Got quite a lot of respect for both servers even though I haven’t seen too much of AS which can be understandable. Also like how both of you (AS and Far Shiverpeaks) still try fighting and won’t give up even though you’re pretty much outmanned most of the time.
At the people doing /laugh, well every servers have those but I myself have been bowing or cheering occassionally for AS or Far Shiverpeaks as I really enjoy fighting you guys compared to the RS/AM.
Could always wait till most players leave so it’s only yourself there and perhaps 1-2 more people. Easiest way to get it then in my opinion compared to achieving it with a full room.
afaik it’s still impossible and will remain so until they add ascended armor/weapons or amulet/accessories infused recipes to give us more AR since they don’t want us to progress further than to 49 with the current AR that’s available.
Also the trick doesn’t work because the agony just gets reapplied again upon resurrection.
I kinda want the weapons to still be rare and not easily obtained via pristine relics but a 1:1 trading system for people who already have skins but not the ones they want as mentioned in some posts above sounds like a pretty nice idea imo. The RNG is bit funny in someways since people usually don’t get the skin they want, for example some of my guildies get 2-3 fractal hammers but all they want is the sword, and the person wanting the actual hammer gets everything else but that.
Before I’d kinda prefer a system where you could get the skins easier, but nowadays I kinda enjoy the rng even if it’s crap sometimes… because if I could obtain the skins easily someway such as buying them with pristine relics or w/e then I wouldn’t bother with fotm anymore once I had all the skins I wanted.
So in my eyes, a system where you can buy the skins with a currency has its good sides and bad – you finally get the skin you want, but what are you gonna do now? more fotm? why bother when you can buy the skin you need/want etc etc.
Maybe it’s just my view of the whole but I kinda feel like the skins are what keeps fotm alive atm since rings/relics are so easy to get and we all know how most gw2 players tend to get bored once they have what they want and scream for more content which Arenanet can’t or won’t push out because they’re working on 1000 other things at the same time.
I’d say if you want some challenging content, then do odd fractal lvls above 51 up to 79. Now once you’ve done this a few times it might not get so challenging anymore but imo it requires more effort/teamwork compared to all the easy mode dungeons out there.
Since you’re aiming for support then I’d say go full cleric. You won’t really need the extra hp imo, I myself do just fine with 13965 hp and if im fullstacked then I get about 1700+ healing power which is quite a lot and using dodge food together with sigil of energy swaps x2 is just ridiculous healing output :P
I just bought the new rings with pristine relics. They cannot be infused in the forge.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
It’s like Anet is intentionally screwing with us by introducing more and more slots without fixing the ones we already have. The treadmill is definitely taking its toll on me.
Wait what? If you buy them with pristine relics you can’t infuse? But with laurels you can? Please clarify.
The new rings infused recipes weren’t added in this patch by a mistake or something and will eventually get fixed.
About the topic ~ Had a feeling that accessories would be added to the laurel system aswell as the amulet. In my opinion it’s pretty frustrating to have yet another patch update where another ascended piece is added to the laurel system instead of adding it also to the FoTM vendor.
I enjoy doing Fractals and I don’t mind grinding for weapon skins and rings even though the RNG doesn’t always favor me but being forced to grind tasks that has nothing to do with the instance itself in order to get ascended gear to let you progress further in the instance makes no sense to me.
Arah/HotW takes more time to do than TA/CM and from my own experiences I’ve found it easier to find groups for TA than CM.
TA is also good for speedrunning since you can skip most of the trash.
Not sure if this has been brought up already but I figured I’d tell about it since it’s happened to me from time to time.
Basically sometimes when someone dies and another player tries to res the dead one they get the F option to revive but nothing happens, even if you spam the F it’s the same result. This kinda creates a problem for the new system with no WP’s which I actually like, but when this bug occurs the dead player has to wait for the rest to get out of combat to use a WP/Checkpoint and resurrect since the manual res won’t work.
I’ve encountered this bug in Fractal of the Mists and also in Arah. My theory is that it has do something with where you die, for example if you die on a level of surface that isnt plain so a bit of the body gets inside the map and perhaps creates the problem.
Would be nice to have an option to get it somehow instead of RNG. Personally I never complained about RNG with the rings because I get them all the time (without pristines) but weapon skins are so rare it’s not even funny and it’s what I want the most, and doing a daily 28/38 over and over and never getting a single skin can be quite discouraging imo.
It’s still doable to do it with an organized group, but obviously not intended to do it as the difference from level 38 with 35ar is 6% agony dmg per tick where as on level 40 it’s 30%
Imo this was the easiest and fastest daily by far.
Just grabbed like 6 golden moas, couple of river drakes and skales in Queensdale and by using 1 dodge I’d get up to 5 at once or more.
It does, so guardians in TA fw,up path have no problem ranging it unless you have a guardian with tunnel vision that only uses staff and no other ranged weapon

Just do the run with your main (80 exotic) then switch to the lvl 45 at the last boss instead which will make the run quicker than you doing the full run on the 45, just make sure you don’t open the instance or it will reset when you switch chars.
Ha, now all I need is a lvl 80 character! I guess I should just hope for people to run story modes until I get to lvl 80 I guess.
I would suggest leveling your warrior with crafting instead since you don’t have a level 80 but of course it’s your own choice after all and doing ac speedruns are much smoother and quicker with a full 80 (not saying it’s impossible with a group of low levels but it takes much more time), but let’s say you haven’t done any crafting then you could basically get 30 easy levels from maxing out jewelcrafting/artificer and chef. All three are cheap to level for about 2g each though you’ll need some karma recipes for chef which includes a recipe from a lvl 50-60 zone but you could level chef last and gain +20 levels from the other 2 and get 65 quickly then after the remaining 10 levels up to level 75 and from there you’re not far away from your 80 character :p

You and your teammates should equip any form of res skills your class have, for example guardian: signet of mercy, warrior: battle standard, elementalist: glyph of renewal and so on so you can res downed teammates without going near them unless it’s safe~ (Dead people should release right away and run back obviously)
Whoever has aggro should kite lupicus away from the team just as the rest of team stays away from whoever has aggro, this person also has to dodge precisely when lupicus comes toward them to avoid being knocked down.
Sometimes this person also goes down eventually and it can be bit hard to res that person as lupicus will start his aoe attack shortly after and finish off the downed player with it, but if you have a guardian with a shield they could rush in just before that and use their Shield of Absorption to save them from the aoe and then res quickly.
Guardian isn’t a must for this fight but it sure helps to have one due to aegis that can block lupicus’ projectile that he shoots out sometimes (like a fast whip) in between the aoe attacks, and well for the aoe attacks just dodge them.
The main thing for phase 2 is basically staying alive as phase 3 is the easy one.
Which classes do you have in your group btw, and also do you always make sure that lupicus doesn’t eat any grubs in the beginning? It’s doable to kill him even if he eats 1 or 2, but it makes the fight longer and deadlier due to him getting stronger/better armor
Lost count of how many times players asked for this to be fixed, been so long now that I almost think the devs are satisfied with their players fixing their problem using a mesmer as entrance into arah instead <_<
It’s 30 minutes minimum wait outside of a dungeon since the time inside it doesn’t trigger the timer. Also don’t do story mode while waiting since that also seem to count as an instance.
yep he’s easy to beat but he’s a waste of time in my eyes and for what, a wp and a chest? The wp you won’t even need unless you have a group of low lvls (less dps, survivability etc) that tends to die like flies.
It’s also probably okay to skip him, why else make a way to pass him from the sides?
