I think I’m having an audio bug where a human male yells Attack my target randomly. I’m never actively targeting a mob (shift+t) its more so when I’m running around in WvW. I’m not a human male, I’m a charr so that’s what makes it even more weird

With the upcoming PvP patch it’s revealed that by playing PvP and trading in currency earned there you can slowly gear to ascended. That’s right, the game mode where you don’t need ascended stats get’s this option before WvW where you may run around with multiple armour sets. This better become an available option in WvW soon, I already am playing less and less Anet. Please give me more long term goals.

I’m getting this problem as well. The launcher splash opens but it just says 0/kbs then after awhile gets a connection error. I’m running the 64bit client on Win 10 and have never had this problem before.

I run a full Cleric Rev with Centaur/Drangon stance along with staff and hammer in WvW. I have monk runes for more healing outgoing and boon duration plus boon food or healing food depending on what I’m doing. What I do is run hammer most of the time while in dragon stance. I throw on my heal facet, swiftness facet, and fury facet at all times. While running to battles or with the commander I also use my boon duration facet until my energy drains to 10% then I switch it off or just before an engage.

While running I can usually get my party to about 40- seconds of full clerics regen with outgoing healing buffs ( apprx 700 regen a second), around 1 minute of swiftness and 20 seconds of fury. If my party encounters little boon strips from the enemy zerg I’ve just gave them major advantages in the fight ahead. I’ve calculated my healing using a third party program and for about every 1 minute of combat I heal my party for 100k health just from regen.

During the Fight if it drags on or we are in the middle of a strong push or a strong retreat I switch to centaur and have my tablet pass through as many people in the zerg. When the tablet passes through anyone they are healed for about 2.5k each followed by 4-5k when using the first utility. The shield is also great for choke points and the condi clear utility can be useful as it does heal as well. You can also spec into traits so instead of getting 25% more outgoing healing if you are above 75% health your tablet can pulse regen as well allowing for even more healing while in this stance.

In WvW all other classes when using turtle banners and the like all have their utility skills available for use when running. Revenants however have their utility skills hidden as soon as you pick up the banner. Is this a bug? Or is this to stop Revs from using their facets to get that 50% boon duration and share even more boons while using the turtle banner?

This is a terrible idea. One of the appeals of WvW is the exact chaotic and unbalanced nature of it. You already have a game mode that hands you all the stats without any effort its called SPvP, go play that.

Also watching a Phat Seals video and presenting his argument as your own is, well, just sad.

Sorry I don’t want to slug through hours of pve content I don’t enjoy just to be geared for WvW.

I also never watched any Phat Seals video, this has been something I’ve wanted forever as I only play WvW. I started playing GW2 because they said you can play this game however you want and for me that was WvW almost 100% of the time. This is why I’m totally against locking legendary armour behind a pve raid when arguably WvW players would benefit more from stat switching.The reason I posted this was I was rebuilding my Revenant as a supportive front line and needed Minstrels gear and trinkets not because of some Phat Seals video. I know some of the people in Phat Seals personally but I did not watch the video you accused me of watching.

Don’t see any self-fulfilling prophecy, just was stating that all servers have the same complaints about all other servers. I’ve been on enough servers and all i hear is the same old complaints. Even people in NSP teamspeak are completely kittened when they spew nonsense about being double teamed and the enemy being too bloby. I enjoy fighting both of DH and HoD but we are honestly the same server with different pop levels.

We can’t blob. We don’t have population. All servers did not get effected by server pairing like Darkhaven. NSP does hide in towers behind siege unless you have a map q. Then you go after the less populated server because you can not win against HOD. We continue to fight both servers. We fight HOD more because even though we do not have numbers at least they fight more than turtle.

I don’t know what time you play but this is not what I see when I’m on. We (NSP) think the exact same things about your server. We fight both servers but tend to focus the weakest one at the time to help with our ppt. It’s how you play WvW, no harm in it. Your acting like your server doesn’t do this crap too when in reality every server is basically the same.

Boo hoo, NSP went through hell for about 6 months or more of getting shaat on while slowly falling out of our i think 8th position at the time. Take your lumps and wait for the server matching to change and hope. And the NSP hate in some of these comments is ridiculous . All servers have the same problems and complaints about every other server. Just because you think we blob or suck at roaming doesn’t mean we don’t think the exact same thing of you.

Guild Siege Processing Bug - Multiple Tickets

My guild Anonymous [exe] on Northern Shiverpeaks is having an incredibly crappy bug with processing guild rams and other guild siege. We have put siege in processing but can not remove them from the queue after it has finished. Our guild leaders and officers have sent multiple reports for the past 2-3 months and have not heard anything in response. We have multiple siege items that are locked behind this bug just sitting in our processing queue which would be really great for our WvW runs.

Voted for scoring changes however I’d also like to see Commander tags to appear in front of character names again. Having the nameplates cover the commander tag can sometimes be hard to follow for newcomers in WvW.

Well i’ve read through this thread and it has yet to be established that there is any actual problem. As such I see no reason to change anything.

The vast majority of items can only be acquired by doing their associated content. There is no reason for legendary armor to be any diffent.

Want PvP armor… you must PvP
Want Chak weapons… you must play TD
Want Bladed armor… you must play VB
Want PvP mini… you must do ranked PvP
Want extra shiny PvP… you must reach the top 100 in ranked PvP
Want legendary armor… you must do raids
Want new legendary weapons… you must do all HoT content

I could go on for another 100 lines or so, but the fact is that almost ALL skins, titles, and armor in this game are tied to very specific content and can’t be acquired elsewhere. The only things that can be are base items that came with launch, and gemstore items that can be purchased with gold.

Locking skins behind certain game modes and events is fine. But when you lock stat changing items to one game mode where stat changing really doesn’t matter is completely dumb. WvWr’s need those stat changing gear due to meta shifts and build exploration.

Why do you make a WvW problem to a legendary armor problem?

there is no legendary armor problem. it’s tied to raids, so do raids to get it.

Are you EVEN reading the posts you quote?

He was basically saying “if you could buy legendary armor (or components for it) from the TP, WvW players wouldn’t be able to get them without playing PvE since they don’t have good rewards”. But isn’t that a problem in WvW with pretty much EVERYTHING that costs gold?

So I told him that his problem isn’t a legendary armor problem but a WvW problem instead.

Sure it’s a WvW problem, but locking gear that is essential for WvWrs behind arbitrary Raid completions is not something I bought this game for. Go read my larger post to understand why this decision is screwing over WvWr’s yet again.

I take it none of you guys play WvW exclusively so here’s my 2 cents. Ever since Agony Resistance became a thing this game has been blocking me from playing certain game modes. Would I love to try fractals, sure, but I don’t have the ascended pieces for the infusions as I only exclusively play WvW. I only played WvW because that’s what GW2 allowed me to do since day one. I could slowly get better though drops and buy new gear with badges of honour when there was a meta change. Since HoT came out the need to PvE for guild bonuses that greatly effect your guilds performance in WvW was a necessity. This had me farming and generally not enjoying my play time as much as I did pre-HoT.

Now with legendary armour on it’s way and it being gated behind doing Raids, ill once again be forgoing this almost necessary gear change for WvW. With the meta changing often in WvW or just the desire to occasionally tryout a new build idea I’d go basically broke trying to re-gear for my runs. The rewards in WvW are so awful that from time to time during these meta shifts I’d have to go farm content I loathe in order to be viable. The stat changing on the legendary armour is a must for WvWr’s and yet we have no option at the moment to get them through the game mode that arguably needs it the most. I don’t have a problem with skins being locked behind certain content because that indeed makes sense, but stat changing gear should definitely be not. Besides, PvE players already have tons of exclusive skins that WvW only players simply have no access to. And before you point out that stupid Mike O’Brien videos where he said that their data said WvWr’s tend to PvE a lot this is because that’s the only place where we can reliably make money to stay viable.

I hate the PvE in this game. It’s simple, and rotations can be learned in 3-4 encounters. The way I see it is Legendary armour, if they truly wanted it to be gated behind the hardest content in the game should have been locked behind either PvP or WvW where player skill and knowledge are a must to truly be good.

I’d also like the option of changing the stats in the arena from either your PvE builds or your PvP builds. This would allow your guild to test builds and combinations in the arena without having to purchase every bit of equpiment.

The guild arena size is way too small. OS was used for GvG’s prior to HoT release and that size allowed for kiting and restacking which is essential for these kinds of fights. GvG’s in this small guild arena is essentially a mess right now as some characters can hit you from across the arena. Teams with lot’s of aoe pressure can carpet the arena making it impossible to restack or avoid damage. If the arena size was closer to that of the coliseum in OS things would be better.

Can we please get some way of reporting people who don’t play in a game, type profanities and other negative things to teammates. I’ve played my fair share of PvP matches and the lack of a reporting feature is a nightmare. I’ve had back to back afks in games and no way to report their kitten. LoL, one of the most toxic communities, has one that in my opinion works quite well. We need to start temporarily banning people from PvP to slow down the toxicity of this game mode.

TL:DR Space Robots Underwater (Not Actual Robots) – Run speed at all times even while in combat, New physical look that’s class specific along with a new swim animation. Only weapon skills and heal skill. Elite transform is bound to your elite slot.

This was thought up because right now some of the Revenant Legendary Stances don’t have underwater utilites. What if with the heroes being underwater we can duel weild water weapons at the cost of utility skills. To also make combat a bit different with this enhanced spec you now get a new swim animation based on class that swims and attacks at run speed. Yes, We’ll be attacking while continuously moving at run speed. This will hopefully make the combat faster and feel more like a dogfight/gundam like.

Picture the Revenant continuously going in and out of the mist while duel wielding spears. The Warriors becomes feral underwater, they grow larger and beast like and have duel wielding claw attacks. The ranger holds onto his new pet and either wields a new gun of some kind or a new melee weapon while the pet has bleeding and immobs.

Storywise I see this new elite coming from a request to help the Largos fight back the “horrors” in the Unending Oceans. Their Largos race is slowly being corrupted and becoming intensely aggressive, unstopable and incredibly agile. We would of course agree to help but throughout the journey we soon realize with the death of a beloved character, that our underwater items and training simply don’t work down here and with this new kind of enemy.

The Largos would then have a plan where we could find the one responsible for turning their Largos friends. We decide to make a final hail mary and try to kill him. This results in us slowly turning into these Elite Specs the good Largos too if you’d like. Rytlock while turning into his revenant form hears the fallen character from before, he awakens from his hold but still in the form. As soon as he decides to attack the room erupts with a flash and the voice of the character as you regain control of your character with this new combat system. Due to you not being completely transformed you aren’t as powerful meaning you’ll have to work with other players in the new maps. You can instantly switch in and out of the form from the get go.

The new maps will be about you seeing that despite the creatures death in the evil largos still fight meaning they are being controlled by someone greater. This would lead to culmination of fighting the deep sea dragon through a map wide underwater event tha finishes with the death of the deep sea dragon. This map could be locked until the event in the previous map has completed resulting in the current map occupants the option to try attacking the deep sea dragon. A yes would teleport the into the new map and no would keep them in this instance unless a new one is decided.

This Elite Spec is accessed in game by equiping it as a underwater elite and activating it underwater. An animation would happen as your physical form shifts. After a short delay you will have a new weapon skill bar, a pretty graphic over the utilities minus healing and the Elite slot would be a toggle and animated. I think we should be able to keep this from up forever until we get attacked. At that point if it was on a stance duration appears on your bar. This could be different if people like the new combat. This elite spec in terms of traits would have lines that were just choices between weapon skill buffs. Ones that are more condi, damage, or defensive. This would offer some unique underwater matchings in pve and pvp .

Hell, make reset Thursday night. It won’t be as crowded as a Friday, and would allow a weekday opening followed by heavily populated weekend. Pushing the reset forwards rather than backwards is incredibly dumb.

What do they expect? They are drastically changing the game mode with this “simple” change. We’ve had little to no updates since release and then with the expansion and new WvW content they change the raiding schedule for guilds/ primetime weekend schedule so Fridays are basically useless in this game mode. I’m sure they appreciate the feedback we are giving them on this game mode we love and play because they certainly are showing very little knowledge/understanding of it.

Just want to clarify since I saw this come up a couple of times in this thread and we haven’t actually released our full official patch notes for 6/23 yet….

Ascended Gear will be staying 5% better than Exotic Gear. Gear beyond the tiers we already have are not going to be added and our existing tiers won’t change, they won’t be our main end-game form of progression for your characters/account for all the reasons we’ve covered before – it isn’t what we think Gw2 is about.

No. Let me repeat again. I gained my Ascended MOSTLY via WvW. Not drops, but mats for them and the mats for my jugg + a lot of gold leftover from what I did not use and threw up on TP.

As far as the crafting skills themselves go, your 1st time on 1st skills on 1st toon it can be a PITA cause you’re very short on gold when you start. So I will give anyone that. But last time I p-leveled a crafting skill on my ele it took me a whole 2 hours. Seriously. You’d have to be utterly stupid not to get it on your 2nd or 3rd time around.

Only bad thing I see is that I used a ton of skillpoints for mat conversion, which may or may not be possible any longer with the upcoming expansion. So I would advise anyone to convert now and stock up on everything.

Well I guess I’m utterly stupid for not being interested in crafting. I’ve got some up to 400 from way back when but then I realized crafting is balls and I can compete just a well in exotic armour/ ascended trinkets. I don’t want to farm mats and do world completion just to get legendaries/ascended. So I chose not to get ascended items as I didn’t need them due to the stat difference being miniscule and how I could beat someone wearing full ascended. That’s two years or more of game time that I could have spent crafting and such if it turns out ascended armours actullay do have a meaningful impact to your character.

For me, all I play is WvW (about 95% of my playtime). I rarely touch PvE leaving you a good idea of what my gold amount is at normally. The only ascended pieces I have are 2 from random drops, both of which are on my Guardian. I never really saw Ascended as necessary as I learned how to play my main characters (Guard, Warrior, Necro, Ele) quite well and would always outlive others with full ascended stats. Now however, with the stat difference getting further ahead and the WvW gold gain staying the same I feel like I’ll never get my ascended items and eventually be unable to compete. I feel like this change will force out the more casual WvW guilds that can no longer compete as well as people like myself who don’t enjoy crafting.

Hopefully with the new expansion comes new ways to gain ascended items (like the ascended thing they’ve already announced) or else I might find myself feeling useless in the only game mode I play.

But heres the thing. I used to play mainly WvW with PvE on the side as well, and managed 3 full ascended sets on 3 toons + 1 legendary, while my other 3 toons have various pieces. And this came mainly from WvW.

So I just dont know what to say. I can have them and do, you can’t and don’t.

I do not understand. If I can have the 10% or insert%here because I got ascended via mostly WvW, so can everyone else. This issue is simply not an issue. No furtehr discussions necessary.

You are saying you got a ton of those 0.01% drop or less ascended armour/weapon boxes from WvW? Yes, everyone can technically get all this from WvW but playing pve for the better gold/mat gain is a much easier. If you did get it from random loots drops in WvW then you should buy a lottery ticket. :p

10% is still miniscule
10% more stats on ascended wont make you 10% more powerful, since a huge part of your stats come from the 1000 baseline anyway.

That’s true, we’ll have to wait to see how it is in practice before I can really make a decision. I just thought this might anger a lot a players in the WvW community if they don’t implement this change properly.

Personally, this change is going to kitten me over. I’m a WvW player (95% of my time is there) and yet I only have 2 ascended items form drops on my guardian and the rest is exotic. I have an Exotic Necro, Ele, and Warrior as well. I hate crafting and stupid time sinks (map completion) and can’t stand the kittenty PvE this game has. Being a WvW’er my gold hovers around 100g due to the constant need for buying food, the changing meta, and donating gold to commanders to help for siege. I’ll never be able to get ascended items because of how I play, but now I’ll feel this 10% difference a lot more and fell less helpful to my guild and my community. I’ve played on my serious GvG and zerg busting teams and have always outlived full ascended guildmates of mine. Hopefully I still can after this patch or I might have to move on and find a new WvW game.

Siege disabler actually looks cool. It’s freaking out people that just want to karma train through WvW instead of have a strategy, which is good.

Actually it makes defensive siege worthless….so it “fill_in_blanks” the defenders.

I don’t think you understand how siege or traps work. This will be a huge benefit to defenders, not to the offensive focused people.

Meaning no disrespect but I understand Precisely how siege and traps work… and this is not a trap in the sense that the enemy trips it, rather it is referred to as a Trick by the Anet representative…….that can be AOE targeted just like a grenade from a range of a longbow (1200) with the AOE circle being around 450… if it touches your siege it is not working for 45 seconds…. so Clearly this is BAD for the defenders…. and actually quite good for the mindless zerg wanting to take down a T3 tower…..

In my opinion this actually makes it harder to defend and I suspect a lot of the players will think hard about whether it is worth bothering to spend the time and money buying and building siege.

This is good and bad for both attackers and defenders. Defenders to counter this would need to place ac’s and other siege in places the tricks can’t reach. Attackers, in my opinion, now have it worse. A single guy with 10 supply can stop 5 rams or catas (maybe 10) from firing for 40 seconds. That guy could then go back get more supply and throw another trick once the siege is active again. This would make defending easier. And since its a thrown trick all you have to do is step on the walls edge and toss.

300 gold for a tag color is too much

I think that 300g is appropriate, but that color changing should be inherent to the new tags.

Are you a PvE player or a WvW player? 300g for PvEr’s is definitely appropriate. A few dungeon runs and some world bosses you should have 300g in a few days, maybe a week. I play WvW exclusively, I find PvE boring, and I have never had over 150g over the two years I’ve played. The constant sigil and armour changes due to WvW meta and guild meta changing, the purchases of food and stones and other buffs to help out your server, as well as the cost for upgrading camps and buying siege/upgrading siege. All of these eat away at WvWr’s gold quite fast.

Where to start spending Ability points?

I went the line that allows you to recover supply, then guard stacks. Offensive and Defensive guard stacks are the best lines to put points into as they give you insanely high boosts when you finish them. Then I go for siege bunker as I’m usually a rammer for doors. After that I put them wherever they are needed. If you want to use siege more effectively put them into one of those, or if you want to carry more supplies you can start doing that now.

As it has been said before, this price increase is too much for WvW only players. I’ve been playing WvW with a guild group for the past year or so. I’ve never had over 150g at time due to equipment meta changes, siege and upgrade costs, as well as how terrible WvW is for accumulating gold.

Using badges and maybe WvW ranks for a specific WvW only tag would be much more beneficial to the WvW community.

I love when BP is inside our (SBI) Citadel on our BL. It’s just wonderful. Killing all those NPC’s and picking off stragglers who thought they were in a safe zone. What can you guys tell me about the [Slay] guild?

Considering we have a fraction of the WvW population of the other two servers I was really enjoying holding the bottom half of BD borderlands…

I knew it would come to an end but I didn’t expect the late night crew to blatantly exploit.

Just fought about 50 DB on their borderlands, 1:40 am eastern time.

Can you explain to me how you were able to shoot past our bridge with arrow carts in hills?

If I’m wrong just show me where you place carts to do that, and how you AOE the Tower Lord from on the ground as well.

Running the game in ultra high resolutions such as surround will, give you a higher depth of targeting area. Also there are points that allow you to target past the gate and not have the arrow cart shoot on the gate.

If you are talking about arrow carts coming from hills when we took lake. We didn’t have any ac built. We trebbed all your siege, inside lake, from hills, while 3 catas decimated your gate from the tunnel.

It was actually when DB was taking Hills. The long bridge leading to the lords hall was getting ac’d to the entrance. Inside was also getting ac’d before DB even broke through the inner gate. Others took screen shots, I’m sure they’ll be up soon. Unfortunately I was too busy healing to grab any screens.
