Exactly my thoughts. After the overwhelmingly negative feedback on the current trait system, it’s still in place and for almost an year.
It seems that the devs are very arrogant and do not care what the player base think. Very sad.

They really really really need to change the trait system, and more specific the way you acquire them.
Why did they even change it from the original? Now the new players are basically forced to buy gold to get the new traits, because only a mad man would think that they would go on an “exciting journey” to hunt them all around the world.
So was this a gold sink, another way Anet to make few bucks out of the poor new players? Or did they try to make gw1-alike system? Either way they failed.
I recently decided to start leveling a warrior, and to unlock the speed buff trait at around level 30 I am forced to go to 50+ level area for this trait, really? Absolutely ridiculous.

Why do we get to use our trait points at level 30? Did they explain this?
Seems like a BAD New player experience to me…

Why do you people do not like the outfits?
They are better, cheaper and more convenient way to “dress up” your character.
Also you can use them basically for free while lvling

And well, I am constantly blasted by the media about the plane crash, and some family members lost people they know, but I can’t do anything but shake my head at people so upset about this.
They’re doing exactly what the tabloids like BILD want, they’re getting upset at/about something to fuel further hate tirades by these companies. In the process they’re trivializing the grief of the family members and friends in favor of wanting to raise pitchforks against anything even remotely relating to the crash. Well done.

The last announcement seems pretty nice.

Basically it is the reason why end game maps like Orr are completely empty, and maps like Queensdale are so crowded. Poeple pick easy loot=easy life.
How do we fix the high level maps in GW2 guys?

Devs always talk about bigger penalty over our stats when downscaled. But is this trully the answer? I think not, for 3 reasons.

1st – the mobs in the starting maps are way to easy, and makng them harder (like those in Orr) will be a huge turn off for the new players.

2nd – downscaling in this game works BETTER than the upscaling, therfore low level characters have no benefits whatsoever for being in Orr. Also they dont have access to all their trait, so this means less damage and survivability.

3rd – it is a consequence from 1 and 2 – low level zones are crowded with players from all levels, and the high lvl maps remaining empty.

Also isnt it weird that if I decide, I can level from 1 to 80 just by doing champ events in Queensdale, but if I decide to do so in Orr….well good luck with that.

ANet is an American company, they update on American times. It’s going to be late at night somewhere in the world regardless of when they deploy the patch. They didn’t blow anything, you’re just upset that ANet doesn’t cater to overseas when they work.

Blizzard is also an american company. BioWare too. Both companies deliver updates in an appropriate time for us from Europe.

The money emission comes after this. It is usually done by the central banks.
In the case of gw2 the increased prices force people to convert more gems in gold, and indeed it creates a larger gold pool in the game.

I think the question in the OP is personal for everyone. You should not quote someone and say “You are not right!”.

How I feel about the game? Mostly sad, because I am not playing it.

Why I am not playing it? Because I have to grind my * off for the BiS gear. Which was not my expectation about the game when I first bought it.

I feel like my journey in GW2 is over because of that. GW2 was a great game when you didnt have to grind for the BiS gear. Now – well , lets be honest, the way you have to grind for the gear is just plain boring, and there are many better option on the market if you want to play a grindy MMO with vertical gear progression.

GW2 was supposed to be different.

Why are people so crazy about this? There is nohing exclusive in this VIP membership that is not included in the cash shop right now. In this game you CAN BUY GOLD with real money, and you all nerds flip out because of a VIP membership that gives certain benefits maybe on a better discounted price?

GW2 does not have a subscription, so it could be possible. Even I log sometimes, wonder around for 30 minutes to an hour then log out. However its hard to believe that there are 9000 players at any given time on each server. Why? Well maps are empty, LA does not even have an overflow on one of the most populated EN EU servers. So…I guess the number is just marketing.

Also really looking forward to that “Heroic movement” where you can double jump, flip, teleport mid air, slide down hills,vaulting over ledges,leaping far distances, wear magic boots that make you float, and probably a lot more when it launches.
In gw2 I am kinda getting tired of always being tethered to the ground with a boring slow walk and a few speed buffs because waypoints justify not having any of that stuff or mounts.

Also heard that they are already working on the first expansion for EQN right now which is how they intend to generate the most income as it will be F2P.
