This is the single biggest flaw of the entire event and needs to be promptly addressed before it ends.
I mean screw everyone who had a 5 man party ready to run on voice comms, right guys? Let’s just let a bunch of random players come and go as they please during one instance.
On the bright side, at least we weren’t forced to run this instance to get the event title.

It probably has to be a portal to a new area in the Mad King’s world, because currently we can only explore 3 out of 4 areas for the achievement. I’m assuming you will only get the “Attend the Party” achievement if you are in the event area around the LA statue at a certain time during the start of Act 3.
Came here to see if this had already been posted, no surprise that it has. I completely agree that this mode should be a permanent part of the game. There is really no good reason why it shouldn’t be; we have Keg Brawl in Hoelbrak and IMO, Reaper’s Rumble is substantially more fun that both KB and SPvP.
This thread / suggestion deserves an official ArenaNet response so I am hereby bumping for great justice.
The big problem with it is the rendering issue that the game has as a result of players being stacked in one place, which also seems to cause skill input lag – so it makes brawl frustrating when you keep missing your skills and invisible people are fearing you.
It’s probably a safe bet that the skins from this year’s event will be “retired” after it ends.
I wouldn’t be too worried about the overall concept of getting special loot from Black Lion chests going anywhere though, it is certainly an easy and apparently successful way for them to pull in more revenue at the least.
Costumes should remain as town clothes, though there should be an option implemented to override your armor appearance with that of your town clothes.
This would have to be disabled in SPvP and WvW; however, it could still only render clientside for the player so that enemies are not confused by the costumes.
I suppose it’s normal behavior as green to wipe an assault from red in the blue server’s keep and then pack up and leave after meanwhile inner gate is 10% health. My mistake, carry on.
Nice work defending Darkhaven’s keep Maguuma, really subtle crossrealming there.
I’m trying for a crit build on my Guardian, but why even bother when two sources of critical hit rate are 100% not working?
I have a Superior Sigil of Accuracy on my torch offhand, and it has NO EFFECT at all on my critical chance stat.
Also, the trait Right Hand Strength[XI] in the Guardian Radiance tree is supposed to add 15% crit chance when one-handed weapons are equipped, and currently it adds a whopping… 0%.
I see two possibilities, they are
A) The stat modifications are working, but don’t change the stat on the hero window (so fix that)
B) The stat modifications don’t work at all (so definitely fix that).
The game’s been out for over a month, it is really unacceptable to have things like this still broken.

Fireheart Rise, Burnt Hollow Skill Point missing – Northern Shiverpeaks server
This location is missing the NPC or commune shrine that is supposed to be there, its keeping me from completing the map. A server restart, or even a GM intervening could fix this I’d imagine, not sure what would be done to reproduce this bug though. If GMs have the power to reset mobs or interactive objects, please send one over there to do so asap, thanks.
At 600 gems per tab, bank expansions cost 20 gems (600/30) per slot.
Account wide so you only need to buy it once.
At 400 gems per tab, with a 20 slot bag, bag slots also cost 20 slots per gem, but only if you don’t count the cost of the bag itself, which is about 20 times the cost of the slot.
So bag slots are overpriced or bank slots are underpriced depending on how you look at it.
The account wide or character only doesn’t really matter, you should be more focused on how much storage you get for your currency because you can always move items over to another character’s inventory.
Personally, haven’t had a good reason to buy any bag slots yet but got 4 or 5 bank tabs using gems bought with gold.

Why not just make all armor you buy with the tokens account bound as well, rather not farm the same set twice.
I usually only stop to do events if it will help me complete a heart on a map.
On a game that has over 1 million players, did you really expect to randomly see the one guy playing on the one character that has the name you wanted? Not to mention if you did happen to see the guy who took the name, he also has at least 4 other characters he could be playing.
Other games that you’ve played where the name was taken, chances are the guy who took it had probably uninstalled and quit playing already.
They used to reveal parts of the map permanently in beta but I don’t really miss it anyway never used them much.
Scamming is generally when someone tricks you into giving them in-game money or your account info under false pretenses.
Not to rule out that you could still get scammed by gold sellers as well, which is the main reason why game companies are against it, because a lot of gold sellers are untrustworthy and also use stolen accounts to farm their gold.
I would estimate transfers won’t be free anymore once the 2 week long WvW matches start, to prevent the servers from becoming really unbalanced like they have been due to mass amounts of guilds transferring around.
Yeah. Completely tired of loot bags dropping butter about 80% of the time. Also chocolate seems to be about 10% of the time too so that leaves just a remaining 10% on the drop table for craft materials anyone actually wants to get.

Os is looking to expand our roster with players from Northern Shiverpeaks interested mainly in WvW and running PvE instances. We do not have plans to be competitive in SPvP at this stage in the game; However, once the initial leveling rush is over with, this may be something our members become more interested in pursuing. For those interested in knowing where you may stack up with the rest of us in level, we currently have more than 10 of around 60 members at level 80, and a much larger percentage are over level 50.
Our experience as a guild spans several years in other MMO titles such as…
- Cabal Online – April 2008- September 2009 – Mercury Server – Well known for our members skilled in open world PK, nation war, and world boss hunting.
- Aion Online – September 2009 – September 2011 – Azphel / New Zikel Server – Known for abyss PvP and smaller yet strong parties for fort sieges.
A handful of members have spent shorter periods of time in other games such as Requiem, LoL, WoW, Allods, Silkroad, Warcraft 3, and more.
If you are looking for a guild with a solid structure and multiple officers and administrators with years of experience and expertise in playing and leading in MMOs, you are reading the right thread! We invite you to register on our forum at http://osguild.us/forum (Please excuse the Aion theme). We are openly recruiting, however you will not become a full-fledged member until you have a forum account as well as an account on our Ventrilo server.
Currently, we are not very strict about multi-guilding, however if we notice you haven’t represented the guild in a week we may remove you from the roster to make room for more dedicated recruits. You will also be less likely to be removed from the roster if you have taken the proper steps to become a full member as mentioned above and remain active on Vent while ingame.
Send a PM to anyone on the list below for more information or a guild invite, otherwise you can also post a short membership application on our forum.
In order of most likely to be online…

As others have already said, you need to use transmutation stones to re-skin the armor a second or even third time. Although, it seems like a pretty blatant cash-grab and I think the gem store skins should function exactly like the Hall of Monuments’ heritage armor skins do with unlimited re-skinning for free. All that needs to be done is implementing a new bank tab which stores your purchased skins and lets you withdraw them an unlimited number of times.
Are those Transmutation Stones character bound? ‘Cause it doesn’t seem like it would be too terribly onerous to just make an alt to 100% one of the starting cities when you need a Transmutation. Takes hardly any time at all, really.
I’m sure they are account bound as they can be stored in the bank. Deleting and re-creating characters to get the stones would work, but in any event you can’t use them to reskin onto a level 80 item because you need the more expensive version of the transmutation stones to do so. These can only be bought with gems or randomly drop from Black Lion chests AFAIK.

They don’t want suggestions posted in this forum and this will probably get locked, but I agree duels would be nice as well as guild v guild matches.
I’d recommend limiting yourself to 2 crafts per character… you won’t waste money swapping out to different crafts this way, it gets rather expensive – especially at level 400.
However, if you only want to use one for leveling and don’t plan on using it again after that, you could do so but just swap to a different one at level 0 and it won’t cost you a thing. It only costs money to switch to a craft which you already have experience in.
Yep it sure is, the thing that takes the longest is salvaging 500 items…
Hi everyone,
There’s currently a bug that’s preventing some guilds from upgrading their guild when your guild has 10 ranks defined. We’re working on fixing this asap, but in the meantime would like to share a workaround: go to your Roles tab and delete one of those ranks; you should then have 9 ranks) and be able to upgrade again.
Sorry about that and thanks for your understanding!
I think this just might be the fix we were looking for, thanks a lot Stephane
Easy fix guys… remove WvW player caps.
(well maybe not that easy – I’m not sure what kind of servers would be required.)
Then servers that just happen to have a few hundred or thousand more pvpers than their competing servers logged in at any given time would have a huge advantage in WvW and basically steamroll through the map claiming every structure. Not the best idea.
It’s not about the hardware being able to handle it, its about balance so that one server isn’t far stronger just because they have more numbers.

Really depends if the armor is soulbound on acquire or if it’s account bound with soulbinding on equip. If it’s account bound you could always buy the armor on an alt character that chooses priory and transfer it to your main through the bank.
Casters definitely have an unfair advantage in zerg v zerg, but in small group pvp I think melee classes excel much more.
I doubt it, since ArenaNet values their personal story system. Being able to change your character’s appearing at a whim could diminish immersion.
Get real man, this is a business. They know that stuff like a character remodel or rename kit are usually the top selling digital goods in most other MMOs and they surely aren’t going to lose out on that profit based on the principle of preserving immersion.
Nobody is forcing anyone to change their character’s appearance but they wouldn’t deny the opportunity to someone who would want to do so, especially if they could make 10 or 15 dollars each time.

I think Precision with sword/torch is the most important trait line. You can really do good burst damage with the number 4 skill on torch if you crit. The meditation healing seems lackluster in WvW, only really comes in handy in 1v1 or 2v2 fights. You’d be better off with more vitality to survive zerg PvP.
I’ve tried out using all shouts in my utility skills and you end up getting slowed and dotted by rangers and necros anyway once stand your ground wears off, so if you’re outnumbered you’re pretty much always going to die anyway.
(edited by Illicit.2749)
I have heard GW1’s max was 32 or something along those lines so it may be around there.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it were 40 though like GummiBear said so you could have every combination of class and race if you really wanted to invest $350 into character slots.
Traits can be reset by purchasing another Skill Manual from your profession trainer.
They serve the dual purpose of unlocking Trait tiers and resetting current traits.
No no no no no no no.
Technically he’s half right, but please don’t listen to this guy unless you want to spend 2 gold to respec every time at level 60+. Frankly, I’m not even sure it will let you use a book twice anyway on one character but it’s not worth finding out.
It actually will only cost you 4 silver per re-spec at level 80 if you talk to a trait NPC and click the second option under the one that lets you buy the books.
Wouldn’t see why not… they just need to work on more important things in the game currently. Functionality takes precedence over cosmetics. If I remember correctly it took almost a year for Aion to have plastic surgery tickets and gender change in their shop.
PvE end game pretty much consists of farming either of the two level 80 maps and going to kill dragons every 3 hours. Or farming the hardmode instances for the currency to buy the gear in LA. Gearing out a level 80 shouldn’t be that long and painful of a process. But honestly I’d rather level alts than PvE on an 80 all day. I think the fun of this game is learning how every class works so you can play more effectively against them in WvW or SPvP.
It actually might be too early for you to start crafting. You’ll level up pretty quickly with materials you’ve already collected and then once you get to the second and third tier you won’t have enough materials unless you spend a few gold on the trading post. Best time to craft is like level 60 imo because you will have collected a significant amount of mats by then as long as you have been salvaging and mining/gathering while playing up to that level.
I have the same issue as Valaris.1324. On Saturday 8/25 I double-clicked my Tome of Influence, and no influence was added to my guild.
(I would open a support ticket, but I can’t login to that for some reason)
Your support account is a completely different account from your gw2 game account. If you’ve played other games published by NCsoft in the past, use the same credentials you used to open support tickets for those games.
Yeah, it could be argued that people crafting in town are even less helpful than Yak farmers were before the event was disabled. At least the people running Yaks will probably run to a nearby battle on the map (that is if they aren’t bots), whereas people in town crafting are doing nothing but taking up a slot on the map.
On my first run through of this quest, an enemy mob got stuck inside of the rock created by the first tower being destroyed. Because it was impossible to kill this mob in the rock, Tonn would not be triggered to proceed to the next part of the quest because all mobs in the area had not been eliminated to trigger that event. I simply exited the instance area and tried again and it worked fine the second time around.
Os Guild [Os] on Northern Shiverpeaks is having problems with upgrading our roster from the default 50 members to 100+ members. We have more than enough active members, the problem is with the guild registrar NPC not accepting our payment to upgrade the roster. The NPC says we are ready to upgrade. When we confirm we want to pay to upgrade, it says the upgrade was a success; however nothing changes and we are still capped at 50 members (the NPC does not take the 1 silver for the upgrade either).
Everything else is working fine with our guild, except the guild emblem not showing for some people on the guild menu, which is a screen resolution issue I guess, because I can see it fine on my laptop but not on my desktop.
It would be nice for a GM to contact us in-game and directly assist us in fixing our guild, we have contacted support multiple times and they have been of absolutely no help whatsoever. The most they have done is written back a few copy/paste responses and one response saying they are aware of this particular issue and have no ETA on a fix for it, which is simply not good enough. We are growing very impatient because this issue is really killing our recruiting when we don’t have enough space to invite more members, not to mention also not gaining as much influence as we should be because our roster is capped.
