If you get killed during the second immobilize period at the start (after the buggy period where people can pick up supplies before it immobilizes you again) you spawn without the first stack of hunger or the grace period buff. I’m gonna guess this is what causes not getting a chest, because for whatever reason the game doesn’t consider you a contestant anymore.

The numbers on screen from multi-hit skills are cumulative. The last number you see on whirling wrath is the TOTAL damage of the skill, not the damage from the last hit. So if you add up all the numbers in the combat log they should be the same as the last number you see on screen.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Mobile strikes does not prevent you from being immobilized. It just means that when you use a skill with a leap/charge component, immobilize will be removed.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mobile_Strikes has a list of skills that work with it.

Make it so it’s a different key for looting and finishing and it would be fine (This would also solve that problem in WvW).
This is already available. Bind a key to aoe loot.

There are mystic fountains in the eternal battlegrounds jump puzzle that grant a 5-minute stealth, but disable all your skills and traits until it ends.

Daily achievements are account-wide. If you complete them on one character, you complete them on all characters. You can even complete part of them on one character and the rest on another.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
The tooltip adds PvP armor and regular armor together.
I don’t understand this response. Perhaps you could clarify as I have the same problem.
Basically I have six of the Superior Rune of the Dolyak. This is in normal gear, not sPvP gear. For some unknown reason, it shows 7/6 runes equipped, which is incorrect. Screenshot attached.
The (X/6) shows the total number of the rune that you have equipped, between both your PvE and PvP armor. It can go up to 14 at most – 6 + 1 (aqua breather) for both PvE and PvP. So either you have one dolyak rune on your aqua breather, or you have one dolyak rune on your pvp gear.

If you have autotargeting on in game options, using rtl will pick a target for you even if you have nothing targeted. Are you sure it’s off? Because single clicking on empty space does drop target for me.

And required rank
all we ask is you are very skilled.

LOL did you hack that gear? I know only a few are 50 like Java….. is 50.. so did you hack it or what? If not post SS of your lvl….. SO basically take off Ctrl Shift H
You realize he’s in pve, right? So he’s wearing pve gear.

Warriors can’t use Vengence right off the bat when they’re down, you know. If I remember correctly (correct me if I’m wrong), it starts off already in cooldown, the warrior has to wait for a while before he can pop it. Anyway, if its a warrior you should expect it.
who cares if it has a timer? every downed #3 has a timer. how many of them let people get back up from a downed state?
if everyone were supposed to be able to get back up on their own then I suppose ANet wouldn’t have designed our #4 ability to be interrupted by damage, would they?
there’s no getting around the fact that it’s completely out of line from the intended design of the mechanic.
edit: of course I’d have nothing to complain about though if ANet would just give my necro access to some form of stability so I could stomp efficiently…
Vengeance takes long enough to come up that you can start stomping when they go down, get knocked down by their #2, then still stomp them before vengeance comes up. You can also block a warrior’s #2 with a minion, or put down well of darkness to make it miss. Or just, you know, walk away to 1200 range, wait them to get up, dodge once, then cripple/chill them and walk away and they’ll die.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Vengeance Question – why do warriors seem to be immune to CC once they get back up under the effects of vengeance even though there’s no stability boon?
bumping. I’d really like an answer to this question.
You get ~5 seconds of invulnerability when you vengeance.

Have you transferred servers recently?
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
haha nice job on teh maths breh.
I must respectfully disagree.
I decided to mess around with some numbers and this is what I came up with. Paid tournaments in real money terms are pretty cheap but I still don’t think creating economic barriers to entry for competitive PvP is a good idea. Without further comment, here are the numbers…
1 gem = 1.25cents usd
1 tournament ticket = 3.6gems
1 player’s tournament entry value: 22.5cents or 18 gems
1 team’s tournament entry value: $1.125 or 90 gems1 Paid Tournament total entry value: $9 or 720 gems
Total “Monetary” Payout: $3.75 or 300 gems
3rd-4th place prize value: 40 tickets or 144gems or $1.80
ArenaNet takes in 160 Tournament tickets or $7.20 or 576 gems and pays out 300 gems or $3.75.ArenaNet’s rakes $3.45 or 276 gems from the tournament prize pool. This is a rake of 38.33% of the total prize pool.
Uh.
30 tickets for 360 gems. 12 gems/ticket. Where are you getting 3.6?
Total entry cost for a paid tournament is not 160 tickets, but 200 (8 teams x 5 people x 5 tickets) or 2400 gems worth of tickets. Total payout is 40 tickets and 1500 gems (not 300… 180 per person for the winning team, 120 per person for 2nd place), or 1980 gems worth of tickets.
1 gem = 1.25cents usd ($10 or 1000 cents/800 gems)
1 tournament ticket = 12 gems (360 gems/30 tickets)
1 player’s tournament entry value: 75 cents or 60 gems (5 tickets)
1 team’s tournament entry value: $3.75 or 300 gems (25 tickets)
1 Paid Tournament total entry value: $30 or 2400 gems (200 tickets)
Total “Monetary” Payout: 1500 gems or $18.75 (180 gems x 5 people + 120 gems x 5 people)
3rd-4th place prize value: 40 tickets or 480 gems or $6 (4 tickets x 10 people)
ArenaNet takes in 200 Tournament tickets or $30 or 2400 gems and pays out 1980 gems or $24.75.
ArenaNet’s rakes $5.25 or 420 gems from the tournament prize pool. This is a rake of 17.5% of the total prize pool.

Runes of svanir just need to be fixed so you can’t contest points while invulnerable, like with pretty much every other invulnerability in the game. Other than that I’m pretty sure this is working as intended.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Asura for pvp, because you’re too small for anyone to see banish coming.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
The chests aren’t rewarded until the tournament ends. So if you lose in forest, you have to wait until the kyhlo match ends to get your reward. The chest won’t show up until both the kyhlo match is finished and you either change maps or relog.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
This happens when you try to pick up an object while moving, if you have to be standing still to pick it up. Happens with warrior banners all the time.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Yep, glory buys pvp gear, and you can get newer (and generally cooler) gear every 10 ranks. The gear is purely cosmetic, so new players are on even ground gear-wise.
You cannot bring PvP gear into PvE, but there are some pvp rewards that can be used to earn money for PvE, though it’s not really time-efficient. PvP reward chests can give you unidentified dyes, which can be sold, and paid tournaments can reward gems.

Let’s not forget about the guardians’ invulnerable spirit weapons, some on perma-summon. Why are they even targetable?
They’re not perma summon. The shortest cooldown is sword at 30s, and they don’t start cooling down until the weapon dies. So you get maybe 50% uptime.
I don’t know why they’re even targetable, but I have seen them take damage sometimes. Not sure from what, since whenever I try my attacks just whiff…
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
2. Where are you getting the +82% duration to get a bonus for a 1s burn from? You’d need +100%. It ticks once per second. That said, it’s not that simple, because fractional durations do stack. So with +50% burn duration, if you applied 2 1s burns in a row (second one before the first runs out) you’d get 3 ticks of burn damage. If more than one person is applying burning, it goes through the durations in the order they were applied, like so:
Person A has 0 condition damage, person B has 1000 condition damage.
Person A applies 5s of burning, Person B applies 5s of burning, Person B applies 2s of burning, Person A applies 2s of burning.
First 5 burn ticks deal damage using A’s condition damage. Next 7 use B’s condition damage. Last 2 use A’s again.
3. No, +% damage modifiers never boost condition damage, only raw damage. And even if they did, it wouldn’t matter if the stacks were applied after the initial one or not. These damage modifiers work on damage you do regardless of whether or not you applied the effect/used the skill before meeting the condition. Might, for example, can be applied after you inflict burning and will increase the burning damage. This works the other way, too – might wearing off after applying burning will cause the burning to start doing less damage.

3200 power what. You can’t even get that much. It’s impossible.
He means Attack and Armor, not power and toughness.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
You cannot add upgrade components with a level requirement to gear with a lower level requirement (would allow your higher level characters to add very powerful gems to low level gear, then give it to your low level characters. Then imagine a level 20 with gear slotted with full exquisite ruby orbs getting scaled up for WvW… he’d have like 3000 power). Since the mad memories has no level requirement (effectively a level requirement of 1) you can only add the very lowest tier of jewels to it. You can transmute its appearance onto a higher level backup item and then add a better jewel to it, though.

•why cant we use our hard earned HOM items in pvp ? it would be really cool to be actually able to use the items we used so much time to farm..
You can. The HoM vendor has a second tab for PvP versions.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
The (X/6) message counts both your PvE and PvP gear. This is a UI bug. Your PvP gear is by default slotted with six Superior Runes of the <Profession>. You’re only getting the bonuses from the ones you actually have, the tooltip just thinks you have more.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Not sure what causes this, but using any skill with a movement component or sometimes just swapping weapons fixes it.

For the pets…
If you hit deposit all collectibles they get sent to your bank. Check there.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
If you try, while moving, to pick up an environmental item that requires you to stand still to pick it up, your character will keep running in the direction you were going for a few seconds, with no way to stop yourself or turn.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
You get 1 trait point per level every level after level 10. So you just haven’t earned any points yet! Level up and you’ll get them.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
ANY other sigil with a cooldown that triggers will prevent the sigil of battle from triggering. I mentioned other weaponswap ones just because those will prevent it every single time. Other sigil types will only prevent it most of the time.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
All sigils share the same cooldown. If you have two sigils with effects on weaponswap, the mainhand one triggers, then goes on cooldown, so the offhand does not trigger.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
You’re probably hitting Deposit all Collectibles. The minipets are a collectible, so they get deposited when you do that. You can prevent it by getting an Invisible bag to put them in.

“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
This happens sometimes due to lag, I think, when your client shows the player in one location, and you finish them, but their actual location is further away, out of finisher range. Try firing a projectile at them, see where it goes, and if you can finish them from there.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
I’ve seen this too, though it fixed itself partway through the fight. When it first spawned it just glided along the ground instead of walking.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Personal points are assigned the same way in tournies, but you get 100 points per match won with the reward chest, regardless of how many personal points you earned.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Should be a bug.For me rich mithril nodes(have not been in lower level areas for some time) still reward same amount of 10.Sometimes both normal/rich even give additional piece-3+1 for normal,10+1 for rich.Encountered a bugged guess ori node in Cursed Shore which gave me only 2 instead of 3 ores. Also yesterday harvested a whole 8 pieces from same orian truffel node in Cursed Shore.
The extra uses are from world vs world match bonuses – one of them gives a % chance for extra gathering node uses.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
All dungeon armors preview identically because you’re looking at the rares, which are identical in appearance. The second tab has exotics.
And that hat is just really, really common.
Not sure what the message is about, though.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Not a bug.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Here we go, took me a bit to find it:
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
The ??? in the monthly achievements is intentional (someone asked Jon Peters about it in the heart of the mists last night). It’s an unknown objective that they’ll reveal later or something like that.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
You can only have stacks from one of the stacking sigils at a time.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Nodes seem to have set locations where they can appear, and will appear randomly in some, but not all, of those locations every time the server resets. So any new build will cause them to be in new positions. This is normal.
Each node also has a set respawn time based on its type. Orichalcum, for example, has a longer respawn time than mithril, and rich nodes have longer respawns than normal ones.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
This didn’t happen to me, but I did it yesterday, and I did notice that one of the mortars could be repaired with the F key after you destroyed it, and then became friendly. So you probably repaired it while standing in it and got stuck.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
I tested it with a friend and can confirm that the guardian skills are the same size, regardless of race. Another issue with Shield of Absorption that might cause people to think it’s smaller – the pushback seems slightly shorter than the radius of the skill, so if two guardians stand right on top of a target and use it in succession, they’ll push back twice. This happens even if a norn uses it, then an asura, or vice versa.
The hammer protection field, interestingly, looks bigger on a short human than a norn, but has the same effective radius for both.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Please try to use more descriptive thread titles (e.g. – [Skill Challenge] Warmaster Yulia does not work)
This and the dozens of other broken skill challenges have been reported probably millions of times by now. I assure you they’re aware of the problem. The best you can do is wait for a server reset and try to get there before it bugs again, until they figure out what the problem is.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
As far as I can tell, you can only sell/buy so many items before it starts giving you the error. Usually going to pick up your money/items lets you sell more.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
It seems to stop progressing when you leave the current zone.
It is a lot easier at 80, though. One dungeon run (assuming rewards don’t bug…) gives you like 170k exp.
“Come! Break your weapons upon me!”
Show the thread saying so. unless they’re up on higher ground then me i’ve never had trouble hitting a enemy treb thats hitting me.
They are. The red team keep in EB can treb the walls of stonemist without any way to counter treb them because of the height difference. And the keep’s virtually impossible to take in most cases because it’s fully upgraded and right next to their spawn.
