Also I hate my user ID.

There’s other threads made a while ago asking for this. I want one too.
As it is now, without any ugly flashy additions.
(edited by DietPepsi.4371)
I was actually considering starting a thread like this myself. Looks like I don’t need to now.
Here’s my two Charr; Chimie and Reeva. With Chimie’s outfit I wanted to create as smart and as tactical of an outfit as I could with minimal spikes, flares or ugly obnoxious bits, while still looking like a Charr cultural outfit. Reeva’s is based on Chimie’s outfit, but with the scallywag chestpiece to make her look Like a pit fighter.
What is the rifle your charr is holding in the 1st pic? Looks awesome.
It’s the Karka Slaying Rifle. Unfortunately it’s currently only available for the Karka Slaying mission in Lion’s Arch (Lion’s Arch Exterminator) for some reason. An awful shame because it’s such a waste that an artist created that awesome skin for it to only be available for that mission. I and some other posters on the forum have requested that it be made available for unlock or purchase, but to no avail.

The new look for my Charr Warrior Chimie.
Two outfits: Charr Marksman’s light battle outfit and swimming outfit.
I got a makeover kit with PoF, so I decided to remake Chimie.
Gone from a brown lion to Ginger one.

I think this suggestion has been made before, but I’m all for it regardless.
I’ve love to do hand to hand combat, especially as a charr.
I imagine warrior CQC skills would be something along the lines of;
1. Light Jab (damage), Heavy jab (damage)
2. Swing (stagger)
3. Knee stomp (cripple)
4. Uppercut (knockdown)
5. Block (self explanatory)
Can’t say for the other classes, but I’m sure someone else could.
[Look at the attached screenshot]
-The next shot pans over to a field littered with bodies.
I just found this funny, so I thought I’d take a pic and show it here.
Updated look for my Charr Warrior; Chimie:
Living Story season 2.
If you have the money you can purchase the episodes you’ve missed for 200 gems each.
Make sure to watch the Living Story season 1 recap as well.
I’m looking for a detailed review of my build.
I’m running a sort of “glass cannon” Rifleman (Power, Precision, Ferocity) with a focus on not getting hit; I use rifle skill 4, hidden pistol, and endurance regen perks to avoid doing so. For backup I use a sword and shield, again avoiding getting hit using skills 2, 4 and 5.
This is as close as I could get it using that website:
https://tinyurl.com/ktwn322
I mostly play in PvE but I’d like to know if this would work in PvP.
You mean the preview window? So you can view armour or weapons in detail I presume.
Right click on an armour piece or weapon you want to view and select preview.
I’d love to see a pathfinder parachute, as I feel the glider behaves fairly similarly to such a parachute. I noticed that the SAB cloud glider uses a different animation for the player than most gliders, so hopefully this suggestion doesn’t seem too wild.
An accompanying parachute back item would be nice as well, that or make the parachute bag look like the guild backpack? I think the guild backpack could pass as a parachute bag.
Fingers crossed.
Cheers.

Is the Karka Exterminator Rifle available yet? If not I’d pay for it with gems.
Evidently not. Though if there is it’s probably something along the lines of “Magic is just a thing in the Guild Wars universe so accept it without futher explanation wuooooh.”

I’d say first asura because the armour doesn’t look excessive and over the top, or the sylvari because of the cultural armour.
I’d say first asura because the armour doesn’t look over the top.
The armour design in The Witcher is an example of a far more mature approach to design, which in turn is an example of a very mature and skilled design team. To be able to make something look good without throwing frilly bits and spikes all over it is something that I feel the Anet design team should aspire to do. If Anet stopped making all heavy armour trenchcoats they wouldn’t have to throw frilly bits and spikes on to make it standout.
I’m still waiting for an option to have Charr characters not hold rifles like sticks, and either hold them like:
http://www.americanspecialops.com/images/photos/special-reaction-team/swat-usmc.jpg
or if they can’t be bothered, at least like this:
http://www.firstlegionltd.com/images/products/detail/RUSSTAL008_1.jpg
(Notice how he’s holding the gun at the front of the receiver, where the centre of gravity is. Not the rear like the Charr currently do)
Punishing someone for leaving a match in any game is stupid, regardless of the reason. People have lives to get on with and their life should come first, not the game, but punishing someone for unintentional disconnection is far worse.

Decided to give it a bash.
imio
An Iron Legion charr named Esso told me they used to have tigers in their tanks, but gave it up after a legion reorganization. (Yeah, I know. Only ancient crocks like me will get that reference. The rest of you will have to google it.)
Tiger tanks, as in the WWII German heavy tank right?
You are very, very wrong.
Dang
To Google I guess…
(edited by DietPepsi.4371)
I liked the kit packs too. Seems silly having a flamethrower without a fuel tank, or a med kit without the medibag. They should add them back in as all class wardrobe skins.

Tengu, Skritt or Kodan I’d say, not that I’m particularly bothered at the moment. I agree that existing game lore could do with a bit more fleshing out for immersion’s sake.
I’m gonna go ahead and say in short; no to this idea, and in long: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
For the same reason as stated before; interspecies breeding cannot happen, and personally I could not take it seriously for one minute. (excluding sylvari that just look like other races. That I could handle.)
Yes I stole Yahtzee’s joke.
The Charr who asks you to kill all the Karka hatchlings gives you a lever action repeating rifle when you accept the task.
How do I get this as a skin? I Waaaaaaaant it.
Oops. There’s already a thread asking about this. Merge plz?

Female Asura and Charr having the same “male” (correct term: unisex) variation of an armour is in no way offensive, nor ugly. If anything it’s less offensive because both male and female get just as good looking armour.
I don’t have an Asura character, but I’m glad the female Charr are allowed to wear the same armour as the males because it means when I see something I like while I’m playing my male Charr, I have full confidence it will look just as good when I put it on my female Charr. Not to mention female Charr fufill the same roles as male Charr in Charr society and therefore would need the same equipment to do said tasks.
Have, Do, and Will want.
I never did get to use the shooting range.
I said it a long time ago, but a Black Citadel mini game based around rescuing hostages as an Adamant Guard would be cool.
(edited by DietPepsi.4371)
1. March of The Legions
2. Overture
3. Logan’s Journey
4. The Sea of Sorrows
5. Explorer’s and Artifacts
6. Fear Not This Night
7. Dawn in Shaemoor
8. Ruins of an Empire
The first mini I got was a miniature Colocal I named Gadget. Been my fav ever since. I think he’s a fitting companion for Chimie.
Since there’s no more Charr section this will have to go here.
Selfie!
I’m soo glad to see someone’s keeping the Charr #selfies alive.
I love these, and I love that I’m not the only one who stops to take landscape screenshots in games.
Here’s some of mine.
Those screenshots are sick.
Forget Tequatl, I can’t believe how this hideous thing can exist.
Oh Mygod. XD
“Rawr” =3 – Male Charr player character.
I’m soo jumping on this wagon.
Most of the images are raw unedited landscape photography, and three are figure photography that have been edited in Photoshop.

I did not expect charr upskirt this afternoon.

What you’re talking about is called “passive role play”, as opposed to “lore play”. The form you do not want to partake in is called “Active roleplay.”
Just a FYI for future reference.
I’d like if we could pick hand bias, but I’m (as in IRL) a little weird; I hold things like melee weapons, stationary equipment (i.e pens), bows in my left hand, but Rifles, knives and forks I hold right handed. =P
Could you zoom in a bit?
- What is your favorite UNLOCKED title you don in this game (optional: why)?
- If you could choose to wear ANY title what would it be?
- Pick a title you genuinely respect when you see a player with it and give a reason why this title reflects a positive feeling.
- Pick a title you dislike seeing on a player and provide a reason why this title impacts you negatively.
- Make up ONE title you would like to see implemented into the game and provide a brief description/objective on how to obtain it or why you would like to see it as a new title to obtain.
1. Veteran (reason: used to describe people who have seen military service; therefore relevant to Charr.)
2. Champion Legionnaire (Reason: relevant to Charr.)
3. None
4. None
5. Adamant Guard. A story(and character) specific title immediately usable by any Charr player that selected Iron Legion as their legion.
I really want more titles in GW2. One for every slayer achievement, one for each weapon mastery achievement etc…
I dislike the concept of titles being exclusive to a few high achieving players. I much prefer for there to be a large selection of titles for every type of achievement, whether big or small, so that every player can have a title. This stops players from being left out, while still allowing high achieving players to show their achievements by having unique titles.

I like the idea of areas designed specifically for chilling out. + saunas maybe?
Activities wise I have a few suggestions.
-Board games. (With full animations. would be funny to see a human and a Charr playing chess or something) I have a very detailed description of this in my head.
-Skeet shooting (Free aim)
-Crafting discipline mini games? Could be cool; you do stuff like metal work ,working on a lathe, cooking but you make the items for NPCs who then pay you maybe? Haven’t fully thought that one through.
I’m struggling to think of others at the moment…
Side note: Jumping puzzles are not good chill out activities because they’re aggravating. In this game anyways.
I have said far to many times about my dislike to how Charr, in particular, hold rifles when moving.
This how I wish Charr held rifles while walking and in running combat:
http://www.sierratoysoldier.com/ourstore/pc/catalog/FL_WWII/NOR007_3(L).jpg
This is how I wish Charr held rifles while sprinting/ running out of combat:
http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0182/7101/products/25014lr_grande.jpg?v=1357256966
(notice he’s holding the middle of the rifle, not the rifle grip.)
This is not how U gun; (Attachment)
Side note: having the character aim the gun where you point the mouse (while right clicking) while standing still would be nice.

There is such a toggle, Excludee. Bind weapon sheathe/unsheathe. With weapons drawn, you’ll run upright like the NPCs. You’ll also run slower, but then so do they (I’m pretty sure they all have weapons out when they run, too).
They do not. NPCs in the Black Citadel can be frequently seen running upright with both hands empty, but clinched. As stated above; running speed is also not reduced until the player engages in combat. The player can do this upright run when they enter combat and stow their weapon, but as soon as any attackers are killed or give up the player will return to full running speed on all fours.
Maybe they’ll fix the Charr rifle drawn animation too. Here’s hoping. I’d like to stop holding my rifle like a hammer.

Might be a good place to share this since many people have never heard of it. I played 2 years before I learned about this.
I use that. I have it play Ghost Recon Future Soldier music when it starts up, because it has a very creepy atmosphere to it that matches my characters.
Like dis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3i7W353KM8
I might turn the custom soundtrack off to hear this default music though. I’m curious.
I’d be my main Chimie; a Charr Adamant Guard (Military police) of the Iron Legion. Protecting the Black Citadel.
Rifles, anthropomorphic felines (the Charr), Guild Wars 2’s specific fiction setting, the Charr’s steampunk culture, the Charr’s military culture, the beautiful environments, socialisation and role play (both passive and active), no subscription fee…
There’s obviously more to it than just those^ points, but I cannot be bothered to type anymore of them out.
Tell that to Engineers.
Eitherway. The rifle does feel really lackluster. I wouldn’t mind a skillset that allows us to interact with it as a Shotgun.
That’s why I didn’t choose Engineer. I chose Warrior rifle because I was hoping for a medium – long range, high power, one on one weapon. If they added an option that allowed for both a shotgun, and rifle skill set I’d be okay with that.
I like my rifle like a rifle. I’d be willing to accept a shotgun as a new weapon type though.
sorry noob question but I don’t know where I can by a pistol for my thief. I’m level 4 and I only have a dagger in my left hand and I the quests are not giving me pistols
