Trying not to be negative, but what kind of logic is that? Isn’t that basically telling people to pay for advantage, or worse pay to win? I personally would rather have a even playing field for everyone. Cause that is what competing in pvp in WvW is about.

That’s my feeling exactly! Players in hockey don’t pay the NHL or the referee for a special High Sticking ability without serious repercussions. Both teams should have access to the same skills & abilities regardless on how much they spent on training, equipment, ect…..

Allowing them to do so defeats the entire purpose of the match. Not to mention the NHL wouldn’t be around much longer if they did allow it.

This is the very core reason I will not be playing anymore. Used to love playing WvW. But by isolating & segregating the base players (who already bought the base game) from the versatility of playing the new class specs. Adds a natural unbalance based on upon who bought HoT.

Lets use baseball as a example. Lets say you cant have out fielders position unless you pay for it. Sure you can play without it. But your team will have a huge advantage if you and others on your team did.

Sounds kind of far fetched. But that lack of balance is the very reason GW2 will not be a “esport” that Anet wanted to tout that it is or was.

Well its a combination between that & the fact that having to buy parts of the living story if you missed any part of it via gems of cash. But Ive learned my lesson about paying for a F2P game in advance. Came to the conclusion that it is not a wise decision.

Except that you can pay in game gold for the living story and most of the playerbase got it for free, by logging in when it was available.

It’s one of the ways (often ignored) that Anet rewarded veteran players.

You don’t need the living story season 2 to play the game anyway. It’s a nice thing, but it’s not a necessary thing.

So a needless grind for gold to buy the gems (Which I mentioned). To play content that was free to the players that were able to be around those few weeks. Or pay more cash for a game you already bought. Yeah… sounds fun.

Its fine if that’s alright with you. But me? I think I will pass.

I think the idea is so they can pick which piece of the armor they use. Not to use the entire set.

I must be the luckiest sob or the unluckiest. After my first sandstorm I got a bug (which I don’t want) and an ascended weapon box (with crappy) stats.. So I got 2 rare drops that I can’t use or give away… Or sell.

I got one right off the bat also. But I have not seen 1 Favor of the Zephorites (tier 4) completed yet. It might as well be a legendary….

Still no chest here on Blackgate either. “1st place in the Spring of 2014 tournament”, and nothing. Been on the same server for 645 days with the qualifying meta done.

Been on the receiving end of being out of the circles & still getting K.O.ed multiple times now. To the point that a little title & mini is not worth the blood pressure to me. One little latency spike away from dying is not a mechanic one can learn (Tho in built in latency meter might help).

I like the idea of the event as a whole, but the one bad mechanic that is this susceptible
these latency issues is just bad & kind of spoils the whole thing.

Grats to the people that got luck of the draw on their chosen class & spec. without latency. But I’m going to pass on this part of the event.

How about the ability to actually drown when your aqua breather gets broken or if you remove it?

You can salvage the Field Guide back peices, but none of the others.

Even if I managed to obtain a precursor I would not use it. It would be far more useful to me to just sell it on the TP for the prices they are going for. Then you start considering the price of the t6 mats, ectos, honor badges, clovers.

Its just not worth the investment, time, & sanity to obtain one.

Think I’ve hit this wall too. Gotten 121/150 Fractal Frequenter, level 20, & 0 rings I could use. Been kicked before the level 20 even starts due to lack of agony resistance.

But at least I’m 300 relics away from ascending my capacitor back piece, or maybe I’m playing the wrong game.

As others have stated, join a Guild. I have absolutely no trouble finding guild mates who want to do level 1’s.

Doing level 1 is not the problem, you can find those all day long. Its the in between from 3 to 8-ish that its hard to form a group for at the moment. And I’m sure the gap will grow as it goes on.

I have to agree. Just spent 2+ hours spamming away LFG FotM 3 & so far got nothing but a headache.

I did it on my 11th clock face attempt due to some bug not letting me in. Had to relog to fix it.

Ok, just tried it after a reboot, relog & got it on the first attempt. I say there is definitely a bug in it.

Before I relogged it was acting like a invisible bounding box keeping me back.

Yes at the very end, on the last steps where your supposed to jump into the face of the clock.

Ten times now & can not manage to jump to it. Tried to jump early, late, & just as it breaks. Each time I hit a invisible wall.

I was doing my story line Forging the Pact. Ended up doing it 3 times due to the escorts not moving & bugging out on me. But managed to get it the 3rd time. When I zoned out lost connection to the login server.

Now I logged back in & guess which part of the story line I’m on.

Yeap that’s right Forging the Pact for the 4th time.

Tried drowning my self yesterday to see if there was a hidden achievement for it.

So I unequipped my aquatic headgear & headed near the closest body of water. Prepared my self for the inevitable death, thinking I was going to have to chose a spawn point. But when I got into the water I had no drowning meter. Waited for several minutes watching my character breath underwater before I realized, I CAN NOT DROWN.

How awsome would it be to cause someone to drown with broken gear in pvp. So please remove my characters gills & allow us to drown.

Yeah, I tried putting in the +3 stat gems & they refuse to work.

Can not seem to put anything in the slot.

I went with the backpack just for the slot seeming how obtaining a helm would happen a lot more often then obtaining a backpack.

Is it just broken or is there only certain upgrades usable for the slot?
