I did the math on the other topic.. each trinket, yes, is a 10% boost but overall it is a 3-5% change in your stats.. please go read that again.

Except you are comparing a MIXED set of ascended trinket + exotic gear to a FULL set of exotic gear. I am comparing a full set of ascended to a full set of exotics. Or a single piece to a single piece.

None was aking for new gear tier. Do not implement the ascended gear. Please, don’t!
Also there are so many questions around this new – are we going to be able to insert runes in those? Are they going to have a new design? Are we going to see new runes in the game (i.e. the most expensive runes are going to became obsolete)?! Etc. etc. etc…

At 500, crafters will be able to craft ascended weapons and armor.

Pretty much all of the burst, damage wvw pvp builds avoid AH. I think the only builds that go into AH/EM are the support/heal oriented builds. Otherwise why are you taking AH?

Good warriors are interesting to watch, they have some spectacular abilities and a good mobility. My main is guardian and I think we are more boring to watch than warriors.

Thieves and d/d elementalists are cool to watch.

If you are not ok with the race change, DO NOT DO IT.
If you are not ok with the reseting/whatever with the personal story, DO NOT DO a race change.

But there are a lot of people, who do not care about the personal story, and do not have any prejudices about the race change. They will race change, and it in NO WAY will affect your personal gameplay experience!

In conclusion: If the race change became available, none will be forcing you to do it. So why the whine?

As a PvE’er, the combat system in this game is so awful, so it really doesn’t matter how many dungeons they are going to add in the future. They will be getting old pretty fast, and will be tedious to do.

Hello! So I had the 166/167 Maguuma Explorer, and I decided to try to find the place I missed. It turned out to be the Calx’s Hideout. So I discovered the place but nothing happened. Still 166/167.

My guildie also had the 166/167 Maguuma Explorer. He also missed the Calx’s Hideout. However when he entered the asura gate to the hideout, he got the achievement.

Anyone knows what’s going on? Is it a bug, or am I missing something?

And under which criteria gloves are worth less than an helmet or shoulder pads? On token cost for dungeons these pieces are usually worth the same amount.

A lot people don’t show helmet and / or shoulders, so in my eyes its better to get the gloves earlier since more people maybe want them and don’t care about the rest.

But I prefer the shoulders. See, your opinion =/= everyone’s opinion. That’s why the OP suggested they can give us the option to chose.

I am looking for a good leveling build/guide for a mesmer.
Ive found one (which insludes 2 builds actually) on reddit that is highly recommended, but I have a problem with it – the both builds are heavily focused on Staff as a main weapon and a GS as an optional secondary weapon.

Now, I really dislike the staff skills. The weapons I really enjoy on a mesmer are sword and GS, but I can not find any good guide for leveling with those 2.

Any recommendations?

I too hate with a passion the jumping puzzles, but yesterday I did them all for a first time (except the one in WvW).
They are not really that hard (again except the one in WvW).

The Caledon Forest one has timer on the pads, but if you fail, you can teleport to the last checkpoint (there are 5 or 6 check points). So you dont have to start over from the beginning.

The one in Dredgehaunt Cliffs is very simple, just get a group. When several people are using the torch skills it goes really fast and easy!

For the kite in Queensdale you dont have to do a jumping puzzle (bandits cave).

The JP in Lornar’s Pass is a kittenallenging, but there are no time limits or environment traps, so you can take your time. Plenty of guides on the internet.

Fireheart Rise – also an easy one. No time limits or traps. Really fast one. Just be careful at the end, the boss has a knock back. Go straight for the kite, and then kill the boss.

Because both classes have access to condition damage along with their other power skills, plus a lot of healing and bunker potential.

The player should still be allowed to keep it and use it on another character though (by transmuting it down to white to remove the soulbound). Or Anet could just make all cultural armor available to all races (like the cultural weapons).

The cultural armor should be automatically converted to mach your new race, without losing ANY current items on your character.

i’m just throwing numbers out there, but yeah that’s a good way to look at dps. say something has a consistent hit of 3k, but only able to do this every 10 seconds. what’s the DpS of that skill?

It’s 300 dps, duh. What is really the difference between some class that’s able to hit for 3k every 10 seconds, and another class that’s able to hit for 300 each second, over 10 secnds? The first one has its advantage, and the 2nd one has its advantage. For example, if the player’s HP is around 2k, someone who is hitting for 3k over 1 hit, but every 10 seconds can be seen as a huge thread, because he can oneshot you. BUT you can dodge it. However, dodging 10 hits is not that easy.

In reality, this game is not balanced in 1v1. It is not even balanced around a group play, because we do not have specific roles for each class (like the “holy trinity”).

In other words, comparing the DpS and DpH is stupid, because a thief can deal easily with a berserker warrior, but what the thief is going to do against a bunker guardian, that has funny damage output compared to the warrior?
