Yeah it is pretty kittening annoying and a massive blunder, not sure how something that basic got through testing.
Not sure what ability it is or whether it is many abilities but it looks like a rifle shot of some. It goes through gates, walls and everything. If the guy first has me targeted the only thing I can do is move out of range, nothing can shield me from the shots. This is in Stone Mist castle.
Definately depends how you play it but you do have a point, I could practice it but I do still wish it was easier.
So Im just wondering if there is any way to make it so the elixirs automatically get thrown at my feet without having to target ?
Gets a little annoying in hectic fights.
Oh and another question, is anyone else having trouble getting the new stealth removal toolbelt ability to work ?
Havent unstealthed anyone yet.

Alright Im gonna be the noob that asks, where do you get the shocking aura ?
No its from the smokescale pet, it spams it like crazy.
The problem is even if I close the gap which isnt that difficult, I get blinded so much that I never threaten his condition cleanse, he doesnt need it due to me missing so many attacks.
Just looking for a few pointers after having been gone for over a year, a link to a few specs would be nice combined with suggestions for runes and sigils.

What stats govern these traits, is it just power for the damage aspect and healing power for the healing part of the traits or what ?
Is it worth it to gear specifically for these traits or are they so weak they are not worth it in the long run ?
So I took a long hiatus and Im now basically clueless.
I used to play a condition necromancer and that worked really well in WvW, basically giving me a fair fight against most opponents but now I seem to get steamrolled by most opponents.
Ofcourse my gear isnt up to snuff (how much has it increased, Im wearing only orange lvl 80 gear) and Im rusty but how viable is the condition spec now ?
Yeah it should probably be excempt from the reveal buff.
Its a shame when the traits forced on you are actually negative, such as the mini pet necros get (which has been fixed at long last).
Elixir Gun is always on my hotbar, the super elixir is excellent with both decent healing and condition removal, the jumo back is awesome and the other abilities are not too bad either. Its rarely equipped for more than 5-6 seconds though, its terrible for sustained dps.
Im fairly happy with the engineer right now but the last round of “buffs” was a big pile of poop for me, it fixed nothing and didnt make me want to change any of my skills around whatsoever.
Seems fair to reduce the cast time, maybe even get rid of it entirely. The nerf was fairly harsh.
Longbow seems pretty weird to me. I think we are fine with the weapons we have now actually.
Torch or Greatsword are my two hopes.
Torch because I want burning condition and a greatsword because I want a weapon with cleave and maybe finally something that is as powerful as Warrior greatsword and Mesmer greatsword…
Oh and Necromancers with greatswords are just cool.
I dont think its a damage nerf, I sometimes hit just as hard as before but often I do not so I think its a case of the iZerker missing more often that it used to.
I would say half the time I do the damage I used and half the time I do about 50-75%.
Staff is a weapon where you plop down your marks, plus an extra mark of blood and then switch back to your other weapon. I would never use it as my main weapon.
I havent had any issues where the skills reset instead of casting myself, maybe its lag you’re experiencing ?
Well for nightmare it should mean that they do nothing now instead of being reduced to 10%.
I have food 40%, trait for 50% duration on fear and the 10 from nightmare runes should give me 100% and that should give me 2 ticks on my fears, I only get 1 so that must mean that nightmare does nothing at all.
And ofcourse my Blood is Power is locked at 30 sec. with and without armor further proving that nightmare runes does nothing at all.
I can verify this, I use the Nightmare runes and I do NOT get the +10% duration anymore. I use Blood is Power to check the durations (because it has a very long duration) and it is 30 seconds with and without my armor on.
Food still seems to work.
I really wish they do a quick patch to fix this.
And yes, Giver’s weapons dont work either but thats nothing new.
This completely ruins my build since Im build for maximum fears and not getting 2 ticks off a fear means its not worth the traits.

Had another incident today that definately proves it (to me at least).
I joined a fight at a supply camp, I only attacked the guild claimer and yet the half dead (when I joined) quartermaster ran straight to me when I joined the fight and stayed chasing me until she died. I never even hit her once.
nah. gears are great anti-zerg consumable. learn to use them……
also they are great gold-sink for A-Net….

They are not unfair because everyone can buy them, they are just stupid and ruin the game.fun is a very subjective term indeed. stunning a zerg may not be your definition of fun but it is for some others……
It probably is, but I bet you they do not think its fun being stunned themselves for 30 sec straight and then die without any chance whatsoever.

If this doesnt get changed I can guarantee you that WvW will turn into a contest of who can start throwing gears first in every fight and that seems really stupid to me.
If they want to keep it in game, make it a 5 min cooldown on using the item (at least) and make it cost 5-10 silver.

Please Anet, remove these stupid items, they are runing WvW for a lot of us.
Gear especially is destroying the game for me atm, usually 1v2 I have at least a chance of running away, when I run into people using this kitten Im dead as toast. This really needs to be removed.

I have noticed this too, happens a lot out in WvW when taking camps (not so noticeable when taking keeps) and I remember doing the halloween dungeon where the mad king litterally didnt attack anyone other than me until I was dead, once I was up again he resumed attacking me. Definately doesnt happen on my other characters.
I agree with you Kirby. And, really LT. Google? are you really complaining about our ability to RUN AWAY? Why would anyone complain about someone running away, to me, it sounds like you’re just upset that there is finally something/someone that you can’t kill easily.

Elementalists only die if they decide to let you kill them, its impossible to catch an elementalist that has any grasp of his class at all and it sucks not being able to close a fight. I dont mind dying but I want a chance of winning as well and not just a choice of losing vs draw.
When it comes to condition engineers, is it better to focus on bleed duration increase or burn duration increase. ? I cant get both to 100% with the spec I want.
Depends on which dungeon and whether you have a warrior/mesmer already.
1 mesmer / 4 warrior are popular for CoF p1.
4 mesmer and 1 warrior would be horrible.
If you dont have a mesmer already I would choose that, if you have both already I would pick another warrior (although 2 mesmer / 3 warrior is good as well).
I like how the elementalists themselves admit that they cant be killed unless they let the enemy (much like a thief). This has to be addressed by the devs, I dont mind DD elementalists getting more power if they just nerf their ability to run away. I rarely lose to an elementalist (there are only D/D nowadays) but I just about never win either due to these silly abilities.
I did 3 × 10 combines, got 30 T6 venom sacs and 20 mystic clovers. After that I didnt dare to do it again and did 1’s the rest of the way.
I feel that the 10’s are more risky, it feels worse once you get behind and have to get several in a row to catch up to the average.
I think it depends on how much you like high risk / high reward

If you consider the total player base we get a huge additional amount of rares and exotics (and thus precursor) through the dailys – by just playing and enjoying the game!
Also the new system attacks the current prices for t6 mats and lodestones by changig the droprate (t6-moldy bags) and adding ways to acquire them (lodestones).Since it adresses ALL sides of the problems simultaneosly, we will see improvement for all those problems addressed here (see pre-patch post above). All the changes will add up and making the one of the endgame goals more gameplay and less credit card.
And also the developers managed to find a solution that will not replace one problem with another.

Are you getting rares and exotics through the dailies ?
Or do you mean just by doing the daily events you are bound to get some drops, I will be honest and say that my dailes so far have been almost the same as it used to except maybe the healer event and that doesnt give kitten.
Or do you mean that people will buy the boxes with random loot ? I can tell you that pretty much everyone in my guild is saving up for ascended items and not buying even a single box which I suspect many others will as well.
I foresee that precursors stay at exactly the same price (outrageous) or maybe even go up as people make more money with their karma (however little it is).

Thats the old name for shattering and I know they havent gotten rid of all the instances of the word.
I love the culling fix as well, thieves are much easier to fight (actually a level playing field now instead of 3 sec of free invis every time they stealth).
I much prefer this over anything we have played with so far.

I agree 100%, the new culling is a great improvement and thieves did indeed get a lot easier to fight since they dont get 3sec of free invisibility every time they stealth, now they get 0.5 or so. I see them almost at the same time as their little swush thingie on the ground.

Actually I did and this is the main bi I got from reading his posts.

That is ofcourse an issue for many people but for many others thats not the problem at all.
Culling is so bad now that some servers use that as their only way of fighting, and stealth and portal bombing gains much more from it than any other way of fighting.
Its easily the biggest problem in WvW now and I think most people agree on this, it makes zergs exponentially more powerful, the more you the more powerful you are because not only do you have more people (duh) but more of them are also invisible.
When WvW is good (meaning smallish groups, 5-20 on each side) its very good and super entertaining, when its bad and people start exploiting culling as their main way of fighting its some of the worst PvP I have ever done.
If Jan 28 doesnt make a huge improvement (which I doubt due to Habib’s own posts) I really hope they make other adjustments so culling bombing isnt the main “tactic” out there and restricting portals would go a long way.
Mesmer hasn’t been nerfed enough? Thing is, when they do determine a remedy to culling, they won’t take it away. So, no. Bad idea.
Or maybe we should just have thieves become stunned like that every time they leave stealth. For the culling bug….

Culling is the main reason why portal bombing and stealth is OP atm, since that takes a long time for them to fix (and no, the 28 patch wont fix it, it merely helps people on slow computers), they have to do something in the meantime and this is something that could help. Oh and for stealth ? they should drastically increase the stealth debuff timer, 5 sec at least maybe even 8.
As long as culling is where its at I suggest putting a 3 sec casting timer on portal or giving people who run through it a 3 sec. stun upon exiting it (which cant be broken with stunbreakers). or even making it so the portal has to stay up for 5 sec before anyone can enter it so people have a chance to respond.
Portal bombing is such bad thing atm because of the culling, you can literally not see anyone until your entire zerg is dead and there is just about no defense against it, hell I have seen people portal bomb a group of people about 10 feet merely to exploit culling.
We can take away the sideffects once culling has been dealt with but for now we need to do something about it. This is exploiting and not tactics anymore.
When the trait Shrug it Off triggers its “free” Shake it Off, does that count as a shout when it comes to Soldier runes and the Vigorous Shouts trait (shouts heal) ?
Mesmers are always wanted for CoF path 1 farms because they can portal the group past the boulders (for now) and time-warp is useful for mini-bosses. If you’re not playing a high-dps build people might be disappointed with what you bring to the group, since other classes play support roles a lot better.
When you say high DPS does my condition build count? I am using MrPrometheus’ staff build which I am really enjoying as I like how it cranks ups the condition damage.
What build is welcome in a Dungeon?
If you play your character well and dont die often anything is welcome. Do remember though that condition damage has a sort of diminishing returns on it, the more people you have with it the worse it becomes per player as there is a max limit on the amount of conditions a you can have.
Did encounter this issue with the jagged horror, so after we reset my solution was simply change to sceptre and just used skill 1 and 3 on lupi, and no AoE skills till that phase ends.

Never have I seen so much outright doubleteaming (not even veiled or slightly disguised) and outright cheating before. Since thats apparently how you stay in T1 I foresee us leaving in 2 weeks, we have nothing on these guys.
I went with dark purple, dark red and sick yellows on my norn female in TA armor, makes it looks like a diseased and twisted flower.
I tried with white instead of the yellow but I didnt like it as much.

At 80 1 point of vitality (on armor or rings or weapons) = 10 health points. You will have a base of around 20k, toughness is generally more useful to necros.
TBH its probably not a big deal whether you go for precision or power as one of the tertiary stats, the bleed procs are nice though.
