It’s all in-game no out of game transaction so its fine. I like the idea myself and always tip players that are willing to port me as during the week am on a low spec laptop so jp’s are extremely hard!
Again it takes away any frustration with the game i might get for not being able to do them myself so again making the game more lade back so am all kool for it!

I had all other achievements and did not obtain the anything after completion i got completion award of exp and silver but nothing else!

I would like to see Kodan Tengu and Hylek, I will say most of all the Hylek as they are large talking frogs whats not to like, And again just think of the interesting race skills they could use!

Am sure Tengu will be playable once the fight to get Primordus starts!

a 5-man story dungeon. There are not going to be any raids in Guild Wars 2.

There are a good number of open world raids.

no, those are group events. A raid is an instanced dungeon designed for a huge amount of people (20, 30..)

that’s what a raid is in most MMOs. I’ve never seen anyone in any MMO refer to the world bosses as raids and yet Guild Wars 2 is not the only MMO with actual world bosses.
If to be pedantic about it you could go with this http://www.thefreedictionary.com/raid . In that case any attack is a raid and Guild Wars 2 dungeons could be called raids too.

You really should read the evidence you use to support your argument as in this case it proves you are wrong.

All i say is join a better guild look at my guild yes am a leader but i have 3 other leaders and 4 other players that have the ability to use most guild features. I believe this being a better structure I did have a problem that annoyed me on the original guild wars were i was inactive for 2 weeks as my computer was bust and i had to wait for new part i came back the guild was given to someone else and i was kicked from the guild!

So giving some else leader no but having a better structured guild so it can work without the leader yes!

There will be one in place but its gona take a lot of time to get a good balance that wont annoy everyone, Since it was not added at start its harder to add it later cause there is more things they have to account for, So am sure there working on it since it gets brought up a lot!

To start with Commander is not just for WvWvW it is also used in PvE like my guild dose during guild missions we will have are commanders lead groups to go after set targets so we do not have spams of chat in guild chat!

So having to have WvW rank or what ever is no good!

Again Commander in a hole is being worked and made better so am sure when they make commander more useful there will be more ways to get it from WvW side of the game

You can report it and sometimes they do punish the player that did it but yea you need to put more restrictions on it like make a member plus rank so people who join cant just take it.
This happened to my guild twice first time I was daft and just let anyone take.
Second time tho they passed all the screening we have for promotion to the rank we made that can take stuff out and just looted and left anyway, you can do all the screening you want but some times it dose not help anyway!

This why i also made a post about making more restrictions they could add like how many items can be withdrawn a week and how much gold but so far no go!

Edit: They can not get back the stuff taken so its gone for good once its gone!

Ok Arena Net that was the second time I was in the middle of fighting a dragon only to see the message server restart in 3 minutes. Can you either a.) make the count down longer? 10 minutes, 15 minutes so that gives people enough time to finish a world boss before the shut down. b.) run some sort of check to see if per server one of those major boss events is up which would halt the restart until the event is over. c.) make any world boss spawned respawn instantly upon the reset. I’d rather have to start the boss all over than have to start the wait for it all over.

There’s not much worse in this game than waiting around for hours only to have a boss get de-spawned like that. It’s things like this that get under a player’s skin and it’s eventually how you lose your player base.

No there will not be any as the game has no content that needs it, So they say anyway again your merc would take a slot on a map from another play so no i don’t see it working out. Would be nice to have at least 1 for each player tho.

I would also not that the conversion from gold to gems is going up and up! So by means it will take last time i checked about 30 gold to get the new pick at 800 gems!

I think there should be an auto switch feature so you can set it up to auto switch to it when entering the homesteads. Also remove the fact when you take damage or go into water it switch’s to your armour. Am messing around in lions arch in town clothes go for a dive oh in armour again so switching out and repeat! Its annoying!
Town cloths in combat tho just no unless while doing so you get 1 shot KO’d as you have no armour stats!

I think the heavy guild armour is ugly, back packs looks out of place on my heavy armour and the only weapon i get to use is the shield!

Try the patch notes instead of making a thread.

The only change made to Maw:
“Wayfarer Foothills: Reduced the frequency of grawl attacks on Tor’s supply tent in the Frozen Maw event chain.”

Doesn’t mention anything about the spawn time

reducing the frequency means reducing how often it spawns meaning it will take longer to start (you cant fight the end without the start its like reading the last few pages of a book before the rest pointless)

There is only the black lion trading post to make trading FAIR and reduce spam in outposts!
The moment you bring in trade between 2 players the moment we get spam all over the world scammers will pop up cause its easier to scam! this in hole would make trading more dangerous and hurt the community’s of the worlds!

Bringing the trade system you wish for brings out the Greed in players also it would crash the market as there would be no tax making the poor poorer and the rich richer!

You can play with them, as long as you create a character in the European servers (assuming they’re using European servers).

When you get your software, just make sure that whatever server park they’re in, you create a character on the same one, or better still, on the same server, which will let you WvW together as well.

Basically, anyone can create a character on a European or a US server, no matter where they are in the world. However, you can’t guest to a different server park, so you wouldn’t be able to play with them if you didn’t create your character correctly.

Also keep in mind in Guild Wars 2, all your characters are on the same server. So you want to make sure you get the information from them, before you create your first character.

you would need to server transfer to the Eu servers before you could play with them other ways you cant do anything with them at all!
Oh and you would need to be on the same server to get the most out a guild together and to WvWvW together.
You cant guest from American server to Europe only Europe to Europe and American to American!

I see a lot of people here whining “there is no personal reward, no one in my guild will join!” Holy hells. Do you really need a shiny trinket dangling every. single. step. of the way to motivate your guildies? No one ever understands long-term planning or working together towards something? You don’t know how to make it fun?

Then why the hell are you a guild leader? It’s not Anets job to bond your guildies together and create some fun. It’s yours. And yes, that job’ll be easier now if guild missions are your goal.

This is all true i had a small guild and we have kept together they do rep other guilds just for guild missions then come strait back! My guild is built on respect and when we saw this new update we are all up in arms and see this as are chance to get guild missions unlocked sooner rather then late! This has already brought some none representers to rep!

I think this update is spot on it lets smaller guilds have a way to get influence to get access to the main guild missions!
Don’t forget other players can aid you in doing these missions as like the others so this will help small guilds a lot and allow them access to the Main guild missions it will still take time for the larger guild missions but it wont feel like we are left out as much!
Best update ever i think really supports the little players!

Simple answer no.
With duel pro there is a lot more balancing and it would really have to be put in on day one!
As someone stated earlier they may add new weapon types this keeping balance but still a large project as every pro has different weapon skills so do not expect to see them soon.

plus gold sinks like this are good for the game (if not for the individual player) as it stops the value of gold plummeting.

Don’t forget the side effect of that the price of stuff increases and the poor get poor and the rich become richer. people with little money will find it hard buy things unless they sell everything. and the rich already have the gear and the money!

Yes I really like the idea as my guild is still 35,000 influence off getting guild bounty just wish we had some more information on it cause maybe am not down the right tree it needs for all I know!

Better Guild Bank restrictions need to be put in place!

I bring this from a guild that has been robbed twice, (nothing huge stolen but its not about the things that’s been stolen its about the morale of guild members after there hard work was taken!)

Now first of we let nearly anyone take things from it and this worked for 1 month we had over 100 members and it was going well. We then had a new member join and he emptied the bank of all its gold and left no big deal, Problem was some members were upset who put money in the guild to be shared by all so when someone tuck it all it hurt them emotional.

So we beefed up the rights as you had to join the guild website be an active member and so on. In the end this did not help at all, They followed along and waited there time built up the trust of the guild and wham cleaned out the hole guild storage leaving nothing then leaving the guild! Not really a big deal as vault was used for rare and above items and it was locked to leaders only. The problem is the morale of the guild dropped again!

So as they built up the trust of the guild yet in the end still tuck advantage of the guild bank I would like to see more options be put in place on guild bank!

Options I would like to see in hopes to stop this in the future

Setting for how many items members can take out in 1 day and/or week
If the can take money out and if so how much they can take out

I do not want to make it so every time a member wants something out the bank they have to ask officers and such to get things out, (as of now its what we have to do but again there is delay in deliver and by the time they get the items they don’t want them any more.)

On another note once a member has left the guild after robbing the bank there is NO proof it was them, there account name is switched to unknown the moment they leave the guild as the attached image shows.
So how they plan to do anything about I do not know

So far I believe they only way to tell if someone has been online or not is when their location text changes to unkown after, what … 2 weeks ?

Actually it changes everyone to unknown after updates so if if you kick people on that theory you could kick active players! That is the only time it switch’s it!

Culling. Where have all the people gone?

Throughout the beta and the first month or so of launch I had no issues with it, at all.

Then in WvWvW I started noticing culling on large groups of players, and subsequently noticed it more and more as patches have been released. Is this intentional?

Since the last two patches however it’s become ridiculous. Players only load in when they are within 10 yards or so, and then disappear right before my eyes. Lions Arch actually feels empty because you can’t see 90% of the people there.

Which leads me to what led me to make (another) post about culling, as I really am not clear as to the intent of it. I loaded into Lions Arch last night (which on a side note, why has it started loading in in chunks with no floors since two patches ago?). I saw players, tons of players! My fps was fine for the 5 seconds or so it lasted and then culling kicked in and they where gone, I was practically alone.

Populating the world with some great guild quests and events is all well and good. But when you can’t see any of them because of how culling is implemented, what’s the point?

This is true many times i seen loads of people running for maw but by time i get there i see about 5 people and am like were is everyone knowing there standing right next to me in large numbers. It makes me feel alone rather then a part of a large group working together for a task!

My Final Statement here since this is just going no were!

Why Was the First Guild mission type put in AoW it is seen as PvP guild content witch I agreed with PvP guilds got what they needed PvE guilds got what they needed. You now placed PvE content at the end of AoW it seems super stupid!

Small PvE Guilds are now being forced to GRIND to get this new content cause most would never have touched AoW upgrades before that being the case they need 75000 Influence to get the first Guild Mission type. My guild has a total of 100+ members 40+ active pulling an average of 900+ influence a day, We are a PvE Guild so never bothered wasting influence on AoW, Meaning that we wont unlock it for 90 days so 3 months. This is then pushing of all the upgrades that are any use for a guild.

Getting in new members to small guilds! This has now become harder as players are leaving small guilds to join large guilds that already have the influence to unlock most of the new content! So small guilds are getting smaller, Getting new members again even harder as now having to go out and find members that will join a guild that can’t already start doing guild missions, Would you join a guild now that could not?

So in nearly all cases for small guilds to move forward now so they can grow to become great guilds they need to grind, Oh wait didn’t Anet say they want Guild Wars 2 to have no grinding? That is right! In there manifesto for the game they said they wanted to get rid of grinding so why add it in now?

This is there Manifesto go to 1:20 and you can see all about having content NOW and NO grind!

So why has it come this way grinding and the killing of small guilds?

Just because you call it a grind dose not mean it is a grind. Your calling things that do not fit the idea of a grind at all your simply using it as a buzz word.

Then explain to us your definition of grinding since this does not fit

This is not a true grind in that its something that leads up to progression now if your talking about running guild events over and over this is more true to the idea of a grind. Its like getting mad at part one of a story because you got to read it before you can get to part 2.

jski seems to be contradicting himself. In order to gain enough influence to be able to afford the upgrades what will players in small guilds have to do? thats right rinse and repeat the content that gives the most influence if they would like to have access to the new content before christmas

SO HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS:

How does 1 small guild achieve the influence in the first place so they can do the missions?

Can you somehow do guild missions without being in a guild & get the commendations rewards?

Is the Guild Bounty Mission a WvW based mission? If not why is it in the Art of War category.

No it is not WvW and why the first one is in AoW is one of the most puzzling parts of the universe!

My Final Statement here since this is just going no were!

Why Was the First Guild mission type put in AoW it is seen as PvP guild content witch I agreed with PvP guilds got what they needed PvE guilds got what they needed. You now placed PvE content at the end of AoW it seems super stupid!

Small PvE Guilds are now being forced to GRIND to get this new content cause most would never have touched AoW upgrades before that being the case they need 75000 Influence to get the first Guild Mission type. My guild has a total of 100+ members 40+ active pulling an average of 900+ influence a day, We are a PvE Guild so never bothered wasting influence on AoW, Meaning that we wont unlock it for 90 days so 3 months. This is then pushing of all the upgrades that are any use for a guild.

Getting in new members to small guilds! This has now become harder as players are leaving small guilds to join large guilds that already have the influence to unlock most of the new content! So small guilds are getting smaller, Getting new members again even harder as now having to go out and find members that will join a guild that can’t already start doing guild missions, Would you join a guild now that could not?

So in nearly all cases for small guilds to move forward now so they can grow to become great guilds they need to grind, Oh wait didn’t Anet say they want Guild Wars 2 to have no grinding? That is right! In there manifesto for the game they said they wanted to get rid of grinding so why add it in now?

This is there Manifesto go to 1:20 and you can see all about having content NOW and NO grind!

So why has it come this way grinding and the killing of small guilds?

Will or voices be heard will anything change?

Nope but they should because of THERE Manifesto for the game!

Anet said they want to be rid of the grind look how many things there adding in that need grinding!

Think the only part of the update i liked was the all pvp tournaments are free now they have come far with there balancing system making it seem like i could really get into actually play some tournaments pvp now since there is no fee a lose feels nothing more then a lose not a waste of money!
Oh also adding the back skins to the black lion chests very nice!
