Well, it only took 5 years of daily logins, but finally reached the max 15k ap limit for dailies/monthly. This has been the only thing I have really done for the past year or so, out side of the couple hours it takes to do the new living world stuff.

Now my rant is, why does it take anet so long to push out content? We have had 1 new dungeon since game launch and that was the aetherblade one that no one does. Then there is fractals, which I used to log in and do daily also, but it got boring. I have made 6 legendaries (making Astralaria did keep my interest because of the things you needed to do)

I am NOT in anyway bashing GW2 or anet, so please don’t start the “don’t let the door hit you on the way out” crap. It’s just an honest question, GW2 boasted the fastest selling MMO ever, yet they quickly laid off staff, took 3 years for an expansion, and then give us a TINY bit of new content once every 3 months or so. ESO for example has put out an expansion and has 2 upcoming DLC alone just this year, and their DLC is more content than a full season of living world. (not counting their dungeon DLCs)

I would gladly throw my money at anet if they gave us some content, I have never played a MMO this long and really love it due to the gameplay, but PLEASE anet, give us some content!

The added quickness is great, I already ran a quickness axe build, but this makes it even better.

I love these complaints, I have been using axe/axe for at least 2 years and have always enjoyed it, sure I may not do the dps of other classes, but it was just fun. I never enjoyed GS since I discovered dual axe because it just felt slow, dual axe is fast and very action orientated.

With the trait line that gives you quickness when mob hits 50% hp and quickness on berzerk it made it a lot of fun, now on top of that we get axe skill 4 that grants even more quickness so it’s essentially up at all times if you have any kind of boon duration.

Been asking for this for years, as someone who plays on a 4k screen the interface size is way too small, and please don’t respond if you are just gonna say, oh most people don’t use 4k so it’s not important.

This is a simple fix, please just give us another option that goes higher than Larger for the scaling.

I can tell you clearly didn’t play season 1, season 1 involved living story taking more than an hour to finish each chapter. Season 3 has been nothing but lazy story writing, it’s not bad, but it lacks more than 5 minutes of thought to actually put it together. They are spending far more time trying to figure out what achievements they can pack into a little map than they are telling an actual story. I miss the cutscene stories, the instanced areas, especially with the last 2 there has been like 2 instanced stories per, the rest is just some talking with Taimi over a radio in open world. Plus 3 months in between each story, really think you are confusing this game with something else.

This map can diaf along with the junky they brought in off the street to design it, if I want to play a spiderman game I will go get on a freaking console!

This map can for F itself! I play an mmo for a challenging experience in combat, a story and having fun with other people, not a freaking spider man console game!

I am not as much annoyed with the look as I am with the path to getting it, raids just aren’t everyone’s thing. It takes time that a lot of us with a job or family just don’t have to sit down and play for several hours. Why can’t you give us the method you do with legendry’s? Astralia was a huge pain to make and took time, but it was something I could work on in short periods of time, I would really like to see this.

Awesome, I decided to jump on GW2 while ESO was doing maintenance since it was taking forever, now I can’t even log in to any charectors. Get to charector select screen, select charector, then logged out

HOT completely ruined the game for me, I played the game from beta and have literally played every day since launch. But now I just play for dailies and on occasion do fractals with friends. The game should be called cc wars now, condition wars w/e. I used to love my war, getting in the mix, hitting stuff with a axe or gs. But with HOT that was taken away, now things like mobs in bloodstone fen that hit you from 3 miles away, or mesmer mobs in dorlic lake that drop 30 circles when they do their gs attack. My problem is when a light armor class like a necro has more survivability than a heavy armor class, you also introduce a healer class. Why not introduce a HA tank class with true taunts or better survival skills? I loved this game when it came out, but now I have unfortunately drifted away.

I was digging through ap I hadn’t done and noticed “transfer chaser” I vaguely remember starting this way back when. I already have the part done where you talk to Seis Burntheart. Now I need to find the sensor locations, problem is I am pretty sure I threw away the sensor, is there any way to get it again? I have gone to the different locations mentioned on Dulfy, but sadly Seis Burntheart is no longer at any of those spots to maybe get a new sensor. Anyone know if there is a way to get a new one?

Backtrack TEN steps, make sure you leave no-one behind in being able to access your game before you move forward with an update.

It’s called ‘finishing’
and ‘quality control’
and ‘forget Thanksgiving and Christmas, keep things running smoothly and on schedule, you can save the big announcements/new maps for next year.
You don’t have to rush a half-baked job for every holiday on the calendar in order to please the management’.

Otherwise your ‘updates’ end up as downgrades.

oh boo hoo! Have you ever played any other MMO? I have played this game every day since launch with the exception of 1 week, their servers rarely EVER go down for any reason, including maintenance, which is unheard of in online games, problems like this are VERY rare. Please go be an entitled brat elsewhere.

I jumped on for the first time in a few days, played fine for about 1.5 hours, then started getting booted every 5 minutes. I just gave up cause I would come back in be ported to LA instead of the new map where I actually was.

There is no 60 fps constant, don’t listen to these people, i gone tell you simple, this game has engine from GW1, so its like 10-11 years old, doesn’t matter what pc you got, you will see 20-35-40-60-80FPS, they will drop FPS just to turn your character, you can lose 20 fps, its sad, but you and NVIDIA, INTEL, AMD, cant save you buddy!

Partially true, that being said, intel stomps the crap out of amd in this game. Also GHz doesn’t mean jack, would be nice if the poster actually said what his cpu was. I play this game in 4k with a 5820k and a 1070, yea, areas like LA drop to the 40s, and some battles, like maw drop to the 20s, but usually I can stay close to 60.

It won’t happen because if I remember right anet said MS and Sony want too big of a cut. That being said though it is possible to use a controller, I have been using one since launch, first a xbox 360 controller and now a xbox one controller. Program I use it joystix pro, it uses the left trigger and right trigger to shift between button assignments so you end up with something like 40+ buttons. Also with the action cam it works very well, it’s not the best for pvp because rotating the camera and trying to attack at the same time is a pain, but for general pve content it works great.

Been asking for this for probably 1.5 years, 4k is becoming pretty affordable and more people are moving to it, can we PLEASE get a larger scale size. The game looks amazing in 4k, but trying to read anything is absolutely horrible currently. Please give us a larger size for text.

Let me guess, every person saying L2p or get better are probably all necros. Conditions are absolutely insane now. I can throw every condition removal I have out there, I still drop in a few seconds UNLESS you have a druid. I doubt many of you remember when the game launched it was supposed to be play as you want and no more tank/healer/dps. Seems ever since HoT anet has gone against every promise they made about this.

Have played this game nearly every day since beta, but lack of content is really disappointing, anet made a amazing base content game. Then is was like they ran out of ideas or stopped caring (no hearts in orr, most disappointing final boss fight ever) Living world season 1 was ok, but it needed improvement, season 2 was better and seemed pretty consistent with content update. Then there was HoT, which was a mess IMO, now this new content, seriously you can explore the whole map in 5 minutes. I got all the AP in a day or so, and not really trying at all. As much as I hate it, I really wish they would put out more content like ESO or DCUO with like mini expansions.

You people saying 6 or none need to actually play the game, look at the picture, where do you see 6?

I’m gonna necro this, since apparently it’s still broken, just killed him for step 3 of the predator, no credit.

Same issue, I have just given up till this is patched, game is unplayable right now.

About 90% of the ppl on AB crashed multiple times, until we finally all crashed and couldn’t get back into the map. I then gave up to DS, same problem, finally just gave up and decided to post here. This patch is literally game breaking.

Looking for a guild I can do guild missions with that don’t stand around and take 3 hours to complete a couple missions, or actually start at the time stated, not 20-30 minutes late.

Also am also looking for a guild that does raids (HoT). Must be on either Mon, Tues, or Fri, which are my days off work. I have a char of every class, but primarily run a banner war that is heavy on crit.

Trying to get my Legendary gear, but due to my work schedule it’s been pretty hard. Now that the holidays are over I have a more permanent schedule and I’m looking for a guild that does the Raid on Mon, Tues, or Fri, preferred in the afternoon.

I main mostly on war, but have 1 of every class, been playing since game launched, have 5k hours logged and about 20k ap, I run a hybrid build, high crit, axes with swiftness most most of the time, moderate amount of hp and toughness and power, and banners of course. This has been an issue since game launched, because the engine is complete garbage. I have used 3 different PCs since game launched, all had same issue. Anet refuses to acknowledge it, kinda like 4k UI scaling. Basically you have to just deal with it.

This is just like the threads on Dx11/12/Mantle/Vulkan/VR Headset, just because it’s the latest tech doesn’t mean it automatically becomes a priority to adopt and/or support.

And for the billionth time, this isn’t bleeding edge, a year ago nvidia and amd brought out the technology to scale 4k on a 1080p monitor, 4k was out before that. You have no proof besides your steam numbers, which doesn’t include things like ubisoft games using uplay, or ea’s origin, and even if its only 1% of the people on steam there are 125 million people on steam, that means over 1 million people are using 4k, plus however many on other services that aren’t reported.

For those who have 4K it’s not a minor issue, I know that. But the vibe I get from some is “I have an expensive setup so help me first” and that’s not how project scheduling works. It’s almost always how many will benefit for the manhour cost relative to other issues on the stack of things to do as well as priority set by senior management.

No, a gtx 960 will not be able to handle 4k, unless you turn down all your settings. My 980ti struggles at times, plus the user interface is garbage with the current size. Just stick with 1080p for now until you upgrade your video card, or until anet decides to get off their kitten and change the interface size.

It’s a matter of where resources are best spent. Working on a UI update for 4K players or something that affects everybody.

I’ve always considered arbitrary resolution increases in PC gaming simply as a reason to up sell uber high end video cards and/or multi GPU setups. Review sites use them as benchmarks, simply because 1080P doesn’t show a whole lot of difference anymore so it all becomes a vicious circle to sell $2K+ rigs.

you need to get your eyes checked, gw2, and every other game out there I have played look a TON BETTER on 4k, another major reason for this is you don’t need anti aliasing on, so it offsets the need for more horsepower.

Do you like to run you own builds and are tired of being critizied for not running the latest and best meta or zerker build? Wulfpak [Wolf] is a pve focused guild that is designed to help out new and veteran players.

You don’t have to rep 24/7, we will have set days for helping people complete achievements or missions they are having a hard time with, guild missions, new HoT content including raids, and if you are on SoS we might even run some WvW on occasion.

Right now the guild is only a couple people, so I will be looking for officers to help run the guild. I have designed a simple website, but might just make a facebook page to make everything simple. Also have a raidcall voice server to use.

We are pretty confident these patching crashes have to do with 3rd party software (such as malware, antivirus, and proxies) hooking into the Winsock API.

I highly doubt that, mine only crashes when running 4k resolution in high populated areas, same as it always has with Teq, I drop it to 1080p and no problems at all. But heck, it’s 4k, no one seems to care about anyone running 4k at anet. (larger interface please)

Exactly, I literally built my newest pc around playing at 4k, every other game I play it scales appropriately, but this game….. seriously, how hard is it to bump a font size.

This is ridiculous, I have posted here multiple times, after being told in a support ticket to post here, nothing is done. 4k NEEDS a larger interface, the game looks absolutely amazing, UNTIL you try to read chat, player names, skill description, ANYTHING! I am one of the leaders of Rimfire [RIM], an NA PvE/WvW guild.
Long story short we focus on PvE (Dungeons,Fractals,World Bosses, Map Complete etc) and sometimes venture into WvW for some shenanigans. Unfortunately we aren’t large (19 members currently) but are looking to expand in preparation for HoT so we can take full advantage of all it has to offer. We’re pretty laid back, don’t really care for the current meta, however you like your character built is how it is. We also have our own TS3 server where we get together and chat a lot of bull haha!

I’m looking for a PVE guild for raids in the upcoming expansion, (no, I don’t mean wvw raids).

wvw doesn’t interest me one bit (giant tug of war with no winner imo) I enjoy some roaming with a couple people on occasion.

Basically though I am looking for a larger social guild that focuses on PVE content, runs dungeons/fractals/raids/living story/achievments together and is active around the clock.

I’m looking for a guild to do raids with in HoT, only problem is I do have a life/job and probably wouldn’t count as a reliable member for a core group. Will the guild also be running raids on other days?

I have been semi guildless for the past 2 years in game and would like to find a active, large, and social guild to join. I am fairly dedicated to the game, I have logged about 4600 hours and have played almost every day since beta and have almost 18k AP and a 80 in every class. I also work for a major gaming console and am a big gamer

I play mostly in the late evenings PST, which is why I’m on SoS, it seems to have more people on then. I play mostly PVE, but I do enjoy pvp and wvw on occasion, and usually do my dailies through wvw. I need a guild that does GM on either Mon, Tues, or Fri, and doesn’t waste time doing them.

My main reason for looking for a guild is I want to experience the new things with HoT, raids, guild halls and so on. Also I am not a fan of any kind of meta or zerker build, I like trying your own build. If zerker is your thing, cool, more power to you, I just can’t stand people who think that is the only build out there, and I have left a few guilds because of people like that.

Anyway, that’s me, would love to find a new place to call home

Can we PLEASE get a larger interface for us using 4k displays? The game is beautiful, but what good is that if I can’t read anything even when set to larger interface. I have asked about this several times and it has fallen on deaf ears. I don’t want to sound entitled (I work in a call center) but I dropped $150 on the pre order collectors edition, I paid $100 dollars for HoT pre order, I cash shop occasionally. I just wish some of the money I’m paying you guys could be used towards something like this

I had the same issue, there is a trick you can do in Windows to fix the mouse issues rendering horribly on 4k displays by simply having magnifier open, even at 100% (or mouse trails)

But apparently if you run any of those with the game, the mouse completely dissapears. You’ll need to turn magnifier off and mouse trails if you’re using that.

Can this please be fixed? I have been loving how amazing this game looks in 4k, but support has been lackluster at the least, anet won’t bump the size of the interface, and now this?

I Have an MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2GB and get 100+ fps during normal map group/dungeon/sPvP, but get in a WvW zurg or world boss, and it drops to around 57 fps. I have a i5 4690K(@3.90), 8GB HyperX Savage. So a GTX 980Ti would be over kill for GW2. As others have said, CPU is the bottle neck. Untill the game has a 64 bit client, most up-to-date PC’s will struggle.

Yea, I’m gonna call BS, I have a 3930k i7, 16gb corsair 2133mhz ram and a gtx 970 and I don’t pull anything near that with max settings, same goes with my i7 asus gaming laptop with a gtx765m. You either don’t have AA on, or are running at 720p, or just have ALL your settings turned off, including vsync.

It really depends where I am, hanging out in LA I get in the 40s, out running around I’m hitting 50-60, this is also with vsync on, so I’m capped at 60. This is also at max settings, but I am only using a gtx970, with 2 x gtx980s you should have no problem at all. I am also running a 3930k at 4.5GHz though, and this game is very cpu heavy. But you should really have no problem.
