Thank you guys for supporting my case here.

Now when Arenanet will see that it is not only my case, but other players suffer from it too, maybe they will do something with it.

The “mute other players minis” option would be perfect I think. I know there are other players who hate SAB minis sounds, I would work for them too.

you can turn them off in the game settings tab of the game . and you can even turn off your own sounds too. but we still will hear you and we can still hear our sounds from items like dreamer . and back packs like the hoho tron and so forth .

so you open up the game go to the little cog wheel on the top left side of the screen.
from their you look for game options . and then go to settings from their to sound settings and right at the bottom of the tab is where you can turn all that stuff off or on if you like .

also too you can turn your music volume down in that same tab and a few other sounds as well too .

yes I looked there, unfortunetly there is no option to mute minis.
I tryied to mute players items (like some back items with sound effects or legendaries) , players instruments, nothing worked.

To mute minis I would have to mute all game sound effects . But I hope I wouldnt need to do that. I want to hear all cool sounds , all music.

Anet spend lots of time and money to produce all that… but if there will be no other way I will have to do it. Isnt that sad? All that amazing music and sounds will be muted because of one (bugged?) mini…..

I must say I am at the edge.. sometimes I loose my nerves and I start saying bad things to other players that use that mini… I shouldnt do that but I am just really frustrated. I have been raporting this problem for over 3 years now..

all other anyoing sounds got mute option already..

And I am not the person who get upset about every single funny sounds. You can play instruments near me all day long. I dont mind dreamer or hero-tron backpack.

but this one sound .. this one horrible disgusting sound… why anet why

Imagine if everywhere you go you would hear that horrible throw up sounds. I cant play and enjoy the game because of this anymore.
Its a torture!
Please if any Dev read this , please do something with this.

I love this game, but there is one thing that sometimes make me quit the game as soon as I come near any bank or TP.

Mini Toxic Hybrid

For some reason lots of players like it. But this mini have horrible and disgusting sound effect. And it play it every few seconds.

Near every banks, TP, in VIP areas, everywhere, I hear it. It is making me sick. Why make such a horrible disgusting sound and play it so loud and so often ?

Maybe something is bugged and other people dont hear it so loud. I asked few people and they agree that maybe something is wrong on some sound cards or configurations.

You can hear these throw up sounds from like 2000 range!

Do something with it Arenanet please!

or add a minis mute option or roll it into players items chatter mute option.

there is a thread about it in ele forum.

There are people who like this.
And also a people who like me dont like it. I prefer not having effects when not in combat.

I love when skins start glowing or get some special effect when entering combat. It feel right. Just like legendary armor.
And when I am not in combat I dont want any visual noice. I want to look calm and not like a christmas tree.

So I also hope it is a bug.

It would be good If a Dev could confirm if it is a feature or a bug please.

And if it is a feature maybe add new option that will allow us to disable proffesion effect when not in combat (would also work on Rev)

ATTENTION please read:

shameful truth about the mounts hate.

Long time ago when GW2 was about to launch, trolls and haters attacked GW2 using this argument:

“it is bad, there are no mounts”

GW2 defenders (players and fanboys) started using this famous argument:

“We do not need mounts because we have waypoints”

So ladies and gentlemen, this argument was used to defend the good name of the game. No-mounts was never one of Anet “manifesto” points. It was never design choice or promise. They just didnt do them , like lots of other things (like there were no raids or housing systems) maybe they didnt have time or money?

The truth is that this famous argument did not make sense. It’s like saying you do not need cars in GTA because you can use a taxi as a fast travel system.

This argument was stupid then and it is even more stupid now, as we have less and less waypoints on the new maps. Why? Because everyone noticed that it is much more immersive to run from place to place admiring the beauty of the world rather than teleporting like bots.
Some waypoints are still needed as sometimes you dont have time to run around. And thats ok. More options for travel is better then just one.
You want to get somewhere fast? Use waypoint. You want to immersive trave on the map? Use mount. You are mounts hater? Just run on your legs then, no one force you do use them.

So please all, stop using this argument. Waypoints are one thing mounts are something else.

some things to consider:
one of the most asked question about the game (you can check google to see If this is true) is – does gw2 have mounts?

one of the most requested feature (even on this forum) is – mounts system.

the thing I heard all the time from new players (go watch youtube gw2 first impressions vids if you dont belive me) is – game is great! if only it have mounts!

This new feature dont feel like something big company like Anet would take time to develop, it feel like someting immature and childish. I am embarrassed and dissapointed.

Its like Anet would agree to all that toxic behevior and want to please all these immature toxic kids and trolls.

I hope the game system will be able to accept the added load and not when we have mounts in a map had the amount of mounts removed in players, and maps fail due to mount-“love” We do NOT need mounts in old maps, cause we have a Waypoint system…

what If I like mounts for fun and immersion and I dont care about fast travel? Why do you think you know what all players want? Why mount haters act like you are the only true players?

pvp and fractal vendor require you to craft these 500lv craft tokens. That made it way more expensive now.

You don’t start reading a book 20 pages in or starting a movie at the 15 minute mark – even if one of the characters roughly recaps the story at that point.

It is bad storytelling and a significant misstep by the developers and the narrative team.

It is possible that raids introduces our new main villain. (Lazarus) and anet want to tell that to majority of the players in recap? That just dont feel good.

Eeerrhm… please correct me if I’m mistaken, but way back, when raids were first released as the “top tier hard content only a few players will be able experience”, didn’t the devs also say that their story will be completely separate from the main plot?

Then why is the trailer full of Xera’s castle and White mantle hints? You know… the stuff that was supposed to be contained to raids? Hello? Or do you think most “single-player people” (where personal story is analogous to playing any singleplayer game on easy/normal difficulty) will just handwave being basically told “Oh we can’t let you experience all of the story because you’re not good enough/dedicated enough player, so just catch up.”?

(And if some smartpants Jack runs over here to tell me to “learn 2 play noob and go raiding”, I actually am a raider, I’m killing the raid bosses on weekly basis, so it technically doesn’t concern me, but that doesn’t mean I can’t find it a bit of a kitten move towards those who can’t raid, in case it’s what it seems to be.)

I am not main WvW player so I dont track all the news. But I heard about this “Major WvW Overhaul”. That suppose to be in making for over a year. They even talked about its beta we would be able to play in 2016?
What happened to it? Are these world linking and scoring changes and pvp reward tracks that major overhaul ? Or will there be something more?

Your guild must decide by the look of not restored buildings.

Restored look doesnt matter because you will never be able to do it. It cost milions of sand and flax. It will take your guild years to gather them even if you will farm silverwaste and dry top whole day every single day (and nobody in their right mind will do it)
By the time you would gather that sand and flax no one in your guild will be playing anymore. They will get bored and angry.

Logos you simply don’t understand that most of flippers don’t even lose money, the most money lost is by people who actually try to buy items that they need! And the money sink doesn’t even matter if small and big people pay taxes with same rate.

So if they sell lets say thousands of materials for thousands of gold they pay both TP taxes thats 15% of that thousands gold being destroyed. They are loosing if for the sake of better economy (less inflation). Of course they are making lots on money anyway. But well, so what?

Everytime there is an voting, election or something, politicians promise that they will make bigger taxes for rich people so poor majority of socienty will vote on them. Because they are just jealous of their money.
You know what rich people then say when they hear that? They say “why you are punish us for our success?”
So you want to punish flippers because they are making money better then other players? why?

Again I am not flipper, and I am not rich, I have only 1 legendary, rich players have 3 or more, or all of them.

many people (including me) are hunting for world boss items that are needed for tresure hunter collection.
There is one world boss that is making me angry on other players. I think that it is a problem . Players should not be angry on each other (outside of pvp maybe) The point of GW2 is to be happy when other players are around, not to be angry on them. Devs told us that many times.

So what is happening when some people are wating for Lyssa to spawn and there is that event that must fail in order to spawn world boss and some players who may not know about this are doing it?
I know its not their fault, they are just doing what game always told them to do, they doing event to complete it.
And people who are waiting for event to fail so they can do world boss get angry.

I dont think I need to say more? It is an obvious flaw in this meta event design.

Just remove that deff event, let the risen take control of the temple after some time and just go to next phase.

Thats not how elite spec work. You must understand ele was already top tier dmg in that zerk build. If they add more things to it it will be crazy broken.

DPS ele didnt need any more love, its on top already. So they wanted to give more options to support ele. Thats why tempest dont have % dmg in traits. And his skills are so supportish.

This game is all about DPS now, so I know you feel bad now. That your DPS ele wont get new things. But remember about Anet plan to make support builds usefull in challenging content in HOT.

I will play DPS ele and tempest support ele in HOT. (will also play with condi too)

This is their plan, and it is amazing! Let us play with builds, add more options to different roles and playstyles. Give us opportunity to use that other not DPS builds.

The fun time is near brothers and sisters ele. Lets enjoy!

Guild Halls decorations interaction

I am wonder about how much we can interact with decorations.

We know, we can place them on floor as we want, and rotate them and that we cant scale them up.

But can we place them in air? Can we rotate them in any axis? Can we put one decoration on another?

So in other words can we take 3 wall-like decoration pieces, put 2 on floor and then put third above them , on them, rotated on side So we could create a kind of bridge structure?

I am asking because it look like the best thing this expansion will deliver. That could be used in future expansions to make housing system or custom fractals/SAB maps editor, If it is powerfull enough.
Interaction and customization is what I am looking for in games. System like that can keep people busy for a long time. And that is good in mmo game in moments when you are “wating for content”. Let players make content, play with tools like that and they will be busy, so they will let developers work on next updated in peace.

So can any dev tell us how powerfull is this new decoration placing system you have made?

If they add more specializations , they will also add more skill (hero) chalanges on new maps (in new expansions in future)
So you will have to do these chalanges , explore new maps, and then you will have enough hero points to unlock all thats new.

think about expansion and future new specializations. We will use hero points to progress specialization tracks with new skills and traits and more.
If we would use old skill points , that everyone have more then they need, lots of people would instantly unlock all things.
And now because we will get only few hero points , we will want to do these new hero chalanges on new maps to earn more of them.
So it will be more fun and will take some time after expansion (and thats good too). You want to play the game, not unlock everything in first 5 minutes.

You might want to stick to speaking for yourself. For as long as this game has been around people asking for mounts have stated that they want them for fast travel. Should we assume that they were lying when they specifically stated what they want or that you know better than they do what they want?

The second one. They feel the need for mounts and they think it is because they want fast travel but what they really want is immersion. If they wanted fast travel waypoints will be more then enough.

I have one request to all mounts haters.

Please stop saying we have waypoins.

People dont want mounts because they want fast traveling.
They dont want to skip content. Its waypoints that make people skip content! No one run on map, all just use waypoints.

People who like to dive into the game. Who like to feel it. Feel the immersion. They like to run from one place to another. If you never tried it you have never experience the amazing feel of gw2 world.
And all who have tried it know that something is missing here. When you run from Fields of Ruin to Silverwastes you have a feeling that your legs hurt… And you know that you could use a mount.

People dont want mounts to skip content or fast travel. They want them to feel the immersion.

they could nerf or change it but they will just fix it by deleting racial skills!

so we have:

1 no racial rewads tracks to get racial skills
2 they would have to make 17 new skills for F5 skill for engineer
3 Anet want all skills to have their types to work with traits , impossible with racial skills
4 some racial skill could be too strong with some elite specializations

that all show that racial skills will be deleted!

Show that you care about them!

Asura without golems is not an Asura.
Charr without warband and weapons is not a Charr.
Norn without transformations? Even norn NPC use it in fight.
Sylvari without fancy nature themed skills?
Humans without Hounds of Balthazar and other prayers? What will be left from all that God’s lore from GW1? Statues?

Maybe just delete all races then? If you delete racial skills all races will feel the same. B-O-R-I-N-G

Its time to show that we care about racial skils even If we dont use them often.

As far as I know there will be lots of extra hero points because unlocking Profesion Reward Tracks only take points from leveling to 80 and few skill chalanges.

There is a possibility that racial skills will be deleted. Even WoodenPotatoes foreseen it. Why? Look:

- Anet want all skills to have their types, so traits will work on all of them. You can’t add type to racial skills as they are available on all professions.

- Anet would have to add 17 extra F5 engineer skills , for all racial skills. (Lots of work ;_; )

- Racial Sklls dont fit this new fancy Profesion Reward Track system.

Solution:

Add Racial Reward Track. We have extra hero points so thats no a problem to add one more reward track.
In this small reward track we would be able to unlock our racial skills and maybe some skins from racial weapons skins pool. (in the dream world – new T4 racial armor sets)
And our Antitoxin Spray and our Mistfire Wolf skills. (By the way Anet, you cant delete Mistfire Wolf, people buyed deluxe edition for that skill, you know that?)

You dont have to add types to racials and Mistfire/Antitoxin. But the problem is Engineer right?
He have F1-F4 skils for other not-elite racial skills and antitoxin. So you know you must add F5 skill for Mistfire Wold and elite Racial skills? Too much work? So you want to just delete racial skills and antitoxin/mistfire wolf instead Anet?

Then hear me now. We would rather have empty black skill slot in engi skill bar then have our racial skills deleted.

Even If we dont use racial and mistfire wolf skills often, we love them. As we love our characters and their races.
Asura without golems ? Human without anything related to their lore . their gods? Charr without warband support or Charr weapons? Norn who cant transform? Sylvari without anything related to nature?

Really, some of the gold making claims in this thread are outlandish. Not only claims of sprockets from wood, but 15 gold from one casual event playing/farming run!

If you mine rich nodes you get stack fast. Its free money. I run around doing events and gathering some platinium and iron and thanks to this pick I get like 15 gold extra on my farming run. You still think it is not an adventage?

How many get 15 gold extra from one of these picks on a event playing/farming run combo? Each regular node gives on average one sprocket. At 2.53 silver each, that 590 sprockets. If each regular node gives on average one sprocket, that’s 500 to 600 nodes. In the quote above, he is claiming that he is harvesting some nodes while doing events and getting this amazing 15 gold.

Saying things that are completely untrue makes the people who dislike that pick appear desperate enough to resort to outright fabrications instead of sticking to the facts to make their point.

Not normal nodes, I said I farm rich nodes they give more sprockets. (some normal nodes in between rich nodes too or course) And not on one character. I have many alts. I dont get 15 g on one “run” = 1 character of course. I mean after all day of farm I get like 10-15 gold extra thanks to selling sprockets from watchwork pick.

@Jaher Dal this pick dont give a shards that are accound bound, it gives sprockets. You sell a stack for 7 gold. If you mine rich nodes you get stack fast. Its free money. I run around doing events and gathering some platinium and iron and thanks to this pick I get like 15 gold extra on my farming run. You still think it is not an adventage?

this is a big problem.

People who said this is not a problem obviously own a watchwork mining pick! And are afraid they will loose it? Come on, dont lie…

It is a problem because like others said, now you dont have a choice. If you want to buy infinite mining pick, you only have ONE choice. If you choose anything other then watchwork you are loosing money everytime you mine.

What would you advice to your friend who want to buy his first infinite tool? I bet anyone from this thread who know how watchwork mining pick work would advice a friend to buy it.

So as we can see, we have a big problem here. If they dont take this sprocket bonus from watchwork pick, no one who know how this pick work would choose/buy other picks. And we want to have a choice based on animation and look of the tool right?

They can take this sprocket bonus because watchwork pick owners will get angry. They should not give bonus to other picks because it will make even more problems. And start to get us closer to pay2win.

Anet make a huge mistake with watchwork minig pick, and they know that, we all know that. And there isnt any good solution now.

I said all this as a owner of watchwork pick by the way.

The only fair solution is OP idea. Give watchwork owners a new item that when hold in backpack give sprockets while they mine, regardless of what pick they use. So now all who would want this bonus and a nice mining pick will have to pay 2000 gems. 1000 for watchwork for bonus item, and 1000 for mining pick they like.

Also Arenanet please by sure to never make anything similar to watchwork pick, learn on your mistakes

but Cyninja what will happen with engi? They making new skill slot for his elite skills. All his elites skill will get new “tool belt” (F1-F5) skill.
They would have to make 16 new skill just for Engi. Because there are 16 elite racial skills. Also lets not forget about Mistfire Wolf elite skill. So they have to make 17 new tool belt skills for engi!
Because of that even Wooden Potatoes think they will just delete racials. (and maybe they will even delete Mistfire Wolf skill that people paid to get…)

They also said they want to add all skils to some category. So now elementalist tornado elite will becaome a Cantrip. So traits can work on all skills. And again what with racials? They cant add them to category in traits.

you dont have to make them stronger or make engi F5 skill for them. Just leave empty F5 skill when equiping racial elite skill ok?

Playing Asura withhout golems or playing charr without all thess cool weapons are fun, dont take if from us please.

If you dont plan to do more alts, just eat them now for skill points that will be converted into new currency later.
