Guild Wars 2

Hi,
I’ve been playing PvP for a long while now, I’m r80, main ele, secondaries are necro/mes, and I’m tired of getting stuck with randoms and fighting against guild groups. Would like to be in a guild that actually is somewhat organized in PvP. I’m usually on 4 days a week, if that’s not enough, don’t PM me, but I’m pretty decent, and would like other players who are as well. Xysynra is my ele. What are the thoughts on the Strength nerf? Was using them on my D/D ele but wanted to know if any of you will be switching because of the 2% dmg drop…just curious…

Corrupt Boon is still not working for me as well. About 75% of the time it fails. I’ll cast it, and the skill recharge starts, but I see no change on opponent’s boons….and I’m not blinded so that’s not it.

HoD clearly has superior coverage and will come away with a S2 win. As an FA resident, I’m happy about it. It means there is someone else to fight more in our level. I’m interested to see how they hold up since they are clearly destined for T2 in 2 months, and I can only imagine what a guild like VR from Mag would do to these numbers.

I do want to say though, I don’t think you’re seeing any FA “tears.” We were last place in T2 for some time and while the silver league views us as the evil empire, we’re just a big fish in a small pond and we know where we stand. So losing to HoD isn’t some huge gut check.

I’m more than content to fight for second place if it means I can keep fighting HoD. I’ve never made so much gold in WvW ever.

TBH, HoD has way more coverage than FA at the moment. We were getting the Outnumbered buff throughout the night, not that I’m complaining, I like the extra bonuses. I’m having fun. HoD you guys melt like butter so thanks for the loot bags. Got a couple exotics last night. :P

2 questions:
1) Are you guys all still getting stuck when you’re building and the ram or whatever has been built, but you can’t move?
2) I know some can break this by weapon switching, but I’m on Ele and even if I switch attunements it doesn’t let me break free, have any Eles found a way around this?

I just love the idea that we’re gonna get to play with a bunch of different servers, how cool is that?? And the areas look so neat. If they have obstacle course styled kinda things, that’s cool. This isn’t your standard WvW map where the layout is really predictable – it’s a little more in depth than that. I mean, I really can’t wait to fight and work with a bunch of different people and just explore the map. Now if they added account bound XP in this update I would cry tears of happiness.

Hi all, basically doing what the title says. I have experience in WvW and it’s pretty much all I play anymore besides dungeons. I’m looking for a guild that is dedicated to WvW. I have Mumble, and am a decent rank, in the Bronze area. Have been on TC for a couple weeks now and feel like it’s time I find some like-minded people to run with. Let me know if I’m a viable candidate lol. Thanks.

How exactly do you go about inviting an enemy to your party? Enemies have invited me but I never knew how they did it.

Likes:
- Roaming skirmishes with small groups
- large battles for keeps
- coordinating with a good strategy
Dislikes:
- not enough color rotation, should be a constant rotation in my opinion
- can’t retrait WvW points
- ranks not account bound (please hurry with this lol)

I would like to see more what Lelouch is talking about. I think we need an element-specific spell cast. Kinda like Glyph of Storms except way more intense. Like Fire could be little fire tornadoes AoE, Air could be Lightning Bolts causing confusion, Water could be a Whirpool, or maybe a Tidal Wave that knocks people down, Earth could be a constant tremor AoE that knocks people down periodically and causes bleeding, etc. I don’t know, just some food for thought.

I heard they’re renaming enemy NPC’s. Veteran Supervisor is now Seasoned Manager, Keep Lord is now Lodge Leader, Legendary Defender is now Famous Watchdog. Pretty cool concept I think tbh!

I was at 99% for about a month before I was lucky and got the Vistas I needed. We were consistently green on my server and I needed red BL garrison vistas. Got lucky one day when I checked and it was flipped. I think that colors should be changed weekly and I can’t figure out why Anet wouldn’t just put everyone on a constant rotation. It doesn’t make sense to me either to keep a server at the same color for weeks, they need to fix this imo as well.

I know, it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s truly disheartening to think that we’ll have to wait 2 months or so for account bound WvW XP, I mean, honestly, they should never have even said anything if they weren’t going to deliver soon thereafter. kittening kittenes me off. I mean how kittening hard is it to just get account bound xp?? I understand Edge of the Mists is more difficult, so I get that being a long haul, but they need to hurry up and focus WvW. kitten Scarlet. 70% of players don’t give a kitten about Scarlet. This all falls on deaf ears though.

Unless you’re in a good zerg, I find World Events to be a hell of a lot faster for Dragonite Ore.

@Aram : Lol thank you for pointing that stuff out, pretty neat. I do think that’s pretty neat, combining plant-like skills with engineer capabilities. I didn’t know they had a Toolbelt skill like that, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Hey guys, well, I have about 5 sylvari and am looking to add another one (they’re the coolest, obviously). Would like to play an engineer, yet the plant vs. mechanical technology is kinda throwing me off a bit. I think it could be a cool combination, but I was just curious as to how those of you who have Sylvari engineers have decked them out. What kind of armor are you using? Or is there a page you can reference me to where I can check some of you out. Just want to see how plant elf works with technology haha.

I love how my PvE build works just as well in here! Why bother taking into account that WvW is a separate entity, there’s no need!

Out of curiosity, how exactly do I join an enemy player’s party? I got an invite once, after a nice 3 on 1 fight I had with them, but I was never able to figure it out myself…what am I missing?

Tbh I’m sure this has happened to plenty of ele’s if you’re a dumb kitten like me – I’m fighting someone, stomp them, then realize their zerg is coming for me, so naturally I’m gonna use Ride the Lightning to make a speedy getaway…except I don’t realize that I have an enemy in the zerg targeted, and I go flying right in the middle to my death. #blindbravery

I want an expansion. Living story just seems so sporadically placed, I’m not drawn to the storyline at all, nor do I want to grind to get AP and the not-so-cool rewards. Please dear god, bring Cantha back. And I want a profession like the Ritualist back. PLEASE. I need my spirits haha. A new race would be nice too.

Seems unfair, but if they can’t beat ya, getting reinforcements is the obvious answer. What do you expect? I mean, it is a battlefield. (I hate it too, just sayin’.)

Hello all, just wanted to get an opinion on transferring servers. I mostly play WvW but I like to PvE as well. I’m currently on Darkhaven and I’m really feeling like every week we just get worse and worse in the WvW department, and that there aren’t many people running around in a PvE environment either. I’m tired of a server that 1) does not have competent commanders except for a very select few who either have transferred, or are never on, and 2) does not have people that listen to coms to stay organized. I wouldn’t say I’m a GREAT Wvw’er by any means, but I want to be more serious than this. I was thinking of going to JQ but I wanted to get other opinions on where you have fun playing WvW, and where you think it is taken seriously.

May I ask what traits you’re running?
