Necromancer is my favorite class aesthetically, but I have more fun when I’m playing my warrior. Based on what you usually play, I’d say Warrior should be right up your alley.
Just create a character and level them to 10 or so and you should get a good feel for the profession and if it suits you.

Yes please!
While I would much prefer the ability to sit in a chair that is already in-game, I would absolutely LOVE to have a chair I could pull out and sit on anywhere!
I’m a Role player, and I’d love to sit around a table for RP.
I’m an avid PvPer, and I’d love to pull out a chair and sit on my vanquished foes!
I’m a PvEer, and I’d love to take out a chair and sit while I’m waiting on someone for a dungeon!
Also, I’d absolutely love it if the chair had skills! 1-9 could be used for different sitting positions! While a few of my characters would sit in the chair very appropriately, I have others who’d lean forward, cross their legs, throw a leg over the arm rest as they relax, and other such things!
If this game to the gem store, I’d buy it IMMEDIATELY!

I neeeeed a Cantha expansion!
We need this expansion, do not deny us the rest of the world you made us fall in love with in GW1!

I use that hair on my Necro.
The medium-length is is indeed OP though.

You’re absolutely right! Those poor, poor Seperatists!
Oh, well, except for how they will attack any Charr-Loving member of ANY race ON SIGHT.
Forget everything political for a moment and dwell on that one point. They are willing to KILL anybody who approves of the Charr, even the Asura, Norn, and Sylvari that have absolutely nothing to do with the past War.
And you say it was like dragging them out of their homes and murdering them on the streets? I hope that’s how it was intended, because that’s how I pictured it.

Nudity is bad and you should feel bad.
Nudity is fine in the confines of your own home, but it certainly isn’t needed in any way, shape, or form in an MMORPG.
If you want nudity in your game, here’s some choices for you :
1)Age of Conan
2) Therapy

There are these two, strange black lines that stick out of the top skull. This is visible to others around me as well.
Oddly enough, the lines aren’t visible from behind.

EDIT: As strangely as it appeared, the issue is gone. Able to dye again and remove the item without crashing. Very strange.
I’m leveling a thief, and since yesterday I noticed that I cannot dye my coat piece.
When I dye it in the dye window, it shows my desired dye job, but once I close the window nothing happens. The coat remains not dyed. I just shrugged it off, and continued playing for the rest of the day.
Today I tried again, and it didn’t work. I changed to a different coat and tried to dye again, still nothing. I then unequipped my coat by dragging/dropping into my inventory, thinking it would probably fix it. The game crashed as soon as I dropped it into my inventory. I logged back in, put the coat back on, and it still will not dye.
I even switched to a different character to try and replicate the issue. My Necromancer can dye his armor and take off his shirt without issue. Switched back to my thief, and still couldn’t do anything.

I was thinking the same thing the moment I seen the Griffon. I NEED it to survive!

let me start by saying that I very much love the armor sets in GW2. They’re all very varied and interesting.
Now to the “but”. I mained a Necromancer in GW1, and I really, REALLY, liked a particular armor look back then. In fact, it was the only armor I wore once I got it. In fact, I owned all three of the sets below for my different builds.
Elite Necrotic Armor
Asuran Armor
Elite Luxon Armor
I loved the cowls that obscured the face, simply loved them. I would love for these armors (or similar armors) to be added into the game. I can even see this particular look working for each armor type.
To A-Net, I say : Please consider adding old Armor sets to GW2.
To the Players who read this , I ask : What are some armor sets you miss from GW1? Would you like to see those implemented into GW2? Is something similar to your favorite GW1 armor already in GW2?

Dragoon, I need this sooooooo bad.
I can just see myself tapping my 5 skill, selecting my AoE spot, clicking, and my Dragoon leaping high into the air and landing on the shoulders of my enemies.

I thought the exact same thing (in regards to Grenth and Dwayna battling for control of the season) and it makes sense, because the Gods have been silent for a while now.
I’m sure that, in the future (expansion probably) the Gods will return, and at that time Dwayna and my main man, Grenth, will return to their old quarrels.

I got the two achievements from just playing the game without focusing on achievements, as Support. What are you doing wrong?
The Unofficial NA Roleplaying Server!
Awesome, at least I wont have the misfortune of playing with such a bad attitude player.

- A lot of the map is wasted. It would be nice if there were some floating platforms between the two spawns, for example, so that players have a risky but viable “shortcut” when they need to run from one spawn to the other to intercept the enemy present carrier.
I take it you missed the shortcut that’s already there.

Wow. Simply amazing. Very well done.
I especially love the way you did the date display. And featured on the GW2 Facebook page: very nice, good sir.

The recipes are still in the Mystic Forge, but you had better get the ingredients while they’re still available (though I’m sure that won’t be an issue).
I farmed up Nougats and Candy Corn for when I have the money to buy the Wine to craft the recipe for The Crossing.

Here’s my feedback on the event.
Halloween 2012
Likes
- More stuff to do!
-More crafting opportunities.
-More titles to get.
-A dungeon!
-Mad King Says is my favorite thing ever. Has been since my first GW1 Halloween. - Fun PvP Game types
-I really liked the “Hide-n-Seek” game type (inquisition?). - Fun new Events and Quests
-I enjyed going from Zone to zone to look for the book pages. - Good story
-Mad King Thorn is my favorite fictional character ever, and I really enjoyed the story of him being flushed out. - Holiday Items
-The BLC Outfits look very cool. I hope that they’re available next year.
-The Witch hat may not be the coolest hat ever made, but I look forward to collecting all the holiday hats.
-The weapon skins are very awesome. I NEED to get my hands on The Crossing.
Dislikes
- Jumping Puzzle
-Needs Single player instances
-Camera would bug out when bumping debris.
Suggestions
- Add a Holiday Hat Maker, just like in GW1, where any character on my account can pick up Hats that I’ve already collected. This way we will also save bank space when we start collecting hats from future Halloweens, Christmas, and New Years.
- More weapon and armor skins. Perhaps add some that are easier to get.

I gave up on that blasted tower, but not because I failed over and over and over again.
I gave up because, when I failed, I had to wait to attempt it again. Then when I did attempt it again, so did twenty other people, which made it very hard to see the actual jumping course especially with Norn, Charr, and the Camera bugging out when it bumped into a piece of debris.
With most other jump puzzles, when I fail, I can run back and try again quickly (WvW jumping puzzles excluded from the “quickly” statement). The jumping puzzles also aren’t littered with other players blocking my view.
Maybe next year I’ll be able to do it, but this year I could not get far.
This is not to say it’s bad. Not at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the difficulty, I just wish it had a single-player instance to do it. Please Josh, keep up the good work.

Wow, very impressive, ANet. I’ve not seen customer support of that magnitude…ever.

this is so funny ive never read something this original before /sarcasm
chuck norris much?
[sarcasm]You don’t say? I thought I was so original! [/sarcasm]
And yes. I’m glad it was that obvious to you. If you don’t enjoy it, you did not need to post. I’m sure there’s others who could get a good laugh from this, as that is the point of this thread. I’m not thinking I’m a genius for recycling Chuck Norris Facts, I’m just applying it to a Boss in in the game that people think is incredibly difficult to fight.

Everyone knows about the Fire Elemental in the Metrica Province. Here’s some little known facts that might give you an edge. Feel free to add any facts that you may know.
Fire Elemental does not have a chin under his fire. Only more fire.
When Fire Elemental does push ups, he’s actually pushing the world down, then setting you on fire.
The Inquest checks under their beds at night for the Fire Elemental.
Before going missing, Snaff gave Fire Elemental a mean look.
It is convenient to be near a hospital when you are injured. It is also convenient to start the Fire Elemental event after digging yourself a grave.
Fire Elemental does not approve of sharing this fact. But it does approve of a smiley.

I like to have a lot of freedom with the Guild ranks, that’s why I really like that we can have custom ranks.
But I would like to be able to create more ranks. Ten ranks is a good amount, but how about being able to make enough ranks to fill the Ranks window? Nothing game-breaking, nothing too extensive, just approximately 5-10 more ranks.
I know that some Guilds will like to have a custom rank for each officer, RP guilds will want extra ranks for extra RP fun, and some people may want extra ranks to have various branches within the guild (PvE branch, WvW branch, Crafting Branch).
For me, personally, I use the branches in my RP Guild. I have three branches, but with only ten ranks, I can only have three ranks per branch, plus the leader rank. Even a couple more ranks would be real nice.
I may not know a whole lot (or anything) about programming, but this seems like it wouldn’t be too much of a big deal to implement (or at least I hope not).
As for the players who will reply to this: What do you think? Does more ranks seem like a good idea? Bad idea? Got an alternative?
