Norns are anything but obese.

I dislike:
Humans, because of the way how they hold the great sword (both male and female).
Male humans, because the way they walk.
Asura, because too small.
Charr, because I cant see myself playing as an animal for some reason.

I am currently playing a male Norn (the shortest model, because they are too tall for my like) and I enjoy it. Also their cultural armor is awesome (the heavy one).
I can make a compromise and play as Sylvari (for example thief or ele).

For a profession – I prefer to stick to my main, which is guardian. I do not like to switch between alts, and prefer to dedicate my time to 1 profession. Altho I dont mind any profession in the game.

Why is Arenanet making so time limited achievements…I will be away for the weekend and there is no way I can get the achievement or the helmet. Maybe they can repeat the fireworks the next weekend too, for those who will miss the 14-17 ones? Please? :|

The game mechanics are what they are, but there’s no reason to screw over other players when it takes a few seconds longer not to.

Oh really? Well today I was good enough to wait for 2 other palyers in a low level map (I was first tot he holoprojector). When we activated the holoprojector, the warrior rushed through the mobs and killed them instantly.

No, they don’t. They want a title they can display so that people will stop thinking of them as wallet warriors that bought a Legendary with daddy’s credit card. It’s not about bragging rights, it’s about some way to say “no, I didn’t use a credit card. I actually worked hard to get this, so kitten”.

Well, I thought, since my Warrior must be a Berserker for PvE, I better dress up myself like a berserker. Berserkers deal heavy damage but can’t take hits for themselves, so this fits the philosophy quite well I think :P

I always die by retalation… because i use thief shotbow, retalation x3 every shot i recieve 900/1k dmg per sec and my signet of malice heal me…. 120 (120 × 3 = 360 heal per sec)

Thieves need more heal from this skill in WvW

I had the most painful PvE experience with a thief. Can’t comment on PvP.

Guardian for leveling. Warrior for general PvE.

Stealth is an awful mechanic. Personally, I have no idea why GW2 has it.

Because you got the HP pool and the damage.

The warrior hp pool is a joke. Guardians have regen. protection, Aegis and retaliation. That trumps any hp pool you can come up with.

If our Hp pool and damage were better than a guardian..how come you run away from a good GS/hammer guardian when you are a master of weapons and stuff? They also have a heal that blocks at the same time. Guardian survivability is just a joke that needs to be addressed. I dunno when the devs will leave PVE to focus on class balance. Maybe next year.

Survivability in this game is not about numbers. Its about mechanics/boons.

So if they take away the guardian survivability (which is btw a joke, if you run a full dps build /good luck 11k hp/), what is left there? Have you ever checked OUR dps traits – now this is a kitten joke.

Hur dur, I am a warrior, I smash, I demand to oneshot, to have mobility and survivability in a full zerker gear and traits! Give me a break.

Edit: not to mention that warrior’s range option are also superior to the guardian’s.

Sigils & runes with different abilities from the current superior would give PvP a real shot in the arm, with new builds hopefully being possible. The same to a lesser extent would apply to WvW and PvE.

I also want ascended items available in WvW…its been 7 months since the first ascended items were released and still nothing in WvW…come on Anet…

Also, no new currencies, its stupid the amount of different currencies in this game…

I really like the game but it’s not perfect. there’s still many boots around, boys health remain to high and there’s a lack of interesting boys mechanics, pvp balance needs improving along with more game modes. the game is to resource heavy and can result in a lot of lag in wvw and large events. So I think it’s far from perfect. But I think the positives far outweigh the bad which is why I play. Very fun game but I don’t agree that it is perfect.

They’re definitely limited, though. A year from now someone can still forge any legendary; the same can’t be said for fused weapons.

They didn’t cost nearly as much gold, either.

regardless of how you got it, a fused weapon sends the message that you gambled 100$ of RL money on it. Legendaries while purchasable with RL money still have an element of farming and in game pride. These things will be released regularly so Fused weapon is the first of many many one time skins that have to be gambled for. Unless you are a Dubai prince or something you won’t be able to obtain them all so just get whatever you want. No one at any time in the future will care if you have a fused weapon I promise and it doesn’t make you look more elite ever.

They all look average (preference is irrelevant, that’s the truth). If they were on a dungeon token they would would be one of the least popular sets. Not to mention that’s one single weapon on one alt.

That’s funny since I got my bow when I opened a chest with a key obtained from a personal story mission on an alt (I didn’t even know what the token was for, and only by chance when returning the lost items did I notice the vendor by the refugees). On the other hand, if I ever get a legendary, it will absolutely be purchased with gold.

This. I spent 9 keys collected through my personal story etc. And I didn’t got a ticket. On the next day I won 1 more key and decided to test my luck. And got a ticket. RNG is RNG, not everyone with fused skin spent real money on it.

I especially like GW2 because it’s simple (not many useless skills like the most generic MMOs), and yet with high learning curve (especially with some classes) plus good combat mechanics, that keep you engaged. The traits and the gear customization add so much to the game as well. Also what kind of skills are you using in the other mmos? Fire arrow-fire arrow-fire arrow and occasionally fire ball or something?

If you feel lonely in the world, find a guild, make friends. I know it’s easy to say it, but maybe you need someone to play with. GW2 is appealing to the solo loving players, maybe you are not one of them. I was leveling my first char with a friend, and it was a lot of fun
