At the beginning of HoT it was suggested by a Dev that Torment on Revenants would proc as if the target were moving even if they were not moving if you selected the potential new “trait” they were thinking about adding.

I ended up quitting GW2:HoT to play other games for various reasons but with the expansion coming back soon, I am thinking of jumping back in.

Did they ever fix/add this change for condi-revs? Thanks!

Came in for new WvW update and had a great time. It was nice having fights and being able to do things; despite people AFKing in keeps. Then they added their minor fix to outnumbering and decay and it ruined it all.

Have the reversed this or fixed it yet? Couldn’t find any indication on previous forum posts…

For solo PvE farming and potentially raid spots, what are the best condition classes and why? Unfortunately, I am not the greatest at super long complex rotations so I already can rule out the engineer but don’t know what’s what since I had to quit for a year or so.

I know Guardian, Warriors, Mesmers, Rangers and Necromancers are all condition classrs, but which ones are the greatest at doing the role and why? I don’t need FOTM class or super meta, just a good to great rated condi class that will be allowed into pugs and can farm well.

I know this is not the efficient way to do content, and as such please don’t post find a pug. We like to challenge ourselves to learn our classes to the best they can be. That said, we had both taken a LONG break from GW2 for the later college semesters and are returning.

With HoT everything has changed; what is the best duo composition in your opinions for duo fractals? We both have our 80 boosts available and don’t mind using them and re-learning classes.

Prior to leaving, we duoed fractals as two herald revs.

A bump because I PM politely asked me to.

That said; when A-Net SPECIFICALLY said that WvW would be their TOP priority post HoT launch – and then it (surprise!) didn’t happen, I’ve given up and quit WvW all-together, and don’t really log in unless an RL friend happens to be playing.

The terrible way they run the company etc… is overwhelming my passion/love for the game and I’ve been searching for another good experience. With the announcement of BD being B2P, it’s peaked my interest, but I honestly might just quit MMORPG’s all together.

Have you ever been in HoT so long, you leave and go into a Tyrian map, and suicide off a cliff because gliders don’t work there?

They didn’t nerf the graphics for anything BUT their push into E-sports. It has absolutely nothing with trying to make the game run easier; they just want it to be easier to “watch.”

They are nerfing these effects for their push for E-sports. It was “too hard” to follow what was going on with all those giant fireballs.

What happened to: “WvW will be our top priority after HoT is released?” because it sure seems like PvP leagues etc… and anything but repairing what you just destroyed is on your to do list.

I was very happy to see arena be in PvE gear. I can do my vustom PvP arenas already so…

Game is not dead, not even close. Bunch of awesome people. More good than bad, in my experiences. Enjoy playing!

Not to play white-knight here, however, the zones are much “larger” in terms of space used due to the new vertical-axis the new maps offer. This vertical factor increases the amount of resources your PC must load and therefore is the probable cause behind slightly reduced FPS etc…

ON Chrono, what stat line do you use? Condi or Power based?

I love playing Guild Wars 2, as it’s always an option to just jump on in and play. I will say, a lot of my personal negativity comes from A-net utilizing their ability to ninja nerf things (Karma Boosters → Enchanted Booster -/ninja nerf/> Back) or other nearly-unethical business choices. Mooooooostly it’s their terrible treatment of my favorite gamemode, WvW that gets me in a bad state of mind.

That said, I’ve never had a bad experience with any A-net staff (Support team has been amazing for me, even if I don’t get what I want).

Ignore the kittens. There’s a TON of nice people online in game. Don’t be afraid to just say, Hi, to someone!

I guess I should mention that we WvW roam duo quite a bit as well as PvE.

We have tried Reaper (was fun, but Reaper is selfish and Herald is very… selfless in terms of boon giving/support).

We have tried Druid (also fun, for things that need the zerker-druid heals. Feel like the loss of DPS for the limited heals in Zerk isn’t justified. Possible great pair for WvW).

Considering Chronomancer (as you said, Mesmer is fun), and maaybe Dragon Hunter/Berserker but I don’t know.

Hey everyone! Loving a lot of the expansion so far and my buddy is in love with his Herald. We’ve been trying out some class combos, but I wanted to ask the world what they thought the best class (or elite spec) would be to pair with a Herald for PvE duo content (duoing dungeons, duoing HoT Champions etc…).

Because of the last patch, many changes were made on the game like the karma boosters. To answer your query directly, the Customer Support Team cannot circumvent intended design from our developers. We cannot exchange the items for Karma boosters, as these were removed from the game and from being able to be used by other items

At this point, I am very close to calling Arena-net HQ because I am absolute furious. 500+ dollars on these boosters, I had so many that 2:1 was actually WORTH it… and now I cannot get them back. So angry.

Yes, I pre-purchased the expansion. Not just for myself, but for my Father, Mother, Wife and best friend. All of them being the ultimate 100$ edition. So yes, I am VERY unhappy.

Was the e-mail I received. This is an absolute outrage and MUST be addressed by players/GW2 Support/Devs as soon as possible. We cannot just allow a company to get away with such impure, shady acts of business.

Once again, escalated my ticket.

To those claiming you must not want Karma boosters, as a collector/item hoarder, as well as someone who uses a disability check to buy 100+ dollars of gems a month, I had an overwhelming supply of ALL types of boosters and was VERY happy to have consolidated them, 2:1 or even 1:1. That has absolutely no effect on my decision to free up bank slots (since it had not occurred to me at that point in time to buy character slots for more storage.) All of this said, I submitted a ticket and was told tough luck by support. I have since replied for my ticket to be escalated. Have not received a reply.

Karma Boosters only drop now in game rather from BLTC or bought directly from the gem shop. NOWHERE does it say in the patch notes that they were removing the ability to use an enchanted reward boost for karma boost. NOWHERE.

Stop reading into things. Unintentional mistakes/oversights happen. Intentional changes should be clearly spelled out in the patch notes.

Exclusively… Definition as per dictionary.com: “limited to the object or objects designated.” The object designated in this case is, “in game rewards.”

Please, by all means, go to an English professor in a college and ask him what the word exclusively means.

And to all the others asking for my stuff; no. I am not leaving the game; just getting my money back from recent gem purchases if this isn’t fixed.

“Karma Boosters are now available exclusively from in-game rewards.”

This, as posted above, is NOT a bug. This is NOT an oversight by Arenanet. This is an outright, down and dirty blow to the people who support their game.

Half tempted to contact my credit card company and begin charge backs on all the gems I have recently purchased since I am not getting what I initially was paying for.

Yes, I realize MMORPG’s change, but this type of change is absolutely unnecessary and is not thought out.

I WANT to give you my money. STOP giving me reasons to NOT pre-order or buy gems. Jesus… first the infinite coin and now this bull kitten.

EDIT: Yet, I can still convert my karma INTO the enchanted boosters but not back out. Absolutely ridiculous. You make it hard to WANT to invest any time into this game…

Thanks all for the replies! I was not trying to come across as rude or spoiled or whatnot. I have been an avid WvW player for most of my active time in GW2, so when a red posts it’s like Christmas morning to me.

Despite the numbers etc… I was just super jealous of the rev’s dev posting tons today with the community over there. That type of interaction is all I was asking for here.

Seen lots of responses from various devs on various forums from this weekends beta experience. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous of the Revenants and the communication the community and the devs have going on.

Robert Gee, even if you aren’t changing anything, or are still reading forum responses and going over data collected from the weekend, please please please just take a minute and make a post communicating that too us.

It makes me sick to read forums on other channels and hear about the “salty” necro forum, and I really believe that having an open line of communication, even if all we get are "no"’s, would be absolutely amazing.

With the rework of life siphon and blood magic in general, is zealot gear viable?

Sorry for the short post; not trying to waste anyone’s time. Search results came back empty and all google searches show pre-patch information.

When asked to volunteer for the bonus movement speed, experience and I believe magic find, if you have a party member on your map, you can volunteer, get the reward and then re-join on your friend, who can then volunteer and then re-join. This enables you to get the buff and still maintain the empty server.

I agree the event needs to end, sooner rather than later. But, just to clarify something, the amount of time it takes to turn the supply cost on the golem to 0 isn’t enough time to do anything. You’re probably talking a code like: var golemSupply = 50 to… var golemSupply = 0. Not much involved in the changing of the costs.

But, I totally agree with you. GW2 has an amazingly complex battle system and that truly shines in the amazing 25 v 25 man fights in WvW… honestly, I love WvW, I have the most fun there… but if I wanted to K-train, I would be in EOTM. I am on FA for a reason, I love the fights. Fighting a zerg of golems is not fun… fighting a zerg of golems IN golems was fun for the first two or three encounters but after that, it’s just… ugh, spam spin-to-win.

I hate to play devil’s advocate here, as I too agree with all the posts requesting this event to end. It was fun for an hour, tedious for another hour and then down-right annoying for the final hour… however; I do truly believe A-net WAS trying to make WvW enjoyable for a “larger” audience. I, as a parent, cannot see a Dev or anyone who really loves their game doing anything they felt was against the greater good.

All that said, I, as a parent, also know when to admit when I have messed up.

The title really sums this up quite nicely; I don’t know what I want to play – and yet, I have all classes to 80, leveled through legit WvW, Karma trains, world completion etc… I am having trouble finding a main (I consider my Necromancer the “main” at the moment due to World Completion). All this said, I guess my goals end up being around WvW and solo/duo/trio’ing dungeons and PvE content. My Wife plays either a ranger or a warrior and my friend loves the elementalist. Does anyone have suggestions towards a class to main? I want to be useful in the zerg (WvW) and useful in PvE as well. I would think Guardian would be amazing, but I am soloing PvE dungeons easier on my Necromancer than Guardian (a L2P thing I think…). Anyway. Thanks for reading this/replying!

O.o people like Chris is why I love Anet.

I realize that this is a gold/ecto sink – however, I went ahead with my 1000 gold and 300 ectos and began to gamble.

100+ tries later, I ended up with 3,500 gold (3.5 x what i had before) and 1500 ectos (5 x) what i had before. I have played this games tons and have never gotten a precursor drop so I kind of consider this my “precursor drop” as I understand the data shows a net loss over time.

How many people hit it big? Anyone hit it bigger?
