Title, I’m currently returning to Gw2 to get into things, and start preparing for the expac, as I plan to play a deadeye.

I have a few 80s(I believe that’s the max level, been quite some time.) and I’d like to start looking for a guild to call home.

I’m into PvE, however I’m not against WvW, but I have a strong dislike for PvP.

I enjoy helping others, talking to others, and in general just playing the game I love with some great folks.

Title says it all, I’ve been waiting for a while to get this helm to complete my custom armor set. But I just have no idea when to expect it to make an appearance.

No, the damage difference is so small it practically wont matter. However a full raid team having it will increase dps by quite a bit. But If anything, go for ascended weapons and trinkets, everything else is just to small of a difference to worry about imo

Seriously, having a bad day, walk into queensdale. Someone drops a box o fun, and everyone pitches in and we goof around. Here’s a example.

Title says it all, I’m going for 100% map completion for a legendary. However I just spent 7 hours on 4 maps, and that’s ridiculous. I run everything as fast as I can, I’m a daredevil. Any tips to complete maps faster?

So first lets get started off on this.

1. What are good ways to make gold? I had a lot of gold before I left, but It’s gone.
2. What classes are strong/weak right now? I was thinking of playing thief, is so, what are the main stats? Because I have a couple of ascended gear to use, like prec, power, ferocity.
3. Is there anything major I missed? Any breaking news happen the past yeaR?
4. What are good way to get ready for raiding? I’ve been told you won’t be accepted unless you have full ascended, but I only have about 4 pieces, which it will take forever to get a full set.
5. Any ideas on where to look for guilds? Kinda silly, but it’s been so long.
6. What does boosting a character to 80 give? Item wise.
7. Lastly, back again at thief, I see that it does the most damage, but i’m interested in it because of stealth/high dps. Is there a recent guide someone could link?

I myself am thinking about getting into making cinematics, nothing major, but something to give a shot and maybe take it further if I enjoy it. However I was curious as to what program gw2 used to make their cinematic, or maybe a game like WoW’s trailers.

PS: I know making a trailer that great is impossible for one guy, but my imagination is huge, so i could make a lot of silly things. Thanks guys!

After the last build, a bug developed where some players’ options were resetting. I know in my case, my “auto-loot” option went away, and my choice to not show the Personal Story reset to show the story by default. Nothing major, but a bit noticeable. (In another case, someone got to the end of a jumping puzzle and learned that the double-tap reactivated on his account and he fell to an untimely and messy death. )

Anyway, we wanted you to know that a fix for this issue is being tested right now, and once it passes all the necessary checks and validations, we’ll be rolling out this fix to make sure your settings stay set.

The JP honestly isn’t that hard. Yes, it takes patience. But finishing it is more rewarding if you have to work for it. It’s definitely doable. On the other hand, if you have a dexterity issue due to some medical condition, then I understand the frustration. :\

After you do it a few times, honestly it’s super easy. I’m farming the puzzle so I can sell gifts for gold. I’ve got about over 1k gifts =)

I did the jp puzzle a few times and got 5k per, question is since I got an achievement for the puzzle, will i no longer receive 5k karma? I’m getting 1k per run at. (i’ve completed it 95 times and counting….

The wintersday jp, just curious if the rewards are remotely worth what im going through. I enjoy it, just curious what the reward is

So I looked at my transactions, but none of my items are selling for 44s, however for the past hour I’ve been getting 44s from the tp, any ideas as to why?

Heyo, so I made a post a week or two ago about how to play the tp. I took all your advice and I’ve made about 200g, (giving a friend 100g so he could finish up his legendary) and I was wondering what markets are good to play, I understand the whole patience, buy low sell high thing. But the only market I’ve found viable so far is superior runes, and this 1 certain crest. Would dyes be good? Armor? Great swords? Also, for profit, whats you minimum profit you’re willing to make? Mines 10 silver and I’m not sure if that’s to greedy or should I be willing to play lower markets. Thank you so much guys!

Btw, if your one of those people(not a bad thing) who would like to mail me in-game the info, that’s fine. I tend to see that people don’t like spreading their markets, but a few told me some in private. Also, I have about 35g atm, not including the items that haven’t sold.

PS: I’m actually hoping to make some good gold, I plan on being a Santa the day before Christmas, giving away lots of stuff.(I literally enjoy Christmas more than my own birthday lol.) but the way I’m going, I doubt I’ll be able to gift a lot of players.

WAaaaaaaaaaait, you’re saying gw2 should learn from one the biggest grind mmos today? gw2- farm ascended gear and never need to grind endgame gear again.
wow- grind for weeks to get top notch raid gear, pay tons of gold to gem slot, just to have it all invalid in a few months.

Also, gw2 should not have more spells, while I do understand that having a lot of spells is nice at times, this is the one of the most casual mmos you can play. I don’t think gw2 is for you just by what i’ve read.

The one thing that I did like about WoW though was the questing somewhat, It always had a story to it, as in gw2 your helping farmers or killing centaurs just “Cuz” however keep in mind, WoW had 3 strategy games to build up it’s story. So of course the story is 100x better imo.

I can play part of the tp well, every day when I get home from school I have about 10-15 orders filled, but my issue is selling, I’ll almost instantly be undercut and relisting will cost about 10-20silver to just be undercut again. What suggestions would you recommend for selling successfully? Should I focus on items that are are in high demand so they sell very fast? That’s the only thing I can think of, thanks guys!

This is the only peace I need to complete my personal mix and match armor set, however I wasn’t looking for the helm when it was here. Does anyone know when it was last in the gem store, and when it may come back?

Can this be a thing? I’m tired of having to change my armor color because a white bow looks absolutely silly with a twilight weapons, and a shadow abyss armor. I mean, it wouldn’t take that much effort to do. What are your thoughts? I’d like this, kinda wish it’d be accessible by gold, but I’m willing to pay some gems to dye my weapon.

You don’t have to share “your” markets, but some tips on where to start would be great.

Make sure that its not in your wardrobe, bank, or on any other character. If you do and still can’t find it, It would be best to submit a ticket about it, however since it was a while ago, they will need as much information to help you. Keep in mind it’s extremely hard to dig up something on a account that happend a while ago, so don’t get your hopes up. However if you provide good information they may be able to help you.

It’s hard to help you without knowing what specific armor, look up hellfire armor or Citadel of Flame armor and tell me if either of those ring a bell

Why on earth would devs respond to unreasonable people who are only going to bash on them if they try to communicate? Also, insulting the player base? All the forums have been is constant complaints, negativity, etc. But calling them complainers is insulting, maybe you should take a break from the internet if that’s offensive. Thanks

Let’s see. Why would the devs use their official forums to communicate?

1. This is the place the company for which they speak has chosen as its official message board.
2. Seeing as how their company owns this message board, they also have the means to moderate posts that violate their terms of use.
3. Because it looks unprofessional and extremely scattered to leave important information strewn all over the internet.
4. This is where their customers, who own the game, are led to believe news and announcements will be made, on account of the whole subforum named exactly that.
5. Because this is where they work, and posting to Reddit doesn’t shield them from criticism, so why not post here?

I genuinely don’t understand why their self-moderated forum gets the cold shoulder and people are rushing to defend that decision, like Reddit is somehow a safe-haven for them in a way they cannot create here. Is Reddit part of some unknown complaint-free zone on the internet? Are only mature and reasonable people allowed to post there? How have I missed such a place? Please. Explain this to me.

I’m not gonna go back and forth with you, but i’ll leave it at this. I honestly don’t agree that devs don’t post on the forums and it’s annoying, but the amount of people who are hostile about them posting on reddit right not is kinda silly, I understand we all want them to post here, but HoT caused a lot of angry players to post on forums, mouthing how much they hate the game, the company, games dying, etc. All I’m saying is I doubt they will post on the forums regularly until players put their pitchforks down. It’s their decision to not post on the forums, and instead reddit, It sucks and I hate it, as a customer I wish they’d talk to us more, but things really don’t always go the way you want em to.

PS: I’m not trying to be a jerk by any means, but the main point is it’s the devs decision, you can’t force them to post on the offical forums(Or can we)

Hi, this may not be what you are looking for but I thought it couldn’t hurt to pitch an invitation. A few friends and I just created a guild. We have a vision for what we want to do with the guild but we really just need people to help us build and shape our guild. We already set up some of the ground structure to help maintain the guild. Honestly the guild name / ranks / whole premise is a little um, much for my personal tastes.

Likewise the only way id join a group is if i get to help decide on a name name it, get to help be a part of making the website, get to help on the discussion of what voice chat to use, etc .I want to be a founding member, not just someone who joins right afterward.. I’m not interested at all in joining a guild that is already set up.

Seriously, we get it that most people are not happy with hot, there’s always gonna be issues with a expansion in any game or any game release. Its only been about a month and people are complaining about everything. Give it another month or two to smooth out, arenanet may not respond but they do read our complaints. When has a game release or expansion for anything gone smooth? I remember in wow when data came out I couldn’t get in for a day. What has happened to us? We us to be such loving community. Give the devs some time, mistakes happen and hopefully they learn from it. Stay strong my guild war friends, bad times come to pass but not stay. Also in this topic, be productive. If all your gonna do is say the game sucks and not give and valid reasons why, leave the game. We will be just fie without your toxic mouth here. Post what you like about gw2, or liked, and say why.if the game can improve give some thoughts how in how. If you don’t like something say why. So like a pro and con topic. Thanks guys. Yea, phalanx helm is what I saw that one guy have, but I can’t seem to find phalanx, I suppose it’s not in the gemstore.

Head is dark templar from karma merchants or you can craft it

Chest is banded which is loot in the 54-80 range

Also legs ,gloves, boots tier 3 human cultural and shoulders tier 2 human cultural

Hi there, I searched the internet for a little over an hour for you, but I couldn’t find a guide that takes the things you asked for into consideration. Though you shouldn’t be expecting to make money back using the cheapest leveling guide. The site you provided is actually the site I use to level crafting, I’ve checked for 4 hours on my own a while back and I couldn’t find a better guide, most guides I find don’t list how much it costs or how much each item is. Your best bet is to use the “long” guide for the site you gave us.

So your saying new content that is hard, and OPTIONAL is going to ruin the game? That’s like saying adding more legendaries will ruin the game because you need lots of gold to make them. You don’t have to raid, no one said you had to, it’s for players who want to dedicate themselves to something complicated but rewarding. Right, so lets make sure to tell anet to stop trying to make money off the gemstore, because they don’t charge us monthy sub, the game is free to play, but hey. Who needs to make money as a company? The amount of people complaining about this is hilarious, and those who do are probably broke ingame and want everything handed to them. Seriously stop complaining about the gemstore, YOU don’t need to buy anything from it, it’s not necessary to play the game, if you buy gems ITS YOUR decision. If you have an issue making gold and blame the gem store for being your only way, then oh boy are you wrong, I can make an average 400-500g a day If I spend all day farming(though that’s unlikely) Ever since nerfs, I’ve easily found old content that’s stupid good to farm. Just stop complaining and play the game, if you are going to be an attention kitten and follow “Lets post ANOTHER topic about the gemstore” then just leave the game, we don’t need another person causing chaos in the forums.

Anyway, didn’t mean to make this sound so brutal, but seriously, stop complaining about the gemstore, it’s literally their only source of income, other than buying the game.

I made a warrior in 2013, and I loved the class to death, I loved the damage and all the spell animations, my question is, before I make a warrior, are they even viable dps? I’d plan on going GS/duel axes. And if you say they’re bad or good, leave a decent definition, not just “warriors suck dont bother”
