I’m more of a bunker guy

I recently made an engineer, but I’m completely clueless about the build for PvP. Does anyone know what build is good to use?

It could be that in the next feature pack they will add something for guilds. In the previous pack they adressed a few issues and made some big changes. I’m still hoping that somewhere in the future this will be added aswell. minus the gemstore thing.

I have been walking around the now deserted Vigil Keep and I see all this empty space. Vigil Keep is actually a HUGE building with a lot of potential, but we can only enter a small circular room which connects two other small rooms. If you take a look at the outside, you’ll see that the Keep is a lot bigger than just those three rooms. It seems like a shame to not use all that space :/ I was thinking of a way to use all this space, and this is what I came up with.

Vigil Keep as Guild Hall

The keep is huge, and this space is perfect to make the Guid Hall (a feature I personally would really like to have in the future). The double doors that lead to the bank is now closed, but when it re-opens it could lead us into the front porch of the Guild Hall. The starter hall only has the entrance and a small round room, but upgrades can be bought when the guild meets certain conditions.

Upgrading the Guild Hall

Before any upgrades can be bought, you need to employ workers. these can be found in any city. Choosing your workers is very important, because they determine how your Hall is going to look like. If you employ a sylvari worker, he/she can decorate the rooms with cultural decorations (color, size, location,… can be chosen by the guild). These workers can also add new rooms or floors to the hall. These upgrades are bought with gold, materials, Influence,… A maxed out Guild hall can be huge!

I’m not going to write down my entire vision of this, because it would be too long, but to make a long story short: The guild can make special rooms like a trophy room, a meeting room, a kitchen, a portal room, games room, an arena,… the possibilities are endless.

I wonder what the meta rewards will be. Last year we got a Quartz node for our home instance. Maybe we get an upgrade for it? (and those who don’t have a quartz node can get one now) turns it into a rich quartz node or something

This may seem obvious to some people, but I have to ask it. Does hotjoin affect the advancement to the next tier of the track, or does it only advance with the tournaments or something? Or does hotjoin give less ‘points’?

This is exactly how I see the living story. I noticed it after a friend asked me what the living world was. I started with the karka and the consortium, followed by the refugee’s who needed saving and so on… Then I noticed that we’re playing a ‘book’ and that I couldn’t wait to see/play the next chapter

I am one of the stupid few who bought the permanent airship pass. I also have every ‘expansion’ for my home instance (Crystals, candy corn, sprockets, belcher bluf copper silver and gold ore). Getting these upgrades made my home instance mean something to me. When I first read about the fact that players would get a home instance that would change depending on your actions in your personal story, I imagined something different. (I played LOTRO before and I loved their housing system, so I had high expectations) I think better housing would give this game a big boost. While I’m typing this I actually got a nice idea :p

Imagine being in a guild with a lot of awesome and crazy people. That guild would own a big plot of land That expands when more members join. Imagine a human city, a grove, a forest village, Mountain halls,… where there are houses for everyone to fully customize. Also imagine a central hall where guild parties would be given, some RP, trophies of WvW invaders or a member of the week foto with your head on it.

Or just join public villages, meet your neighbours, chase some kittens…

This is my vision of how the player housing should be. I doubt this wil ever happen :p

You have until March 4th, plenty of time.
Try to join up in civ rescue teams, if the event is a success (1200 saved) thats 9 extra heirlooms!

I can’t play in the upcoming holiday and weekend (1st of March until 10 March) so I after this evening I have 3 days to get 127 heirlooms :s I hope we can get more during the next release

I was wondering if there was a way to appear ‘Offline’ to my guildies while I’m actually online. I know there’s a button in the Contacts panel, but does it affect my visibilty in the guild roster?

So I was wondering…

what will happen to the Dominion of Winds, the city of the Tengu? One of their walls/gates is in Lion’s Arch. Will they come to our rescue, or will they flee to their city and come out when Scarlet is dead? Maybe they open their gates after Lion’s arch is destroyed to help us or something? I just asked myself this when I was walking by the point of interest in Lion’s Arch. any thoughts?

Well, I understand that PayPal is really popular, but it would make things for me so much easier if the mobile option was available. I kinda want to seperate money and computers with all the hackers and stuff.

I was looking at ways to purchase gems in-game, and I noticed that there was no option to purchase it with your phone. This may sound stupid or anything, but at other games I always buy it with my phone (just last week I bought RP in LoL like that)
Is there a way to make that payment option available? it would buying gems a lot easier for me, and maybe for other people too.

I would also love to be able to buy it piece per piece. I only need/want the shoulder armour for medium, since my thief has the skull, but I would love to have the flaming version of it. But to spend 800 gems for just 1 piece… it’s a bit much :/ If it was available piece per piece, I would totally spend 133 gems on it

Why are gathering tools like the Bone Pick or the Consortium harvesting sickle soulbound and not account bound? If I wanted to delete my character, I’d lose my precious tools (2400 gems). The salvage machine was account bound, so why not the harvesting tools?

It would give my char a good look, but it would block your back item. Then again, you can just hide the back item, so it would not give any problems. (Love it when people solve their own problems )

I have one small question that’s been on my mind for a while now
Do the rewards in the world rank chest get better once we reach a higher rank, or do they just stay the same? Is it also possible to get rare’s or even exotic’s from these chests?

I don’t want to insult anybody, but I have been playing runescape 3 for like… 5 minutes, and I found the current events more… ‘capturing’ than the events in the Living story this entire year. (I’m not a frequent Runescape player because personally, I think it’s for little kids, sorry if I’m stepping on someone’s toes :s ) I hope that we will see similar events in Guild wars 2 (Well, not similar, but I just hope that the quality of Living World will increase as the team gathers more experience) Right now in Rs3 you feel that you really have the future of Gielinor in your hands, while I never really had that feeling with gw2, even in Cutthroat Politics (ofcourse there is a HUGE difference between gw2 and Rs3. Gw2 has a story the dev. team kinda have to stick to, while Rs3 is free of that)

Rs3 is also better with skins, tbh. I unlocked a sword skin in Solosomeones general store and I can apply that skin to any sword I have, I would love to see a similar mechanic in Gw2…

I don’t really want to compare gw2 to Rs3, but I had to speak my mind. Any comments?

I really want to buy this actually. I always use crude kits for normal salvagework, so it would be an ‘upgrade’ for me. And per 25 uses you save 0,5 copper (every salvage with basic kit costs 3,5 copper) it might sound just stupid, but that does the trick for me :p

Hm, I don’t know. I’m trying to get rid of the long trenchcoat ,but that seems to impossible :/ I hope Arena Net knows that the game needs better medium armour…

I have spent HOURS in the hearts of the mist looking in the pvp locker, trying to compose a nice outfit for in PvE, but I just can’t find anything. Almost all of the medium armour looks the same, the ‘Assasins armour’ I way too typical for thieves and who cares about pants? The trenchcoats cover most of it up anyway I’m looking for something that is different and good looking. The ‘Vigil Coat’ looks kinda ‘ok’ but the bottom part of it really sucks, Anet just HAD to put a skirt on it, hiding most of the pants :’( without it would have been perfect…

If you have found a good combination for a Male thief, please let me know… I’m desperate :p

I never see the AoE’s coming, how am I supposed to dodge something I can’t see?
