Is it because it’s an odd match up to the point were it’s somewhat funny?
I’m trying to figure out if this is my internet’s fault or ArenaNet’s fault.
While playing this game I occasionally get some sort of lag where I can move but I can’t do anything else. Can’t use abilities, talk to people, fight anything, etc. This is follow seconds later by me being kicked into character select with a message telling me to relog and try again.
I’m not really sure why this happens. Anyone wanna explain?
Doesn’t make much sense to me.
1. Is all the debris scattered around from Scarlet’s attack on Lion’s Arch?
2. I don’t understand the loading screen. Nothing in Kessex Hills resembles it.
Thieves have a trait: Meld with Shadows
(increases duration of Stealth effects – 3s becomes 4s)Pro Tip: Read your traits and skills from time to time..
My thief is currently only level 18 so no traits yet and limited skills. Excuse my noobiness. ;P
3 seconds only gives you the option to use a stealth attack. It’s not long enough to escape or get past some powerful monsters or anything like that. Pretty dumb if you ask me. So is there anyway to increase the duration or is that all you get?

So summed up, the Gods put the humans on Tyria, expecting them to do great things for the world, but when the humans kittened up and took Ascalon from the charr, they said kitten it, gave them magic to make it interesting, then grabbed the popcorn and enjoyed the show.

I’ve started to play Guild Wars 2 full-time instead of casually like I use to. I rolled a thief (only level 16 now) but I’m having trouble with PvE because most of the personal story, events, skill challenges, etc. involve fighting multiple enemies. I can easily take down any enemy 1v1 but when I’m against say 1 “boss” and their multiple “minions” It’s impossible to do it. Is it because I’m playing thief? Or do I just need to build survivability? Or would I have this problem with any build or profession and I need to just try harder?
What do I do?
Besides the big damage which is hard to notice on bulky enemies.
Is that the execute abilities (abilities that do more damage the less health your foe has) usually have the word “mercy” in the title.
The definition of “mercy”: compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.
Doesn’t make sense to me.
This is exactly what I thought while playing my first Charr. I’ve played all races, and Charr definitely have the most fun story line. I just loved how being a theif in the ash legion, it was actually like you were a thief. You went on stealthy missions and assassinations. Where as any other race as a theif, you feel out of place.
I was thinking of trying out a Charr Necro, but I’m not sure what legion he’s be in. I know it wouldn’t be Iron. I was think Blood and Ash. Blood because a Necro like to torture their enemies and make them suffer and to me that sounds like Blood. And then Ash because of the darkness and stuff like that. What do you think?
Umm… doesn’t really follow the correct criteria for Charr names so… yeah…
As for the second one, Catnipp must be very mad at his parents for naming him that.
Here’s mine: Tyron Silvershard – Ash Legion Theif
Hi there! I was thinking of making a ranger. What race should I make it? Which race do you recommend? Which race has the most fun gameplay? Which race is best fit for a ranger? Thanks!
So Sylvari just popped out of nowhere and I was thinking that the Sylvari were made to replace Humans. I mean, let’s face it guys, the Humans are probably doomed to extinction. So I was thinking that the Sylvari were created to replace the Human’s place on Tyria. What do you think?
Hi there! I want to make a ranger but I’m not sure which race to make it. I absolutely hate Asura, they’re just little balls of ego, Norn males look fat rather than muscular, I really love Sylvari, but I already have 2 of them. And I also already have a human (and frankly I don’t like the human male hairstyles). So that leaves Charr. But does a Charr ranger make sense? If so what legion would they be in? And don’t pets look weird with Charrs? I mean it’s an animal that has another animal as a pet. Thanks for your help!
I’m just going to make this quick.
Q1: Which profession is the most fun and enjoyable to play?
Q2: Which profession is most wanted by other players?
Q3: Which race has the most fun and enjoyable gameplay/story?
Q4: Paying attention to Lore, which professions fit with which races?
Q5: Which race has the best racial skills?
Q6: Which profession is best at PvP?
Q7: Which profession is best at PvE?
Q8: Which profession is best at WvW?
Q9: Which profession do you recommend?
Q10: Which race do you recommend?
I may add more questions as I think of them so please check this post every once and a while. Thanks so much for your help.
This is similar to my problem. I want to roll a ranger but all the hate I’ve been seeing just doesn’t sit well.
It’s not the purple part, purple is my favourite colour. It’s more the butterflies and such.
Hey there. I’m trying to choose a profession to stick with and play to level 80 with. I need a class that is a balance of offensive and defensive. And are there any tips or some kind of motivation to keep me going because I always make a character then delete it after around level 10. Thanks for the help!
Hey I’v heard about Mesmer getting a lot of praise so i was thinking about making one. I just have one small problem. This may seem really silly but, isn’t it kinda… girly? I’m afraid of getting laughed at or something for being a male Mesmer.
I know people have been raving about the mesmer, but isn’t it kinda.. girly?
Hi! I’ve been having trouble finding the right class for me. It’s a big probably because I can’t even enjoy the game because I usually just get my characters to around level 10 and then delete them. So in other games I usually play the offensive role. You know, Assassins, Rouges, etc. Now I know, guild wars 2 professions don’t have roles, but I just want a high DPS and I don’t care for defense at all. I’m looking for a class that can finish fights quick. Now don’t suggest warrior. I have played a warrior multiple times and it is dreadfully boring. So thanks for your help in advance.
So I was just wondering what weapons I should use for PvE. Thanks for the help.
On the forums I’ve seen a bunch of people talking about kitten. What does that mean? I’m new to GW2 so sorry if the answer is obvious.
Thanks for your help. It’s hard to like a class when everyone on the forums seems to be bashing every single one. Anyone else have any ideas?
I really need to decide on a class to stick with because whenever I think I’ve found the class for me, I end up getting it to level 10 then deleting it. I’m pretty much going to be soloing everything I can. I don’t like tank-like or defensive classes. I like to deal some really good damage and be offensive. Anything that can fit those standards? Thanks so much, I really need the help. I need to find a class I can stick to.
So forgive me if this has been asked before, or if the answer is obvious, I am fairly new to the game. So I was wondering which race was the first to appear on Tyria? I know that Asura where pushed out of their homes underground, and that nothing is know about them since. And that the humans were brought to Tyria by the six gods (or so I’ve heard, is that fact?). Thanks for your answer.
I did a real quick sketch of a sylvari hair/face I and my freinds would kill to see in-game, hope it’s alright ;o Sylvari are my favorite and I need more on my character list. All of them, all the Sylvari!
OMG I LOVE THIS HAIR GIMMIE NAOW
I pretty much only like 2 Sylvari hairstyles so I somewhat agree.
Charrs stand straight when they salute, so I guess being hunched over is more comfortable, so they only stand straight when they need to be formal.
Alright so I have a Sylvari Warrior and a Charr Thief. Which one should I make my main? Which one will have the most fun gameplay experience?
I hadn’t known I could go to other race’s starting zones. Thanks for the help!
Hi there! I’ve been playing GW2 for about a week now, and I have a problem. It seems I’m always below the level suggestion. So I’m usually doing quests and those heart things at a lower level then I should be. It’s really hard to keep up. And once I’ve reached the level, the level suggestion is raised again! Can anyone help me. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any fast ways of gaining XP? Thanks so much for your help!

Alright so I know that the player creates a Sylvari’s name but from a lore perspective, who names the Sylvari? They have no parents. Do they name themselves while in the dream? Does The Pale Tree name them?
The one thing I love about Sylvari is they’ll look good with any profession. So just choose whichever class you like best, you can’t go wrong!
I, as a Sylvari, know that my people are always looking for ways to learn, and I believe that attending an Asuran college would be an incredible opportunity.
Hi I wanted to make a Charr but I’m not sure what profession to make it. I would have made it a Warrior but I already have a Sylvari Warrior. So what profession should my new char be? Thanks for your help!
Sylvari awaken full grown, so will they grow old like humans? Also, how does the pale tree create Sylvari?
So I was wondering how long an average Sylvari would naturally live for.
(edited by Leviathan.7459)
Well, Charrs are born warriors. They live for war. So if you want to go a more lore correct path, a Charr is perfect. But don’t count Norns out. Norns or big, mean, big, and nasty. Did I mention big? Anyway, Norns are good for Warrior because in PvP/WvW they are intimidating. So whichever race you choose, you can’t go wrong.
Hi! So in the game sometimes when I complete instances, I am able to choose between 3 pieces of armour. The only differences between these pieces is one has Power, one has Precision, and one has Vitality. Is there a difference between these three stats? If I choose one over the other will it make a difference? If so what kind of difference will it make? What do each of these stats do? Thanks for your help in advance!
I just got Guild Wars 2 and I’m trying to decide on a class. I’ve narrowed it down to Elementalist and Thief. Which one is easier to play? Which one is more fun to play? Which one is best in PvE? PvP? WvW?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Anyone else have any ideas?
Hi! I just bought Guild Wars 2 and I have no idea what class to pick. I’m looking for a class that has high DPS and is fast. So basicly I’m looking for a class that can finish fights really quick. Is there any classes that fit that? Thanks for your help in advance!
