To narrow culprits Anet can track alt accounts via ip/mac address. There are still ways around this but it will suffice to track down most. Then cut down all the pips on every account XD it will definitely discourage the behaviour unless they don’t care for pips :o then they need some other punishment like not being able to pull another tactic for xx_weeks if they are flagged. I think that seems fair enough, it doesn’t really affect normal players with alt accounts and only punishes those are are flagged from being reported. Additionally players may appeal to get released from flag if they are a newbie, but chances are they probably won’t learn about tactivators until they understand/need it.
Best idea i have seen so far. Give a message who is pulling the tactivator. At first alot of people didnt know what it was but nowadays it’s trolls and spies simply disrupting the game intentionally.
I agree with others here that server paring is not a solution. It only creates several organisation problems as you are not linked to someone permanently. To me best thing is to simply merge servers. This means only one time of creating a new combined community instead of having to do that every few weeks/months.
@devs, could you perhaps look at WvW activity a day before reset happens? I am pretty sure you will see day before reset is always the least active day as matchups are generally decided already with a few exceptions. Friday afternoon already is a karma train because upgrading/defending simply makes no sense anymore. With moving this to saturday evening basically you are shifting those issues to Friday night and Saturday day time. Those timeslots are probably some of the highest activity ones and i am genuinely worried it will mean a severe loss of activity in those timeslots. I can imagine for people only having weekends to play they suddenly lose 1,5 day of reset excitement. I understand there is no way to have a reset time which fits all but i do think moving it to a Saturday is not only bad for the players but will in the end also effect ANET themself.
In my opinion this is typically why you NEED to have multiple developpers actually activily playing WvW so they can feel what is really living inside the WvW community. I know you have your own idea on where you want WvW to go but if you neglect/ignore the playerbase for too long this will result in the downfall of WvW which for 1000’s of players is the main endgame content.

I was just curious what the exact reasoning is behind changing the reset day. Friday there is always alot of activity especially because people have time and the reset starts.
Could you perhaps clarify and is there any chance the WvW community itself can have any say in it? I know ANET has their own vision of WvW but some more consultment or at least try and poll what people actually want would be highly appreciated by everyone playing WvW.
As topic says. BETA testing has no place in WvW. Use the new BL tests to test WvW for beta characters. BETA characters are unbalanced and have no place in WvW matchups.
P.S. confusion/torment need to be cleanses quicker. It’s crazy i can have 4/5 boons doing no damage and confusion+torment hwich are killing me and after using 5 clears i stil lhave my torment and confusion!

It is no better or worse then direct damage. What I feel is the problem, are simply specific skills, and every profession has them, that apply abnormally high stack counts of a specific condition.
I often read complaints about conditions, only to find out the one complaining, isn’t utilizing all of the traits or skills avaliable to them to counter what their complaining about.
Your complaint in itself is so broad, it cannot support a real discussion, in my opinion. If you are going to complain about damage your taking, you should list the build your running, thay you are basing your complaint on. Unless you do that, you have no reason to blame design in my opinion. If you list builds with good cleansing, then you can have an argument to make. You could at the very least, list skills you feel are problematic, and suggest how they compare to equivalent direct damage skills.
As I see it the problem isn’t conditions, it is damage out put as a whole. Direct damage is no higher or lower then condition damage out put right now.
Exactly. Damage in general has been boosted after trait changes and vit/thoughness for at least warrior/guard been reduced. (almost 15% reduction of HP on warrior). Caused by the removal of stats from trait lines and adding them into base stats. I think ANET used PvE data to determine how much base stats should be added looking at how people specced their classes. For heavies in WvW any group player has mostly defense trait lines used and now suddenly lose boon duration/thoughness/vit. Power however has been increased as base stats for everyone. More dps and alot less survivability. If this continues(Stab changes where poorly implemented too, should have moved stability up to be first stripped or one of the first stipped instead of what we have now) WvW will soon be an arcade game with quick fights lasting a few seconds being decided by who has the most AoE.
Everyone just think for a while about fights in past and fights now. I am pretty sure everyone will realize those long intense fights are becoming less frequent.
Had a similair problem until i found what works for me. BIG TIP AC is an projectile. Just let that sink in abit before you place them for defense.
I agree with changing the damage but not because of those reasons. Everyone has noticed damage/condi damage has increased a massibe buff(hence the double HP in PvE for world bosses) There was a post where anet adressed after the changing of trait system that there where some problems they would slowly fix(one of those the damage/condi damage).
Problem with the trait system has been the removal of stats for certain trait lines. Apperantly ANET just ran a pve search and noticed majority all specced in offensive lines. So they decided base scaling of power/condi damage needed to be buffed. For both heavies thoughness and vitality has decreased significantly i think because most heavies in groups run defensive trait lines for the utility from which they no longer get stats.
As a result you have more arcade style gameplay where staying back and not engaging is more rewarded then taking initiative and going in. Heavies easily die 50 to 60% faster than before. I cant be the only one who noticed this?

YEah its whats been happening alot. Today in EB keep same thing. Hacker kills all inside and BT shows up to cap.
@Smiley troll, Difference between taking something and defending it and having a hacker cap something and immediatly there are people to defend it. That means those people where on map already and must have been warned. First time coincidence sure but as it happened alot(less now people complain about it) it shows its probably a known person in BT community.

Me personaly only 1 time see someting is wrong when we atack a sm we was on outer doors -about 7+ players- com put balista , standard canons, oil , rams, door.
When doors was on 20% the keep was fliped and all tell WTH?? .

He doesnt move with groups since he is under the map And the fact is several times after the hacker flips a keep some BT are there in an instant to siege it up and defend it. This shows it must be known by at least a handful of people who he is as they must be communicating.
Problem isnt just the hacker. It;s being made worse by BT by taking full advantage of the situation. Also the fact this person was clearly doing it to gain PPT means he must be strongly connected to BT community. (wouldnt it be more fun for a hacker to troll alot more people in gold league?)

No hackers like that are not on every server or there would have been alot more talk about it. UW/FoW where stuck with hackers for 2 months or so and not even confirmation from ANET they are aware of the problem so how long should people wait? You should know very well problems in WvW and exploits are barely ever fixed or it takes months if not years for it to be changed. Thats why we decided to give this as much attention as we can so ANET might actually be motivated to do something about it.
And no we from RoS arent going to take a break from WvW just because 1 or 2 hackers.
Anyways despite the hacker(s) and his supporters we managed to take the lead in the MU again.
P.S. Giving a hacker alot of attention is using your brain. Negative publicity is something all companies want to prevent. Besides if you tell others to use their brain maybe use a little yourself so your sentences are readable.

Oh look, yet another PvP update.
Uuuurgh. I’m so sick and tired of seeing all these PvP updates (http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3g8sd4/new_pvp_content_pvp_leagues/) while WvW is ignored yet again.
I know you guys are working on it after HoT, but it would be nice if once in a blue moon we actually got some sort of update as to what’s going to be updated WvW-wise. Whether there are any new rewards (there should be since the last skins we got were the temporary mist ones from the tournaments that come once a year if we’re lucky), or a permanent reward track etc.
All I seem to see these days update-wise is PvP. PvP gets all the frikkin love. Do you guys not like WvW or something? I’m starting to actually get seriously p’ed off with all the focus on PvP while WvW has so many bugs/hackers/no new rewards. The list goes on.

They still have hope PvP becomes a populair esports or something thats why the obsessive attention for it. Imagine someone hacking in PvP it would be fixed in a day. A hacker terrorising T9 for months and now this week T8 as blacktide moved up nothing is being done about it. Hell we can’t even get confirmation from a dev they are looking into the issue or any sort okittennowledgement.
That can’t be correct as i’ve seen anet claim multiple times they keep their game cheat free. Perhaps one of the devs can take a look at the situation?
How will these changes effect the results of a hacker being active on blacktide for months now?

Cool story but maybe fix the hacking issue in T8 caused by Blacktide? Anet devs please stop ignoring the issue and at least confirm there is a major problem.
Real hacker active for months and ANET has done nothing about it. You worry about a troll ill worry about someone flipping keeps/towers fully upgraded in an instant. (With trolls sieging up/defending the stuff he flips.)

Not sure what ‘bug’ this is but it needs to be fixed asap. Its ruining WvW in T8 atm.

I think we will have to wait until BT gets into gold league or the hacker decides to mess with PvP. Anet can simply watch the tons of SS’s video’s and they know there is a problem. Perhaps its crazy but the hacker seems mainly active in mornings and early afternoon maybe someone from anet or multiple people can play WvW on that server for a while? Or on RoS/FR just so they can see for themselfs. It’s hard to get someone’s acc name when they are under the map in stealth.
I can remember a while back a topic where ANET admitted some things where still broken damage/condi wise but that topic is somehow gone.
I would like to know if they damage/condi changes are going to stay or not? BEcause there you did claim some changes would be made over time but so far i see new content i see a special event but no bug fixing of any kind.
Or is it perhaps that ANET wants a more arcade style fights in WvW that take very short time? Myself i enjoy the long and hard fights the most and its really fun when you have been struggling with an enemy group for 15 min and finally kill them. Now fights generally last alot shorter or you have mexican stand offs where people only try to range dps and none pushes(Pushing as a heavy makes you die as quick as a light/medium class)
I would like to see some sort of update on the things you admitted wherent in order. PErhaps first start with adjusting burn damage?
The removal of stats from the trait lines has made some significant changes i dont think that where held into account. Everyone their base power is so much higher then before while for heavies base vit/thoughness has gone down. (Which also was where most guards/warriors would spec into, the lines that have thoughness/vit and boon duration)
To me it seems like there was a fatal error made there without really calculating and testing what the effects would be in medium to large scale to blob scale WvW.
Try using wall of reflection in your blobs but yeah life is dangerous for the melee train right now.
BAsically getting into close combat is no longer viable at all. No wonder guard will become ranged support with HoT. Don’t get me wrong i understand that if 5 peeps run into 20 people they should die quickly. But melee trains melt so fast they can barely move close to the enemy. Who spams the most aoe wins instead of coordinating your good aoe skills with the CC lockdown of heavies. Would also explain the stability changes as there arent many ranged stuns besides static field so who needs a proper duration/stacks of stability?
Was running with 4 staff ele’s and 2 mesmers and we performed better against 10/15 man groups then with our own 15 man group with a heavier oriented setup. I can understand ANET wanted less focus on heavy classes in WvW but to me its better to change the classes not often used into groups to give them things to contribute better then to just nerf heavies(tanky classes) to a point its useless to run them.
This even further removes skill from group play as with the stability changes. It has become extremely hard to fight bigger groups as they simply have more aoe and it is near impossible to get close enough to CC them so they cant use their skills. In my opinion a good organisation should be very rewarding and that is slowly being stripped away.
Damage simply is broken in WvW atm or anet just wants combat to be more arcade style. It barely makes any sense to run tanky as you still die waaaay to fast. Pre patch on my knights with zerker trinkets warrior + 0/0/6/6/2 no class could get me down in one burst. Zerker thiefs/Rangers could burst me below 50% but that usually gave me a window to use my CC and lock them down. My thoughness is still on the same level and only my health dropped by around 2/3K. Not even going to start about group fights because that is even more broken.
Went from 1800 heal to 1k heal. Thats a 40% nerf overnight.. They changed one heal to a shout so an additional 1k heal. Only taking that and your heals from shouts will get close to level it was before. To me this is anet saying pls guys stop using signet heal and use the new shout heal which none ever used before.
as I said in my 1st post wvw always takes backseat, pve fixes done in minutes, when dolyaks weren’t visiting some towers it was 3 weeks ^^
In 2 matchups in the last 3 months we had dolyaks not spawning from the camp north of hills to hills itself. Both times i made a bug report. Both times it went unfixed the entire week.
Surprised this issue can continue as long as it does. If something major as this would effect PvE/PvP it would have been resolved already or a rollback till before patch without any bugs.
As a temp solution just remove all npc guards at towers and keeps until you have a solid fix.
Also how is it possible you make changes to skins/PvP and nothing WvW related and somehow WvW gets the bugs?
Get your A game going Anet. Cmon just for once show us WvW some proper love.
Gonna lose our keeps due to this. Impossible to defend against blobs with a handful of supply inside. Would be nice if we can get a hotfix for just once in WvW…
Experiencing the same bug on Ruins of Surmia. Keeps supply capacity doesnt make any sense. Also we have random enemy veterans spawning in Lake tower.
Twice now at lake tower with enemy breakout event the wall got down. After luring siegerazor out of the tower and closing it up he can somehow teleport through the wall. Would be nice to have that fixed.

Sidenote: Some bugs are so old and you cant convince me bugged upgrade bars are so hard to fix it takes months? (No dolly spawning green bl at Foghaven to hills either happens to often and no hotfix ever either, just hoping it’s fixed next MU)
Once again the camp north of hills one dolly spawns that heads to garrison. Dolly to hills does not spawn when we own hills in our home border and own the camp north of it. Enemy servers owning the camp do get both the dollies.
How come this is even possible? And will there this time at least be something done against it before the MU ends? Upgrading like this is ALOT harder…
I thought that there was an answer to this already, where the guild with the most numbers at the time of the cap has a 3 minute window where they are the only ones who can claim? No?
If they rush at start of reset to keep and claim it we can’t do anything about it. Also sometimes you need to claim a camp as you dont want to use keep supplies. Your keep claim is removed and someone else can claim without +5.
I agree its alot of people who simply do not realise this. However we have several people running around doing it intentionally.

Didnt even know there was such a thing. Would be nice if we could share our server/tier specific problems.
Recently we have a serious problem on RoS with guilds intentionally claiming objectives so guild with active buffs can’t claim it. They refuse to unclaim even after many attempts by alot of people.
My suggestion: Every day at 0.00 all objectives are declaimed. This to help protect against troll claiming. Perhaps others have some suggestions to solve this problem too.
P.S. One german guild has been doing it for 2 weeks already with our hills.
Godslore dolyak to hills does not spawn anymore.
Unable to claim hills after a cap even with only my own guild there.
Personally i’d just say remove disablers all together… I see the thinking behind them, but it has basically ruined the effectiveness and fun from small man groups. 5-10 man group goes to attack NW tower, rams or catas get siege disabled 3 times (2.25 mins/ 135 sec) , then enemy zerg shows up and kills you. Well lets encourage zerging more….
By making disablers they created that problem. They want to ‘fix’ that by removing white crosses when an objective is tagged. So unless you have scouts everywhere, prepare to lose everything without a WP and without even noticing how you lost it.
Instead of rewarding people more for defending they just made it so people can delay attackers long enough for your attacking force to come back and defend.
Tried to cap a T3 tower with 300 supply inside. As we where only 8 people we tried to ram it down quickly. We were disabled 8 times in a row giving them enough time to even run supplies for a treb to take our rams down.
Basically this only helps the stronger server as they can always gather up more people to wipe the attacking force. Small groups of 8 to 10 really dont stand much chance anymore. Upgraded towers/keeps take ages to cata/treb down (and even then can still easily be disabled)
Blobbing up and kitten ing gate down will just be the new best thing to do.
My suggestion is to max buying siege disabler to 1 per day or once it has been used on a ram, that ram cant be disabled anymore for 3 minutes or so.
Was a great reset night on FoW borderland. Had so many good fights was hard to take a 5min smokebreak. Hope rest of the week will be the same!!!

We weren’t hacking. Sunnyhill apparently is glitchy like that. I got in with rocket boots completely by accident. This is the first time it happened to me, and I was completely confused and befuzzled when I was inside; I’m sure you would have the same feeling. I didn’t know what to do so I just stood around for a bit and went out when people screamed at me on teamspeak “get out of there asap before you get reported”.
tl;dr: please don’t accuse me falsely of hacking

What i hear the most here is that warriors are so so tanky they can be very tanky but if you do your damage is pretty low. If you go for condi removal if you use your adrenaline you will lose your adrenal health trait which lowers your healing and the conditions against a good opponent will be spammed again before you reach full adrenaline again.
If you go for a shout build with condi removal yes your survivability will be good but again your damage output will stay low.
But but with GS you still have high mobility. Yes you do and WW is good mobility and a dodge indeed but your highest damage dealer is a kittene to do a full hit.
Warriors are the easieast to play but definitely not extremely OP. In 1 vs 1 same skill level mesmer/thief will kill you.
I think the problem is more other classes are harder to play then that warriors are too good in game.
We have oke commanders but havent seen any real good one. No offense to the commanders mentioned above they are good in a karma train but organised group fights are rather poorly done.
If i have to mention a commander it is Psychotic of course. But he doesnt tag up so much
No offense but you can’t compare an organized group using a ts or rc to someone trying to type to a large pug. If fow would make a server wide ts server that everyone would use it would help drastically and lock guild channels so you can still do your raids on it… Fow is a very hostile server who commander bashes a lot. Unify and maybe fow will get somewhere and also will make ppl not want to switch servers. Gl and hf with season 1.
Of course they will not be as good as an organised guild group but many times i just see poor decision making relating to fights or capping. There are many alot worse commanders who only watch gate/wall when capping and not look for any inc. or the commanders who only want to attack instead of defend(which is more fun then taking an empty keep/tower imo.)
I dont blame them for trying as if you do not try you will never improve but some commanders are even very hostile to any advice or suggestions from experienced players around.
Server wide teamspeak might be a bit to chaotic but every guild group should have a teamspeak sevrer or share one with a friended guild. The main problem is the different leaders from the guild groups around do not communicate very good with eachother. Set aside differences and work together and we can do alot better.
P.S. to all pugs following a commander dont give up on a commander if you get wiped once or twice it is part of playing.

What helped for me was to repair the GW2 files. Google GW2 repair and gives you a proper instruction how to do it.

Why is Arena Net forcing me to play their zergy WvW just to get 100% world explored?

Ok, it’s not that hard, I guess, but, only if your server is actually doing good and is winning.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve been unable to get last 4 Vistas for 100%, and sorry, it’s a total BS and it’s frustrating as hell. It’s literary un-doable at this point.
Do they expect me to buy gems to transfer to another server and then pay more to come back to my guild’s server?
What happened to all that “casual friendly” mentality? I don’t play WvW and sure as hell won’t be ever returning to it after I get 100%.

Sorry this game is to hard for you to finish map completion. Of course everything should be handed out to you because ow no you might have a challange to get something!!! While Anet is at it they might as well give legendaries for 5 gold so everyone can have one
Part of the problem is zerging are us the players ourself. Maybe stop zerging yourself with 80 guys and split up from such a group with your guild? Or only run with your own guild group and if it is to big split up? Very easy solutions but people are scared to change their way of playing because maybe the opposing world will not do it.
(Running in small group will make sure you can tag an enemy for the possible wxp loot)
Balance would mean 3 teams scoring exact same points and even outcomes in fights. We all you WvW can never be balanced. It’s like an utopia a goal that can never be achieved. Just enjoy the fights you have yourself and if you are against bigger servers just pick your fights wisely and you can still have alot of fun.
