They advertised the game in one way then made an180 turn, that’s called “bait and switch”, there’s absolutely no reason at all for me to not exercise my right to a refund just because I got to play for a couple of months. MMOs are something I usually play for years not months.

It’s what I’ve come to expect, there’s bugs since day one still not fixed, why should the new content be any different?

They didn’t really think it through, if you missed the train that’s it I’m afraid. You need to get a guild/friends that’s willing to do the lower levels with you.

Well I got my refund, maybe I’ll look back in a year and see how much grind I missed, and be grateful I stayed away; or that there was no grind to miss and maybe come back and play.

I think I’ll do just this.. I’d rather have my €55 back then this game that’s not what I originally bought. That and the fact that I think Arena net has shown what kind of company they are and what we can expect from them in the future.

The feeling of betrayal really is one of the worst parts of this. We were told time and time again that this is a thing that would never happen, that the developers understood that we hated this and that they hated this too. And then, less than three months in, here it is.

The culling is destroying my will to play, it’s bad everywhere.. it’s mindboggling that there’s no slider or any other way to turn that crap off.

Once in a blue moon you’ll get a yellow, for farming purposes you are better off killing anything but the dragons, must be some other reason..

I think it’s because of sucky pathing, a mob can’t find a path to get at you and anti-exploit code kicks in and makes them invulnerable.

It would have been less annoying if I hadn’t kept snagging on everything and nothing, might be due to doing it with a Norn, haven’t tried with another race.

You can do that, it will say it’s soulbound but works anyway, my Mesmer has a Whispers chest and Vigil legs.

I only check vsync when I get tired of the sound the Gpu fan makes, at higher framerates it gets really loud.

This is probably my single biggest issue with this game, it’s horrible in wvw and it’s really annoying during events or just standing around in LA. Rift had something similiar and that’s one of the reasons I don’t play that anymore.

Well, after unlinking the authenticator I have managed to stay ingame for 35+ minutes, seems like that was my problem

Same here, getting constant disconnects, I’ll try unlink the authenticator and see if that helps.

I traded my gems for gold instead, at the highest you got 89s /100 gems, I’m happy with that

Yeah, I’ve run into this too, (some) people simply won’t believe you when you tell them that once they have the exotics they want thats it, linking stuff doesn’t seem to do the trick either

I love most of the armor, but I have a problem with some of the Medium armor. I want to make a Norn Ranger, but I feel like she’d be better suited to wearing furs and more barbaric, stereotypically Northern leather than the long and roguish trench-coats we seem to have now.

I know some models like that exist, but they come a bit late, especially the T2 Cultural (which is one of my favorite armor types in the game).

Thats how I feel about my Norn Mesmer, somehow it feels wrong with a Norn in a fluffy dress.

About later armor models, I bought the lvl 80 Vigil faction leggings and transmuted them onto lvl 65 leggings, so it’s possible to use models you have access to even if they are too high level. Don’t know if it’s intended but it works.

Yup, you aren’t really invisible.. then there’s the fact that if you log into the launcher, you will show up as online in game in the area you last logged out, people can whisper you etc.. that too makes for some awesome confusion.

If you start up the launcher and login but never hit play, you show up as online ingame and can be whispered and whatnot.. and the person whispering you are left sitting there wondering whats up..

Is this a bug? or is it supposed to work this way? Either way it’s annoying.

This is very annoying imho..

In my quest for some light pants without some flap or skirt for my female Mesmer, I went and bought the Profane skin for gems.. Then I realized it can’t be dyed in any sensible fashion, even Abyss comes out as light grey, it’s like turning gamma right up.. that’s 500 gems I could have spent better ;p

Oh, well.. back to searching, guess I’ll have to go for a dress

Edit: In the end I went with the Vigil “leggings”, at least they seem fitting for a Norn, which I feel most of the other stuff isn’t.

I don’t go underwater unless I have to (storyline etc), the camera and FoV issues makes it.. well, unenjoyable to say the least. The constant resetting, obscured and invulnerable issues doesn’t help either, but then again, I’m getting that wherever I go on land too these days.

I’ve never ever gotten vanilla beans in Sparkfly fen, I’ve found some in Metrica. 3s is ridiculous though.

Could be that they disabled it since the box itself are bugged, it doesn’t give the correct set of armor. If not, no idea..

It’s a nice touch, when I go exploring it usually ends with something like this though.

I’d rather do a jumping puzzle, get a nice rewarding chest for it and be done with it. Who would re-do a jumping puzzle just for the crap in the chest? =p

And it’s not that the game is unrewarding, it’s that the effort/reward ratio is out of whack. If you want rewards, you grind mobs or events, you should be rewarded more for challenging stuff, or puzzles.

An SSD helps somewhat with the loading times, they are still longer then they used to be though. It does nothing at all for the atrocious distance other players are drawn at though, some nasty culling or something going on

My first char was a male Ranger and as I don’t have a fetish for long leather coats I find it hard to come up with something I like. Now I’m soon done with a female Mesmer and what can I say.. I’d kill for a pair of regular pants without extra fluff…

You might just be unlucky or Magic Find could be kittenched.

It works for me, it works wonders to be honest with you. Just yesterday I consumed a Lemon Bar which gives you + 16% magic find I believe. Found 2 dyes, tons more gems, a couple of great rare weapons and so on and so forth. For me, It is something that works perfectly, I recieve more quality weapons and armor with more magic find and find more dyes and gems which is just awesome.

Well perhaps it works much better for some people than others xD
Or I wonder if it’s a mental thing. Like, “OOH I got a dye/rare! It must be from the magic find bar I ate 20 minutes ago!” Although when you don’t have MF you don’t take as much notice, so relatively speaking having MF makes you think you’re getting better loot?

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I think your theory is right on If magic find indeed has an effect it’s so small that it’s not worth kittening yourself over. I do however eat Omnomberry bars for the extra % coin.
