Yesterday there were a LOT of enemies. But it could be because we were about to cap their keep and they called their EB group. I have some footage of it, but it’s not enough to pour in a video.

It’s the upgrade system that is completely flawed. Basically I hung up my GW2 other than getting my daily because WvW is garbage.

I don’t raid every day, and I make even fewer raid videos, but when we get wiped I won’t cut it out

Hello there

There are many effects in the game that change our character’s appearance. I’m not talking about legendary weapon effects, but effects from other items, like the Selfless/selfish potion, the Queen bee, those ghost effect & coloring trinkets,…

Wouldn’t it be great to have an extra tab in the hero panel where you can unlock these effects for your account so that you can enable/disable them whenever you like, just like the outfits.

Any thoughts?

But if you’re buying the core game + expansion you’re basically buying a new account. What would happen with the old account then?

I really believe in all my heart that it’s a bug I think they want to target new people right now, not the core gamers. Maybe we’ll get our pre-purchase in the course of this week or something?

This doesn’t sound like an easy fix. I got the HOM points bug too, but I don’t have any of the skins that came with the points. Secretly I wish I did, but it would have been wrong if I went to EOTN and claimed them. I did get an ap chest of it though.

I believe it will. Magic Find per definition increases chance to receive higher-quality loot from slain foes.

I’m going for the Karmic converter, while slowly building up the ascended materials for armor for my Revenant (but that’s more long term) after my Karmic converter I might go for Mawdrew and when that’s done I’ll build up my legendary crafting mats. lots of stuff to keep me busy ^^

The fact that a very champion of Mordremoth managed to infiltrate the Dream suggest that she did not actually protect it as well as we might want.

it’s actually the first time I thought of it. at the start of the game Mordremoth was already seeking to corrupt the Sylvari. If I remember correctly the dream was ‘under atack’? or at least something was wrong. Maybe it was our dream specifically that was under attack? and if that’s the case, maybe Mordremoth has plans for our sylvari

I also think it’s just extra dialogue options for sylvari. Like, when my Sylvari spoke to Caithe in the very last instance of Point Of No Return (just before the dragon came) she told me the events that happened after killing Wynne and it was really fun to hear it actually.

I’m going to make my revenant a Male Sylvari, with the name Aconitum Mistgrown. Aconitum is Wolf’s bane, a poisonous plant. The story behind him is that when his pod fell from the tree, the Mother opened a portal to the mists under him. He had to rely on the Dream and the voice of his Mother to find his way out. like this his connection to the dream is unbreakable and Mordremoth has no influence over him. (sorry, I like to make these stories about my characters :p )

Maybe there are some Sylvari around us who are not from the Pale Tree? We know there is at least 1 Tree deeper in the jungle, and it already sprouted at least 1 Sylvari… Remember Malyck?

Quick question, do the home instance gathering nodes in the gem store ever get on sale?

1786 hours over 838 days, not a single precursor. best drop I had was ascended weapon with useless stats :p I would be nice to include a precursor in the 3-year birthday chest or something. maybe that would just break the game :p it’s just a skin… and change-able stats… and shiny footsteps…

gems to gold doesn’t seem so bad. I just think there should be a more fun way to get the gems.

I’m not sure if this has been posted before, but I’ll post it anyway. Wouldn’t it be fun if gold to gems was removed and if Anet finds a proper way to link gems to achievements. so if you complete an achievement in the new release, you get 10 gems or something. This would make me (and others, I hope) more interested in playing content.

I tried to log in on one of my characters, but I got a message that said ‘you must rename your character before you may continue’.

I was making my very own Scarlet, bought the Magitech armor and a hair kit for her, and now all of the sudden I can’t use the name I Scarlet Briar I anymore? yesterday I got to lvl 68, but now I feel like just deleting her :/

why can’t I log in on her anymore with that name? :’(

I like how Mordremoth is a real live threat, while Zaithan was just something that was always there from the start. All he did was send some minions, but the vines are much more dangerous since you can’t really stop them from spreading. According to Taimi they are Mordremoth himself, or like an extension of his body. Zaithan never had such a thing, just some minions.

Rythlock didn’t kill the King. I think it was a Flame legion squad that were going to kill him, but the Foefire killed him eventually.

But why would they show Icebrood in the trailer? I don’t really see a connection between them and the current story. Interesting plot twist :p

When the Charr breached Ascalon, King Adelbern used his flaming sword Magdaer to create the Foefire. A big magic blast that killed the Charr army, but it also turned the humans into ghosts. These ghosts keep defending Ascalon. Killing them does not really work since they come back after a while. That’s the Curse of Ascalon in a nutshell

The Curse of Ascalon is probably the ghosts from the dead Ascalonians

This is something really small and completely unimportant, and I’m not sure if peole already pointed it out, but I just thought it would be nice to come out with it.

One of my alts wandered in the Durmand Priory instance, and when I walked into the library/archives, I noticed that there was a book about Ley Lines and Scarlet.

Ley Line Theory #671 by Verzatt, College of Dynamics

The existence of ley lines has long been theorized, and they have had many names. in 1316, a sylvari named Ceara (alias Scarlet Briar) found proof.

My own research supports the hypothesis that ley lines are currents of moving magical energy within the great sea of the Eternal Alchemy

Magic, like air or water, supports life and surrounds us as air surrounds land-based creatures and water surrounds aquatic creatures.

But it is not stagnant. it ebbs and flows in currents that swirl about us, unseen and unfelt.

There is evidence that the paths of these ley lines can be disrupted and changed just as the path of a river can be changed when obstructed.

Scarlet Briar: 1304-1327 (Sylvari, Cycle of Day)

Her name upon awakening was Ceara, which she eventually rejected along with her roots.

She worked with each of the asuran colleges, allowing them to study her cognitive abilities while introducing her to advanced asuran philisophies and knowledge.

Other mentors trained her in more technical skills, including Beigarth, a norn who now lives in Hoelbrak.

Following her time with an asura named Omadd, she took the self-made name of Scarlet Briar and severed her ties to the Pale Tree and the Dream.

This is all to be found about her in there, I’m not sure if this is new news but I am happy that I found it.

I also don’t know how to get the spectacles and scarf. Are they supposed to drop in Dry Top? I’ve been there for hours and nothing :/ I do have a lot of sand piles now xd

It would be nice to see him again. However, I heared a rumour about this. Remember how Scarlet was saying that Caithe had a big secret? Some people think that Caithe killed Malyck to protect the pale tree. If the nightmare court would have followed him and corrupted his tree, the grove would have been doomed. Caithe actually mentioned that Malyck is very dangerous. Since we never heared from him again, it’s possible that he’s dead

already a lot of comments ^^ I’ll take a look at each build and decide wich one works best for me. I also have a necromancer, an engineer and a thief. (leveling an ele and guardian)

I have running some fractals recently and I got to level 16 now, but I don’t really know what class is most desired for fractals? I also don’t know what builds are used when the difficulty goes up to 20+

I’ve been playing a warrior with hammer + sword & warhorn (guild build). I don’t know if that’s good or not?
