After I get the typical “let this program run on your computer” message, the game doesn’t start installing and stops working.

Cant download either plz fix

Balance will never be perfect. I just think that we should should stop talking about whats OP or what not on the forums and try to come up with suggestions to get this games pvp to be successful. Yes a 150k tourney helps but to sustain that you need viewers which would be a good place to start discussions.

Don’t take the best class at the moment because it always changes. Play what you think fills the role you want to play

I agree with the post above. I don’t agree that thieves or mesmers have no punishment at all though. If you get hit with something or are out of position you get punished fast.

S/d thief isnt the hardest but playing burst with d/p is one of the harder builds

A DPs thief or mesmer is one of the most fun to watch in my opinion. Its fast paced and takes skill to survive which is what this game should try to so more of. I don’t see how you left out all the AI builds like spirit ranger or turret engi. Also what you said about the evades can apply to many classes that have lots of vigor and dodging is not RNG. Its frustrating when your attacks are dodged but its really a good job by the other player

d/d thief is not that far from being a good build if only we had a 3 skill that had use. The shadow shot is just so much better on d/p. I understand “condi builds” sometimes use d/d but then its just a 3 spam anyways. I think they should completely redo it so it goes with a damage build. Not just have a condi skill right in the middle of a damage spec.

The one that annoys me the most is the black powder nerf. We already had no sustain so now we are basically forced to sit in shortbow while other rangers, engi or necros can burst an entire point.

I know that you aren’t supposed to try to brute force people but with the sustain of celestial amulets many teams are just trying to 2v2 on points and win those fights

It is basically impossible to 1v1 or 2v2 as a d/p because of all this AI and AOE going on that will just kill you instantly. Also now s/d is pretty bad, they should have just redone the build. The black powder nerf was ridiculous. Not to mention d/d is STILL complete kitten and condi thief sucks compared to an engi or necro because of lack of AOE.

Thieves have it arguably worse. I think the warrior nerf was warrented because its not a nerf if you’re careful and hit your skill

I have no problem with stealth… Its more of seeing what is coming at you than a skill having no cast time

Like… As hard as engis, warriors or other builds are to fight at least you can see what is going on. A grenade is coming at you? Dodge it. That eviscerate that will 1 shot you… You can at least block,blind or dodge

Necro marks are extremely hard to dodge unless your lucky. Sure mesmers can knock thieves out of refuge but not all the time. And try dodging an else burst without guessing…

I think that things like necros wells or elses instant cast skills like arcanes should be changed (not nerfed) to where you have a chance to dodge or get out of the way. Thieves shadow refuge also doesn’t have many counters because there is so much stealth all you can do is wait. Obviously there are many other skills like moa etc.

My friend is looking to play this game but he only speaks french. If he goes to a server like Jade sea would he mostly be talking with french people or is it mostly english?

It could use more sustain but it also needs to be easier to counter. Nobody can dodge those wells coming out of the ground

I feel like this would be a great name for a new profession. I know other classes can already use a staff but this class can control a staff of different sizes.

Yes there are 3 tournaments with $50,000 prize pools. The first one is in december i believe that’s why its called the tournament series.

This is great. We need to thank KongZhong for trying once more to make Gw2 what it should be. $50,000 cash pool is great so many old players will come back plus new playerss. PvP is gonna be more alive than ever. Plus the new feature pack which should have new gamemodes this is gonna be so nice.

Hey I was wondering what is gonna be at gamescom and what Anet is live streaming. Is it just the PvP allstar tourny or is there gonna be a both or something.

If this games keeps the players who hate wow the playerbase will be so small better hope for expansion or games dead end of story.

I think they will announce an expansion at gamescom but if they don’t I think its over. With the new WoW expansion coming out it will take a huge chunk if the playerbase if there is not Gw2 expansion. Most people I know in GW2 will want to play GW2 expansion over the WoW expansion but if there’s not Gw2 expansion people will go back to wow this isn’t arguable. The living story will not cut it for all the content it should be secondary content. Eso was a big let down but you could see Anet was trying to change a lot with there game (megaservers, wardrobe bunch of other stuff). Well we know WoW isn’t gonna screw up that bad. The most popular MMO ever made taking in over a billion dollars a year. So my guess is we need an expansion.

Why the heck would we get cantha when we dont even have the main map completed. I mean we have half of the first map. It would look kinda dumb if an expansion had cantha and half of the first map wasnt completed. Why don’t you think about that.

Why the hell would they nerf d/p blinding powder? Its not like thieves were to tanky to begin with. Nobody even ran this build in competitive play and they come out with this… not to mention d/d, p/d and any sort of condition is still unviable… now we HAVE to play s/d even more than we did before… Better start spamming that 3 to be viable again.

My Power supply is 300w which seems to me what most gpu’s require

So I bought a Dell inspiron these are my specs.
Intel® Core™ i5-4440 CPU@ 3.10GHz 3.10 Ghz
Intel integrated graphics 4000
8.00GB of DDR3 ram.

I can run the game in low at a good 60-80 fps but when I got to high it goes down to like 14. I assume this is because of my bad graphics but is it? Because a lot of people tell me graphics card doesn’t really matter for this game. Is there something I need to toggle to get better performance. My processor is quad core and seems to be pretty fast any reason why its being so bad on high graphics?

It’s been a while since they’ve announced anything but living story. Hope you guys announce something soon because if not your doing a great blizzard impression.

So I always want a game mode that is quick and fun. So if you wanna hop in a quick game you die and your done. No getting creamed and not being able to leave. Sort of like a random arenas you keep playing if you win. I understand there might be some trolling in the server but after some time we can weed out all the trolls through the ban list. I know there are currently some servers like this on EU and I think a lot of people would like this on NA. If you have a server that you would like to use we could try to help each other out. Maybe we could get like 3v3 death match server, 1v1 if enough people like it. What do you guys think. Were gonna be starting this server though a guild named doomblade. Its open to everyone. I thought 10 minute matches would be a good idea.

People don’t criticize ArenaNet because they don’t give “enough content” People criticize them because they compare Guild Wars 2 to the original Guild Wars . So lets not compare the whole life of GW2 to an expansion of the original GW. The original Guild Wars had a business model of a paid expansion every 6 month. Gw2 has a business model of Updates of a lesser amount of content every 2 weeks. So add up 12 LS updates (6 months) and compare it to an expansion of the original Guild Wars.

Now there are always those people who say “well the LS is free” but you have to take into consideration that the original Guild Wars didn’t have many micro transactions (Gem Store). So the player base should be supporting the content by Micro Transactions instead of the price of an expansion.

If you want to compare 6 months Gw2 content to an expansion if Guild Wars the expansion is a lot more. But the thing we have to look at is the cost of production. If you know how video game production works Gw2 cost significantly more due to no world limitations (jumping of walls.) being ale to see other players. But Idk how much it cost and there income and I can’t say.

In conclusion all the criticism comes from the standards of an expansion. My opinion is the content we get in 6 month is not as good as an expansion but who know there have been rumors of a 2015 expansion and if this is true Anet you nailed it. If I get content every 2 weeks and a paid expansion every two years that would be a great business model.
