Wish Tomes could be used to rank up WvW too.

The Elite specs this expansion look really good. Ele is my main but there are other i am interested in too like Firebrand, Soulbeast and Scourge.. so many choices.

Really looking forward to this expansion.

I do like the mastery system as it gave experience a use past level 80 but my issue was the HoT maps because i hated them so much that i never been able to get many points.
I’m hoping with PoF that doing a map is more enjoyable with the implementation of mounts at least.

Managed to recently get 100% map completion on Verdent Brink and Auric Basin but i have already reached my limit with the maps.. Tangled Depths…. Ergh! >.<

Compared to GW1, there’s much less individual power in GW2.
Compared to Heroes of the Storm for example, which I briefly tried, GW2 has much more individual power. Not much of a contest as I’ve never played a game with as low ceiling as HotS – no matter how skilled you are you’re only going to do a tiny bit more than someone who is mediocre with the same hero. I’m not sure I ever felt as powerless as there, so I stopped.

Since people are comparing GW2 with GW1 I’ll give my three examples:
1. 55hp monk. A great example how with creativity and skill you can increase your power immensely.
2. My Dervish build in Fort Aspenwood. Pure tank. I would play on a Kurzick side, go out to aggro one turtle and luxon warriors around it, then switch to the other side and aggro the rest. I would thus in total be tanking 2 turtles, 8 luxon warriors, and few enemy players who would try to kill me. With good build I made, and skillful execution, I was near-invincible. That was power. I didn’t need to kill anyone, I just needed to stall until time ran out and we won.
3. Being a Mesmer in PvP. GW1 mesmer could easily kill an unaware caster in 2 seconds by just using one skill (Backfire). And anyone remembers frag mesmer? That was power

GW1 PvP as a Mesmer was soo much fun!

Only class i like to play as is an Ele but the tempest was really underwhelming. Same goes to the Balance patches.

Only a few i can think of but i don’t play as often as i used too, i check Dulfy for updates and see if anything of interest pops up

I was hoping we would get some issue sorted out with this patch but all we get is;

Tempest just needs a bit of tweaking thats all, the traits look as if they have been put together haphazardly in my opinion.

Without DS, the Tempest build would be a joke in PvP. Right now most people would rate it at below average, only higher than Berserker.

If you can’t even break through 10% of a Tempest, it’s really your issue. Even on my condi Reaper, I could do it easily.

Then the ele is playing badly. If you cannot stay over 90% hp as a DS ele against a condi build, it’s entierly your fault. See, how can this go both ways?

WvW needs rewards.

Now the only mode that is rewarding is PvE. Anet is just pushing all non-PvE players to grind mobs instead of doing what they want.

Why no WvW-exclusive and PvP-exclusive legendaries for the most dedicated players?

I just want to buy more stat varients with my Badges of Honor. I don’t recall the vendors updating since release. Long overdue and i don’t think it is being unresonable, glad we can salvage WvW armor at least.

Check in the collections and it should list the items you need for it and it also tells you where to find the items too.

I’ve personaly enjoyed Tempest in all the game formats but there are a lot of Quality of Life needed for it; Harmonious Conduit i think should be baseline.

Warhorn needs a bit of a rework too.

Does anyone actually get put into a “more populated map” when they click yes in that pop-up box? Every time I click that button I just get put into a different, still low populated, map.
The main issue is that a lot of people taxi into specific maps for meta events. This results in those maps being completely full, and the others being essentially dead.

I am always lumbered in the least populated zone..

With the release of HoT, a few new runes have been added that really bring some interesting mechanics for differing ele builds. I honestly think that this is one majorly overlooked aspect that might help make new runes.

Here are some runes, and how they might be truly useful for eles:

Superior rune of Leadership:
+30% Boon duration, +36 all stats, when using an elite convert 2 condis aoe into boons (45s CD)

This rune is awesome, even if just for the boon duration. There was a time (before you took a full set) when eles just mixed and matched 2 sets to get +Boon Duration that was about this high, and that was nerfed. It looks like they reintroduced it. Eles make good use of the celestial stats, 30% boon duration is INSANE (esp. considering that strength runes are so great giving 45% duration to just might), and the elite effect is useful if you are taking rebound. These should see some use, imo.

Superior Rune of Durability
+175 Toughness, +125 Vitality, +20% Boon Duration, Apply AoE prot and regen (3s) and resistance (1s) on hit with a 20s ICD

These are very interesting for a support/bunker ele. 20% boon duration is significant, and that extra prot and regen should equate to a condi cleanse and more physical defense, the resistance won’t hurt either. These are the defensive version of Pack Runes, and are worth considering.

Superior rune of the scrapper
+175 Power, +100 Toughness, -7% Damage within 600 range

For a melee brawler like d/d ele, this adds an insane amount of damage mitigation. Stacking with -40% damage from prot (which you should be able to keep nearly 100% of the time now), you get -47% damage in melee range, while still dishing out pretty good damage. When combined with all of the cleanse available, you essentially get an incredibly tanky brawler with great team cleanse and decent damage. It is hard to imagine taking anything other than cele, even with this.

Has anybody else tested other runes that really give interesting effects for your builds?

Those runes of leadership and durability. Are they real or just runes you would like to see? I checked TP and can’t find these runes so yeah.

In all fairness i like the masteries, i wish the Tyria masteries were easier to level like the Maguuma.

Contact support and explain to them what happened. They may restore the item back to you.
