Every time a new meta comes around the community QQs. Anet nerfs the meta then a new meta comes around, community QQs, Anet nerfs it. Then a new meta comes around, community QQs, Anet nerfs it. I honestly dont think they can balance the game mode, only shift the balance every couple months.
Simple solution…. You can only transfer once every 3 months.
People need to understand that every 2 months the standings are going to change. The top 3 teams aren’t going to stay there for years at a time anymore. This is a good thing. Different people get a chance to win & soon it’ll all change again. Now the just have to fix T4 & give them a chance.
I’m confused. How do we have a power creep and a defense creep? This doesn’t equal out?
Lol I love it. People complain about stale match ups, glicko, not enough variety. This week is as variety as it gets. Interested to see how it plays out.
The more QQ the more I want it… This is how I will base the rest of my votes. People take this unbalanced game mode way to seriously. #golemwars2016
This should be like ressing…. You can’t repair while its under attack. I see no problem with this then. It’s not a game changer it’s not the end of the world… It’s a trial.
I only see these being used after u have defended your keep/ tower to repair damaged siege after getting the walls up. Is this only for cannons/mortars ? Or would this work on catas & ballis too?
I assume it is for all siege. Including golems.

I’m for any update as a trial period to test it out…. If it doesn’t work we scrap it at the next poll.

WvWvW is still lacking when it comes to rewards.
The WvWvW reward tracks are very nice, but they progress slower than the spvp ones. Why WvWvW reward progress should be slower?!?
The reward tracks are mostly filled with utterly useless loot. I mean utterly. How many thousands more tomes of knowledge I need to click through? And how many more green gear salvage? Players want materials, especially the materials needed to make ascended ones. WvWvW is lousy source of tier2-tier4 materials. I really don’t care about rare or exotic, unless it has a good looking skin. Ascended is the only way to go.
There is still lack of things you can purchase with WvWvW related currencies. I got 36k+ badges still unused and like 1600 proofs of heroics, thinking what an earth to do with them.
Please give WvWvW players more reasons to come to WvWvW! The recent decision to remove crafting stations was surely a move towards wrong direction. Instead of giving us less reasons to come to WvWvW, give us way to obtain legendary and ascended back item, ascended weapons and armor etc. Now fractals is the easiest way for ascended back piece, but why a WvWvW player should be forced to play fractals for it?!?
Personally I fly through my reward tracks but I do agree… Needs less useless garbage.
Badges/ proofs…. Can’t get enough between scribing and buying siege
As far as incentives to play wvw…. The game is 4 years old and each day more and more people are going to leave…. I’m curious what percent of gw2 players played wvw a year ago compared to now.
I’d like a new bl also but that would put to many much need updates on hold.
Now that linking / population balance, scoring, rewards, & abl/dbl fixes have been put in place. What do you think the next update should be? Please let’s not argue about the previous updates here, there are threads for each of them. For me the most pressing update would be:
1. Class balance / skill balance
2. Minor updates that were previously mentioned , cross map chat & weekly rewards for winning.
I’ve come to accept that these conversations will never end.

I think op makes valid points. For me, I could care less about scoring, winning or losing. I would rather have fun and fight on a different variety of maps, with a different strategy any time I want. The only fairness I care about is class balance.
I thought they made glicko more volatile when they did the linking. We were seeing a lot more +/-60… Then they changed the scoring a bit and everything is around +/- 4…except cd.
Server linking, DBLs, scoring, rewards….all these are voted on , updated & hopefully done with. It’s time for a much needed class balance. Imo this is the next most important update they can do. I just hope the community feels the same.
Since the new scoring changes have been implemented I haven’t seen any posts on “nightcapping”. No qq about how it’s ruining the game or how it’s fixed anything. So just wondering what people’s opinions are on this matter. Was this a successful update?
Really all decisions should be settled in WvW… Screw polls. 2 sides fight and the winners idea gets implemented.
I’m not understanding this. This gift is still one of the easiest gifts to get. People are qqing because it’s not practically free anymore? It’s for a legendary!!! As far as I’m concerned you should have to play all game modes to complete your legendary.
I like all these ideas….I hope they implement them.
I believe with the new/ old waypoint system the DBLs will be much better.
The wvw development team has done a complete 180. They communicate better than ever. They listen to our feedback. They repost a lot of their reddit posts here. We even get to vote on which updates we want or don’t want. They are gauging what the community wants in the best possible way they can and still you ask for more. *sigh some people will never be satisfied.
Ahhhhhhhhh I’ve been grinding dragon stand for weeks with one more rune to go. Same thing happened to me with the elite specializations. So frustrating but good news none the less.
When your keep gets captured at least once a day, you don’t have time to build a logical impenetrable fortrous. You just build with what you have from the rubble and hope it makes it through the night.
After 6 months of trying to keep our server alive after hot came out, our guild finally transferred up. As many guilds have. We wanted more fights, slightly even fights and different match ups. Going months on end with completely outrageous match ups ruined our home. Relinking has solved this problem so we have moved back home to be able to fight along side our friends again. I believe a lot of guilds are doing the same thing which is evening out the population.
With 1 month re links we can finally get to rebuild our community. No more stale match ups , no more server stacking. No more mass exodus. 3 months seems too long to be linked with a host you don’t like. It’s too long to be stuck in last place or first place. 1 month gives everyone a chance to win or lose.
If they nerf boonshare this will be another huge hit to small teams. It is one of the last tactics that give small teams a chance against big zergs. Giant pug blobs dont do this cause it takes to much coordination to do it right. This thread makes me realize how wvw has become the mindless blob fest it is today.

5% lmao…. Do you actually talk to people in game or do just assume everyone is just like you. Well enough arguing about the view points of a whole community in which no one knows. The poll will settle this age old question. Then people who don’t agree with the results can qq about how it doesn’t represent the community.

If you can’t rotate the maps faster then I would rather have both maps, but unless you have 3 different bls , this will not be fair. I would like 1 month rotations. If that is not an option then I don’t care which way the poll goes.
If 1 team blobs all teams have to blob. It’s the first server that causes the chain reaction. I like variety. Blobbing is fun on occasion but not every occasion.
I can’t see why they shouldn’t be in towers. Although having 6 of these running around might be a little OP.
Don’t get me wrong, this game is in desperate need of rebalancing. But it’s not just boons it’s everything.
You can make these at T1 from camps now. There is only 1 tier on camps it was updated.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe most people prefer group fights between 10 – 25 players give or take some. But the 40+ endless blob fest is starting to get old. It usually starts out with multiple tags on the map then enemy brings the blob then we combine into a giant blob then the next team. It’s the same thing every day. Is there a solution to this? Should there be a solution to this or is this really what the majority enjoys?

2. WVW unique skins
3. Repeatable HoT tracks ( sick of grinding)
4. Map rotation
5. Make wvw less blobbular ( don’t think this is possible)

The biggest thing I liked about the dbls was that everyone hated them. I could spend hours patrolling the south loaded with 1v1s and small team fights. There was more to cap as a roamer & you could cap a camp with out 10 people coming to kill you. Also the terrain was interesting and kept you on your toes instead of just putting on auto run. I think the rotation will be a good thing.
Yes!!! And let’s turn EB into an all water battleground. Finally a map we can all agree on.

It’s a balance. If you run condi u think there is to much resistance. If you don’t have great condi clear you think there is to much condi in the game. If you run many cc’s you think to much stab. If you don’t have enough stab you think cc’s need nerfed. To many boons now not enough boon strips. If you have a balanced team none of this matters. If your a solo artist, expect there to be a class that can alwYs kill you.
Get rid of host and guest and just fight for red blue & green or what ever name they’d come up with, keep worlds I’m not taking about factions …. Nuclear option plus the new scoring system… I don’t no how much more equal you can get. Screw everyone equally :-)…. Doubt that would get a 75% vote.
The only way this would work is if you
1. De-link all worlds from accounts once, and have all players on all accounts have to pick a “new” server (for free) when they first log in post-patch, as if they’re a new acct.
2. RESET all server rankings completely.
3. Lower population caps for all worlds thus forcing players to spread out.
4. Forget and ignore all the “lul my guild on this server and I can’t transfer them to zerg harder”. Its a temporary pain to solve a major issue, and the game will be far healthier overall for it.

I also like this…. Maybe have a que for transferring worlds just in case all your friends don’t make it, so they will in time.
For population balance the top worlds would have to lose players and the bottom worlds would have to gain players. The population cap should stay low. Free transfers to all low pop servers. The re linking should happen once a month. Ranks & tiers shouldn’t matter. It should be all about winning your week for a reward of course. No server stacking cause it’s just going to switch in a month. No stale match ups. People can build communities back up since there is no real reason to Keep switching teams. Once population balances, raise the cap incrementally & charge for transfers again. Then link teams randomly so everyone gets a chance to win & lose. When all pops are reasonable split servers for a tournament to see who the best is and lock transfers. After tourney go back to linking. I think it is more important to balence the worlds we have than make 3 new worlds.
