Why is this soulbound instead of account bound? Have been unlocking this with my Ranger, now its just useless gear that I cant use anywhere…
My problem is the stupid glider, sometimes I can’t even leave the floor there is no way to use the glider… and there is no way to survive.
1. No ability to change utilities (this is super important);
2. Legends are tied to stats, ex: Ventari needs healing power, Mallyx needs condi etc
this makes 1 of your equipped legends almost useless;
3. Can’t take a punch it folds like wet noodle even using the “tank” legend;
4. Low mobility;
5. Low damage.
The damage can be fixed easily the other stuff completely breaks the concept of the profession…
(edited by Letifer.4360)
Can’t wait for them damage multipliers!
Something like 80%
Still not pre purchasing. I don’t care about all the bonus stuff I still need to see what else there is in the expansion in order to buy it, it isn’t worth 50 bucks to me right now.
Sure, but DO YOU EVEN JUMP?
Jumping is overrated.

RATE the Revealed Elite specs best to worst
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Letifer.4360
My rating for pve with the known elite specs:
1: Dragonhunter (this will probably be in the top 3 dps classes + all the good stuff Guardian already had)
2: Chronomancer (because skill speed + what it already had)
3: Reaper (Necro is still crap in organised groups)
Do you have them unlocked from GW1? I’m asking just to make sure.
Also, I heard something about HoM rewards being locked temporally because of a bug since the update, not sure if the lock is for players that just unlocked the HoM rewards after the update or if everyone have their rewards locked.
EDIT: Hepatolith explained it
Yes, I have Gwamm in GW1 xD
My Hall of monument pets aren’t there, are they lvl restricted now or something? (lvl25 ranger)
Trihorns where such a pain in the kitten for me.
Okey, so most of you don’t agree with my expectations. But is it no one other than me that expected more? Did none of you have any expectations for the expansion? We haven’t got any information about the scale of the new areas or the story so we just have to wait and see about that. But come on something did you expect that wasn’t in the announcement, or?
When it comes to ANet my expectations are always low, what I would like to see in this expansion would be elite missions (or raids or more dungeons) unfortunately this isn’t coming, so I am waiting to see what this expansion is all about, probably won’t buy it and if that is the case ill just stop playing and pretend GW2 never happened.
I will never understand why people think publicly announcing their departure deserves attention.
its feedback. If i would be a dev i would actually welcome this (heck i dunno about a-net but atleast I would)…cause i sorta can see what people like and dislike and can collect that info to have something to work with. Sure…1 guy leaving the game or complaining about a certain issue is like a water drop on a hot stone, but lets say (seriosly random number) 500 people “complain” about the same thing you will start to see a pattern that can\could be used as a guideline for the future. A well written and explained “im leaving” post is just as valuable like a suggestion in a CDI imo. Also you can easily skip these topics by just not looking at them
I’m almost 100% positive that people can actually leave feedback and say they like or don’t like something without also saying they’re leaving. Watch.
I’m leaving because I don’t like the loot system. I never feel like I’m getting anywhere.
I don’t like the loot system, I never feel like I’m getting anywhere.
Both of these lines give the exact same info. It doesn’t help that so many people say they’re leaving and never actually leave. We know this because devs told us this.
They don’t give the same info, the 1st one clearly says you lost 1 customer, the 2nd not really.
i said before but there is NO issue with timelines, revenants get their power from the mists which touches everything and every time – in the mists, time is nothing (go see the fractals) so why are so many people worried about plot holes in timelines when you’re dealing with something that is timeless – use your imaginations – jeez
So you are saying that Rytlock went back in time to teach us how to be Revenet’s?…
No, something far easier. When he became a Revenant, his power echo’d throughout the Mists, touching the past and future simultaneously, awakening all Revenants to their power.
That is ridiculous… they aren’t Death knights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCr7y4SLhck) they are Revenants.
(edited by Letifer.4360)
Its not a plothole.
Ingw1 you could complete the Prophecies and Factions storylines as a Dervish or Paragon even though both of those events happened in the pastIf you create a revenant you do so knowing that you are reliving the past although your character is grounded in present events.
Just as if you killed the Lich as a Dervish you did so knowing you were reliving the past, even though your character was already dealing with Abaddon.
I still see plot holes with the reliving the past theory.
Did my Revenant go back into the past or is he is remembering what he did in the past? Either way there is still the plot hole of a Revenant before Rytlock.
Is he still in the present but experiencing what happened to another? If he is experiencing someone else’s story, then is he going to be called Commander afterwards? The other people in that story, Logan, Traehearn etc don’t know him because they did it with the person whose story he experienced, not my char so they have no reason to call him Commander.
No its not a plot hole because it’s not part of the plot.
The whole thing in GW2 wasn’t you going to the past, thats how I’m explaining it.
It was non-canon. In other words it wasn’t part of the actual story. If Rytlok is the first, and your human characters starts in DR to beat Zhaitain its a totally non-canon experience.
I don’t believe that Rytlock is the 1st to ever exist, that would mean that he had to go back in time to teach us how to be a Revenant… I think he is just the 1st we see in game.

It’s a very ugly Ranger
- Natural Resistance: Halves the duration of conditions applied to the user.
This trait need to have some drawback or requirement, otherwise it’s too strong.
The drawback can be: takes 100% more condition damage.
I don’t even…
There is no race currently in GW2 that I would like to play aside from the ones already available, I would like something new instead of Tengu…
Heroes could come back if ANet implements something like the garrisons from WoW, its a nice mini game that could also be played in a mobile device.
Are you sure Anet was working on HoT since release?
There is no way in hell they where working on HoT since release. Some of the features coming where never planed to be on an expansion, they where just patches like the one we got some time ago.
I don’t know if Rytlock is the 1st Revenant to have ever existed, I have only seen that he is the 1st to be shown in the story I would like a confirmation on that.
They did say in the Pax announcement that Rytlock is the first Revenant. That seems rather clear to me.
That’s not clear enough for me, first to ever existed or the 1st we see? If he is the 1st to ever exist how can we play as a Revenant as soon as Rytlock leaves the mists? I’m sure he didn’t teach as how to be one.
Since personal story has always been about race and not about class/profession I would say that they won’t get special treatment, I don’t know if Rytlock is the 1st Revenant to have ever existed, I have only seen that he is the 1st to be shown in the story I would like a confirmation on that.
The F abilities will probably be similar to the Elementalist but instead of elements it will change the skills based on past “Heroes” like Mallyx etc.
Necromancers are getting a GS specialization and I think that the Marjory and Belinda affair was foreshadowing of this. Marjory’s GS is imbued with the ghost of her sister (which apparently didn’t go to the mists). It seems likely that the new necro specialization would also feature GS with ghostly powers this may blur the lines between the two further. They still are very unique though.
I highly doubt that the Necro GS specialization has anything related to what happened to Belinda and her sister. I’m still very curious to know what the new class mechanics will be since Death Shroud will be replaced with something else maybe.
This ones:
- Abaddon;
- Grenth; (related to the Ritualists)
- Dhuum. (because he is a bad kitten )
If they need to be dead then only Abaddon qualifies I guess…

As I suggested here (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/Specialization-Trinity/first#post4738182)a few days ago, I think that they’re going to be introducing a Trinity system in HoT. Why? Because it would rid the game of the current Berserker standard as well as set up for more challenging fights.
What is the part about the problem not being the zerker equip don’t you guys understand?
The problem is the content, and lets say they add content that you cant do in zerker gear, the meta will change to lets imagine p/t/v, now everyone will use that, the problem is still the same.
1 set of gear will always be preferred over the others, unless each class has its own and unique set of gear like they have in other mmos like WoW for example.

Maybe it won’t have access to GS all the other heavy classes already have access to it, I don’t know if that was a melee staff on the trailer or a land spear, personally I would have loved a 2 handed axe for this new class…

I believe this expansion will be out earlier than that, 1 or 2 months at most.
Bromancer, can now use Chuck Norris beard.
Doesn’t look that good to be a legendary…
It does seem like a mini expansion.
That can be fun though. Eye of The North for GW1 was quite fun.
Eye of The North feels bigger than this (because we know almost nothing about HoT), so many dungeons and maps and all the new pve only skills, the different farming locations where fun too, we need more info on this HoT expansion.
I will be pre ordering ASAP.
Surprised at the number of people saying they aren’t sure or won’t get it.
So far the only interesting thing for me from the info we got is the Revenant class nothing more, have no idea of how many maps there will be or what else pve related there is, I couldn’t care less about pvp and wvw, that makes me think that I wont buy it unless there is more to it that we don’t know, if there isn’t anything else ill probable stop playing GW2 entirely I’m afraid.
Meanwhile over in the corner Engis weep about their forced hobo sacks…….
Bah engineers are getting flying turrets.
Where did you see that?
It was in the trailer. Dude with the hammer and 3 flying drones was a specialized engineer most likely.
Those are mines, they behave like a shield.
Really? I didn’t see them explode.
They disappeared as soon as the engi got close to the 1st mob
No, his charging into the mobs just leaves them behind. They didn’t explode, they just went offscreen when he moved faster.
I will re-watch it but I doubt that I am mistaken, those things will disappear then close to mobs either by exploding on contact or by receiving damage instead of the engi, it also fits in a melee theme like the one we see with engi with hammer.
If it’s the same PS, I’ll likely actually use the lvl20 boost too, if it’s a new region or even an entirely different PS, gonna do it from scratch.
1-20 is ‘how to play the game’ anyways.
Personal story is tied with race not class, it will be the same story as always.
I would agree with you, but it depends on how they want to handle “I became a revenant” since it’s absolutely and specifically mentioned that Rytlock is the first and his apothesis is much much after the normal PS.
They don’t explain how you get to be any of the classes during the personal story.

It will be really jarring if they just plonk the Revenant into the existing personal story.
My personal hope is that they create a new personal story/modify the existing one specifically for the revenant. Change the characters from DE out of the beginning and have the order dialogue focus on Mordremoth rather than Zhaitan for the rest
Personal story is tied with race not class, you will get the same story as you would get from the race you choose.

50$ would be high, considering you pay less for the game at this time and that includes ALOT more then the expansion will have.
Also with the insane skilllag and even servers crashing in WvW, I don’t see how they can ask alot for a half working game, it also would’nt help bring people back that love WvW, if the lag doesn’t get solved and a price like that is asked to join in on the new map.
Just imagine the lag on the 1st day of the expansion in the new zones…
We don’t know how many maps they will include in the expansion…

The number of new maps and other pve content (raids, dungeons, fractal maps) will make or break it, so far I will not pay more than 30€ for this.

I still don’t know if ill be buying this “expansion”, so far I’m not interested enough to buy it, I was expecting raids and I’m still waiting to know how many new zones will be added with this because they said 3 biomes but didn’t say how many zones.
I couldn’t care less about PVP, GvG and WvW, so aside from that all I get is 1 new class , an undetermined number of zones and some new features… this is a very very small “expansion” if this is all there is to it.
Charr, I have been waiting for another heavy class to make a Charr.
There aren’t any races in GW2 that I would like to play (aside from the ones already available)
Ill do what I always do log in when LS is updated do it in 30.. 40 min and log out until next update.
