This is very exciting. Thanks for rolling this out.
After some very preliminary testing, the client has a halting or jerky quality when I rotate the camera or move my character through the world. It’s akin to a graphical hitch. I also get the stuttering effect when I zoom out to the world map. This is with settings turned way down (lower than I currently use on the beta wrapper). Any thoughts or suggestions?
I feel your pain. I’ve been experiencing similar issues since the patch on Tuesday.
If I’m running one of the required classes a PS Warrior yet have no Raid Experience would I still run into problems with a PUG after the early week rush as long as I’m straight with a commander?
Are you a competent player who knows his class well? Is your character appropriately geared for raiding? Is your reputation within the PvE community untarnished by suspect forum posting? If the answer to all of those is ‘yes’ then I can’t imagine that you’ll encounter any serious trouble.
We have re-opened recruiting. If you are looking for a smaller, mature guild that focuses on PvE (raids, fractals, etc.), don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Today i was insta-kicked from 3 separate and unrelated CM groups for wing 4, without any red flag being raised from my perspective. I mean that, I did not even know/expect to be kicked as soon as I entered an instance, nor did I get any prior warning this was about to happen. On two of these cases, commander themself did not have any problem with me, but one or two people (underlings) in his squad did. He would take their word over mine, simply believing some misplaced rumor?
nagr, it’s hard to say exactly what prompts so many different groups to kick you on sight. Perhaps it’s your performance record. Maybe it’s a long list of pugs who have blacklisted you. Or it might be that your forum posting history has tarnished your name. After all, you did author this lunacy:
“I mean if you wanna hold LI as golden standard for experience (ur words) then you might as well go ahead and promote racism as its basically the same thing here, i mean not to say that theres anything inherently wrong iwth that but just dont expect others to follow you down that road either..”
So what has damaged your reputation within the raid community? I guess it’s one of those unsolvable GW2 mysteries.
Start your own raid group or join one that accepts power necros. Seriously. That will solve all of the problems you have been griping about for weeks on this forum and will staunch the desire to make fake suggestion threads. You can do it.
So you admit that your “suggestion” isn’t actually about improving end-game content and more about your frustration with Necro’s unpopularity with raid groups? How disingenuous.
Honestly, this looks more like a thinly-veiled gripe about not being able to raid with necromancer than a sincere suggestion. So many of the OP’s posts trend that direction.
Raids are terrific as is, and the rewards are appropriate to the skill and coordination required to complete them. If you want LIs, raid. If you have trouble finding a group that accepts you, start your own (or join a raiding guild).

Yes, please do keep raiders and casuals separate. Do you think I enjoy listening to some “commander” tell me I’m not worthy?
I’d listen and learn, but I won’t be abused. If raids die out by attrition, well… /shrug.
Tell you “you’re not worthy”? I don’t believe that happened. Prove that a commander used that phrase. Raids aren’t some Arthurian quest or elaborate test of moral character. Your description of them as such is laughable. You likely botched fight mechanics, got kicked (justifiably), and decided to vent your anger on the forums with a nonsense tale.
I mean if you wanna hold LI as golden standard for experience (ur words) then you might as well go ahead and promote racism as its basically the same thing here, i mean not to say that theres anything inherently wrong iwth that but just dont expect others to follow you down that road either..
This is the single dumbest thing I have ever read on this forum. Congratulations.
Here ya go:

Nothing preventing you from starting your own “all builds welcome” learning group as well.
Best of luck!
Agreed. A fractal armor set would be quite welcome.
Bumpity bump bump.
Looking for a few more mature players for our weekend raid team.
Bumping it back up. Looking to add a few players for a second raid team.
Lots of guildies nabbed their Eternal title last night. Fun times in NPC.

Bah. I figured out how to fix it (left control + right click over the skill icon).
My Revenant recently developed a similar problem though with the first utility skill rather than the heal.

The Mac client instability is stunning right now. I would hope Anet addresses these issues promptly as they make the game utterly unplayable for Mac users.

shaden, what are you current in-game settings? I’m referring to things like character limit, and such. This sounds like an out of memory error, which is rather common with Cider due to it emulating 32-bit Windows. Also, how long do you play (and where) when these occur?
Jon,
This has been a known issue for more than a year (more like two years). HoT just exasperated the situation. Not sure if this dev is still with Anet or not, but here is the discussion from an Anet dev over a year ago:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Client-crashes-during-heavy-graphic-fights/first#post4447940Setting all of our graphic sliders to the lowest possible setting is not a solution if the claim that OS X is supported is true. Even so, with the graphic settings all set to the lowest positions, you still crash every 10-20 mins depending on what you’re doing. This is the worst the wrapper has ever been. And, before you say, ‘yes, but you have to expect it since it is a wrapper,’ please note that the wrapper used to work just fine, so we all know it can be done.
This situation has been going on for a long, long time and HoT only made it more pronounced. It is obvious that either no QA was done on the Mac client or that the powers that be decided that it was cheaper to not bother to fix the Mac client because only x percent use it but most still made the HoT purchase so you still get the money without providing the product in working order.
So much this. HoT has destabilized the Mac “beta” client to a shocking degree. While the wrapper was imperfect before, it was at least functional. In its current state, the game is unplayable for this Mac user. Frequent crashes near (or not near) events, an inability to use the guild hall interfaces, and a drastic drop in performance have left the Mac client in a shameful state.
I would like to know when these issues will be addressed and why Mac users have been neglected for so long. If the client is not stabilized very soon, I will be seeking a refund for HoT.

I am experiencing something similar. Unable to download the recent patch. The client is open without a window and only a force quit will close it.
