Hello guys, and I hope dev’s,
Will be 5 years in some months and I am still dispointed about a lot of armors that could be very good looking but are “meh”.
The main one (for me) is Heavy cultural armor, female is very nice, male can be very nice but is not.
Helmet : very good
Shoulders : very good
Chest : very good
Gloves : very good
Now the fails (for me at least)
Legs : bad shape
Can be nice but isn’t because of the shape, when you are not wielding your weapons, they go to the side instead of sticking to your legs
Make the steel part @ both sides stick more to the character so the weapons will stick too
Boots : VERY BAD SHAPE
You have a normal size armor till the legs, then large knees, and you finish with tiny tiny feet, com’on !

-with boots I consider ugly with this armor but have the right width
-some white arrows to show the weapons/armor stick to the legs

What do you guys think ? I’m not alone I guess because I see a lot of human t3 just without the boots
The rework I ask isn’t that big or too technical.
(and before you ask yeah I’ve tried all the boots in the game, none of them fit the style)
Cultural armor are unique in the game, there is only 1set and I think it deserves some love and polish at least for all T3 (charr, norn, sylvari, asur…no)

My biggest grudge for longbow is the spam f1 in berserk mode for pve but I really don’t know how to change that.

I want to change this one, but I’m pretty sure a lot of people won’t agree with me, let me explain : I’ve added block to skill4 and a smaller cd to deal with the rework of this one, again this is me but ww-attack feels too soft for a warrior even tho it deals a lot of damage so I am a thief and again I steal an animation, this time from Engineer Hammer3, BOOM BOOM BOOM, same damage, no evade, 3hits, gap closer, and you crush your enemy

Again, maybe not all the changes, but just some ideas for some skills could give some other effective builds.
And remember maybe I buffed something here, but I maybe nerfed it on another side via traits/etc… in another post.

As always numbers need to be tuned correctly for Pve/Pvp, my changes are more about new effects/options on skills than just powerdamage.
Another thing and it goes for mace/sword too :
if we hold two 1hand weapons, make 1 of the chain auto-attack skill to hit with the other weapon

Well, FGJ give vigor, not resistance, I also changed Healing signet for less resistance, and my version of Berserker stance is no longer the boon resistance either.
But you right on something, I just forgot to write 50% less effective on ally for the trait.
On the reply thing I know, but sometimes my answer is in a futur post so I can’t link before it’s created.
Ex : people were talking about the insane amount of resistance I gave, but I’ve removed almost all resistance via stances/healing signet.
And for Hoax, yeah unbalanced but numbers are not my main point, I just want to get warrior real traitline for power/condi/support/defense and not everything everywhere with some T3 double jump combo.
I try to let the metabuild we have now, sometimes I nerf them to buff them somewhere else and I give diversity for example Phalanx usable with every weapons.

- to give useless skills a chance to be used
- upgrade core weapons
- nerf some strong berserker primal burst
- make the warrior feels more “crushing”
- nerf passive defense, focus on active defense
- PS damage around 20k for both Condi and Power so you choose the build for a specific encounter and not because it’s stronger
- DPS spec ! (around 30k) for Condi and Power (2 axes!)

So I wanted to make Arms a real condi line and thought about some support traits.
TIER 1:
T1 : Precise strikes

Mace skills cause vulnerability to foes that are dazed, knocked down, launched or stunned. Reduces recharge on mace skills.

Bleeding you apply with a sword from the side/behind of the enemy is more effective. Reduces recharge on sword skills.

I’ll do Discipline/Berserker before Arms, but yeah Arms become the real condition mastery don’t worry. For those, I alrdy kept them in my list.

For Defense I wanted to rip this second Endure pain. Adrenal health and cleanse ire trigger level2 with primal burst as said in my Berserker changes.
Pretty sure we won’t see real stances for Berserker/Balanced but hey I love it anyway so make sure to look at my Stances changes.

I continue this time with traits, thought about trying to put it as that_shaman did for building spec but I really don’t know how I can do it so I will try to make it clear
For strenght, I wanted to give dual axe some love and some PvP traits hammer related.
Mace traits are moved to ARMS
With a little buff from Axe damage, and this change to t3->t2 dual axe, + dual wielding in strenght, I just wanted to see my dual axe somewhere else than solo open world.

Well I understand your point but,
- for Berserker stance :
3sec resistance 4 times without the trait, 5 times with.
12sec of immunity or 15sec. (without boon duration)
You can boon strip but the buff will re-apply, even if you time it on the last application the warrior still get 10 to 12sec.
My stance give 8 sec max(or 10) + a 1 time buff you can strip easily,
But I can nerf the trigger to 5 condis, 3 is maybe a bit easy to get and nerf the duration of resistance.
This, + my nerf on primal F1 removing 2 condi instead of 3 and my nerf on healing signet make the warrior a lot more easier to down with condi. But hey maybe i’m totally wrong.
- same for Balanced stance, boon duration on stability make it very powerful, I never get cc’ed under x2 stability (and no I’m not playin in bronze), the only good thing about “stability buff” is for WvW balance, and this is why my change is for PvP only.
+ it looks more like a shout giving buff than a stance right now.
About endure pain, yeah I did what you said, maybe not clear enough, the change is for the trait and is no longer a stance, utility skill remains the same.
Defiant stance, I think i’ll remove the 1.000 base hp we get but the 4sec I don’t know.
I went lol’z on frenzy, I thought about adding only superspeed to the skill we currently have but the 50 sec cooldown is “Meh”. With 50% boon you get 18sec not 22.5 in PvP
And 22.5 in PvE is good and it isn’t too op in Roaming WvW because you won’t be vs 3 players all the time, and Warriors aren’t playin boon duration in roaming.
I’ll see if I can nerf some numbers anyway.

The Berserker and Balanced Stance changes makes it sound like you’ve been killed by one too many necros. Can’t let those immunity skills have counters or anything, right?
Opposite, almost 100% resistance uptime make fights vs condi too easy. + My berserker changes give us less condi clean so maybe I didnt get your point.

Btw, all my numbers need to be tuned.
First :
Banner of Tactic is now a heal skill.
All others stay in utility/Elite
Adjust cooldown so you can use 1 banner all the time with the trait
Utility banners :
-can still be used by everyone
-keep their +170bonus buff
-if you cast the banner on yourself it appears in your hands directly
-you can pick up the banner on the floor while moving
-if you have a 2H weapon it replaces this weapon with skill 1,2,3,4 and 5
-if you have 2 1H weapons, it replaces the left weapon with skill 4 and 5 (for example you can hit with an axe while holding a banner
-you can drop the banner with skill5 or swap weapon
1 Stab : Increase damage (like any other power weapon) and add mele staff animation
2 Strenght : whirling axe animation, deal tons of damage, cd 30sec
2 Discipline : hit your foe and give fury to allies for 6sec, cd 15sec
2 Defense : warrior hammer 5 animation, stun enemies (up to 3) for 2sec, cd 20sec

what having trouble killing warriors? sorry, but it irks me when people forget exactly how useless the warrior was without the AH change. The healing from AH is fine.
I can agree that Primal burst skills should not give 3 stacks of AH. That needs changed to 1 stack per primal burst. make the berserker have to build stacks just like a vanilla warrior. They already gets tons of stuff for entering berserk.
Yeah the healing from AH is fine, i just don’t want 3stack of it with 1 primal burst. This is something I like about core warrior right now, you miss your burst, no AH, you life drop pretty quick while you need to build adrenaline back. With Berserker if you miss 1 primal burst, you just wait 5sec to spam it again, and you don’t even need to be close to your target (looking at you GS primal).

I just want to say, I play warrior and I love it, so this is not a “blabla warrior too stronk” or “blabla too weak”
Improvements:
Core/Berserker
Give warrior access (do it for others classes aswell) to berserker skills with 100% cd penalty (ex: headbutt 20sec->40sec)
Mace
-auto-attack chain is too slow, it was meh-okay before HoT, now it is just mehhhh, with all the block/blind/dodge you can not use mace like sword or axe
-Core F1 need an animation like Eviscerate with a small jump
-Crushing blow 12sec -> 8sec
-Tremor 25sec -> 20sec
Sword
-Auto-attack need just a bit more dps (power damage), add bleed-remove cripple on 3rd attack and a smoother animation (the ranger’s one for example)
-Leap, cripple 3sec -> 6sec
-Core F1 is very hard to hit when target isnt alrdy movement restricted with the “lock” casting

Sometime ago i decided to craft this Shield and was a bit confused by something i think is a bug but i didn’t find any topic related.

My grudge is about the shield not protecting my shoulders, I know my armor is bigger on the man but this is almost the same without it. My character holds it too low.

Hello everyone,
I tried to do a rework on the warrior with some topics i want to change, thoses changes are toward warrior but can be applied to others classes aswell, i just don’t know them enough:
-I want to be able to use skills and weapons from elite spec BUT with malus, like 100% cd and reduced bonus effect.
-I want most of my traits to be usefull toward some builds and to remove useless ones, looking at you Powerful Synergy.
-I dont like to apply conditions on a direct damage build, for exemple i put bleed application on sword Auto-chain with traits, not baseline.
-I want to be able to generate might with “tactics” but with others weapons.
-I tried to buff weapons for direct damage so warrior arent forced to use greatsword for both damage and might generation.
- and wanted to make riffle viable without elite spec.
For most of the topic i wrote the skill as it is now and wrote the change i’d like to see (if needed) below. And all need to be tuned correctly aswell, i know i created an op warrior but i just want to show some ideas

BERSERKER SKILLS
You can now use rage skill and torch without elite spe BUT you dont master them (can apply for all classes)
Outrage : 15sec cd, no adrenaline bonus
Sundering leap : 40sec cd, no adrenaline bonus
Wild blow : 40sec, not 100%crit, dont remove blind and weakness
Shattering blow : 25sec cd, x2bleed
Headbutt : 40sec cd, 15adrenaline, stun for 1sec(maybe 2), autostun 1sec
TORCH BERSERK
skill 4 : change animation, its not rp to move earth with a kittening torch
skill 5 : final burning 3sec to 4sec
TORCH CORE
skill 4 : same, change animation, 25sec cd, no burning
skill 5 : 35sec cd, no cleanse conditions

First, english isn’t my native language.
Everything list here need to be tuned, the point is to make warrior logical in specializations with traits for power in strength line, conditions traits in arms etc…
This is not perfect, this is not how it needs to be for sure, but i guess i have some good ideas so i wanted to share and give a wink to devs because warrior is the weapons master and if you want to be effective you only need 1 (not 1 for real but you have my point).
WEAPONS
AXE
F1 : I, II, III, keep
F1 berserk : i dont like the fact that it’s the same as core F1 with aoe
skill 1 : make animation smoother on human male (gw1 animation was cool) i look like a kitten using the last skill of the roation and i don’t like that !
skill 2 : keep, maybe increase damage
skill 3 : throw axe on target immobilize for 1sec + IF YOU ARE WIELDING 2 AXES add second skill activation, radius 180, get your axe back dealing x damage
skill 4 : increase damage, increase fury duration 3 to 4 (maybe 5) lower cd 12 to 9
skill 5 : add reflect
SWORD
F1 : I, II, III, 1,2,4 sec of immobilize (from 2,3,4), if 3level of adrenaline bleed 2sec to 3sec , remove the stuck pre-animation
F1 berserk : give projectiles more velocity so they dont miss the target
skill 1 : increase damage on power, move away “cripple 1sec” on 3rd auto-a and give it 1stack of bleed like others + make animation smoother
skill 2 : cripple for 4sec, make skill smoother without “after stuck”
skill 3 : add stack of poison if target under 50%, + IF YOU ARE WIELDING 2 SWORDS, the sword stay in target, add second skill activation, get your sword back dealing x stack of bleed
skill 4 : keep
skill 5 : keep, add immobilize for 1sec to the counter-strike
MACE
F1 : I, II, III, give it axe F1 animation, per adrenaline level 1sec daze, 1sec stun, 3sec stun
F1 berserk : remove daze, maybe add some bleed x1
skill 1 : increase attack speed (if needed decrease damage)
skill 2 : keep
skill 3 : add effect, IF YOU ARE WIELDING 2 MACES, the mace stay in the head of target, add 2nd activation skill “remove your mace from target and daze him for 1sec” as a second skill
skill 4 : increase damage, lower cd 12 to 8, lower time of vulnerability 10 to 8
skill 5 : change skill, aoe target 900 range, throw your mace on the ground crippling ennemies for 5sec + x5 bleed for 10sec with a low radius, mace stay on the ground for x sec, if you reach your mace, ennemies in radius take x damage + knockback for 1sec
SHIELD
skill 4 : keep
skill 5 : keep
WARHORN
skill 4 : keep
skill 5 : cd 20sec to 15sec
HAMMER
F1 : I, II, III increase radius for each adrenaline level
F1 berserk : errrr no idea for this one but i don’t like it

skill 4 : increase damage or special me : launch your hammer in a line, stun everyone in the range, 900 range, you swap to your other set of weapons and need to get your hammer back before using it (add a timer is needed)
skill 5 : increase number target 1 to 3, increase duration 2sec to 3sec if you keep same animation, if you change with faster animation, keep 2sec
GREATSWORD
F1 : I, II, III keep
F1 berserk : i dont like it as “only do damage” but it’s fine i guess
