Anet destroyed the game with that condi mess. Roaming isn’t fun anymore with such OP Condis right now. Condi is lowest skillfloor, unfair and not fun.
It’s basically only people in squad can see tag.
Some guilds like to run only with their own people and dont want pugs. But by not tagging up they lost some ability like Lt. or using markers.
This also will make a harder job for tag watching.

Come across an enemy, hit them and watch them take next to no damage.
They hit me? Watch me lose a 1/4+ of my health.

Apparently, I suck at PvP so kitten ed much that I can’t get anywhere near a fight without getting ganked by some other player who, for some reason has to take the time to jump up and down on my corpse just to drive the point home of how much better they are.
I don’t want to win all the time, believe it or not. I just want to put up a decent fight, not just feed these apparent uber-leet pro kids loot bags all the kitten ed time and get the usual ‘HAHA YOU SUK!’ pages vomited at me.

Eotm has been there for quite awhile and it was a basically a beta test for new things to implement in WvW but now it just sits there and count toward servers populations. If you go in to Eotm all you see is K-trains and that doesn’t sound like beta test to me. SO why not get rid of it?

The more divergence you add to the game in terms of modes, the more difficult changes to the game become to manage, and the more confusing shifts between game modes become to players. Some skills are already scaled differently in PvP vs PvE, separate stats may “fix” game balance issues, but will introduce a whole new can of worms.
As a knight / tank class it should never have been given abilities like teleports, traps, and a bow.
That’s what happens when there isn’t a strict traditional guideline for a class like what happens in the trinity system(tank healer dps). You end up with classes being given access to things they shouldn’t traditional have, classes are given things to be frontline and backline. Eventually the elite specs will just dilute the skills to every class.

I hope, this patch makes more people realize now, that this game has reached by long already the point, where it needs a completely different approach of balancing, than only permanent Skill/Trait Changes…
That Skill/Trait Changes alone are no solution – this patch just shows perfectly that Anet seems to be so out of ideas with their own game, that they just only powercreep mostly all classes morte, in the hope, this will make “most” people just happy.
This Game is in an absolute toxic red alert state when it comes down to its Boons and Conditions especially.
Skill and Trait Changes there won’t solve this. Game Mechanic Changes and updating the Combat System will do – Skill & Trait Changes are made then AFTER to finetune the made changes on the gameplay mechanics, so that the made changes on the mechanics harmonize again with the skills and traits – motor and oil, motor and oil. Give the motor finally renewed oil and the game will run again, like freshly released 2012!!
And this will properly prepare the game for new E-Specs to come, Skill and Trait Changes only now will create only chaos, as long all other Combat System Mechanics get ignored constantly.
Taking a serious look over these outdated mechanics is inevitable sooner or later, but better sooner, than later, before its totally too late for this game, as we endure this mess already for 5 years now, when basically proper reworks would have been needed to be done already back when Anet changed the last time the Trait System – that would have been in the past the perfect moment to change more from the outdated mechanics together with them, but Anet did let this huge chance go by unused!!

My wife and i each have 2 accounts, and both my sons have an account. All paid by me, so credentials match. There are many others i know who have accounts for multiple members of their family and they tend to want to be on the same server.
As for idling, some people actually log in to keep tabs on team chat and guild chat, while doing chores around the house, sometimes i watch tv until something interesting happens. Its my choice how i play, and just because people like to blob up i shouldn’t be denied an opportunity to play when there’s other maps open. Even when i am active on a map, people still whine and moan to free queue spaces because their 35-40 on their tag “is not enough” (VR and KEK for instance)
I think what you should be calling for is more of a better enforcement on autocast scripts since there are always more than a handful around map idling casting the same spell over and over to stay in wvw. I at least manually move myself and am forced to requeue now and then when i get too busy irl (or alt tabbed)
I think you missed the point Inoki made: creating multiple accounts to disclose enemy tag locations.
Inactive player in WvW will either need to do some action like AA or move to stay in a WvW map. This happens faster then it would in PvE maps for AFK players.
I don’t see why player who only wants to keep up with chat can’t just stay in PvE maps (they should go to cities [safe zone] as it no fun to rezz player in vital spots during events just to realise that they just give a kitten and are dead in 2 seconds again). This is not a Facebook account after all, it is a game where people are supposed to play or at least be at their computer. ;-)
ANet did also move out crafting from Desert/Alpine maps, so there is no reason to go there if you aren’t there to be actively playing in those maps.

It’s all thanks to the skills team, confirmed by ANet’s game programmers on reddit some time ago.
Basically, the game is so over-bloated with passive effects, on-hit effects, on-CC effects, on-crit effects, and the likes that when groups collide you have what used to be a bunch of skills and effects firing (every activation of anything needs to make a request to the server, things calculated back, sent back to the player, and so on) based on player-effect activations getting multiplied like tenfold on every cast, since now you’ve got most people running around with traits which reflect CCs back to their attackers and ones which proc on CC’s which provide effects which trigger other effects which may affect an ally which triggers his and so on, and with HoT cooldowns being so low, this propagation just keeps going and lags the server out more until a group wipes and it can finally catch up.
If the gameplay/builds were made to actually require player input for most of the things we have happening and the number of on-X effects reduced or all removed, we wouldn’t lag.
It’s not a problem the WvW team can fix and one which will never be fixed unless the profession team acknowledges the fact they’re killing their own game on so many levels.

That’s fairly universal with jumping puzzles in this game. If you don’t have the 25% bonus or perma-swiftness, they’re irritating, and the collision physics combine with a lack of conveyance that really leads to frustration.
It’s even worse with Chalice of Tears, because it was specifically designed to be “frustrating,” except the difficulty is all from poor design choices.

Won Dragon’s Stand. Cinematic start, game crash, close game, computer freeze, restart computer aaaaaand I lost my 1-hour spent trying to finish Dragon’s Stand to get the Crystalline Ore.
I demand my reward, this is completely unacceptable. And it’s always the stupid Dragon’s Stand map, change it so people can join a completed map, if only to loot the Noxious Pods, you still need machetes for it so it’s basically the same as the Tarir Multiloot that is still done to this day.

By this stage of the game’s life haven’t we learned not to call for nerfs? Seriously, why call for a nerf of something that actually has the chance to shorten some of these horribly long sustain fights? Fights nowadays remind me of the old guard/guard duels pre-HoT.
A. Can you use the same tactics?
B. Can you use epidemic without some very exotic/unique comp being REQUIRED?
C. Has the skill been in the game since launch, but is all of a sudden being called OP?
If the answer to any of these is yes then there should be no complaint.
Grab a few more revs and run some extra cleanses and you’ll be fine.
I was against this till I experienced it today. 20 reapers in JQ’s zerg all using epidemic utility. Hits like a mac truck and is very effective when used right. I can see why players are disliking it.

if anything, decrease condi power but equally nerf condi cleanses of classes like warriors and guards.
I hate to see IMMUNE whenever I cast a condition on someone. it is not a physical skill that should be blockable!
Oh don’t get me wrong, I love the skill as a main necro for small scale fighting. But it is rather annoying to see immune. It’s like poking someone with a dirty needle contaminated with the plague and the person says “I don’t think so, I drank orange juice today!”.
Personally, I think selling gamble boxes should be prohibited by law. Maybe one day, they will be, once enough people get burned and make a big enough fuss. It’s predatory, no way around that, and there are other methods of monetization that are way more consumer friendly. Gamble boxes are a lazy and mean-spirited (IMO) way for gaming companies to make a little more money in the short term and can have terrible long term PR consequences.
There is enough RNG in these games, why should we be paying for RNG as well?
People don’t lay them because a thief uses stealth as PART of his defense. People use them when thieves are abusing stealth. Well that and for counter to mass stealthing skills.
