I play mesmer since release of gw2 and it is my main char beside my engineer. Here is my feedback.

The good things:
- The new dodge mechanism is just awesome!!! really love it
- Idea behind ambush skills is really nice
- The amount of ports is awesome
- More ways to get some condi cleanse, finally

The critics in general:
- we already have solid condi options something like aoe power dmg would have been great for wvw zerging maybe with an long bow as an magic arrow shooter (:
- movement speed sucks in wvw, cast time of ambush attack skills is to slow
- Clone generation is a bad
- Running to a mirror spawned randomly or far away from you is just not viewable
- Less stealth access
- Seems not viewable for power builds yet
- Dodging and running forwad seems to be as fast a normal dodge, but moving sidewards or backwards is not :/

Concrete Improvement Suggesion:
- Increase the ambush window to 2-3 seconds
- Decrease all ambush skill attacks to 1/2 second please they are to slow for a real ambush
- GS and Sword Ambush skills deal to less damage, one should be a bursty one. (personally hoped for something backstab like)
- Ambush Attacks for phantasms, when traited

- Increase the range von jaunt to at least 600, maybe even 750
- Please rework the heal.. its just not viable
- Illusionary Ambush is awesome, but should port your phantasms as well and could spawn a clone as well, same goes for axe skill 3
- Mirage Advanced could use ground targeting and a lower cast time, could also leave a clone behind when you port back to origin position
- Sand thorugh glass isn’t as good as the other stun breaks maybe it could stealth us for 2 seconds?

- Self deception: creates a clone when you have 0 or 1 illusion
- mirage mantle: increase protection duration, could also give us swiftness so we have access to speed
- Shards of glass is not realiable and mirrors spawn proabably at bad position, could be replaced by a trait for power builds

- Lingering thoughts is kinda good, but feels strange… dunno what it is it feels somehow pretty slow and like i’m really vulnerable during that attack. Is the displayed 1/2 sec attack time really correct? Maybe it is because of the forward movement.
Could always generate a clone
- Axe Symmetry is a good skill but should also port your non axe clones and phantasms, it could also need an increased range and attack speed, maybe remove the evade frame here and give it to axe skill 2

Rifle Buff Please?

Yes please buff it my predator gets dusty.. this hould be a true power range weapon

My Suggestions:
Improve Hip Shot so it is up to the bomb kits auto attack
Add multiple charges to Net Shot, like on the warriors axe
Increase direct damage to Blunderbuff and remove bleeding from it.
Remove the self knock back from Overcharged Shot, so we don’t have to give ourself stability before
Give Jump Shot an evade and increase the damage

I think it actually doesnt work like a mesmer portal. The tooltip states a duration of 20sec and a cd of 28sec. It also does aoe conditions and applies buffs to allies who uses it buffs.

So It probably only buffs the people which press F nearby and won’t really port them away. Or just a really really short distance.

Else if skill power to cd is compared to a mesmer portal or blink it wont stand in relation, so just wait for the beta and check it out ;P

The reason cripple kept applying is due to you being Immob’d in caltrops, which keeps applying bleed an cripple you did not react appropriately you waited a good while before blinking out of it so when you were trying to clear condies it was hitting the cover condies and not the main ones applied first i.e. Confusion, Bleeds and poisons.

you used six single condie clears that all Proc confusion, if you knew the mechanics of condies it’s always the last one applied is cleansed first unless it’s specified by skill or trait to cleanse it no matter what, the best thing you could have done is use Distortion as soon as confusion hit you clearing it and stopping further application for a few seconds, spamming skills while having confusion will kill you, in this video you panicked which is why you died, if you post your build we can help you figure out how to combat this and other condie heavy builds

You are totaly right. Usually I use Diversion first to interrupt the following pressure which didn’t help there. And I realized that as well, in other fights i also blinked first and one with Distortion First, but that also only lasts 1sec without illusions.

Thanks for the offer of support in build development but i’m usually fine. Illusion trait line and a generosity sigil usually serve well, can even pick up The pledge as well for maximum condi removal. Similiar on engi with hgh and healing turret.

But the way conditions are removed is just bad.
Guess on my engi i would struggle that bad as well. I got healing turret condi cleanse and serval elxier condi removes by hgh which only remove one as well.
Then usually running something like tk/eg/elexier b/Bulwark Gyro/elexier s.

Panicked in that situation or not, it is just ridiculous that one can get killed without even see the person who kills one.

And seems like this gets even more annoying just saw two of them teaming up to kill serval ppl at duelling spots one after one. Only knew it were two because after a while 2 of them stood nearby without doing a harm anymore like nothing happend before.

Your number 1 issue is that you stayed immobilized and used 4/5 utilities before confusion ran out (it was never cleansed). Because you were immobilized you took several caltrops and that meant by the time you were blinked away you were down so low on HP that the poison finished you off. Also it wasn’t 1 stack of bleed, it was 7.

Actually the thing that hurt you most in this video was that you were hitting that yak when he put confusion on you, already you took a lot of damage because you were using skills on it.

As to the thief, it isn’t the thief its the runes. Trapper runes and Perplexity runes are what is the problem, not the class that happens to be using them at the time. And fix how conditions are removed? At a certain point you might as well be saying “remove conditions” because if all cleanses only removed the highest damaging conditions then condition builds would be effectively neutered.

I know that it’s not excelent game play there. I was a little bit surprised first.
And yes it removed once 7 stacks of bleedings. But i used 6 condi removes in total!
5 times it always removed crappy conditions.
In all 3 fights always the crappy conditions got removed.

As i see it you have 3 types of conditions some are more dangerous to you than others are. Somewhat like this

Some that influence your movement:
Fear>Imob>Chilled>Criple
Some that deal damage to you:
Burning>Poison>Confusion>Torment>Bleeding
Some that somehow influence you or your actions:
Slow>Weakness>Vulnerability>Blind

At i would expect that you have at least a good chance to have a exceptable chance that one of these more dangerous conditions is removed.
And specially it is just kittenty that a condition like criple got removed multiple in a short time window. If i see it correctly in the video criple got removed 4 times and 2 times bleeding (7 and 1 stack). It just looks like the condition which was applied last/which is most left is removed first.

This is just not true.

There are 2 problems:
#1: They don’t get revealed on traps and can apply tons of conditions without getting revealed, that should not be possible. They even changed some ranger traps to deal direct dmg so they get revealed. Why not at direct damage to the condition applying traps of thief as well?
#2: Fix how condis are removed. It should really not happen that criple and 1 stack of bleeding is removed when i have multiple stacks confu, poison or imob on me.

This won’t really effect other builds or set of options.

Guys, I’m doing only solo and small scale roaming in wvw for ~3 years now. I know the kitten is going on there, and have faced serval condi stealth trapper thiefs before. But they never killed me 3 times in a row like that.

Nope doesnt help either did it before just dont have it on video. As mentioned before I met him 3 times and usually dont have not that much problem with that.

Well thats the point it is not really able to negate anymore. Further usually with such a build you dont kill ppl in a few seconds. And now realy perma invis, i didnt even see him once!!! With pu you get revealed as soon as you attack.

I think this would have been a better way to do it, with all maps symmetrical – if they would’ve done it that way in the beginning. I’m not sure you can change that now because:

  • It takes them forever and a day to make a map; making Alpine and Desert symmetrical would be almost like making a new map so maybe it would just take them forever.
  • People would QQ about losing their “Home”.

Well only because something takes some time, shouldn’t keep them from not giving wvw the love it deserves and which was denied for some time. And many changes need some time, of course redesigning something is a mayor change, but maybe something for a quarterly update
Yep could happen. I prefere to have no “home” than 3 times the same map. Kinda boring for me.

I mean maybe people have other ideas like every person on a server can select a map as the homemap and the maps will be picked by the votes of the players every week. Just like guild mission types which you can also change weekly based. Of course only the vote of active wvw players should be consideres.

I mean there could be so many creative ideas for it. And the options for the current poll are missing a bigger idea behind the changes and what could follow then.

In short:
- Change alpine and desert maps to a fair symmetric layout like eternal battlegrounds
- Pool of maps
- Pick 4 maps randomly for the matchup every reset

In long:
Well the poll is out now, and you ask whether you want to choose between:
1.) 2 Alpine + 1 Desert / 2 Desert + 1 Aloine
2.) Rotate between 3 Alpine and 3 Desert every 3 Month

I personally don’t want one of each and here is why:
To have 3 times or even 2 times the same map is kinda boring, it looks all the same, you play it every day and have no variety. While with option 1 you have at least the option to choose which borderlands you want to go to. The problem with that is, that people will complain for example when map xyz is there home map for example. So it maybe gives a party a bigger advantage when they get those map as home map. So while option 1 gives us more map variety which i would really like to see it gives us also a more unfair matchup.

So my suggestion would be to have basically 4 Maps like:
1x Eternal Battleground
1x Desert Borderland
1x Alpine Borderlands
1x In the beginning maybe a second Alpine Borderlands (because it is very popular in the poll currently) and later then a new one maybe

But to have a fair matchup you should change the layout of Alpine and Dersert Borderlands to be more symmetric like Eternal Battlegrounds. So we won’t have the home map problem anymore. You have more map variety. And could even add more wvw maps and have something like a map pool, on each reset 4 maps could be picked randomly.

Maybe the EotMmap could be also added to that pool under another name like Skylands or so. And shuffle the map for EotM as well.

With such a system people who don’t like desert bordlands don’t have to go there and have still a few other map options.

So here was the following statement, which already states that this would be possible. Also to make them more symmetric and fair shouldn’t be a problem

Just to clarify. The Simultaneous Borderlands is a system that better supports a third map, than the rotation strategy. So an additional map would be more likely in that respect. However, our development priorities are still community driven. We wouldn’t start building another WvW map unless it was put to a vote, and won.

This post was about rotating more frequently, which also states that changing maps more frequently would be possible with additional changes. So I guess this would also allow a weekly shuffle of the maps.

I have seen a few posts inquiring if we could rotate between Alpine and Desert Borderlands faster than quarterly and I just wanted to clarify on why we currently proposed doing it quarterly. When we rotate maps we have to wipe score, objective status, and various other things to give us a clean startup when we swap maps. We also have to swap maps on Tuesdays because it requires a build (and currently production revolves around Tuesday releases and it isn’t reasonable to change the game-wide release schedule). Since rotating the maps currently involves disrupting the active match, the more often we rotate the maps, the more matches we end up disrupting. This manual map rotation is both time consuming for developers and disruptive for players. Assuming the community votes to keep the borderlands map rotation strategy, we’ll want to eventually automate this process, in a non-disruptive way, but before we would start that work, we’d need the community to prioritize that project over other WvW needs.

The Problem is you just ask “Do you want option 1 or 2”. Actually I think you should gather some idea of wvw map systems. Bring those ideas up in a poll, and let us vote for the complete idea of a wvw map system. And then you can start another poll for priority of the steps to those changes.

For my suggestion I could immagine like changing the maps to a symmetric layout first. Then give us Eternal, Alpine, second Alpine, Desert at the same time. Then work on more wvw maps and at last add a shuffled map pool for each week.

In the 5/31 poll Anet asked WvW players if we want desert and alpine borderland maps to be available simultaneously, or alternatively if we want just desert or alpine to be available one at a time and rotated every 3 months.

The problem is that Anet has already decided by default. They said that the maps will be rotated every 3 months unless a 75 percent majority vote to change that presumption. Not a simply majority, not even a super majority, but 75 percent.

I’m a big fan of Tyler and the new democratic approach Anet is taking, but don’t let this polling turn into joke. If Anet picks a default outcome before we even vote, and we need a 75 percent majority to overcome that presumption, then polling becomes a farce.

Also mentioned it before. Really a joke. Specially that it is 65 % for the change and 28% aginst it. Twice as much people are for the change than against it, and the change wouldn’t be done. If it’s somewhat like 55% for it would be maybe ok from a view that it is some work to make those changes happen. But definitivly still not a fair voting.

But I also think they should start some discussion before, gather more ideas and than bring up those ideas in the polls.

I voted for 2 alpine / 1 desert. I dont even really want that, because people will be kittened if they have desert map as homes, or the other way around. I just want the option for a 3rd map and a change to desert / alpine to a more symmetric and fair layout, which would more likely come with that change.

So, I just started playing WvW after leveling my character to 80. I played with a zerg a little bit and noticed zergs are not for me, unfortunately. Rewards are good, but no fun at all. What I actually enjoy is playing solo, so I was not sure I could actually enjoy WvW..

However, I heard some players talking about solo roaming, and taking on some WvW objectives also solo.

Could you guys give some insights on that? I mean, which objectives should I search when solo roaming? Also, which maps? And which WvW upgrades would be best for this goal?

Kinda everything is soloable. Of course on primetime a lot of people will def. But
during offtimes.

Of course if you wanna open a keep solo you should pick (guild) catas and place them so that you can open outer and inner wall. Sadly you have to run a few times. If you are a mesmer you can work with portal and be a little bit quicker on building your cata.

Also tried to solo sm a few times, but always to many oponents joined the battle. So had no luck on it.

Poll should have actually asked if we wanted it to come back, not how much of it we wanted. This is a really, really bad idea.

Whether you agree with it or not there are enough people out there that do like Desert Borderland, not to mention I can’t see Anet scrapping something they’ve worked on over a year. This poll is about appealing to both camps and letting the community decide how they want Desert back in. If you dislike it your best option is Simultaneous: 2 Alpine + 1 DB. This way you never have to set foot in Desert if you didn’t want to.

Yep, enough ppl liked it so much that it’s basically empty all the time and you don’t see anyone else in it for hours at a time. And on higher tier servers it’s basically treated as an overflow map like EotM on reset nights.

They will not delete something where they put so much offer in. And to be honest i am actually ok with that map, since the latest changes. But I really dislike the idea to have 3 times the same map, doesn’t matter which one. I just love to have some more variety there

Btw why do you only accept changes in your polls above 75%? oO shouldn’t it be 50%?
I mean currently there are 50%+10% for rotation and 30% against it. Twice as much people are for it, than against it. And it wont be accepted? Seems not fair :P

Also I guess you should clarifiy the options, guess ppl won’t realize they actually have desert borderlands for 3 months every 3 month

Yes or no for world linking poll?
Okay so I voted for yes cause I think servers which were dead before aren’t anymore.

But there are serval points that aren’t covered with such a poll. It is way more complex then just yes/no.

1.) Are you happy with the current server/world/team system in wvw, if not what would you wish for?
I personally would wish a system like in gw1 with kurzick and luxon, but with 3 participants. Because in gw1 had the feeling it kinda rebalanced itself, because of queue times. Of course we would have multiple instance of the maps to choose from. Like one eternal battlegrounds for each language and maybe some more English/international maps. But this is just my opinion, I guess there are many different opinions. But I really think you should ask the community a question like that!
And then make a poll to chose a system.

2.) Do you think the server linking helped the wvw situation?
Yes, I Think it helped dead server. But I’m not a linked server so I can’t say.
2.1.) Should servers be relinked every few matches or should be the servers fused to one server?
The thing I currently don’t understand is for what the is the planned relinking? I think it just will shuffle the wvw ladder again. So maybe fuse the servers into the bigger one for ever.

Dishonour

I had one night an windows update scheduele and my system rebooted and updated while i was in a pvp match. Of course it took way to long and i got dishonored. The dishonored time was about 7 minutes. kitten happens. Stupidity from my side anyway told my team in the match before i need to restart for updates and forgot it.
I was fine with the time, my team mates even won the match without me. So we just waited the time and queued up together again.

What was way more annoying: around 2 hours later i missed a qpop because i was on toilet for 30 seconds. And was dishonored for 30 miniutes after. Are you serious? additional 20minutes for missing a queue pop?

Had the same problem, also reported it ingame.
I guess it was caused by porting out myself instead of waiting to get ported out by the event mechanic. Also dying to fall damage or creatures didn’t help. Further I also tried to unbug myself with another transformation, but that wasn’t possible too.

At all i was on a T4 map and even organized the meta event following then… without any skills… since the map was full i didn’t like to relog, because I wouldn’t be able to join back in and loose my pariticipation. So I just stayed, still organized that event chain and was pretty useless :S just could revive some downed ppl

Please fix it!!!

Bug: Scrappers & Finishing

Out of balance? LOL. It can be killed really easily because it has low health and you can also interupt it. Further it has a cooldown of 20 seconds. If it doesnt finish stomping with in 8~10seconds, because it get interupted or you port away it will just disapear. And not to mention all those bugs where it just does nothing.

It can be really helpful yes, but it very situational and won’t always finish his job.

Stuck with the mesmer after some skill combo

I’m often stuck (cant move anymore till I use “/dance” command) after using a shatter combo like Greatsword 2 -> blink during animation of the previous skill -> F1 -> Greatsword 3.

I think it happens on GS2 + Blink, but not sure at all.
Also it doesn’t happen always just sometimes. Sometimes 2~5 times a day, sometimes 1~3 times a week. Anyway when this happens to me in pvp or wvw i’m pretty much dead, so this is really annoying.

I’ve got often the problem that you can’t hit something with gs1 or 4 because it is obstructed, which is definitivly in line of sight. Only with greatsword 2 could hit it.

Second: I think stronghold is pretty dead know. Cant be true that i have to wait more then 20 minutes to play a maxium of 15min stronghold.

No no, its dead. Everyone has the same long queue times for stronghold. Its a super boring map now though. If you get one or two cleric Elementalists to heal the NPCs in front of doors its like fighting that unbreakable golem in the lobby for 15 minutes.

Yeah thanks to the current meta and possible to heal way too much. Already kittenes me off in conquest. And i guess it won’t be fixed with the patch on tuesday.

The stronghold map and princip is cool and a lot of fun and a welcome alternation in pvp.

Let me take this opportunity to again say: let us queue outside of HotM like before!

Can only agree. They could just kick you from pvp queue on traveling. To prevent having game ready when you are in a loading screen.

Okay i just tested it a few more times.
First: I’m pretty sure the average queue times represents always all pvp modes, not only the one you queued.

In the last 2 day i tried to queue up for stronghold only a few times and canceled the queue after 15~30 mins. The average queue times was about 2~3. When i queued up later then with conquest i could join a game after 1~5 mins. So that was correctly.

Second: I think stronghold is pretty dead know. Cant be true that i have to wait more then 20 minutes to play a maxium of 15min stronghold.

[Suggestions] Future Elite Specializations

Some ideas for a mesmer specialization:

Seer / Seeker
I would like to see more aoe dps on mesmer, so this would be focused on that.

Weapon: Torch Mainhand
All skills should aoe of course. Envolve burning and revealing opponents. But also have a solid direct dps. Skill 2 and 3 would be groundtargeted of course

Skilltype: Symbols
All symbols are groundtargeting and envolve damage, ensnare people in that symbol or buff allies.

Classmechanic: Visions
Everytime you use a shatter you have a vision. A Vision should buff your defense or offense. Your Vision will help you to manage the future, for example the next few attacks could be unblockable, blocking or you gain a buff like aegis/protection/fury.

Demonhunter
Mostly another dps idea. Just a alternative play style.

Weapon: Pistol Mainhand (1200 range)
Skills are damaged focus and ensure that you can keep a distance to your foe. To keep distance there could be a imoblize. As well a shot + teleport away from the foe and leaving a clone, similar to staff 2.

Skilltype: Traps
Similar to Ranger or Guardian traps.

Classmechanic: Hunt him down
On using a shatter all illusions will teleport to your target and shatter nearly instantly.

Bard
_Another supportive side of a mesmer. Which focus on aoe targeting and persistance of phantasms as well. _

Weapon: Warhorn Mainhand
You are the centre of all warhorn skills, further attacks have a 900 Range and a 360° radius. Attacks could daze opponents, apply conditions and buff allies

Skilltype: Shouts
For Buffing and Healing allies in AoE

Classmechanic: Songs
Your shatters will be replaced by songs that don’t destroy your phantasms / illusions on usage. On activation you will mainly inspire your alles and granting them buffs for the next X seconds. Also all your phantasms will be healed and get a special effect on the next attack. Maybe phantasms shouldn’t die on targets death and also switch target with you.

I think there should be still phantasms. But i like the idea of having an additional effect on cast/spawn and having weaker phantasms then.

I mean just check out the phatasmal Mage, phantasmal warden or the utility phantasms, they are in a bad state at the moment. Adding an additional effect on cast could change that. And also would be way more useful if they die really quick.

But for sure phantasms from greatsword/sword offhand/ pistol have to be weaker then.

Also phantasm skills would be more usefull in large wvw fights.

Shared Inventory Slot Feedback [merged]

It should not a single item slot, it should be a bag slot!!!
People usually have different kind of stuff for what such a shared inventory would be needed. For me who plays mostly wvw I would store blueprint’s in them. So how many different kinds are there currently? About six? Also with a superior and a guild version. Uff already need 18 slots.. And there are wvw traps as well. Oh wait I need even more room for shared bufffood. Currently I only carry about 4-6 different food + 2 utility items but many characters use the same. And not to mention pve players often also have slayer potions. Which would also be great in such a shared inventory. Not to mention there will be enough other stuff to fit in there easily. Like those copper-o-mate, music instruments, some tonics.
I would easily fill 50 shared inventory slots with items that would be sense full to share!
And you give us 5? For a price of 700 gems each? 2800 gems for 5? About 35€ and I can’t even nearly carry all wvw blueprints. That is nealy as expensive than the extension HoT.

Wow… that greediness is hilarious.

10-20 shared slots for 800 gems would be fair and usefull. But a single shared slot without permanent bank access. Not really.

yeah but usually it was like sometimes you are quickly in (less then 2 minutes), somtimes it took a bit longer (2~4 minutes).

And now i have the feeling that i wait really often 5 minutes and longer. While the average queue time is still, 2~3 minutes.

Maybe that’s the average queue time for conquest and stronghold, but because i only play stronghold it takes longer for me. or something like that.

I have pretty often twice or triple as much, as the average queue time. Some days ago even nearly 4x the average queue time!!!

Great idea with chronophantasma, that’s really a issue atm.

Also maybe a symbol which type of phantasms are up would nice-to-have. Like a the specific weapon of a phantasm within the icon. And no weapon if it’s not a phantasm. So we can easily see how many gs phantasms for example are up.

Idm to be focused. But still I hate the lack in active defense.

My other two mains are engineer and mesmer and with them you can run completely offensive stats. While you still won’t die quickly.
On mesmer I currently have port, 2* shield block, 2*blur (3 seconds of evade), distortion 1~4 seconds invul and 2* invis.
Without including port, but with including invis I come to ~20seconds of active defense. I guess currently that in nearly maximum. I could combine it with continuum split to get even more.
On my engineer I also got 2*block, invul, evade and invis. Which should be like 15sec active defense. But I still have a lot of mobility skills and heal

First other classes can be healed while they have their active defense up. While. Necrosis death shroud doesn’t give us the possibility. Second death shroud as a defense against one or two works. But when 5 ppl jump you imoblize/lock you in place the death shroud won’t help us really and I often got ripped out of it in less then 3 seconds. It is a second health bar nothing more. Yes that second healthbar works as protection in small fights, but if we want to use it defensively it also means we should not or only rarely use our shroud offensively.

Therefore yes we can handle it with more defensive stats and many defensive spells, but we give up a lot of offensive potential.

Things I could imagine:

Spectral Armor could be changed to be an block vor invul spell for 3 seconds, while giving us 10~15% lifeforce on negating an attack. After those 3 seconds we could retrieve protection. It would be still similar below, but without " we change HP for lifeforce".

Also RS2 could be at lease a evade and get higher range and maybe should remove chill, criple and imoblize.

Flesh wurm without or with 1/4 sec cast time could also help.

Maybe some sort of new or altered minion skill: meat shield which negates some attacks.

I know getting all the achieves for part 4 of the story gives a select a stat amulet, but I also want minstrels rings and earings

Awesome, you also get 3 different mauderer amulet from part 1-3. But only amulets no rings or other stuff with the other new stats.

WvW Guild Mission: Collect Power Cores

The guild mission description says it starts once per hour on one of the borderlands. Assuming this is correct, you could split in three teams – one team per map – and roam/wait until it starts on one of the maps.

I actually prefer this mission to stay, because it’s very easy to do, even with small guilds. (Your experience may vary, depending on which server/tier you’re on.) But yeah, it’s actually a pve mission.

We were 2hours on the map in total. And the event didn’t took place, we checked all 3 maps frequently. I have also checked for the event 3 times today and was never available.

Yeah okay the good point is you can actually do this even solo. The event should at least be more frequently.

Edit: just see the timer that it will start in 10minutes. Finally^^

WvW missions and multi-server guilds

First currently WvW is about playing for YOUR server. (That’s how it currently is. I would also prefere some sort of 3 partitions system like with kuzick/luxon or a guild bound system, but doesn’t matter atm since we don’t have that)
To be atble to play wvw for anyserver at anytime would be completly pointless/useless, because it breaks the purpose of WvW: playing for your server.

Second restricting it to only some servers would make the madness perfect. A few can do what you suggest while others can’t. Those others will complain!!!

If you don’t have enough ppl on the same server for wvw missions and/or aren’t a wvw guild, you can still select that you only get pvp or pve missions. Just pick it. Yes you will get less favor but the cap is at 2000 favor per week anyway and you can unlock more mission slots. For example we get 1900 actually by only wvw mission, and we do them with 3 people because we are a really small roaming guild. So yeah we miss 100 favor points atm, but that isn’t really much. And we will be able to get those later as well, by doing only wvw missions.

Maybe some day you can pick 2 missions types of those 3, that will also help against this problem.

Suggestion: WvW Map Roations

How about WvW Map Rotation to bring some alternation to wvw.
We currently have 4 different wvw maps.
For “Side Borderlands” the old borderlands and the new desert borderlands. As well as Eternal Battlegrounds and Edge of the Mists, lets call them here “Central Borderlands”.

Every reset it will be randomized which “Side Borderlands” and which “Central Borderlands” will be available this week. In Future new Borderlands can be added to this rotation. Further we are still able to play the old maps from time to time, as well as the new ones.

PS: I thought wvw map rotation was planned with the release of desert borderlands, but seems like this wasn’t the case

What do you guys think, about some kind of map rotation/randomization?
PS: I don’t wanna hear something about something like “I dont want map X or Y on the map rotation, because I don’t like it”. Everyone has his preferences and that’s fine, but this shall be about some sort of variety in matchups.

WvW Guild Mission: Collect Power Cores

We have this mission this week:
Collect 10 powercores within 45minutes. WTF? PvE Like mission in WvW… argh annoying, but okay easy going I thought.

We met yesterday at 6:30pm to do it with all the other missions. Unfortunally when we wanted to deal with the collect powercores mission we had to noticed the event wasn’t going on. So okay we just roamend a little bit and waited. and waited. and waited. after one and a half hour i checked out the wiki.

The event only takes place every 3 hours. What the kitten? Not only that we have to do something that doesn’t help our server directly and feels like stupid pve content. We also have to wait up to 3 hours to be able to do that mission cause the event isn’t going on. That is really annoying. We are kinda forced to adjust or guild mission now depending on what mission we got and when related events occur.

Please arenanet replace this with some more wvw related mission which doesn’t depent on some stupid event that only takes place every 3 hours.

Had the same idea, would really make the new borderland and probably eotm more fun. I don’t see neccessary on EB / old Borderlands for that. nice to have but would cause a lot of work to do.

But I don’t like tiring pve gliding mastery to wvw stuff. Everyone should have access to the same gliding abilities in wvw, so maybe just only basic gliding. Maybe also to updrafts if they will add some, which would really good for mobility, specially in the area of air element.

Also just a normal ranged attack should kock you out of the glider (at least for a few seconds) so ppl can’t just glide away from you while you can’t to kitten. Ok maybe a parachute could be opened so they don’t instantly die to fall damage. Something like that.

9.) Decoration in Arena
We already got turrets that apply conditions and cc to us. Would be cool if you ad some target golems (light, medium, heavy, indestructible) for testing puposes and boon applying turrets.

Also down skills have a lot of problems. At all hammer skill 2 and 3 as well as mace 2 and axe 5 have a lot of problems with unsteady terrain. This should really get fixed asap

It felt like they planned to make a great story but then were forced to get to an quick end. I mean the whole story was more like “let’s rescue our friends” and in the next moment you just kill mordremoth. Sorry that was such a miserable jump in the story and it ruined it. So many things were missing and it was rather short. I guess they will continue it with the living story.

To me it really looked like devs were forced to come to a quick end there because of release or so. Terrible decision if that’s the case.

Welcome back. Server only matters for wvw these days. The old serversystem got removed from pve and replaced by a dynamic system so maps are not empty in some Servers with low population.

The lack of crafting stations is an intentional design decision that was discussed during guild week. They want the major cities to still have purpose, and to be populated. Not just be ghost towns because guilds halls make things more convenient.

This is probably why your characters don’t remain in the GH map as well.

Aww okay Okay, I can live with the issue of the crafting station.
But that we don’t remain in GH map is really annoying -__-
Also stuff like bank and trading post is really important to me for a guild hall.
That’s why they are points 1-3

This is not and shall not be about issues with the guild hall upgrade system or issues of scribing

1.) Characters don’t remain in guild hall after going to character selection / log out
This is really annoying that you can’t park your character there.

2.) Normal Bank access is missing
Please add that by default with guild bank access. Yes you can currently use the scribing station to access your bank. But there should be real bank access.

3.) Trading Post access is missing
Didn’t found a upgrade at the market or general guild stuff

4.) Crafting stations for other disciplines are missing
Also no upgrade available.

5.) “To many decorations in that area”
just wanted to crease a Halloween area with serval pumpkins. And got really quickly that issue.please increase that amount.

6.) Spacing between decorations
Some decorations have a large spacing so you can’t place items next to it.

7.) Placeable Waypoints
Would be cool if we could place additional waypoints ourself and define the default waypoint

8.) The big banners in guilded hollow are way to bright

Totally agree, another problem is that it doesn’t scale with the guild roster size/ count of member. We are a 8 men guild. And have to pay the same amount like 50 ppl guild or a 200 ppl guild.

This could be easily fixed by binding it to the guild roster size.
Like less 25people pay 10 amount of material x while a guild with a roster of 50 pay 20. And so on.
To prevent the following case “upgrade the whole guild with a low roster size and then invite all people” you could increase the upgrade cost of the guild roster size with the guild level.

Also that we got ripped from serval utilities that we had before is not okay. We have to pay now for claiming wvw objectives? Wtf is this? And not only once, for every type camp/tower/keep. Also now we need guild level 37 or 39 to use the +5 supply capacity buff, which is really essentially to a small scale wvw guild.

Please fix this!

Sometimes I recive the message without issues somtimes i have issues. I currently don’t always get that message, only sometimes.
Guild: Unyielding Champions [UC], Riverside

If I get the message and the errors I have these issues or a combination of them:
- Can’t enter guild hall
- Guild Panel shows me as the only member, and on opening I receive a time out message
- chat doesn’t work
- yesterday also my party system didn’t work. I tried to join a party of guild mates they accepted the request. After the ui didn’t show up my party members but I showed up in the ui for my party members. During this issue I experienced issues with the login server, too.

uhm guys, isn’t the map “dragons stand” about some shadow dragon? At least i’m pretty sure i had some event there about some champion of the shadow dragon or so

Maybe the map event there gives a drop which is required for these shoulders:

Another idea would be some relation to a smokescale. Had a Pristine Shadow Claw which belongs to smokescale. But it didn’t fit in with glacial lodestone.
