If you get disconnected there goes your boosters down the drain…
A change to queue the account for wvw rather than toon would be very welcome. At least during long queue times then you can do pvp or are able to change professions to get better comp for your group.
This would be the best fix to implement.
Umm so do not use them until you get into the map?

Maybe you should go and learn about the various type of boosters and their duration…

ANet needs to quickly address the WvW queue times because we are wasting hours and hours of our boosters time (bought with gems = money) while waiting to get into any WvW map.
Presently, 50% of boosters time are wasted while waiting in queue.

One of the worst armor skins in-game…
Lets just imagine that 10% of GW2 player base do raids.
Maybe 50% of the 10% will try to get Legendary armor…so, in the end, ANet is investing a lot of time and resources to satisfy 5% of its player base.
In my book, that is bad business strategy.
I understand that Legendary Armor is supposed to be hard to get but everyone should be able to do it if they want, no matter the chosen path.
Locking Legendary Armor behind raids is just another wasted opportunity…
Just an example: A well known Basketball Shoes brand launches a new awesome flashy basketball shoes model but only allows NBA players to buy them and they can not sell them to anyone else…not the smartest business decision, right?
Basically, millions of potential costumers will be kept away with their money burning their pockets but unable to use it…so many gems that could be sold for the needed gold…

ANet needs to quickly address the Commanders Tag price and features.
Currently, is just too expensive with no benefits or positive features at all. Pure gold sink…
Crafting ascended armor is the most unwise thing to do in GW2.
After so many people leaving the original GW2 team there is only one left and looks like the person that does not let the game evolve in the right direction..:(
GW2 could last much more than 6 years under the right management.

It speaks volumes about ANet management priorities that after almost 7 years, the mouse arrow issue is not solved yet.

It is so easy to increase WvW population that ANet not doing it just hints they are not interested in it:
1. Much better drops from killing enemy players;
2. 4 weeks WvW tournaments every 4 months with awesome rewards;
3. WvW unique armor/weapons skins.

Come on, legendary armor skins look awful…
The sad truth is that 75% of the legendary weapons skins/animations are just not worth the grind.
From the published pictures, it seems all legendary armor sets are really awful.
Lets hope ANet can still do something about it.
Great idea OP. Thinking about the details I propose the following:
1. All new WvW roles/jobs should not change the player vs player damage/mitigation mechanics in force. Damage/mitigation against NPC’s can be changed;
2. Presently, WvW is all about the big blob zerg logic. Anything that changes it to a more important role for small parties influence on the overall system will be good. WvW will be more interesting with several commanders leading smaller squads in each map;
3. An easy way to implement an initial version of WvW roles/jobs will be to assign different tags to commanders, each tag represented by a symbol illustrating his squad role and providing to all squad members the correspondent buff for the role. For example, SCOUT Commander (tag symbol an eye) will provide to all his squad members extra movement speed while not in combat, extra stealth duration, etc;
4. Using this opportunity to decrease the price of the Commander tag mainly because the number of commanders have been steadily decreasing over time and with this new system having a commander tag would have a measurable and meaningful effect instead of being just a tag for people to run behind;
5. And as a final touch, adjusting the Outnumbered buff to provide extra useful buffs like less supply requirements to build siege (Resourceful Resistance), extra movement speed (Despaired Swiftness), extra damage/extra mitigation against NPC’s (Courageous Resistance), etc.

ANet need to realize that Commanders (with a commander tag) provide a valuable service to the company and to the community.
Locking the Commander tag behind 300 gold excludes automatically a lot of good players that will never invest 300 gold to buy a tag to provide a service to ANet and the community.
I understand that the Commander tag brings a lot of responsibility and easily obtainable tags could disrupt the game due to abuse.
What I propose is to have 2 ways of acquiring the Commanders Tag:
1. The present one, locked behind 300 gold + 250 WvW badges;
2. A new one, locked behind a kind of legendary quest including the following: Full map exploration, all dungeons done, all raids done, all fractals done up to XX level, all open world bosses done, PvP rank XX, completed personal story up to the last available chapter, 3 crafting professions up to 500 and WvW rank corresponding to all WvW skills maxed out.
With this proposed system, ANet and the community will get a lot of new experienced Commanders and will be a win-win situation for everyone.

Ths sad truth is that because this game is B2P and most of WvWer’s do not spend money at cash shop, GW2 is geared towards new PvE players.
If you bought the game and do not spend at cash shop you are old news.
So PvE will always be the main drive.
ANet knows that if WvW disappears, 90% of PvE players wont even notice it.
I lost count of the percursors drops I got…because I do not like legendary skins I sold them all.
Raids are as good as any other content that meets costumers requirements.
The trick is to not focus on raids and keep investing development time and resources in all game modes.

ANet still thinks that is has all the time to fix WvW…every week without fixing WvW is fatal but they talk about a production cycle of MONTHS…lol.

Well, Riverside is almost dead as everyone knows…no more good commanders, just a bunch of unexperienced tags.
I am afraid ANet is reacting too slowly to WvW players bleeding…when the transfusion arrives the patient will be completely dead.
Maybe with Colin’s departure WvW gets more love and is not anymore the son of a lesser GW2 God?

At the end of the day the difference is what you as a player is worth. Ticking 50 points better than 2nd place when there are 800 people active in WvW doing PvE+PvP? Gratz, you are pretty much worthless individually but the server is still slowly winning. Ticking 600 points better than 2nd place when there are 20 people active in WvW doing only PvE? Gratz, you are all Batman level achievers.

I’m contemplating how easy it is to fix the “Imbalance” of wvw by people simply moving to different servers and balancing the game out manually…..

If you run fractals daily you get loads of ascended gear.
If you run WvW daily you get nothing.

If your server cant maintain war at night then your server deserves to lose.
Fix population imbalance and 80% of the work is done.
Then fix a few more small things and increase rewards, 100% of the work done.

Forget about WvW…fractals are the best option to farm tons of gold and top gear.
Compare WvW rewards with fractals rewards and you will cry in desbelief…
Present WvW rewards are just very poor indeed…it speaks volumes about the importance ANet attaches to WvW.
It have been 3 years…….Some of the top servers are literally dyeing to ours (far shiverpeaks) in wvw, they can not play us at all in prime time, we capture keeps in prime time like it was towers, but they have collected a good amount of people to play in night time and just attack the door, it is not WvW but just a way to win because others not even in the actual game playing…….This game have had this problem for 3 years………
EU got 3 hour time difference in time zones and NA got 3-4 hours aswell (surprice surprice….thats why LFG is empty at night, and the maps are aswell in a cross server platform).
This should not be hard to handle, decrease the points gathered not around 12:00-24:00 in the average time………..Can not in anyway destroy the game by doing this, it is quiet a huge problem, specially when servers not good enough to even be on a map at all in the prime time even are able to reach high tiers.
Please share your idea, do you believe this is bad, that winning based on others not even in the game/sleeping is good/bad, or is there something I have missed, is there actually more behind it than abusing the fact that your opponent is not even there, or am I wrong in time zones, I did check google and made sure, but idk……..Either way, I would like to know more about it

Besides poor rewards and bad borderland maps, what is killing WvW is population imbalance.
Megaservers needed. When we have megaservers at WvW then the most important thing will be guilds and guild pride = Guild Wars 2…finally the name of the game will fit its meta.
We are able to talk about the WvW resurgence update earlier than we thought. Details coming soon. WvW took 5 years to develop and we are working on it as fast as we can. WvW player culling took 1 year of our most senior engineer to fix.
