I think you haven’t played enough MMO’s where there is only 3 major checkpoints/waypoints in a map and the majority of content in 1 corner to which it takes approx 3 – 5 mins to run to only to die and no ressing allowed so off you go to run it again and again….

My Suggestion – NO MOUNTS – less costing on WP’s.

lol, all that time waiting you could of farm dung runs and bought the dam thing – i know cos i was on my way doing this then got side tracked and spent all my gold now back at 20g and starting again….

if they did let us craft precursor – you know its going to have timegated crafting against it right? so in other words your still going to have to wait 3 months to craft the dam thing – if ascended armor is anything to go upon…

run daily frac runs and next thing you know is your slots overrun with rings to which you cant do much besides hoard or destroy.

should let us salvage them for frac relics at least or trade for other ascended trinkets

i still like the idea of being able to complete 2+ dailies worth of in 1 day…. as other games have done.. can just make it a weekly and it stacks like the monthly however at the end of the weekly you dont get anything bonus since its only a combination of the 7 days that would of been each daily. eg; instead of the 50 kills in 1 day, make it 600 kill in the week and the reward is the same amount of AP you would of gotten from doing a daily 50 kills each day..

That way for those with OCD like myself that need to do everything!! can do so at a nice pace rather than rush like a animal in the 1 day to which leaves less time for dung/fracs/LS/etc…

Most ppl will argue, if it takes you longer than 30 mins to complete the daily then your doing it wrong blah blah blah – read! i said a nice pace!!!

lol – the amount of legendaries around already means that they are too easy to attain. almost every 1/20 ppl have a legend of some sort.

most ppl r just grinding the gold and buying them…..

i was (and still am) a massive db2 fan – never bought db3 cos when playing the trial i knew there would be something wrong with having 100% online only game – my gut feeling was right.

gw2 is starting to get there also. however when it comes to added content i just keep reminding myself that its free and also the fact that less expectation means less chance to crack the kittens!

soooooo looking at going to ESO – never payed subs ever and i might start with that!

have to admit gw1 did have me for about 1.5 years until i moved on..
gw2 – the clock is ticking and we almost at the 1.5 year mark… so chop chop on the good stuff

pretty much its just children acting like …. well……. children!

eg; PVP matches – players join a 8v8 game where Red team is at 45 – 60 points, blue with 1 – 10 points and u start seeing most of them leave the blue team….

WvW – people still jumping/sitting on dead bodies…. or you see players jump around because they avoided a 3v1…

PvE – massive group events – ppl stand at boss/champ spamming “1” and then when they dont dodge and get downed they start talking trash to everyone around

haven’t tried sPvP so cant comment..

the is STILL going on even after 1 year….. so no point getting upset with the childish behavior…. some things u just gotta put up with – like bad drivers on the road!

Yes. They could do away with the ridiculous notion of temporary content altogether. That would fix the issue quite nicely.

much like burning a house down fixes the squeaky door hinge issue.

OR how about no added temporary content and instead you can pay another $30 for content to which can be finished in about 10 hours….

Very true, but I could not resist trying. I am not angry, just disappointed in myself. lol

LOL – this will come into play one day. Once precursors can be crafted we’ll see just how much they will be worth!

Speaking on this topic when Precursors “Become Available” to be crafted.
Along with many other aspects “Promised” to be added into the game…
I would no doubtingly say that if they did add this option it would more than likely need 100 Deldrimor Steel Ignots to craft the base Greatsword / Blade / Dagger.
Seeing as it would not be very wise to force the price of something to crash, which would cause Legendaries to tilt aswell.

Plus think about it… Anet would love to add it because they treasure their
TIME GATED Materials.

Hence y i am hoarding my time gated items now!!!!

simple reason is there is not enough players to fund such a server in the area..

I haven’t had any probs – played on anvil rock NA – no probs. Playing now on Jade quarry NA and yes LA lag’s every now and then and the only thing i have seen when it really gets hammered is scarlets event when everyone was doing them… lag was amazingly massive..

advanced ore pack i can agree with buying provided it covers: oric, mith, plat and iron.
however the 800 gems i cannot justify these considering the value of the ores in this basic pack would not yield a return until somewhere around 2016…

think someone touched on it further up – speed.

majority of classes can deal massive dmg in a very small timeframe eg; <10s.

Provided that some are immob – pretty much nothing can be done even when u have +3k armor and 20k hp… still means nothing.

I tested this since im running a knights war shout build. ran into a zerg about 5 times. without a dodge or evade (from weap skills) pretty much down within 5-10s. dodges + evades i last alot longer ofc. closer to the 1-3 mins.

i think that toughness/armor rating needs to be scaled better – is it actually working correctly to the point we can get exact calculations?

having had run both the GS phantasm build and the staff condi build….

firstly – GS phantasm build – yes i never had the clone on dodge traited for the simple fact that on dodge i could lose my dmg dealers.

Staff builds will effectively disappear for the mesmers if this goes ahead – already i am able to withstand 1v1 – 1v3 fights, however each instance is very difficult to down a person without additional help or the player messing up their combat. most of my fights last anywhere from 3 – 8 mins.

with this now – looks like i am going back to GS phantasm build – can i get back my 150k karma i spent then! having to constantly destroy the clones now via F1 – 4 for the sake of stacking condi’s pretty much renders the staff build alot slower than what it already is (unless i clone dodge and stand next to my clone)..

yea this is going to be a tough one to swallow..

If you have lag issues, I empathise but that’s your issue. I wouldn’t buy an FPS and then ask for enforced tab targeting because I happened to be playing on a crud laptop.

Glory is from PVP – and I think it’s going away soon. Spend it now if you have it, and don’t plan on getting lots if you don’t.

Crafting is still the fastest way to level, as long as money is no object. There’s one important thing to keep in mind, however: with the advent of ascended crafting, the amount of character XP you get is spread out more. Skilling up to 500 will net you 10 character levels, while skilling up to 400 only gets you 8 (? I think?). What’s more, Cooking and Jewelcrafting still only go up to 400, but give you character XP at the same rate as the other craftskills. Ultimately it means you can’t level a brand-new character to 80 solely through crafting, like you could before ascended crafting was introduced. And it’ll be very expensive, requiring a lot of exotic crafting at the upper end.

Glory going away?
Is this confirmed? – so is it a case of stock up and use it while you can kind of a thing??

Glory is going away. However, Anet stated they give us ample warning before it does. It’s not going to happen until the next huge pvp update, and that’s not for some months.

FuriousPop, I would like to encourage to continue to work on MF, I was in the same boat, for the longest time I ran with 120-150% and thought it was just a number that really didn’t mean anything. So didn’t pursue it. I got really bored one day and thought hmm, I wonder if I can pull off maxing it out and if so how long would it take ect. So started working diligently on it. Once I was running about 252-257% base I really notice a significant increase.

Tongku, about the dye, that is exactly what I had thought, maybe somehow it is figured as a rare. I don’t know…..lol

Since every +1% MF takes slighty more than the previous %, it is becoming more and ‘s more of a pain to salvage everything for these essences of luck. just to save my fingers i have been making the +200 ones every time i get a stack of 250 of the 10’s. I used to run with full MF gear – changing to this acc bound system…i dunno…. i hope it works out better, i guess i gotta stick with it to see better results..

3 gold ore = 440c
total = 8s / day
800 gems = 59.92g
time to recoup cost = 749 days
I’ll probably buy it anyways.

Great logic, not only did he do the math – but hes going against it!

Pay me 60g and i’ll give you:

I found that MF does nothing because the probability of an item dropping is soley dependent upon how much it costs in the TP.

And this is coming from a guy who has never gotten anything worth more than 1g.

if that was true, then we shouldn’t be getting blues and greens since they are in the 4 – 5s+ areas….

hmmmm the never ending story – over 1 year now and Anet still hasn’t come out stating exactly how it works…..

that aside,

sitting on 100% base + buffs roughly around the 150 area (not much i know) but i have noticed a major change.

1/50 drops i get white
1/25 blue
1/15 green
and heres the crappy part
1/75-100 rare – yellow
1/500 exotic (1700 hours plus and done heaps of farming and i think i counted 10 exotics ever – maybe 15 to be safe)

of course these are just my averages from drops alone – not counting chests.

Mostly seems to be blues and greens. starting to question if its even worth salvaging more items to up the MF or not….

Collision will never be implemented into this game.

You will destroy a large number of skills not to mention the whole stealth mechanics, let alone the amount of trolls out there.

A large proportion of players dislike crafting and didn’t want to be forced to craft to 500. A better sure way is a token system, they already have one in place for ascended with laurels. Or even allow ascended items to be sold on the TP.

i didn’t think most people dislike crafting since its almost in every MMORPG i have ever come across.

but hey +1 for adding it to the laurel vendor and/or on the TP.

but rather get it all in 1 day u have to work towards it. same as we did for exotics.. however crafting provides the chance for ALL to “attain” ascended, just because the option is there doesn’t mean u HAVE to. but don’t mistake that for i SHOULD have it because of such and such…

the only other option is to put it up in the laurel vendor and have ppl farm their dailies to get their items. having them drop is probably the same rate as a precursor…

Yeah u might have to farm the gold/materials but its still a sure way to get them..

Sounds good to me. come to think of it – i think there was another MMO that did something very similar but wasn’t a PvP type of change but more so a PvE so when mobs went into stealth you could see the blood dripping on the floor as they moved.. can’t recall what it was – think it might of been one of those Korean ones…

u can kind of tell now when u hit because the animation of ur char changes – but thats only for melee type wild swinging into the air..

Your second argument is rather funny. Out of initiative, lol… Yes, then you stealth and have all of it back before even dropping out of stealth. There is a reason you can perma stealth. Its the initiative system that break the stealth system to begin with – no cooldowns, few limitations.

Um… wasn’t perma-stealthing not nerfed last patch…? Am I missing something…?
Or was it that they interpreted it wrong, nerfed the thieves, but people still want what they’ve been originally asking for (incoming another nerf) but were misinterpreted.

i don’t think it was nerfed last patch – if anything they buffed it, maybe by accident but it is definitely different than before the patch!

problem is – a weap skill to stealth with a util to stealth + steal to stealth – too many options to hit & stealth and repeat. yes there probably is a counter and learn to dodge blah blah – but i dont think the culling in Spvp is working correctly in WvW – i mean there IS suppose to be a tool to stop the theif for at least 1-2 secs from going in and out of stealth at such a rapid rate – correct me if i am wrong please? i haven’t played my theif since before last patch…

the problem is there are too many options for a theif to remain stealthed 95% of the time.

i was fighting one yesterday, no matter how i played i was downed after 5 mins of 1v1 him. he would do the same thing, once i got him to 50% health he would stealth, retreat & heal and back at me within 10 secs… majority of the time he is coming in and out of stealth for 1 shots, 1 hit then stealth again….

in the end it took 3 of us to down him, the guy had the nerve to party us (since in WvW on different server) and tell us that we were bad players and needed to learn more and how funny it was that we had to zerg him to beat him….

i like the idea of stealthed seeing stealth players however this would mean just run with someone in stealth and problem solved – never backstabbed 10k dmg by theif again…

i could of sworn that stealth never lasted THAT long…

lol – warrior didnt even target the necro when he hit “on my mark” – it wont apply the vul if u dont target the necro – the 2nd time he tried – necro was targeted so it actually work. also hammer & rifle not the best combo… try some different combo of weap with traits and u will be surprised.

everything requires effort and time….

they can’t just give u all the loot u want, then u would complain about having everything and nothing to do….

i’ve been playing since 3 days before launch – still no legend, just been doing as much as i can since im a casual player (every day 1 – 2 hours). and due to this i cannot attain what some players who play 4+ hours per day get….

15 months in, and they acknowledged there was a problem with the cap over a year ago. No mention of it since. It’s not happening any time soon. Fixing condition damage doesn’t get more people playing, it doesn’t generate revenue. Where is the win for ANet? Time and time again, they’ve shown they care little for their customer’s concerns. I remember huge unanswered threads on this forum about various issues with this game…ignorance is bliss.

no MMO is perfect – it takes alot of time and effort – to which by the time it is completely balanced 1 of 2 things will happen – too many players have left OR GW3 will come out.

at the end of the day, GW2 is a business not a charity – things need to be done so they can win ALWAYS….

having said that – CAP increase means things will die too quickly – maybe not to increase the stack but adding another condition to target from a different player increases the duration rather than remove it all together or something along those lines. what ever they do (if anything) must be done carefully since it could prove to be a massive inbalance to the game…

Would be easier to add a collection for skins wouldn’kitten just like they did for ascended materials…

Dye’s – ofc its a cash shop thing to make it per char rather than per acc – 1 dye X 10 chars – 10 dyes @100 gems each! woot 1000gems for anet…. Greed!

Guess its harder to introduce new colors huh…….sheeeesh.
why am i starting to get the feeling cashnet is starting to change things for the worse…

ooooooooo theres an idea – ascended type dung gear – each dung has different looking ascended gear and they could be sold for 10k tokens each piece – oh wait thats another grind – nah scratch that…

Most likely none…. I have 16 level 80s, that’s 26 builds. Can’t make that much armor….. Now do I play all of those? Not as much anymore, but I still run about 7-8 builds…. 7-8 sets of ascended armor and weapons? Yeah right…. that will never happen.

I still haven’t gotten asc weap let alone the new armor. it will take time ofc.
Maybe in the long run if anet makes it more accessible to attain – eg; from world chests with better chances than 0.00005% then yea maybe one day.

For the time being as most of u stated – not grinding it out….
