From the Wiki: The Fractal dailies are on a two-week rotation.
I was wondering if the powers that be might re-work this a tiny bit. I like the idea that there’s some level of rotation to this. But the problem I have with it is that our guild and I’m sure other guilds have their Fractal night on the same day of the week each week. So we tend to end up doing those Fractals more often than others. Yes, I do suggest doing some of the ones that have been overlooked. But why not have the Daily Schedule on an odd number of days rotation. I know that exact 2 week sets are easier for coding, but after a fashion, it can get a bit stale.
So, please add an extra day’s worth to the schedule. With just a minor tweak to the daily selection.
TIA
Looking for that gaming home where you can hide from your kids? Need a place where the daily drama/grind is put aside? Come give us folks at JUGs a look. We cater to the older gamer who’s looking for some fun escapism. There’s a great relaxed atmosphere where you’re free to just hang out and adventure with like-minded ‘Adults’. We don’t always act our age, but that’s half the fun. We have a good mix of men & women gamers from across all NA time zones, even some players as far away as Australia. There are regularly scheduled events, including the aforementioned Thursday night Fractals. Come, give us a look. You just might find a gaming home that suits your needs.
If you are an older ‘Big Kid’ looking for a relaxed guild of likeminded Adults, then this just might be the guild for you. I joined the JUGs back in April of this year, after playing the game solo since day 1. Best gaming decision I’ve made. There truly is a great group of folks in the guild. Friendly, helpful and generally a lot of fun to go adventuring with. There is a good atmosphere within the guild and the open concept that allows us Adults to have a level of control over our gaming experience is a refreshing approach to running a guild. There are scheduled events and if none match your time of day, our current interest, you are free to post up an event of your own. Come, give us a look. You just might find a gaming home that suits your needs.
Just adding my name to the growing list of people stuck on this Heart Quest trying to do map completion.

This perhaps?
Thank you! This was what I couldn’t find.
Hi All,
I was running my Thief in Lornar’s Pass this morning while having my 1st tea of the day, just doing map completion for fun. As I arrived in the Durmand Priory, I spotted a Vendor I was unfamiliar with. He had a map symbol I had never noticed before. Since time was limited, I figured I’d take a mental note and look this up on the Wiki. But I’ve been unable to find any reference to this Vendor. He was selling a mixed assortment of items. Some Named Armor set items as well as other items in exchange for “Mordrem ???” Not sure what the 2nd word was. But it looked like a collectable item. I just assumed I’d be able to fill in the details from the Wiki. But I’m unable to spot anything.
Was I seeing things (possible)? Did my wife spike my tea (hope not)? Or was I just not looking this up well (probable)? Or did I run into an documented new Vendor (perhaps)? Anyone out there have some thoughts, info or the correct link on the wiki that can help me out?
TIA
Hello All,
Since the go live with the HoT on Friday, I’ve yet to be able to complete any time spent in the Silverwastes without loosing my connection to the game. Last night I managed to log in at 8:05 and was unable to open the daily reward chest before I lost connection. Earlier in that morning I got cut of just before the Breach. That one did not amuse me, since when I got back on, I was in another instance and could not get back in. It’s happened after the Champ farm post VR. Prior to that time, during a chest farm. Even this morning during a chest farm. So there doesn’t seem to be a pattern.
I’ve been able to create & play the new class and level him up in Queensdale, all while learning the class just fine. I’ve taken my Guardian out into the new zone and wandered around doing whatever. Took the time to get the hang of gliding. Spent 1 hour just getting the new class quickly leveled and geared without issue last night. Spent some time crafting all that I’d need for him without issue. I’ve managed all these other game play styles without a single loss of connection. So I’m wondering if this is a know issue, or am I just having bad luck in that zone? I don’t want to spend my life there, but I do enjoy the semi-coordinated aspect of the events. And the loot’s not be either
Any others with the same issue? Did I miss the thread about this problem?
Scribe, you must be in law or studying law
The post you linked can certainly be interpreted this way. Although the ‘portal’ in question was not quite the same. But an event taxi can be considered as a form of portal. I do have to admit that I’m guilty of the ‘join & leave’ practice in SW.
One could argue that large scale events do require a certain level of participation and thus a taxi for that ‘legitimate’ need could be a grey area of acceptable! But would it warrant support from Anet in the form of my original request?
An indicator would be nice, sure.
But you’ll want to be careful, using LFG to taxi people is technically against the rules.
Isn’t the whole point of the LFG tool to allow players to connect into the same instance? I read the WIKI: <a href=“https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Taxi”>Guild Wars Wiki</a>! and there’s no mention of this being a bad/banned practice. I could be wrong…
Excuse me if this has been discussed in the past, but I was wondering why there’s a way of knowing if the map you are in is full or not. I’m often in SW and as most of you who frequent this zone know, allot of taxiing takes place once the events reach a certain percentage of completion. Many players are asking if the map is full and the only way to know is to attempt to taxi more in and hope that someone who’s denied access advises you of the map being full. As someone who’s been on both ends of that failed taxi, I’d prefer to avoid it. I’m annoyed that I can’t join and I feel bad when I’ve done that to others. As you know, after just a few failed attempts to join a map, you are blocked from joining another one for a period of time. I know I’ve opened the game and tried to join a party that was listing say 75% and been denied, so I try the next that says perhaps 80% and been denied. Now I’m locked for a bit. This lock could block me from joining another map at say 50%. If those who advertise knew that their map was at 90 of a possible 100 players. Rather than mass spamming for more people, a coordinated request or 2 would be done. If the map was at full capacity, then there would be no need to spam for more.
Yes it’s true we can swap our 6 through 9 skills. But we still don’t even get to pick the ones we may want. Plus they won’t do much good if I’m running around in silverwastes and sandstorm champion appears. That fought must be ranged.
As someone above said what does a d/d ele do? Well very simple they swap to a staff.
This! There are times going into a battle I know I’d prefer to use a ranged weapon. My Elementalist has the D/D but also a staff. If I’m going to fight a Champion or Elite, I really don’t want to have to go toe to toe with him. I’ll swap out to staff and do my thing. In WvW my Warrior uses A/A switch to GS while roaming on my own. But when I see I’m going to battle with others, I switch out to use a Longbow as I’m running in. When I get to the battle, I have an option to melee or range it.
I’d like to see some ranged weapon on this class. I had tons of fun in the beta and look forward to the “Evolution” of the class. I know they are not 100% done with the class tweaking, but as stated, another weapon option might be in order.
MiniEquine, The query should be quite simple, it only takes milliseconds for the game to tell us we can’t use the name we typed. As a database designer/developer I’m used to doing simple queries to multi-million record tables. The key is in the indexing! ( Big fan of Oracle ).
I do agree that creativity and thinking outside the box is the key. Often I and I guess others, draw their inspiration from all to common themes. In GW1 I went with a Celtic theme for my Elementalist naming him after a Celtic fire festival. Then preferred to use Air magic and ran an Air Spiker build. Go figure. Hoping to redo my fun character, I went with an Air themed name in GW2, and find I use Fire most often. The class is not at all the same game play. I’m not ready to pay for a name change contract!
I too find this the worst part of character creation. I tend to spend more time on this stage of it. I have even abandoned the process due to frustration and lack of time at that moment. I’ll admit that perhaps my name ‘creation’ is not as ‘Creative’ as it should/could be. But to waste that much time at the final step is a major PITA! I had issues during the head start weekend and spent quite some time creating a few characters that day and I still have issues sometimes. The only names that I didn’t have trouble with that day were the ones that came from linking my GW1 account.
Here’s a thought: Currently we can search the leader boards for rankings of other players on this site. Could there not be a character name search screen developed by the Anet team? All names must reside in a database somewhere, why not allow us to query that table prior to our attempt to create a new character. The odds of the name you decide on being taken by someone else while you are creating the new character 10 minutes later are quite unlikely 3 years into this game. Just a though…..
I just buy the character slot, it’s not that you can only buy it when it’s on sale though I get it; something cheaper for the same is always nice. Remember, you can always use the credit card to buy gems, it’s not that expensive.
ProtoGunner, I never pay full price for anything. Except my Harley! Most everything else in life comes on sale at some point in time. Just my personal choice, but I’d prefer to wait rather than spend extra coin. Even virtual coin has some minor value. Although, I’ll admit to dropping my CC down in GW1 for the 2 extra slots. But there was no other option in those days.
I believe we will all be getting a free slot with the expansion anyway.
if the company holds to its roots and does like it did in GW1 there will be 5 new toon slots with the game. and i for one hope they hold to this
but yet it would be nice to see a sale on toon slots as well very soon
Ham, If memory serves me, and sometimes it doesn’t. I believe GW:F & GW:N could be played as “Stand Alone” games. I think each came with 4 slots. But if you added them to your GW:P account, they only produced 2 extra slots. I believe it was the Beta for GW:F that gave 1 free character slot to those of us that took part in it.
Hello Anet,
Like the title says, how about a nice sale on characters slots? It’s been some time since that last one. Unfortunately, that one was during the time there was an issue with the currency exchange. I’m sure I’m not the only one who missed out then and is still waiting for the sale to come around again.
There’s been quite a lot of new Skins & Outfits lately. I’ll wager there’s more than a few people who might want a new toon to display those costumes on. I’ll also bet the Altoholics might be looking forward to this kind of sale. Some folks can never have enough characters.
So how about it? Could we please have a sale on Character Slots?
TIA
Unfortunately there is not a simple solution. But there should be some concept of Party Leader. Thus, blocking the kicking of that leader.
The other day I was in the Silverwastes. We’d advanced the progress to about 90%. I started to Taxi in people so we’d have enough to do the Breach & VR. I ended up getting kicked from the Taxi party I created. Which in turn stops others from getting into our instance. There was absolutely no reason for it, just punks having fun.
I assume that there’s a need to kick AFK people or s**t disturbers. But there might not be a way to prevent some child like behavior. For the OP’s case I feel bad, for me it was too minor. Anet might need to look into a more logical solution.
Thanks for the replies. Looks like I’ll need to take a few minutes and have a look at each item and treat them accordingly. Many of the Exotics I get are the named ones. Cobalt, Bonetti’s Rapier, Truth etc. I guess that perhaps the skin might have more value than the Sigil on the weapon. I assume that I should always get the Sigil using the BLSK that I can sell for coin. Since I don’t have the time or inclination to buy to salvage, I should be ok.
Hi All,
I am wondering what is the salvaging point as far as dollar value for Exotics is. Above 2gold = Sell, below = Salvage? I’m looking to acquire some Dark Matter in order to craft some Ascended gear. But I’m a bit hesitant in wanting to salvage items that can fetch a few coin on the TP. I’m not poor, but I’m not rich either. I’ve already crafted 1 Greatsword and I’m looking to upgrade a few other characters. At the cost per weapon in material alone, I’m looking to balance my funds out. Basically I’m just looking for the general consensus here. I’m sure by now the sweet spot has been defined. But since the Dark Matter can’t be bought, I’ll need to salvage some stuff.
TIA
Mike
The Silverwastes will also give you some. The Heirloom Seeds and Embroidered Coin Purses that you get there from killing bosses & opening the Lost Bandit Chests will also supply Bloodstone.
Hello,
Champ bags give tons of this stuff. The Frostgorge Sound farm will give you all you need. The meta event ‘Breaking the Ice’ as well as the other Champs will do it just fine.
Wish I could have given you the stacks & stacks I’ve deleted
Well, that seems simple enough. Thanks for the quick replies.
Hi all,
Weekend mornings I like to chill in game by having morning tea and mindlessly farming “Breaking The Ice” meta event in Frostgorge Sound. Killing an hour or so while I wait for my wife & daughter to wake up. As you know, this farm works best when you’re partied up. I’ve been fortunate to party up several times with the same group over the last while. We work well together without much verbal communication. We’ve added each other to our contacts list. But the problem is, I’m on the Crystal Dessert server & they are on a different server. When I log in, some times I see a ‘3’ on the little Contact icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Sometimes not. But by clicking the icon, I see that all 3 of them are online and in FGS.
Why do I not always see the ‘3’ listing them as online? Is it because they are on a different Megaserver? If so, how can I get to their instance so we can party up? I prefer to farm with them and would like to just join in with them rather than look for a random group on the Megeserver where I am instanced.
TIA
Ok, so it’s well worth it to salvage out these items as well. Then sell the mats on the TP for my profit. As I’ve read here, this applies to ‘Light’ armor only. Is there a desired kit to use? Or will the basic salvage kit do the job just fine? All other items ( under 1s ) I’ve been salvaging, have produced this result. The silk does sell well. Just didn’t take note or chart the salvage results to gauge possible profit long term from these items others are willing to pay for.
Hi All,
I have a question. Why would somebody pay 6s+ on the TP for a level 80 green item that’s worth under 2s at the merchant? I have obviously missed a memo that explains this
Should I be salvaging it for mats & luck myself? Or was the buyer expecting Rare for that price and the TP allows me to sell them Green? Other level 80 green stuff is not wanted on the TP. Could I get clarification on this please!
It’s funny cus their whole new thing that anet is trying to push out is dynamic events. How can they do that if a large chunk of current events that are already in game either never start or bug in the middle.
They are wanting to push the NPE but many of the DEs right out of the gate in Plains of Ashford are bugged. These are all the first impression DEs that the New Player’s Experience.
1) Protect the weapon parts from the Flame Legion: The followup: Clear the Flame Legion cave near the wrecking yard. No longer follows up. Seems to happen a few minutes before rather than right after.
2) Lure out devourers to get at their eggs – Kill the giant enraged devourer to quell the uprising. No longer seem to start. They used to be on the same timer as Kill the rampaging skale. Now who knows? Upon 1st instance of the zone activation. But never after that?
3) Clear the lake of tar elementals – Destroy the Flame Legion braziers – Defeat the Flame Legion Shaman. This chain doesn’t seem to ever happen anymore. Or again upon 1st instance of the zone activation?
4) Kill the rock drake broodmother . Lord knows what sets this off. Might happen once per day. Or upon 1st instance of the zone activation?
These are all the baby DEs that new Charr characters will/should/might come across. What is the message being sent to New Players? Nice game we have here, but it doesn’t quite work right yet?
Just a friendly thought but, can we slow down on LS & feature patches and get the core game stabilized.
This is definitely broken. The skill 5 only becomes visible very rarely, and mostly the targets just die. And can’t activate the ring, tried talking to Bracctus as well. sigh
I’ve had this same issue on my Level 80 Elementalist. The skill #5 only becomes available once in a while ‘as’ the target dies. Much too late to use the skill. I remember doing this some time back and that #5 skill tosses the net. Which is the key skill to the quest/heart. I’m assuming the NPE is responsible since we’re down leveled to do the Heart.
From the Wiki:
Frostgorge Sound:
Drive the Sons of Svanir from Coiled Watch:
Adjusted the event timing after failure of the Defend Coiled Watch objective.
This would explain why the event chain was flowing as designed this morning. Needed that 3rd cup of strong tea to read the patch notes properly.
So can we give a big Thanks to Anet and move on please. Events get done, farmers get loot. Regular folks can enjoy extra loot when doing this because of all the farmers. Everybody shake hands and move along.
Because of the Daily need to do Shiverpeaks events today, I went to FSG this morning @ 5:20 EDT. When I got there, the zerg was doing the final event in the chain. There was a commander there controlling the zerg by telling them where to go and when to ‘Burn’ the Shamen. The event was completed correctly without a fail. Once done they collectively jumped on the FSG Champ train. A full round of that including the Trio and everybody lined up to restart the Meta event. Once it began, the zerg completed each event in the chain. The commander know how to stretch each event to maximize the Champ spawns. In the 40 minutes that I spent there, the entire Breaking the Ice event chain was completed. There was no attempt what so ever to at any time to fail any of the sub events. I collected 20+ Champ bags, 1 Rare bow & 1 Exotic hammer. All in all a fair haul for playing the game as designed.
This might have been an anomaly, but all that is required is a simple way to make the event chain flow this way. Simple timers should do the trick. With no advantage to failing, this is a fun run! Everybody wins!
The final part I’ve mentioned is Scalability. The number of Champs, Vets, Elites etc based on the size of the player base involved. From my perspective I’ve seen nothing wrong with it. The spawns don’t at any point look to completely overpower the players. Some might say that it’s a bit too easy. To each his own and I doubt that Anet can balance this much better. But that is why we’re discussing this. Perhaps others might see a way to make it more of a challenge. But that might be ok when the zerg is present, but when there’s only a few players failure might be more prevalent. I had noticed in the final event in the chain that Commanders who knew the event were able to time the demise of the Shaman in order to maximize the Champions that would come in. In the future, once the extra Champion spawns have concluded, the event can be complete thus resetting the overall timer.
Can we collectively find a solution to this???
Sorry, but I don’t think yet another nerf is going to solve anything. As an analyst/software developer with 16+ years experience, I consider this a poor excuse for not re-coding correctly. There’s been enough nerfs to last quite awhile. Time to rethink that theory. We all enjoy this game and want to continue playing in a fun environment. I’ve been thinking about this for a bit and had a thought. Can we as a community find a viable solution in the hope that the overlords @ Anet find it acceptable and adopt our collective resolution
Problem: As many know, the Meta Event in question has some issues. Mainly the ‘farmers’ have found out that by failing one of the sub events, at some point in the event chain, they can maximize their profitability. This can cause serious issues for adventurers and other players, who seek to complete the event chain for valid game/story related reasons. I will state publically that I do farm from time to time. I have nothing against the practice. I think it’s a part of most of these style games. It should be allowed to continue, but NEVER at the cost to another player. All players have the right to play the game the way they wish. ( I read that somewhere once ). Perhaps a bit Utopian, but let us see if we can’t find a solution to this before the overlords nerf this to death and we all suffer for it.
In the Wiki I notice that they make mention of a ‘Svanir Treasure’ at the end of the final event. As someone who’s completed the event more than a few times. I’m not familiar with any special treasure chest. I’ve gotten a pittance from the Shamans, but never saw some glorious treasure like when you take out SB per say. Please don’t tell me I missed it more than once ? The wiki doesn’t seem to have any detail on this. So I’m assuming I’m not the only one who’s not seen it. Or maybe it’s not worth mention. ( That might be something that needs a tweaking )
Elements: There are 5 sub events in the chain. Each has its own rewards, scalability & time constraints. These are the parts that we have to work with. So I’d like to start off with the ‘Time’ part of the equation. Although the wiki makes no mention of this, I’ve noticed that some of the sub events have a time constraints attached. Basically we’ve got x number of minutes to complete the event or it fails. Should an event fail, then the global Meta Event’s time begins anew. This in lies the current root of the problem. Fail event #2 and event #1 will restart quite soon after. Rinse & repeat to maximize the Champion spawns in a period of time.
Proposal: What if all 5 Events had a time constraint & the global Meta event had a time constraint that was essentially a SUM() of the sub event timers. The only way to shorten the restart time of the Meta, would be to complete the entire cycle. Theoretically, there would be no point to failing in order to get that quick restart. I have seen that throughout the entire chain Champions spawn during each event. So there will never be a shortage of prime targets. One can hopefully assume that the farmers will be content to continue the chain since there would be a steady supply of loot. The rest of the community will be able to complete their 1 time only run through the chain.
One drawback I see to this is, should at some point, the chain be broken because the available players failed it for some ‘Unplanned’ reason. There would be a long wait to get that 2nd shot at it. Usually I want my revenge against the machine. But overall, is this a major deterrent to the proposed theory? Is this a willing price/compromise to pay for harmony in the zone? If there was a 5 minute timer from full event completion to restart, this would minimize the wait time.
As for rewards, farmers farm for profit ( duh ). The above mentioned Final treasure would need to be worth something. If you can toast SB with a level 80 toon in a low level zone and get 0-3 level 80 Rare items. ( Lately, this seems to be nerfed a bit, but that’s a rant for another thread ). Plus there is the once per day guarantee of 1 level 80 Rare. You would think that a full event chain in a high end zone should offer something worth the effort. I am NOT talking ‘Precursor’ here. I’m not looking for mega loot of any kind. But there needs to be something worth 30-40 minutes of your time. Yes, the fun of the mass ensemble has some level of entertainment over the usual solo play. But that doesn’t particularly satisfy all needs. Balancing reward to make it worth the effort, but not make a player rich with repetitive event completion is part of this exercise.
I’ve left my level 80 Necro in the starter area of Plains of Ashford and he doesn’t see any nodes. Once you move past those areas close to the main city, the nodes start to appear. But none in the areas near the Black Citadel. ( Gunbreach Hills, Tela Range, Devourer’s Mouth, Lake Feritas )
They made a change to the Trait “Flesh of the Master”. Use a different trait until they fix/rollback whatever they did to make this unusable. I picked something else and all my minions work as they did before.
Have you also noted that the Copper ore nodes, Trees & plants have all been removed from areas close to the main cultural cites. New players now have to wait until they advance further before they can amass resources for crafting. Not sure how this helps them ‘enjoy’ the leveling process.
As long as you don’t use that trait “Flesh of the Master” that they messed up. Then your minions don’t die. I just tested this a few minutes ago. The latest patch still did not resolve this issue. But we can still run a watered down MM build
As long as you don’t use that trait “Flesh of the Master” that they messed up. Then your minions don’t die.
The patch didn’t help. But if you run a different Trait until they fix it. Then you don’t run into this issue.
I agree. Before it was 25min when you won now it is 15 with no exploit lol we farmers got lucky! Coil-Wurm-Quag-Drake-Troll-Trio FTW!
As long as everybody’s helpful and polite, we can ride that train till sundown.
They already changed the timer. 15min win or lose. That is great for farmers who don’t exploit. (me)
I think that was a good compromise. Failing as an exploit doesn’t sit well with me. There was always an uncertainty of what people were doing each run through.
But the OP’s suggestion is unacceptable. We’ve had enough nerfing to last us all quite some time. I’ve seen none of the juvenile behavior from the vocal minority that we had in Queensdale, which got that train nerfed. This is a high end zone, let them be. They are not taking anything from you.
From the wiki:
Flesh of the Master:
Slotting and removing this trait now kills all previously summoned minions, preventing previous minions with incorrect health values from remaining.
It might be that when we are up/down adjusted in level, they have to un-slot/slot this trait in order to do the math on it. I can’t see a need for this trait adjustment, but somehow they might have thought others were exploiting trait adjustment on the fly.
Tonight I’ll switch out that trait and see if the result is the same. This way we’ll know if it’s related.
There are 2 in Plains of Ashford. 1 straight out of the Black Citadel. There’s a small pen type enclosure to the left. The other is just north of that where the Skritt have their small cave.
I was out in Plains of Ashford last night ( Crystal Desert Server ) and I noticed that there were no Copper Nodes, Trees to chop or Plants to harvest in the area just outside the Black Citadel. ( Gunbreach Hills, Tela Range, Devourer’s Mouth, Lake Feritas ) not a single one. You can always without fail get your daily gathering achievement done in no time flat in this small area.
Is this a new feature for ‘New Players’? They don’t have the coin to buy the harvesting tools, so why put things to harvest? Or was this just a once in a million chance that none spawned?
Annoying, huh?
I second that! I use WvW as my access for everything. The guild vault is for non bound items and excess crafting materials. I do not want to pay a fee to go to a town just to access this extra storage.
I pulled all my extra coin & Ecto stacks out just in case they mess this up big time
You can add my name to this list. I was out trying to find those 2 new hearts in Plains of Ashford and they just kept dieing. I was looking in the wrong area for the hearts, but still, I could not figure out why the all died every few minutes.
Thanks to all for your replies. This explains things quite clearly. I’ll try to be less anti-social to my fellow zergers. If it helps others and perhaps me as well, it’s all good.
Hi All,
This may seem like a no-brainer to most, but why do people want to party up in a zerg? I seem to have missed the post where this was explained. If I’m in Queensdale doing SB or in FSG do the ‘Coil’ zerg or Champ farm, I get party requests from people. Is there an advantage to this? Will a party help our combined effort?
TIA
Dodgycookies,
Thanks for the info, this & what Avelos said helped to seal it for me. Since my motherboard bit the dust on Saturday, I had no choice but to order up a new PC. I went with the model that had the GTX 750. I guess the old one knew it’s days were limited. Good thing I back up to the NAS regularly!
Avelos,
Thanks for the reply. It’s been quite some time since I built my current PC and haven’t kept up on the newer tech. Good to note that the GTX 750TI would be the better choice as I’d like the larger hard drive that it comes with. RAW photos eat hard drive space.
Not too worried if the cards are not the industry standard. If you look up the minimum system requirements to play GW2 you’ll see my current PC’s specs. So this should suit me just fine for some time.
Thanks Again!
Hello All,
I have a question about video cards. I am looking into a new desktop system from Dell Canada. I was looking at the XPS 8700 model. I noticed that there was a different video card installed depending on which hard drive size selected, 1TB or 2TB. Not that there is a relationship, but that was the package .design. So I wanted to get better feedback on the 2 cards.
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 745 4GB DDR3 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB DDR5
I noticed that 1 has 4GB RAM while the other just 2GB. But the 750 model is a dual slot card. So my question is: Is it better to go with the 4GB card or will the 2GB card be just as good since it’s a “Dual Slot” card? My old notion is more power is always best. ( No replacement for displacement ) theory.
Now my primary usage for the PC is Photo Editing & GW2. I will most likely hold onto the PC for 4-5 years, so I want to insure the right choice.
TIA
Mike
4 karma armor items tossed in the forge for a salvageable / sellable item. The exact ones would depend on the best level items to salvage or sell and this is again dependent on current material markets.
About 1 month ago I used the “Cloth Crab Grabbin’ Gloves” method of karma to gold. I converted 980K karma into 80 gold. Yes this is tedious, but it still works. This was enough to get enough gems to buy another character slot. I’ve since worked up 125K karma and will be able to get the karma armor for that toon when it hits level 80. When is that 20% off sale on character slots!
