Since the patch thieves are much more OP’d than before. GG Anet. Waiting on TESO.
1. Downed state.
2. Tag for loot/rewards. On the surface this seems good… Everyone wins! But look closer and you find the reason for massive zerg play being the best way to do anything.
3. Keep/Tower design in WvW. Defenders don’t have the advantage, try to fight from the walls and you’re a sitting duck. Only option is #4.
4. Overpowered seige weapons. We’d rather fight with our normal skills than sit on an arrowcart.
5. Small zones. Leads to zerg play in WvW. In PvE everything is just too close. Too many waypoints makes it even worse, leaves no sense of danger/adventure.
My concern isn’t whether the runes are OP or not, its that they might only be available in level 30+ fractals (ala Ascended Backpiece).
If they have other ways of getting them then great. I’m all for more build options.
Moaners will moan before they actually know what they are moaning about.
Fierce forum warrior! Maybe you like grinding fractals but not everyone does.
The runes of resistance sound pretty powerful to me.
Either keep them out of WvW or make them available there. Perplexity runes are bad enough already.
New Runes and Sigils
Those braving the dangers of the most difficult fractals will find that their bravery is well-rewarded by a chance at brand-new sigils and runes to adorn their gear!
If they make the Kill Players achievement repeatable all these problems go away. Maybe increase the number of kills required so it isn’t too easy.

If the WvW is better than the alternatives then I stay.
If TESO can live up to what they are promising for RvR then GW2 stands to lose a large number of WvW players. Only time will tell.

Seriously ANet do SOMETHING, ANYTHING for those of us that like to defend and you will make many people happy. And no PPT means nothing when you make the zerging the only rewarding content. With this patch you have officially created a new game, that of flip wars 2… sad really.
The WXP drops are there to encourage killing people, not just PvDoor. If you’re defending then you should get more WXP than before with these drops.
•Consumable WXP items have been added to player loot bags in WvW, in values up to 25,000 WXP. These items are account bound.
It’s about time, lets hope the drop rate is decent.
Rewards should be given to all group members within a reasonable range (not afk at border keep).
If you’re not participating your group will kick you anyway.
1 Shot kills are not content.
And yes, I have 21k HP.
This is just stupid. I showed up at Teq and got 1-shotted twice before I could even figure out what was going on.

Here’s one neat trick with splitters:
Char A has [infused] back item like say Endless Quiver that you want to pass it on to char B
Step 1 Transmute crystal so quiver gets stats of an account bound back item (ex: fervid censer / sclerite / toymaker bag)
Step 2 Result will be a quiver looking account bound with low stats, put it in bank.
Step 3 Log on B, retrieve it from bank
Step 4 Use trans splitter you get the acc bound back item back AND you can enjoy your infused Endless quiver on B
Does that work with rings/accessories? Anyone tried it?
This is a nice list, but for those who want to gather them a bit faster, WvW focus on camps/towers (most groups do) is an easy 100 per hour, plus many champ bags
Don’t they drop 4 per camp and 8 per tower? That means you would need to cap 15 camps and 5 towers in an hour to get that rate.
Best way to get them is in WvW. Last friday I got 150 of them in about 4-5 hours.(Maybe more I didn’t really paid attention…) As a WvWer my issue are with the draconite. I have been doing the temple zerg run on my server last week and made about 200 ish. I will be done with components after the next temple zerg.
Nope, I can get 100 in 2 hours by running to the basic chests. It took longer the first time to figure some out but now its easy. If you have stealth you don’t even have to clear any mobs.
lets hope it does soulbound —> acount bound with soulbound on use
@ ommu how are you dealing with only haveing 1 set? i think i have 5 on my guardian just alone
I’m talking about the ascended rings and accessories bought with laurels and commendations. I had 1 set for WvW and another with MF for PvE. Now there’s no reason to have 2 sets on 1 character and I would like to move them to an alt.
The ones I use are all zerker stats, and for WvW I use armor with some toughness/vit to make up the difference.
And no, it remains soulbound when you change the stats (I had it equipped when the change went live). So I’m stuck with 2 soulbound sets on my main.
I definitely need a soulbound → accountbound item. I had a MF set of ascended items on my main that I would like to give to an alt now that the stats are changed. No point having 2 sets on 1 char anymore.
I’m crafting exotics to level to 500, then I’m gonna flush those in the toilet on the off chance I get the precursor.
Just wondering what I should start working on today so I can craft ascended greatsword ASAP?
Darn, got me beat. I topped out at 3.6 million karma. Then burnt it to the ground on jewellry boxes. I now have 564.
Yes, but I’m not about to pay rl cash to get something I could earn in game.
Now thakittens raining loot in the last 2 updates its probably better to just zerg the clockwork mobs to earn gold and buy gems.
Another vote for human/commoner.
I’ve tried all the classes and engineer is the fastest. Run speed (1/3 chance from elixer H) and go Pistol/Pistol. Going to trading post or weapon merchant just slows you down, it can be done with the starter pistol and one you get as a reward.
Other classes rely on a lucky drop or a trip to TP to get a ranged weapon, and you need range to do the burning hospital stage at level 4.
Be prepared for endless Claw of Jormag farming sessions. Nobody will touch the dragon, only farming the champs.
It would have been so easy for them with this living story too…
I love your idea to unite PvE and WvW!
Another option could be to put 4 PvE, 2 PvP and 4 WvW tiers on the daily, so that all players should enter at least two play-modes to finish it. Same idea with the monthly.
Or you can make one alter another… for example, if some WvW fortress is on an enemies’ hands on WvW, then some events in PvE simply doesn’t start. And while some boss in PvE is alive, then some npc race at WvW is invulnerable.

The idea is to provide more options so I don’t have to run dungeons or minigames, not to force people into modes they don’t like.
You have to do 3 and 4 without leaving the instance.
This happened to me too, got it on Gnashblade by doing both in the same instance, but didn’t ket Kiel when I did them seperately.
It would have been so easy for them with this living story too…

I spent some time farming for charged lodestones last night, and it really seems that these have replaced the regular rare drops. Not enough evidence to know for sure, but I got only the votes and kites as rares with 200% MF.
Omnomberries. With the cupcake supply being eaten up they’ve already started to rise.
Why put a living story achievement into such a bugged place? Bugged on 3 different servers, can’t open the door.
Another mesmer. Same race, guild, armor style and dye. We do that and it works great. Sometimes people rage and complain that a mesmer popped 7 clones…..

You can buy them from any karma vendor in Orr.
I think you can get up to 95% karma boost.
Karma Boost – 50%
Ice Cream – 5%
Guild Bonus – 15%
Guild Banner – 10%
Karmic Infusion (ascended necklace) – 15%
Revealed debuff should be 60s. If you start a fight, finish it.
Each player kill doesn’t guarantee a badge drop.
If you solo someone you will get either 0, 1, or 2 badges.
If you down someone but someone else stomps him you will get 0, 1, or 2 badges. The other guy will also get 0, 1, or 2 badges.
If 100 players zerg 1 dude then each of the hundred players will get 0, 1, or 2 badges.
It’s not always about “winning” 2 vs 6. If the two manage to down 1 or 2 before they get rolled they deserve the kills. With downed state you can’t even do that.
Removing downed state would help the undermanned side to feel they can do something before the zerg facerolls them.
Mini-pet crafting. What better use of silk and leather than to make Elmo!
Balance shouldn’t be necessary. In a 3-way fight you are always outnumbered, which means you always have a target-rich environment.
The problem is that in GW2 the advantage is always to the greater numbers, and its difficult to feel like you are accomplishing anything unless you have more people on your side. The game design just favors numbers more than skill or tactics. Down state, no autoloot, not splitting WXP between attackers, AOE cap, no cc invulnerablility all favor the zerg.
Anet just implemented the 3-way fight without understanding what made it so successful in DAOC. Another game that was close to being great, but will never quite make it. Makes me a sad panda.
If someone beats me in WvW I can respect that and their skill.
If someone comes up to me in Lions Arch and tells me how good they are they will get put on ignore.
1) Revealed debuff increased to 30s.
2) Arrow cart damage reduced 50%
3) Remove downed state.
4) Split loot/badges/wxp between attackers.
5) Bigger maps with more distance between objectives.
According to ANet devs:
“Just move on. You aren’t going to kill him.”
There might just be the opposite effect. I’m going to be spending a lot more time in WvW and that probably means I’ll get 1 or 2 rares/ectos per day rather than the 8-10 I get now from world bosses.
Add in the changes to make the daily easier to get in WvW and for sure there will be less trips to wrld bosses.
It is still random loot from the tables. You still have a chance at rares, exotics, and even precursors.
I stopped playing shortly after the change and came back this week. The only rares or exotics that Ive received have been from the side chest that appears in your window, never from the chest sitting on the ground in the world.
I guess I’m really unlucky? Would make sense…I did pump in about 140 rares into the mystic toilet last night to receive about a dozen or so exotics, no pre cursor.

140 rares into the toilet at the going rate of 1 exotic per 5 tries means you should have gotten 9 exotics. If you got 12 you were quite lucky.
Thieves are the biggest problem in WvW right now. Still way overpowered 1v1, so everyone joins the zerg. There is hardly any small group action anymore because anybody that leaves the blob gets facerolled by thieves.
Easy to fix.

*Secondly buy exotic gear (no pony Berserker)
*Thirdly learn to play your class and know your enemy
*Fourth use 1v1 build no “zerg zombie build”
