What I mean, is can I create a GW account as whatever name and still link it to my GW2 account? Or do they have to be the same name.
Hey I have a question, I am interested in creating a GW account so that I can do the achievements for GW2. I have never played GW before and only have my account for GW2, how would I go about creating/linking these accounts. Is this possible?
Thanks, just a bit confused about the whole thing.
Yeah, lets go to the moon!
While I absolutely love the relative realism of GW2, I find myself desiring some more “strange” locations to explore. Now, don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of epic, fantasy type locations, I just desire something weirder. Something like the Super Adventure Box.
For instance there was a quest in TES Oblivion where you entered a painting to find a missing paintbrush, all of the background art/trees shifted to a paintlike atmosphere.
Another example would be the “Planes” from Everquest, locations that were outside the regulations of normal dimensions.
I don’t know how or if this would ever fit into the living story, but I definitely think that the art style of GW2 would lend itself exceptionally well to some more bizarre locations, zones rather than small instances.

Just wondering, are dungeons supposed to be very difficult if you are sub level 80?
this is a very good point, clarification would be nice, “classes” of weapon skills etc.
I would like to see more titles available to characters. Specifically more unique ones.
Examples:
- After killing 1000 Ascalonian ghosts you would achieve a title like “Ghostbuster”
- After dying from falling damage 100 times you would recieve one like “The Clumsy”
It would open up many more customization options for characters and allow us more flexible in outlining how we roleplay our characters.

hahah Prince Charming is great, yeah Just more options, some playful, some serious, some restricted to race etc.
I think it would really open up a lot more fun/more stuff to do at endgame.

I would love to have a harpoon wielding engineer, oh please I would love that so much.

I like this idea, keep the world fresh
I’d be into the idea of less Waypoints, as long as there was something to increase movement speed besides what we have now.
I’m into this idea +1
More armor skins, they don’t even have to be fancy, just more options to mix and match.
Maybe even more “bizarre” armors, rusty metal/weird scifi asura stuff/more unique helmets.
Make Charr armor less clunky looking, (clipping tails, weird squished helmets)
Engineer Grenade kit auto attack (don’t know how to implement this, just sick of carpal tunnel mashing 1)
Option to turn off voices for “For Great Justice” etc.
Account-Wide Dye
Illegible text issues in TP
“You fight against people who’re the exact same as you, over a place that is “somewhere” and for no reason.”
This x100000
the reason RVR in Daoc was fun was because of the camaraderie of each realm, in GW2 there is 0 incentive to do anything, its like playing tag.
I undercut like crazy, cause I want ze money righ now
Everytime I try to load the trading post through the merchant or simply the UI interface I get stuck at the gem store, this persists through restart of the game.
I don’t understand why they would change AC to this ridiculous level now. I was under the impression that AC was an introductory dungeon. I found it very difficult but ultimately enjoyable when I was leveling up my first character around lvl 35, increasing the difficulty was unnecessary on this dungeon, and frankly doesn’t make any sense when there are already many other dungeon options for higher leveled characters.
Isn’t this just because charr get goofy stretched human armor?
C’mon who wouldn’t like to roll around with this guy? They’re already canines so it shouldn’t be too difficult right?
Pretty pretty pretty please make wargs tamable, coolest animals in the game.
It seems to perform well under almost every other necro weapon, but its just so fun to play. Any chance of a buff to bring it more into line?
Its funny you say this because I’ve found this is one of the most friendly mmo’s I’ve ever played. WoW has seriously one of the worst player bases I’ve ever come across.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the community in this game.
Hey all, I was just wondering if perhaps any of you could recommend any good looking light armor that would fit well with a Charr Necromancer, posting pictures of your charr would also be interesting. Thanks!
Is it possible to dodge without rolling in a specific direction? Say a duck or jump in place? Would this be game breaking if it was possible?
Yeah I think thats what Im leaning toward, plus I really like the way Charr hold the greatsword
Hello, new player here, have played many other mmo’s, loving the new feel of GW2 so far. However I seem to be unable to decide on a profession.
I have got a Ranger a Warrior and a Thief as the 3 professions I find most appealing so far.
My issue seems to be that I am not particularly good at dodging yet, which it appears would eliminate Thieves. I have found playing my Ranger to be a bit boring and the pet is too much micromanagement for now. What I am wondering is if Warriors can succeed (primarily in leveling and PVE) without having epic dodging skills, the same question applies to thieves.
Could I successfully play a thief without figuring out dodging right away? Movement I have no trouble with, but my timing seems to be awful.
In short I am wondering if someone could outline some basic builds/weapons that would be good for a varied first time leveling character.
Thanks in advance.
