I’ll hop in here as someone who has been playing this game and WvW on and off every few months. AR is easily my favorite server that I’ve been on. Great community, roamers that are fun to be around, and skilled players who can tackle big groups. This server is what kept me coming back from other games several times.

Also, Julie is the best grill of all time.

This has only happened to me twice, both after the stability change.

CoE P3 (possibly any path);
The dungeon is completed and you receive only the daily chest, not the chest with experience+20 tokens.
Reproduction: I believe it happens when Agent Spire gets crystal glitched. Crystal glitch happens when someone is locked in the purple crystal by Alpha and broken out too quickly, causing them to be frozen in place (like the box of fun Petrified effect)
Fix: Wping around the dungeon then going back to the front door seemed to fix it. She might also unstick herself eventually.
Prevention: Wait a moment before breaking the crystal, but the reality is this happens from cleave because no one cares about npcs. Watch where she is hanging out and lower your dps I suppose.

I understand you warriors love playing an op class becouse it’ s the only thing you can actually do in this game. But your OP class is ruining other people gw2 exeperience.

My ranger was created on the 3 day headstart and has 500 hours. My warrior just hit 80 a week ago and has maybe 40 hours. Warrior is fine, hitting evis is way harder than pewing from 1500 range and doing 3k per auto. This sounds like a l2dodge issue.

Yeah… All f skills should be equal.
Thief steal should do as much damage as warrior burst, and necros should aoe daze, distortion themselves and apply confusion when they death shroud.

The ranger class mechanic is your pet (sadly.) Having your pet skills do damage equal to warrior burst would be rediculous. Rangers still get an advantage from their pets, such as fear when downed or the free blast finishers from drakes. And warrior axe burst skill is basically designed to be THE burstiest skill warrior has.

If you run in the tail, you are going to get picked off. They don’t care about you because having a tail is a bad thing, and not being on tag is an inconvenience. Stay close to tag or be good enough to kill the thieves that try and pick you off. If you run full zerk, you will have no defense and go down far faster than if you had defense. That is called a trade off. Zerker thieves are not “op,” as someone who plays thief and mesmer I can assure you that mesmer is a lot more survivable in full zerk. That thief did exactly what he intended to do, he took out a squishy light armor with 0 defensive capabilities who was too far from the zerg to cause him to get steamrolled.

So player who in the tail get punish? It like saying, tail of zerg is not important. I do not agree; every part of zerg is important, include tail. Example; like animal tail; so if somebody cut tail; it is animal fault for have tail? So is trade of for animal for have tail? Some class like necromancer is slow class, so is ok for thief to kill because it is in the tail? I say; all player are important including in the tail; i play guardian class and i protect the tail players because they are part of party. Also there is new player in wvw who is not experience in run fast but is learning; should they be not important to party for be in the tail? should new player trade of be instant kill because not learn yet and experience yet?

In my server; some thief stay behind with in the tail player to protect them; even other player and commander wait for in the tail player; they wait for me too; which is nice.

If by ‘tail’ you think I mean ‘backline,’ that isn’t what I intended. ‘Tail’ refers to the players who are 10 feet behind the rest of the zerg in groups of 2-3. ‘Backline’ is the squishes who stay out of the main damage in fights and drop their ranged spells. Think about what you said about players guarding the lagging players, and commanders stopping for them to catch up. They have to inconvenience themselves because players cant keep up. If the blob gets hit by the enemy zerg, and 30% of their zerg is too far behind to be useful, they have an enormous disadvantage. The tail is important because the commander *needs them to hurry the kitten up and get on tag *, not because they are being useful back there. If they get picked off, they have no one to blame but themselves.

Btw, I was talking about zerker trade offs, not being outside of the zerg as a ‘trade off.’

Anyone who’s been watching has noticed armor and cloth/leather have been tanking very hard. As in, 4 gold buy offers to 30 silver buy offers hard. Will it bring back up to normal or stay as low as it is now? I’m only watching spidy but I feel like it should have at least slowed faster than it is at the moment.

I like a lot of the sPvP changes they brought up. But this is something I find concerning, so its what I would like to ask everyone else. What would making a thread about how happy I am sPvP will have legitimate rewards solve?

Thoughts? This doesn’t sound good to me. If I unlock it on my mesmer will it unlock for my thief? What about new players joining sPvP and lacking skills other players have because they are a higher level? This sounds like its completely missing the point of having sPvP in the first place.

Judging by your post, I’m going to say you are being highly biased, and are very inexperienced in LoL.

However, I can’t blame you for this.. if you enjoy GW2 spvp over other esports, go ahead. However, this doesn’t change that in reality, LoL (and other competitive esports) has a much more balanced and strategy-based game design. GW2 spvp isn’t low in popularity because its a “hidden gem” per se, but because of major class imbalances and the fact that there are too many uncontrolled variables. With balance changes only every two months, sPvP and W3 have bleak futures. AI, spamming crowd control and conditions and AoE basically sum up sPvP. Even watching the competitive tier is full of particle effects and pets with nothing really visible.

I spent 45 minutes and didn’t even get past the first champ, because I was the only one fighting with maybe 1-2 other people that got downed quickly.

Granted, I’m probably not the best player. But are we expected to solo the first champion, who has a pull, massive ranged damage that seems to be unreflectable, spawns tons of ads and has a damaging aoe around him? I think at most I got him to 25% then he spammed his ranged attack twice and I died because the animation is wonky with the actual projectile. Map chat was full of people talking and there were 2 commander tags, but they were all at the end of the zone, not the first champ.

My mes is stuck in Kessex hills because even in the loading screen, I get a crash and error report. Never happened before this patch, but I can’t access my main at all.

Only a WvW player knows whos fighting who, why and how the fight is going just by glancing at some orange swords on the map.

Only an ex-WvW player quits the game but still browses the WvW forums and patch notes every day.

Just keep spamming your aoes and collect your loot, then. If pressing F is too much for you and is too much “WvW and PvP”, they die anyway from damage.

I don’t like perplexity runes, but there is a significant difference between a new type of rune and living story PvE towers spawning living story PvE NPCs in a PvP zone.

I’ve yet to see one of those weapons that impresses me.
They took the generic sylvari green/blue stones and made it with more glowy blue particles.

You all do realize the heavy and medium armor are the same model with a bit of different textures, right?
The helmet is different, but just look at it. Its clearly the same model.

Mesmer portals.

Kitten it Oc… I want downed mastery now. Could you imagine the glorious 2 FPS battles for 4 hours with warriors bannering Keep Lord and no one on either side dying? Finally zerging would be properly rewarding!

These achievements are absolutely horrible. They don’t reward most dedicated WvWvW players whatsoever, its a joke.

The achievements want you to do, well, everything. You better be an EB zerger, a roamer, a ram/treb master, a wxp grinder and a jumping puzzle extraordinaire or you didn’t particiate enough in W3!

I’m a mesmer with 0 points in ram mastery. When am I ever going to be on a ram? Why would I stand under AC fire doing half the damage and taking twice the damage a ram master would, or why would I be in the omega golem instead of putting time warp on it and taking out cannons?

And now I have to go to EB instead of my usual scouting and taking out supply camps in borderlands. Instead of being the person porting people into keeps, I’m gonna have to be another 1-spamming bot on the keep lord so I can get my achievements. I’m gonna have to babysit merc camps and grind WXP instead of actually, well, playing W3.

I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK ABOUT THIS

Just and only today, every single time I log into the game I crash within the first two minutes. I tried high gfx, low gfx, fullscreen, windowed, anything I could think of overloading my computer (because thats the only time I’ve crashed, severe lag like giant zergs or high gfx in certain areas) but I’m still crashing every 2 minutes. This didn’t happen yesterday, never happened before, haven’t downloaded anything new.

It started when I logged in and warped to Plains of Ashford, immediately crashed. Logged back in, joined LFG, immediately crashed. Crashed 3 more times trying then finally got a group and got into AC, then I crashed and just gave up.

Just got a naga razer (not hex). Play almost entirely mesmer, staff and scepter. What are good keybinds I should use?

The main issue currently with rewarding support classes is the way that participation is determined by the game. It makes it much harder to provide sufficient incentive to people doing things like healing, defending, etc. We have some ideas to try and improve this situation, but it is complicated. The best example I can give is the events to escort the supply dolyaks, which literally just say you helped if you are standing there when it ends, which is not an accurate representation of much of anything.

Until the systems are all capable of properly determining support, it’s difficult to properly reward support and defense. We are working on solutions that I hope will make it somewhat better, however.

Not an attack or anything of the sort, but why are you afraid to give Yak rewards for just being nearby when you get nearly every single wvw reward just by being inside a circle?

From what I have heard, Anet devs who regularly play WvW, do so exclusively on Blackgate or one of the other two T1 servers. (Repeated threads from T1 servers mentioning Anet devs playing there) I don’t think devs even know what it is like to play on anything less than a T1 server.

Bloodlust is fun when you outnumber the other 90% of worlds. Hey look at our five man, we can wipe your T12 puny 20 man groups with impunity.

Yes it will advertise the code/bug/whatever, but EVERYONE would be warned if they use it, they will be banned.

Guildie said he got banned for the same 2 weeks even though he said he posted it once.

Well, it’s not that I don’t feel for you on this, but you’ve also graciously accepted what happened, which is commendable. It’s distressing that Arenanet appears to be going so light on the people who are abusing it though.

I’d honestly want a harder ban for the people manipulating it in sPvP and WvW, but y’know, whatever keeps my account not permabanned..

Figuring out who is doing it deliberately, for starters, would be as simple as looking at chat history. It would be clear as day who is doing it deliberately, and to be honest, they should be liberal with the application of permaban in those cases, and then let the users deal with customer service on a case by case basis to determine if anyone had a legitimate reason for doing so. (Note: again, that’s for people using it in local and map. There are people who legitimately tested it)

Its true, but think of all the chats, on all the servers, on all the maps. Along with people who posted it in /map without knowing what it was (my guildmate was one of them), honestly it would be very difficult to deliver fair bans and could not be very clear. Does the guy who posted it 3 times without saying anything else know that hes crashing it? Think of the way people can spy on servers and destroy siege and troll guilds, but can’t be punished because they don’t know if they know

WvW and sPvP are the only places it obviously wouldn’t be an excuse, and this would just be taking a simple look at the scores and map changes as they posted it.

The ban was likely for the actual map crashes you did prior to the whispers.

I have no idea, never been banned or warned and have been playing for a year.

Then again, half of NSP and sPVP right now are spamming this code.. It’d be a lot to ban a whole server.
