Though for PvE anything works – But there’s a lot less thieves around in the new maps for w/e reason, I’ve seen more than 10 in total now (after play for 2 weeks of HoT?), but I’m sure there’s more.

I’m a returning player after 3 years absence. Was wondering how the thief class is these days. Back in the day it was cool enough for a hit ad run playstyle but I preferred my warrior ( and still do, it’s my favorite class lol). So how’s the thief these days ? and what kind of spec are people using for general PvE ?

Also, how’s the daredevil spec ? is it possible to be effective at daredevil without staff ? I’m doing just fine on berserker without using torch on my Warrior.

I’ve had this problem earlier while NCSoft used to handle the support, and their response and solution was real quick. Apparently there’s an IP block on my account that doesn’t let me purchase gems. ticket number 1930956 ( incase Anet wants to know). That’s because I don’t live in USA or EU and am trying to purchase gems using my own credit card.

Anet said they’re looking into my purchase attempts, but all they need to do is lift the IP block, just like they did 3 years ago while NCSOFT was in charge of support. It’s been more than a day, and no response whatsoever aside from the automated " we’re looking into it" mail.

Anyone else having this issue with the Gem Store ?

If the Emperor wills it, then the CM shoulders can be combined with the normal blue karma armor from Orr to make an astartes kind of look.

Simple solution : ignore personal story. There’s a whole lot more that this game has to offer than having to tolerate that annoying fruit-face.

+1 to this. These dungeons were the best of gw1 and very well designed. I would live to see them redone with more tricks in gw2. Any sort of content like this that requires coordination is great and I really hope they implement these eventually.

Yup, in Fissure & underworld, no matter how good you were, you had to know your Ps & Qs along with your party, if you wanted to clear the place.

They were like what Arah should really have been.

This story is supposed to be about the Player. Not some whiny fruit-face with a personality about as interesting as watching paint dry.

I want Anet to pull off a Blizzard and make him a killable boss in a dungeon in the next patch. Serves him right for having to babysit his whiny kitten through most of the story quests.

Not happening. Devs said it, no crossbreeding. We can have all the fan-fiction, but it simply doesnt make sense and will never happen.

Norns and humans are 2 completely different species.

Yeah Warriors are less tanky, but still, they’re tanky ENOUGH when required, may be made better even.

They’re alot more versatile and definitely more fun than Guardians. They’re the real Weapon-Masters of Guild Wars 2.

Just make the clover rate = 100%. The rest is just fine.

Not just for the sake of nostalgia & Deja-vu etc., But I found those 2 dungeons alot of fun. Would be nice to have an updated version of these with more tricks & traps etc. in it.

Also a new updated version of the Fissure armor set avaliable via an NPC who you need so save in a hard fight in the dungeon would be cool too, just like the GW1 Fissure.

Doesn’t hurt to have a bit of nostalgic stuff from time to time…

Used Sword/shield all the time in GW1. Used it for a long kitten time in GW2. It gets kind of boring after a bit. Axe/Shield is a bit flashier & funner in WvW IMHO. specially if your alternate set has some CC.

You could kill off a large number of young karka sell the shells and make a large number of money and buy the T6 material. Just a thought.

The young karka take longer to kill and drop less loot then killing the risen. Southsun Coast is not an enjoyable place for a level 80. As a level 80 i would like to feel powerful, and get great rewards. I felt more powerful as a newbie at level 0ne!

Even the squishiest of classes feels like an OP tank at the starting areas haha.

My advice : If you wanna know how a class REALLY feels liek to play, level it 20 at least 20 first then see.

My warrior is Norn, so I dunno about the Charrzooka skill. But Rifle has no AOE compared to longbow.

They’re a better Ranged class than Ranger lol. Longbow is far more useful than Ranger’s and Rifle is a single-target obliterator.

What the game developers don’t seem to understand is that when they make items so hard to get people will just giveup on them and perhaps even quit the game. I played GW1 for 6 years. I doubt I’ll be doing so in this case. If I can’t reach the top ill settle for less….and less means I won’t be investing in the cashshop anymore. I bought the game so I might as well play it….casually….my days of cashshop expenses are over.

Are you proposing all items be easy to get?

Also I’m not sure what GW1 has to do with anything. Because there were lots of rare, hard-to-get cosmetic items in GW1. I worked my kitten off for 2 years to get my Vabbian Armor/Tormented Shield/Voltaic Spear.

And GW2 is the exact same. It’s hard to get cosmetic items.

Again, those 100 charged lodestones are 430 gold, the price of a precursor. (give or take)
And yet a.net feels they have to fix precursors.

Yeah man, I just finished creating my Mjolnir yesterday, and it was a pain in the kitten to make. Been playing it since launch and it took several months to put together the kitten lodestones.

This is insane. I could have put together a Legendary by now EASILY compared to the sheer DRUDGERY it took to farm & buy all the stones.

I don’t ever want to see another Lightning Elemental again…

And now legendaries aren’t so legendary anymore. You got 2 of almost every type of Legendary for sale on the TP. There’s even an Eternity or two in there.

Well I tried a full Cleric build with banners and/or shouts. And it worked quite well. Haven’t tried it in High-level fractals though.

Edit : Fixed with a change in the 10th point discipline skill, thanks to the advice I recieved. Gonna have to make a lot more changes, as Veritas’ advice sums up the problems with my build.

This is a build I came up with today. Tried it with sword/sword, Sword/axe & sword/ shield, wearing full knight’s armor ( thats what I always use ). Worked decently in PvE. It isnt exactly the best build for soaking up damage in dungeons but the damage is good.

I thought I’d make somewhat of a hybrid build that can do decent damage and not die too fast, while making use of the warrior’s burst skills as much as possible.

I’m thinking of other builds, but I did try this one in PvE as well as dungeons, with all types of weapons except longbow, and it was quite decent.

I’ve tried to make it so that it can be used with any weapon type. Please give your feedback & suggestion on this. Thanks.

This is the sword/shield build I was using earlier. It was quite effective in PvE. Havent tested it out in WvW though.

I’m using this build. Healing power along with a banner or shout heal build does keep my kitten alive in the harder explorable mode dungeons etc.

haha I just reached CoF for the first time, got into an explorable group immediately even without trying story mode, thought I’d be farming a nice amount of Karma, and BANG, disconnected lol.

Here’s my warrior. Don’t mind the crappy signet build, but it’s quite effective lol.

Sword/shield as primary set and Sword/Axe as secondary. This hybrid build gives me good survivability and good bleed damage. Works quite well in solo PvE play, or groups even.

You can swap the sword/axe for a rifle and the rifle trait in the Arms tree if you want. Also swap Shield Master with Last Stand for hard fights.

In every fight I’ve got targets at 9+ level bleed all the time, or they’re dead lol. The signet is necessary for the regen, in addition to a full set of the Dolyak runes in my armor. That’s quite a bit of Toughness, Vitality & health regen. Might boon sigils on all 4 of my weapons is mandatory for even more extra damage.

Does the job just fine for me TBH.

This is the exact same response that I have got, and I’ve been having this issue since launch. Anet need to do something about this in a hurry. This is really getting on my nerves now.

It’s impossible to purchase anything in-game if this Payment Risk Management system is flagging all transactions as “high risk”. I even gave these guys a phone number to call to confirm the legitimacy of these transactions, but still no response.

Anet, please do something about this Issue. I WANT TO PAY YOU, to make use of your in-game services, I want to GIVE YOU MY MONEY for them, but you just aren’t letting me do it. A hilarious situation, which isn’t that funny anymore.
