Yarr! I be keeping me pirate runes, Matey. Yarr! You’re welcome. Yarr!

It should be in your bag. It looks like a dowel with an icon on it. If not, try again and see what happens.
Edit: oops! go with what Rose said.

Yes! Even if it was only trait templates, it would be a big help.
Welcome to GW2. It’s a good game for many different play styles and player attitudes. If you have twenty minutes to play or twenty hours, you can log in and find something to do.
I’ve been playing it for almost two years and just recently hit 69% map completion. WvW can do that to you. I have not had much time for gaming lately, so sometimes I just log in to whack a boss or open some chests, or play a round of crab toss. Lots of options are available to enjoy.
In the mean time, you might want to start your own guild with only you as a member so you can build a personal storage bank.
Don’t forget the capital cities. They give decent exp and tranny charges for completion. You can get to them through the asura gates in LA.
Get recipes for rare and exotic armor from the master armorsmith.
Was Glint parthenogenetic or did she have a mate? If the former, then Gleam and the egg would be clones of Glint.
Crab toss is a lot of fun when lots of people are playing. Polymock could be a cool pvp minigame. Moa racing was cool, if expensive, and should be brought back. They could justify it by making it a financing tool for rebuilding LA.
Unique skins that can only be obtained by playing specific activities repeatedly would increase participation, using a token system for payment like in dungeons. For example, karka shell heavy armor for playing crab toss, a “the Flash” type costume for doing sanctum sprint, A.R.E.N.A commando armor for doing southsun survival. I’m sure we could come up with lots of ideas. I suspect Anet just doesn’t have enough people, or budget, to do everything they want to do, so activities got backordered.
Skritt are not as nice or cute as Quaggan, but they are so… vulnerable. Small. Weak. They appear like children. They even have child-like voices. And you never want to kill children, even if children are mean sometimes, too. Just like Skritt who are mean sometimes, too.
I, for myself, try to avoid to kill Skritt. I helped them during my personal story, and they helped me with Zaithan. They are good, not evil. Somewhat chaotic, but good.
They seem childlike to me as well. It gives me the willies, so I avoid them.
You will take less damage during a fight if you maneuver so that you are always behind or to the side of a mob. Practice circle strafing. It will help you play all professions.
Its around the target.
Try asking in map chat if someone will show you around. There are lots of helpful players in this game.
Actually what bothers me about Lion’s Arch is that the sound of Scarlet’s aerial drill (that noise of it hanging in the air, mechanical and industrial sounds with the sound of metal warping) is still in evidence even though as we all know the drill was destroyed.
I went there today to see if I could hear that. I never noticed it before you mentioned it. That is an unpleasant sound. Definitely need to get more of a beachy sound in LA. Waves, shore birds, and clank clank clank.
Some sort of recurring short duration festival type event at each racial capital city could be very cool. As it is now, at least the capitals are good for cultural armor, and DR does seem to be the favorite choice of the RP community.
You are probably right. Luckily Wintersday is coming soon and we’ll get some cheerful music with that, and I can always turn down the volume on the in-game music. Battle for LA was 7 months ago, how long is a normal period of lamentation? I really don’t know.
LA lament is getting a little old. How about something tropical-ish to go with all those palm trees? Its time for a more optimistic mood, I think.
Use “about face” I think its the x key by default.
Keep in mind that no title is worth time in the hospital. Take care of your health first.
Crabgrabber: I’m at 68/1000, but I’m in no great hurry.
Yakslapper: good luck on that one.
Been there, done that: yeah, some day I’ll get on with it.
Veteran of the Mists: you should already have this one.
(something) toymaker: coming soon
Master Carver: I wear mine with pride.
Bags are account bound, but bag slots are character dependent. You can buy new bag slots for 400 gems each or wait for a sale. I think you start with 4 bag slots.

Keep it. Its a fun mini-game for a lot of players. Getting rid of options like LI just because some people don’t enjoy it would be silly and counter productive. Halloween could use more events, not fewer. How about a Halloween themed variation of crab toss or polymock. More not less.
I think it is really unlikely that the team which concluded that feeding a cow was too confusing to new players, would bring back something with the word chess in its name.
Plus, it might remind people that we still don’t have polymock.
EvanAlmighty: nice use of contrast and good color selection. good lookin’ toon.
Chainezo: your engi looks like a blood knight about to get his jollies. great screencap.
He’s not a mesmer, but here’s my charr necro, rockin’ the princess wand.
I read some posts that some people actually aren’t playing because of this. Is that true? I mean not a lot of people or boycott or anything, but someone with female characters was saying he wasn’t playing. Just curious. Maybe it was on the other thread.
I’m not playing my thief anymore. She just seems odd, robotic maybe. I still play my other characters, but they are not human female.
Some mystic forge recipes would be nice. I can imagine something like Inuyasha’s sword, looks normal until you use it when it turns into a glowing red BFS.
Happy Halloween!

It’s so annoying that a handful of people got these removed for everyone else. If they’d removed them and then fixed them immediately, sure. But they removed them and now there’s no ETA on when they’ll be back in? I don’t understand why this was a high enough priority to remove or tamper with in the first place.
Simply because the whiner always wins. That is why I have to be the whiner now. If these “individuals” are so concerned with immersion, perhaps they should crawl through the monitor and become a part of gw2. Twenty bucks says some of them have tried.
Tyria is a crapsack world where no sane human being would want to live. So you might be right.
After almost 2 years, GW2 is still one of my 3 favorite games. Sure it has some problems, so does every game I’ve played since Panzer General. Overall, I have a positive opinion of it and still hope for a boxed second campaign or expansion.
Loved the original panzer general.
PG was my first pc game on my first pc, and it came out during my junior year of college. That game wore me out.

Sexuality is part of being human, and our human female characters are supposed to be simulated humans. Attempts to de-sexualise them are misogynistic.
What some people seem to be missing is the simple fact that a woman stretching is not a sex act. Its not even suggestive of sex.
“Sexuality” does not mean “behaving in a sexy manner”. Do you think a female police person should be stretching and sticking her boobs out while she’s talking to a perp? That’s the equivalent of what is going on in the game with NPCs and, in my POV, with my adventuring characters. Taking away a sexualized stretch is not misogynistic.
But if people really want those animations back, give me a choice to have non-sexy animations for my warriors and adventurers.
That attitude is misogynistic because you are assuming it is sexualized when it is not. You are obsessing about boobs, so you see it as something that is not there. Taking away a natural gesture dehumanizes the female character. That is as misogynistic as it gets. Women stretch, they have breasts which can’t go away just because they offend people who want to suppress female sexuality. And in regards to your silly straw man, a female cop who is standing around doing nothing should be able to stretch if she feels like it, without fear of punishment.
Stop with the a-priori conclusions that female sexuality is a bad thing or that sex is a bad thing for women. Gender dimorphism is not bad, it is a natural phenomenon. It is the natural state of being, and inescapable. Learn to accept it. Or, rage pointlessly against nature and be angry for the rest of your life.
Lol, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m female and I don’t stretch like that (unless I’m trying to attract a certain kind of attention…). And I didn’t say anything about punishment, or female sexuality being bad – don’t put words in my mouth.
And I don’t know why you are bringing actual sex into this discussion.
The point I’m making is that, as a female, I don’t like my female characters which are adventurers and warriors being portrayed in a sexual manner. I don’t care if other people do want it, that’s fine. I’m speaking for myself and I think I should have a choice.
Lol, I’m right on target. I am asserting that there is nothing sexual, sexualized, sexy or sexish (insert your preferred obfuscating jargon here) about the human female idle animations or even the female models used for character generation. People who are seeing it as sexualized are having inappropriate reactions to the images, seeing something that is not really there except in their own minds. You insist that it is sexual but you have not presented a reasonable argument for why it is. The closest you have gotten is in saying that you do not stretch this way unless you are seeking attention. Unfortunately, you are not the standard for humanity, male or female. I stretch this way before and after I exercise my rotator cuff and before bowling matches. I see female bowlers also stretch this way. Are you suggesting that women who do this are only seeking sexual attention? If you are, then that is a misogynistic attitude.
I mentioned the facts of life because some people need to be reminded from time to time that humans, both male and female, are sexual animals. Biology, no matter how harsh or wonderful, is always neutral.
Women, who live in oppressive cultures are often severely punished when they fail to conform to the local notions of proper female social behavior.
You don’t want your characters to be presented in a sexual manner. I appreciate that feeling. However, I don’t see anything sexual about it, except perhaps the representation of gender dimorphism. If you take that away then you no longer have a human character.
I am on your side regarding choice in the matter of idle animations, but I have a hard time believing that the people who complain about them are going to be satisfied with that when they see other people choosing differently.
If I have misjudged your comments as hostile to women, I apologize.

Do like a lot of wvw regulars do, and carry a spare set of armor.
it’s not a bug, but yea I lost count somewhere after 300.
How are you getting so many wrappers? I’ve opened about 700 ToT bags and have recieved a total of 9. Am I just cursed by the RNG, or am I missing something?
Grentch Activity (from the GW1 wiki):
“Prior to the December 15, 2011 update, presents appear randomly at various spawn points scattered throughout decorated towns during Wintersday. Players could pick up a gift and deliver it to a Young Child before it was destroyed by a Grentch. For each gift successfully delivered, the player would receive one Candy Cane Shard. Players could also deliver presents to Scrappy Jhim, who gave one Winter Gift instead.
Unlike most bundles, the player’s movement speed was not reduced by carrying a present. However, the Grentches would hunt the presents, exploding them if they touched them. Grentches move 25% faster than players."
You keep getting skill points.
If it seems empty, it may be a new map. You can ask in map chat if there is a group or wait a few minutes for other people to enter your map. I’ve never needed to wait more than a few minutes. If you have a commander tag, you can pop it and people will come to you.
Anet developers put a lot of effort into making the human females seem like human females, as much as they could with the technology they had available. I think they did an excellent job of it. So, to be totally fair, I’m sure the animation thing really is a bug.
The people who are trying to neuter females, in games and IRL, are not feminists even though they call themselves that. Those people are enraged by the natural phenomena of gender dimorphism, and tend to be rabidly anti-woman.
It might have been too sexy for the American audience. Remember the “uh huh” woman’s voice in Divinity Reach? Some kitten complained so they got rid of it, and it was just a voice.
People who have 85 gold in the bank do not qualify as “new players.” This is just a depressing change.
Halloween is the best. IRL and in game. Looking forward to lots of Villager’s V. ghosts while fueled up on NB’s pumpkin ale.
tracert doesn’t tell how good your isp is. Only how good it is at the moment you run tracert.
My ele has no trouble getting cloth items, so I’m pretty sure its just a bug.
See the bugs forum, many necromancer players have reported getting drops as if the engine thinks they’re a different class.
Thanks, found and bumped the thread. That forum is so depressing.
bump. Seems to be an ongoing problem.
I vote rocket mage as well.
I decided to work on leveling up my necro today, since he is over a year old and still only level 67. In 2 1/2 hours of playing, not a single cloth item dropped. Has the profession relevant drop thing not started yet? Are cloth item drops at a lower rate than leather and metal? Are they trying to keep spell casters from dominating the silk market? I know its a rng thing, but I wonder about the rate. It just seems odd to me. I would prefer to get my armor upgrades from mobs rather than crafting or the TP.
Where ever they put Halloween, it needs to have that Charr cub running around saying " Its hollow… Its hallow… Its candy day!"
My GW1 closet ranger has been stuck in celestial new year since February. Maybe Yumiko has something like that going on.
