So basically if my ISP change my IP address permanently. I lost my whole gw2 account cause Anet mail server dont send authentification ?

Seem like they need to work on this instead of releasing all kind of crappy update every 2 weeks.

My ip changed and i was receiving no email authentification from anet. I had to reboot my router until i get an ip address that was previously authentificated on my account.

I also lost my email with my gw2 cdkey.

1- Is there a way i can recover my cdkey?
2- Am i alone to not receive email to authentificate my new ips ?

Make the spirit weapons skills go on cooldown as soon as you summon them, problem fixed!

Huh this dungeon is easy mode i am sure some peoples can solo it no need to boost your ego, nothing special.

I wish they would scrap this whole mechanic of respawning in dungeon and if your party die you get wipe out.

Noticed the same thing performance degrading patch after patch.

So what the purpose of this thread ?

-One side of peoples promoting peoples to all buy new hardware because Anet lied to us about system requirement by a lot.

-And the other side saying Anet optimization coding is bad.

Just a little information to all the peoples repeating to everyone to buy new cpu’s and saying that your cpu a bottleneck. Run gw2 put it on 2 cores in the task manager and benchmark the performance, then put it to 3 and 4 cores and notice how performance barely increase. This is engine is badly coded right now it use cpu ressource terribly.

During beta week end1 i remember gw2 using only 30% of my cpu. Then as the beta week end 2 and 3 came cpu usage climbed up slowly and performance never got any better. And actually the performance of beta weekend 1 was probably the best one.

So yeah peoples need to seriously shut up about promoting everyone to buy new cpu and new hardware this is just misinformation, this game dont use cpu and gpu ressource properly.

My friend got a very good i7 oc’ed to 4.5 ghz on water cooling and hes dropping in the 20’s fps in wvwvw and he probably dip lower then that sometimes. So yeah to pull a steady 30fps in wvwvw in this game you need a cpu out of this world, this is not right.

Anyone that come here and say those performance sound about right are out of their mind. Like seriously, his pc should get a constant 60fps no matter the situation , stop defending Anet for their bad coding work. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

Op have the knowledge to know how his FPS spike in the menu but does not have the knowledge that v-sync can cap fps or that there is a limiter option in the game. The game is unplayable cause he got too many fps and yet did not take the time to browse thru the menu for 5sec but he had an unplayable gaming experience.

Is this thread serious or what? Even if your target is not crippled you can still spam your attack on the move and inflict all your damage. If your opponent get some distance between you just close to gap again with all your tools. WTF is so hard to understand? I think the major problems with you guys is you are not using proper binds to control your character effectively.

I am really not surprised to see all those thread on this forum about peoples complaining that would explain why 90% of the peoples suck so bad in pvp.

I think OP should play guardian more then 15mins before coming on here and saying stuff like that.

Guardian mobility is excellent we got tons of teleport ability,leaps,blink,immobilize,speed buff,Knockdown even a hook. Oh and i forgot we got even the ability to give weakness if someone with a lot of endurance is a problem.

I rather have all those tools available then a simple condition cripple that can be removed easily.

Everyone coming on those forum saying guardian suck, we got no gap closer, nothing to catch enemies need to learn how to play seriously we are one of the strongest class in the game this include wvwvw. Nobody can run away from a guardian that know how to play in wvwvw except maybe thief.

Everyone is getting slow rendering issue no matter the hardware they got its an issue withing the engine itself, i think anet is working to fix that. The problem is probably worst on slower hardware.

Minimum wont work well in wvwvw, recommended wont work well either in wvwvw and 3 generations higher wont work well either. Only a brand new cpu at 350$ oc’ed will maybe pull a steady 30fps if your lucky.

Want this camera view in the game i think its awesome.

I entered in the mad king dungeon to kill the boss and i was able to zoom out super far and i like to be able to zoom out that far.

After leaving the dungeon i was able to keep that zoom out camera view in lion arch and i tried to disconnect and reconnect to see if i could zoom out again like that but no i could not.

So my suggestion is to keep this feature in the game letting us be able to zoom out and play with those camera view.

There is no way the system requirement right now can play at 30fps with low graphics in every situation.

Short answer: this game is badly optimized and OP pc should be able to run it smooth by lowering some graphic in every situation. Everyone of you need to be serious for a second his system exceed by far system requirement and he should be able to pull a constant steady 30fps everywhere. This including wvwvw and i am sure he dip in the 12’s fps at times.

Let me school all the kid that think renewed focus is not good:

While channeling you can activate your virtues.

Scenario: You are about to die, pop your aegis(1 block) activate renewed focus while channeling you pop your f2 that around 2k healing. Renewed focus end restore your f2 and f3, you can use them again real fast that another block and 2k healing. So yeah renewed focus is very freaking good.

And i wont say everything about some synergy you can do with traits i let you guys figure it out.

If the dungeon designer team would be remotely smart for path 2they would have made the lightening radius on the boss bigger or have the aoe cripple you when your inside. Not raising the damage without even testing it. Cause its impossible that dungeon designer team tested it. And if they did test it i wanna see them record a youtube video of them beating it.

Good job Anet you guys are a mess right now in the studio there is no way you guys have tested this dungeon before putting that patch live.

Nice job OP someone finally bringing the guardian pain on their enemies. Good change of all the noobs whining on this forum saying guardian are useless in WvWvW when in reality we are wrecking force to be fear.

You know what is funny is i bet in Anet studio those kind of rig was expected to run this game at around 20 to 30fps.

OP i got a similar system, pve will run between 25 to 50fps
WvWvW will dip to around 12fps in heavy fights.

I think OP need his own unique class that only him can play.

My pc is 10x time faster then his junk and i dip to 12fps in heavy battles in wvwvw.

This is seriously getting out of control and they are screwing up game economy for legit players and guess who get screwed with DR ?

Like seriously it take only 1 moderator to wander around in game for a few minutes to notice who is botting if Anet you really care about it just hire someone at minimum wage to flag botter and ban them, i will even volunteer to do it.

Been playing guardian since beta i have over 500hrs of experience with the class i can definatly say guardian is very strong and a very good class. It take times to learn the mechanic to play it right and to know the ins and out of the class and exploit his strength to the maximum.

Sure we dont have the best range option in the game i am sure Anet is trying to do some tweak with the range weapons one thing i got in mind is making the scepter #2 a symbole would pretty much fix the weapon. But look at ranger they are pretty weak in melee and cannot go toe to toe in melee vs a guardian or warrior, but their range option is stronger. So at the end of the day its just normal that guardian is not the best at range. We dont have the DPS of a warrior but we can survive alot more then warriors.

There is definatly some traits that need to buffed cause there is alot of them that are useless but the guardian is class is very strong.

Since your so knowledgeable about gw2 performance explain to me. Why peoples with lower spec can play this game with higher fps then some peoples?
Explain to me why peoples during beta and in previous patch had higher performance then post patch?
Explain to me why my game run at around 40 to 60fps most of the time then suddenly i get inside an empty room and my fps drop to 25fps ?
Tell me how come only reducing shadow and reflection give an fps boost while all other graphic setting barely do any different fps wise? And this without mentioning lowering resolution to 1024×728 have zero impact on performance.

You have to be serious here, this game run off the modified gw1 engine, using dx9 technologie, game have very low polygon count and 2d sprite same as gw1. Yes i understand that having alot of spells effect and player models use alot of cpu ressource, but this engine is no where near demanding for a top of the line pc. Peoples with High end intel/amd with 600$ video should be running this game at a steady 100fps with barely any drop below 60fps and its not even the case here.

Anet stated them self they wanted this game to run on older hardware so they have broader audience of peoples to play the game. Right now peoples feel obligated to upgraded and buy new computers to play the game and often peoples come back on these forums saying upgrading barely made a difference in the performance.

And for your information i did not talk about minimum requirement i was talking about the recommended requirement.

And btw someone with minimum requirement should be able to play at a steady 20fps at lowest setting. And someone with Recommended requirement should be able to pull 30fps with low setting. This is clearly not the case with this game. If Anet expected peoples to play with 5fps at the minimum spec then they did lie to all their customer about the game requirement to increase their sells.

I am pretty tired of coming on this forum and hearing the same old same old from those peoples that consider them self improvised computer tech, saying oh your cpu is a bottleneck, oh this game need a very good cpu, oh this and kitten is not good. Have you red the requirement for this game? Why peoples with system that exceed 5 times the game requirement cannot even get a steady 30 fps? While some peoples running 7years old notebook can run this game smooth. Stop spreading lies and misinformation to peoples saying your cpu is a bottleneck when its above pc requirement for the game. The game itself is badly coded and is not using hardware ressource properly right now, i really hope Anet manage to sort out the problem.

wingLessZA.3589 is right QoS will not drop is modem signal. I suggested to look at his QoS because i thought only his gw2 had problem to connect but if the whole modem signal drop randomly that another story.

There is two possibility to your problem
1- Your phone line outside the house linking to the concentrator are in bad shape (solution: you need an ISP tech to come test the wiring to make sure everything is alright)
2- If you are on DSL connection and are outside a radius of 4.6km from the central then your out of luck your signal will randomly cut.

I play melee guardian in wvwvw and i must have a kill death ratio of 30:1

Not everyone that play on low end hardware that is having low fps. I know tons of peoples that have weaker pc and get better performance then i do.

If you get kitted with a guardian your playing it wrong. You immobilize,leaps,teleport,swiftness boon ect…

Its been reported , performance got worst with last patch

Everyone that run GPU-Z and see their card running at PCIE x1 this is normal your card is getting downclocked for desktop application if you run a game and windows mode your game and look at the GPU-Z your PCIE slot will go to his full speed.

QoS = Quality of Services
This is a feature that allow packets to be delivered to the source in his totality with no error.

I have seen in the past QoS causing problems with certain games. I suggest to try to find those option in your router config and play with them if you notice any difference.

Have you tried to update the router firmware?
Also i would suggest to try to play with the QoS setting your router or any other options in the router and see if there is a difference or something. Could be some sort of conflict on how gw2 handle packet transfert to your router.

Your problem is definatly not hardware side but most likely software side so changing cables to your phone line or anything wont help. This is an issue withing the router and how it handle the gw2 traffic. You need to start messing with your router setting and perform test with different setting.

Using ATI drivers here 12.9 beta never had a crash before the last patch in gw2 and since the last monday patch i had 2 crash. The game sound loop and i have to close the process.

Its not on nvidia or ati end its the new guild wars patch that cause crash and i believe its related to some sound fix they introduced for surround system audio.

Im sick and tired to hear kids come on this forum and answer; Oh your cpu is a bottleneck, Ohh AMD does not perform well with this game.

Well guess what i have both AMD and Intel computers and both perform equally crappy. The whole Engine is badly optimized its up to Anet to sort it out.
