Oh I know that game ! That’s the game my Mesmer is not playing anymore also. I just use it as a mule to hold loot like a extra bank. It never leaves Lions Arch.
It really depends on the fractal level.
At higher levels boons get stolen by bosses and used against your group so boons are a bad thing which is hard thing for people to get used to.
The Zerker meta is great for lower level Fractals your in – kill boss and trash – your out fast and get your loot.
I have run my Zerker Mesmer up to level 86 so far and It gets really hard to run Fractals that high.
Bigest prolems so far for me in Fractals is new players running a fractal and not informing the rest of the team that they are new and don’t know what to do So we have to carry them through it which is not fair to the rest of the team.
Also people who go into higher fractals with out the proper AR thinking they will just dodge it or people will just res them if they go down this also is not fair to the team.
My Advise is get into a Guild that is willing to take you along and teach you the ropes then when you are comfortable enough you can PUG them with confidence.

The meta right now it play a thief or Necro
At least thats what it seams to be like now everyone is playing thief I never seen so many Thief’s before in pvp like 3 sometimes 4 on each side almost every battle.
Why can’t the matchmaker put in one of each class make it fun and interesting ?
Unless there is not any other classes being played ?
Is thief the new Meta for PvP now ? Play Thief or don’t bother playing ?
I have nothing against Thief and I don’t mind it when there is 1 maybe 2 per group but this is not much fun always having to fight the same class each time.
…if they want to rip bunker meta why no changes with druid? Like, no nerfs at all?
Its gonna be as always. Small buff to scepter that wont change anything in pve nor pvp(maybe breaking some scepter trait in the process), and to compensate, Alacrity will be nerfed to the ground cuz people yell at their favourite scapegoat.
One hope is that their last nerf(Well of precog) was reasonable… long casting time sucks but given the noise every druid and rev was making i was expecting wells to be destroyed..maybe just maybe they wont destroy alacrity too.
Ill tell you why ! Because no one posts a video on youtube about them doing 34K burns because of a druid buff that they got. Druid does not increase the effect of everyone in the group by 66%. Im sad about the Mesmer and I will most likely stop playing mine after the massive nerf. I am really sick of the nerfs being so hard hitting they already nerfed PU by 50% and now they are nerfing another ability by 50%.
Why cant they just dial it back 10% and see how that works if its not enough maybe another 10%. There seams to be no fine tuning with them everything seams to be cut it in half !
I agree 100% the good old days are gone forever It will never be the same.
It would be nice to allow us to put the rings into the Mystic Forge maybe for a chance to get a Amulet or Accessory.
So If I understand everything correctly the reward buff was for the Daily chests only ?
If so then there is no point to doing anything other than the quickest possible paths to completing your Daily fractals .
Also there are daily chests for 1-20 and 21-50 why not 51-75 ? and 76-100 ? That is how the LFG tool progression is set up.
I hope that the high level fractals give more rewards otherwise no one will do them.
You have to put forth a lot of effort just to get your Agony Resist up high enough just to do them plus everything get so much harder at the higher level fractals.
I guess its a question of Risk vs Reward !
It is still unclear if they mean all chest in fractals were buffed or just the daily chests.
If anyone out there has feedback on the higher tier fractal Rewards I would love to know I myself am only at personal level 80 right now trying to decide if its worth it to go higher.
Could have just made it 4sec cd I would think.
But it really doesn’t matter cause not that many using birds atm right or no?
It probably has to do with birds as I would trait this and keep almost 100% blindness on targets which is kinda OP.
I will miss it.
But then again I gave up all hope on my druid shortly after it came out and put it into the closet of " Nerfed to death ". It is highly unlikely that my druid will ever see the light of day again.
So, basically, they slapped a 12s ICD on a trait because they couldn’t be bothered to program it so it would proc a bit after to prevent exploits. Awesome.

I seam to recall the Dev’s stating that healing power was under powered in the game so much so that no one really even considers it when building a character.
And they said that was bad for the game ! ( I am guessing because they want all stats to be important and worth taking )But I have yet to see a positive change in healing power at all. did they simply forget about it sense no one uses it anyway ????

They said healing gear stats didn’t scale well, that was the issue.
They also said the zerker meta was unhealthy for the game.
And guess what the new raids call for the Zerker Meta once again 8 out of the 10 players in the raid end up being DPS All because there is a timer which means you have to take the boss down as fast as you can.
So really nothing has changed.
So Ranger got Druid specialization which helps ranger how ? Raids ? A Very small part of the game. They should have made the Guardian or Ele the useless healer. I would have been more happy to turn my ranger into something cool that does more Dps kind of like the Necro or some real world useful skills like the Chronomancer.
Or If they wanted to make the ranger a healer make it flow into the class maybe the arrows now heal people they past through or explode into a slpash of water that heals people near the point of impact.
But giving the ranger a healing form that does no damage was just bad Form.
I can use the Great Sword 3 skill and unless I hit something it does not put me in combat ( good for getting around).
But If I use the Staff 3 Skill ( which does no damage at all I might add ) I get put into combat and it actually slows me down. Am I missing something or is it a bug ?
I don’t understand why it would put you into combat unless you hit something with it and do damage. Just plain stupid !

After a 5 minute fight with a thief.. this is how much my AF bar was able to generate..
This is with full ascended nomad’s w/ Druid ruins and Minstrel weapons. On heal with Druids my healing power goes to a little over 2500..
So basically unless I kited around using Staff 3 and GS 3 I would be bursted down by any class.. As full support.
You have completed ruined the Druid with this.

And if you actually got to use AF it would have lasted … 15 sec tops maybe.
So you heal as he pounds on you with his weapons and then when your AF is done he still kills you. That is the problem AF does not change the outcome of a fight it just delays it a tiny bit and its not like you can deal any damage when in AF so he has nothing to fear from a druid in AF anyway.
Lets face it its a Poor design for a healing class the person who designed it should be ashamed.

It goes away so fast I almost never use it. Maybe Im wrong and I would love to see some replies here to show me how valuable it is.
Why cant it just be a permanent skill like other classes have ?
Even the Necro death shroud lasts way way longer.

Now just give me credit for kills done on people I heal so that I actually have a reason to heal them !
If I go into a healing form that just heals I should get credit for keeping people alive who kill stuff including WvW fights.
It doesnt even need to be full credit just some small reward for keeping people from dieing.
Yes as I stated in the original post I have druid selected for all types WvW / pvp / pve each one has druid selected.
I move from WvW to Lions arch and it removes my staff I go from Lions arch to pvp and it removes my staff.
And yes I have druid selected as one of my elite skills for all play types pve / wvw / pvp ect…. I know you need to have druid in order to use the staff.
Why is it doing this ? my other weapons are not affected by this transition.
The outnumbered buff does nothing to help you over come the fact that your outnumbered.
When its 5 vs 30 what good is a small exp boost and magic find ???
Its not like your going to kill any of them to take advantage of the exp and magic find bonus anyway.
Change it so it gives you at least a chance to over come the huge numbers. Give the outnumbered people some bonuses that matter.
Well I don’t see the wells as a bot function because they actually do damage so if I use them I will at least be getting kills and doing DPS which means Bags in WvWvW.
As far as a druid in celestial form yes your doomed to heal the group who will in turn get all the credit and kills and Bags while you get Nothing but a warm fuzzy.
I am not a veil bot for anyone I need all my skills to survive I run solo in WvW and never in the many years have played have I ever seen a group say they have room for or need a Mesmer.
But if I had a dime for every time I have heard the Zerg leader shout that he needs a Veil i would be rich.
You Leaders do not want to get us groups and you scream at us when the Veils are not perfect and never give us credit for doing a good veil.
I stopped Veiling for Zerg’s because they just do not care about you and treat you like garbage.
You Lead Zergs and want a Veil play a Mesmer !
DPS is King in this game and doing damage to the enemy is the only way to get Bags or loot + kills and Credit.
A few Examples :
Mesmer uses Veil on a zerg and helps them win the battle but gets nothing in return for actually casting the Veil.
Elementalist uses Waters to heal people and gets nothing for doing so.
And the list goes on i could spend all day finding skills that help people win fights but do zero dps and as such they do not count twards getting loot or credit for kills.
Is there no way to reward players for helping the team win by using support skills ?
Maybe give supporters a small chance for partial kill on a enemy that was killed by someone they helped.
It seams like these 2 crafting professions got put to the wayside all of the other crafting professions are capped at 500 with tons of new stuff to craft.
Chef and Jeweler did not get anything. Still capped at 400 with nothing new or exciting.
I hope this is going to be addressed in the expansion at least.
Ok, Veil is maybe an overrated skill, but let’s talk about an underrated Skill: Sigil of inspiration
I don’t know if it’s worth it in this “small” gvg groups, but with 3+ Mesmers you can stack boons to a ridiculus amount of times. (+3min swiftnes, +2min furry, +1min vigor +2min regeneration ~1min protection)
with ~6 mesmers it’s pretty easy to maintain these bonns on a +30 (Public)zerg.
You can run from your spawn to any point on the map, and be buffed all the time.You get surprised by an ennemy? no problem, your zerg is already buffed and ready to strike back. And once you’re infight, it’s verry likely, that most of your zerg is moving around with more boons than usual.
Teamwork + Sigil of Inspiration is a very strong tool.
Your zerg may notice the differenceAnd huh surpries surprise, the mesmer dosen’t lose that much (he can still burst and survive) if he specs for boonshare, but his team will gain a lot.
Yes you are 100% correct on the sigil but people do not know enough about it and and what your talking about is asking way way to much of people. Good luck finding 3 Mesmer’s to run that in a group and know what it does and how to use it !!!!
If you had a full group of Mesmer’s all running that Sigil with +20-30% Boon Duration + each one doing mass invis with the PU skill the whole group could potentially have 8 perma boons running all of the time it would be so OP it would get nerfed.
I shutter to think of a 5 person Mesmer Group with perma boons and im guessing perma stealth if you timed it right. All running around in WvW that would be one scary bunch of people to run into if your alone. I hope that never happens to me.
Rangers are like the red headed Step children of WvW.
No one ever says I have one spot in my group for a Ranger.
No WvW leaders care if there are any Rangers at all in their Zerg.
The Ranger brings nothing to the table for groups that any other class cant do better.
And this applies to PvE Dungeons as well and im expecting it to be the same for Raids.
Our last and only hope for the class is the long awaited "Druid ". Will it be enough to save the Class ? We can only Hope and Pray.

Druid is going to be Ranger Elite and has nothing to do with Mesmer.
So you want to run with the Zerg ?
Chances are you will never get a group Because people just do not see the advantage to being in a group with a Mesmer ( fair enough ) . Get used to running solo with no help at all. (yes even if your in a WvW guild )
The zerg leader will always want Mesmer veils and Portals. And do not be surprised if the leader swears at the mesmer’s when that veil is not spot on perfect or they have to wait a micro second for you to hit the button and place the line in front of them ( Most of the time while on the run ).
And when the leader says Mesmer’s type ( M ) in chat so they can see who to appoint to veil 1,2,3 ect… and your the only one who types M out of 40 players don’t have a Heart attack ( Yes the " Zerg Mesmer" is a dieing breed) .
I do not think people realize how hard the job really is. Or that your giving up a valuable slot on your bar for Veil that could be used for something else that might save your life .
They treat you like a Tool to help win the battle.
And no one ever thanks you as a Mesmer even if your Veil won them the fight.
I am seeing less and less Mesmer’s out there in the Zerg’s but after playing one for a while I can completely understand.
Well the build I use is geared more for survival and I usually end up not getting a group so my build has super healing, condition removal, stealth and perma swiftness and regen.
Because if you are dead you can’t portal or veil the zerg witch is really important for zergs.
To give the zerg veil you cant stay way behind in the back line like the other casters because that veil has to be in front of the zerg leader and some times it even requires you to place it on the run.
One well placed veil can mean the difference between a win or lose for the whole zerg.
How many classes have a skill that can affect the whole zerg ?
being a zerg mesmer is a thankless job most people do not appreciate zerg mesmers enough.
Finally word of advice " Stay healthy my friend ".
Ok so I have a regen ranger I use to do PVE.
My thoughts where exactly like the other posters here but after much Theory Crafting I came to the conclusion that my regen Ranger is even more powerful than ever.
With Resounding Timbre giving both me and pet perma regen + Signet of the wild which heals both me and pet every second + Invigorating Bond (2500 Heal every 20 sec ) + heal as one every 16 sec ( healing me and pet for over 7 k + 12 sec of regen ) + companions defense Protection buff on me and pet every time i Dodge. + Empathic Bond : Pet Periodically takes 3 conditions from you. + the grand finally kicker { BARK SKIN : 50% less damage to pet and 33% less damage to ranger when your health is above 90%} Insane heals plus you and pet take way less damage I just don’t see how you can go wrong.
I have almost 1,000 healing skill each shout heals over 3k with regen if you use runes of the trooper you can remove a condition each time you use a shout or runes of the Dolyak which gives you another passive regen which is about 100 regen per sec with my healing skill.
With these types of numbers our pet can probably tank better than any player in the game ( my bear pet has over 52,000 Health and with all the healing and damage reduction thats insane ….. ) I have been in dungeons before where the whole group has wiped and me and the pet fight and finish off Boss mobs alone. If i am at full health and dodge roll putting a Prot buff on pet the pet takes 88% less damage while that buff is on.
Even with out the buff if you do the math a 52,000 health pet taking 50% less damage is almost like having a 104,000 health pet.
We lost one passive regen but gained so much more.
My only complaint is that the pet can not agro very well even if it uses beastly Warden Taunts. If the pet could maintain 100% agro all of the time I guess that would be to powerful.
If I read correctly the new patch indicated that all gear would give 30% more to stats.
Does that include Runes that give stat bonuses ( divinity and travelers ) ?
If it did not then are less effective now than before correct ?
Yes it does give you the 20% but it does not show up on your character and you do not see it on any of the tool tips.
It would be nice to see this fixed so you can make accurate decision’s when building a character.

I am coming back from a long rest and i have Superior Runes of the Trooper on my Warrior and Guardian. I am almost certain they removed a Condition on my character before.
But the Description says " Shouts remove a condition from each affected ally. "
And I tested it out and it does not affect " ME " unless im doing something wrong.
Did it get changed during a patch or something ?
They need to ditch the Pigs or re-do them all over, start from scratch.
I wish they would make pets level up and give them skills you could train as they level .
I would like to see more Aquatic Pets maybe a Dolphin or Barracuda.

I have told people I do not mind they swapping after the boss is killed in fact i have even offered to watch the cut scene while they swap ( That is more than fair right? ) . But they reply that they do not trust me to watch the cut scene ???
I guess i need to make some friends in game who are able to log in the same time that I do so as to avoid all of this PUG problems.
I just keep thinking there must me some way the Developers can fix this problem so that people will not be able to take advantage of others.
Do other MMORPG’s have these same issues ?
So many times I am grouped with a player who swaps thier character out on the last boss so he can level thier lower level character .
1. They never ask permission .
2. They are not even helping defeat the last boss but are getting all of the benifits. Including the hugh exp for thier lower level character.
3. to me it seams rude to expect the rest of the community to level your character for you .
And the ones who do ask if they can and i say no either get all upset or just do it anyway. I guess they feel like they deserve it .
I am not really sure why they made my pet so totally useless in WvW Part of the reason is the Nerf to its health in WvW part of it is the AI.
But every ranger skill, Trait, Weapon effect ect … that has anything to do with the ranger’s pet is Basically Useless. I counted 23 traits alone that effect the ranger pet in some way, shape or form Which makes me believe that the pet is a very important part of the Ranger as a class.
In WvW Never does a Leader ever say " I got room for 2 more, any Rangers out there need a group ?" Its always the same old “We need more Guardians or Warriors or Ele’s”.
They have become the holly Trinity of WvW.
Well from what I am seeing on the forums the winners are upset that they did not get more for their efforts. Bragging rights and a finisher move was not enough I guess. I personally Learned that people will stoop to new lows when it comes to a Win. I would like to see more personal WvWvW rewards. Some people rode the coat tails of others to their win. And others played like champions only to lose no matter how well they played. And now the server randomness will be cut down even more, chances of you playing against a new server is all but gone now. Your server will be stuck playing against the same 2 other servers 95% of the time. It will seam like the same old same old. Nothing new or exciting to do or see move along.
I never thought Blood Lust buffs were a good idea all it does is turn a bad situation into a worse situation for those who are outnumbered. I honestly do not know what the numbers to ratio is in order for that outnumbered buff to turn on but it really does not do much for the side that has lower numbers. They need to rename it to " You do not want to be here right now because you are seriously outnumbered and your going to die a horrible death buff " I can remember it only appearing when things were really really bad. And that buff is not going to help your team turn things around at all.
Like you stated in the patch notes it says " In PvE maps " which means that was the intent, for it to only apply to PvE.
I love my ranger and I would love to see some more health to my pets in WvW but they worded it correctly and on purpose.
I do agree with you on the F2 skill.
I have had this happen to me a few times now running Dungeons and it seams to surface right after a cut scene has played.
Maybe its because I am trying to use a skill the same time the cut scene starts ?
I hope this helps to duplicate and fix the problem.
The tooltip says " Spray a jet of water at Foes that also heals allies in the blast radius"
Radius is 240
So I tested this on multiple mobs and it only hits one mob. Should the wording not say Foe ( single ) instead of Foes or is the water blast supposed to be able to hit more than one foe and it is not functioning correctly ?
The Server or Servers that are doing well get Bloodlust boons now that make them even stronger.
And the side that is getting beat down hard is getting
+20% Magic find
+33% Experience
+10% World Experience
Take no Armor damage on death
Well if you can’t kill anyone because they all have +150 bonus points to power, precision, toughness, vitality, condition damage, and healing power
then what good is your outmaned bonuses?
You need a bonus to help you beat the people who now have huge boons and large overwhelming numbers. It is not an incentive to play in Outmaned its a incentive to leave the map is what it is.

Sick ‘Em will now apply ‘Revealed” to enemies they target.
Ok I am missing something here, If your target uses stealth you no longer have a Target correct ? So then does the pet just go after that last thing you had targeted or do you need to use it before they stealth ? Or maybe its a AOE Ground target…..
Support is never worth it ! You need to do DPS to get rewards in both PvE and WvW.
Doing Damage is the only way to get loot from a mob or enemy player. Healing or removing conditions on people will net you Zero loot and Zero credit for enemy kills. This game was designed from the start for everyone to look after themselves for healing and survival.
Credit: Healing and Condition removal provide no credit towards kills or loot tagging and that’s just silly..
YES this Part of the game just does not make sense to me. There is a way for me to trait my character into helping others in WvW but no real reason or reward for doing so.
And if the fix for staff is just to make my useless water heals larger or heal for more then they are wasting time. I would like the water fields to do DPS and maybe heal for half as much at least that way I would get something for casting the spell.

Ok so I usually do not post here. So forgive me if I am doing something Wrong.
I have played my Elementalist for a while now mostly I only use Staff.
Healing in a Area is great for Dungeon runs where keeping my team Alive is essential to me. It provides me the ability to turn the tide from my group having conditions on them and almost dead to removing most of the conditions and healing huge amounts. Also my field’s are providing lots of classes the chance to use finishers ( which I might add not many people take advantage of them like they should.
Now for WvW if im solo or even running with a Zerg , If lets say I provide healing to 5 players near me and I prevented them from dieing and assisted them in killing other players because of Healing The Game mechanics do not reward me for doing this at all. The only way for me to get loot and Ranks is if I do damage to the other team and they die.
So for WvW DPS is King and unless they change the system it will remain so.
I think it is a shame that support classes who help people in a kill no matter how it is done do not share in the rewards.
Maybe if the system rewarded players for assisted kills by way of condition removal or Healing we might see more support minded players.

Other armor sets with Magic find are getting a replacement stat to fill in for the listed Magic find stat. It would probably be fair to do the same for Celestial gear as well.
Maybe just increase all the the Celestial Gear stats by 1 or 2 to compensate for the MF stat loss is my suggestion.
I would like to point out that is is also possible although rather Rare for you to mine a " Charged Crystal " from your home instance Node.
So there is a small chance that you can actually get 2 per day if your lucky enough.
And I can only assume that special pick axes and guild bonuses will help with this effort.
