 damage with 56 damage being lost.
Another example:
You continue shooting 2 such arrows per second resulting in 20 stacks of bleeds and 1000 bleed damage per second ticking for 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 900 1000 1000 1000 etc…
With this system you would get:
Ticks: 200 360 488 590 673 738 790 832 866 892 914 931… flatting out at exactly 1000 per tick after about 20 seconds resulting in same total damage and same DPS.
Well you get the idea and you might think it’s a more complicated system but remember, there is only 1 tick per second, 1 debuff showing, and you can throw as many bleeds from as many people as you can without losing any dps or reaching a cap.
TLDR:
Think of the system as pumping a punctured tire. The harder you pump the faster the air leaks(bleeds) through a hole. Eventually you are going to reach a point where you pump as much air as it leaks out per seconds. And if you stop pumping, the tire will go flat in exactly 10 seconds no matter how much air it had.
@ HannaDeFreitas.4236
I actually did switch to banner traits and had a chance to try it on a level 10 fractals (was helping buddies). We downed the shaman on our 2nd try with a group that had 0 AR, squishy builds, and probably see the boss for the 2nd time total. I told them specifically to not get too far from the banner and I think that was part of the success. Can’t wait to try that build in 30+ growl.
@CookMETEnder.7582
Even with the lifesteal from omnoms the Axe 5 cannot compare to the sheer “saving your kitten #8221; potential of not taking ANY damage for 3 seconds if you have a shield equipped, or whirling away with GS3 + GS5 if you have GS equipped. Not always you have 5 mobs
Axe+Shield is the only thing that can compete with GS cause GS3 is epic and S5 is epic, Axe5 is meh in my opinion even with crazy crit and lifesteal, you can’t Axe5 away from bad situation.
I tried and I don’t like the Axe+Axe set, the DPS is similiar when it comes to killing grub giants in Cursed Shore and the GS3 completely overshadows any benefit the Axe+Axe has over GS.
And I do run with 30% damage reduction on my build aswell.
I did consider 20 0 20 30 0 and having an axe shield + rifle for shaman boss, 3 second invincibility might just be enough to survive through the add phase and axe should be enough to actually kill them off. And turtle defense should also be really good for the add phase since they spam immobilize like crazy.
Too many bugs in the game, too many exploitable ones, the ones that block progress in dungeons and personal story, the bugs that cost you money on TP, the bugs that have been around ever since launch.
What’s also funny is that the latest patch notes only mention minor bug fixes in FotM, well too bad all the major ones are still working there.
A-net needs to work on a tool to stomp bugs more effectively. And increase proportion of fixed bugs to new content. Cause right now it seems that the more content we get the more bug fixing you need to do.
So I have finally reached fractals 30 and completed it a couple of times, however I have never managed to defeat the Fire Shaman and was forced to cancel fractals 3 times.
It feels like Fire Shaman is the only real challenge in fractals. That’s why I decided to build my warrior focusing strongly on that encounter. I think if you can do that, you can do anything.
I was running a shouter warrior build with knight/zerker gear:
http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/warrior/?8|1.1g.h1|4.0.h8|1n.a4.1n.a4.1n.a4.1n.a4.1n.a4.1n.a4|2s.e13.2s.e13.3s.e16.1g.67.1g.67.2s.e13|k59.k5a.0.u68c.0|54.7|e
But it feels like it’s not enough anymore, especially for Fire Shaman. I’m considering dropping the DPS role to go for a tanky or healy role, getting soldier or cleric gear. I can even afford divinity runes. Also considering to go shield or go all out on ranged build.
Can some experienced warrior give suggestions on how to build for higher fractals, specifically for shaman?
I don’t care if I underperform on other bosses, since other bosses go down anyway with any team.
I understand that my build effectiveness depends on the other 4 guys in the team. So could you also answer what to look for in the team composition and how to adapt my build for the team. I have no problem switching a few gear pieces and respeccing before each run, I just don’t know how.
destroyer, cof or the 5 silver flame skin
Just do it how they did it in WoW, Make a weekly with 35 tiers, as soon as you complete 5 tiers you get a chest with your laurel, weekly resets once a week. Easy solution. Also rewards are badly designed, cause since you don’t have any other sources for ascended amulets nobody is going to get anything else, and if they do get something else they do it by accident cause they didn’t see the 2nd tab with all the sweet amulets.
