I’m trying to get on one of my characters but the last time I logged out was at Labyrinthine Cliffs, which I assume is no longer in game? So the game crashes during loading screen when I select him. I tried my other characters and they work fine. What can I do to fix this?

Blasting staff is imo the one of the most overrated traits for ele. It seriously isn´t that hard to keep mobs in lavafonts if you just practice a bit. I never equip blasting staff, i feel it´s more than often just not needed and takes space from better traits.

I run 0/0/10/30/30 support staff build for group pve.

I like blasting staff because I don’t have to focus as much on accuracy, but yeah, once you get used to where to place your circles blasting staff isn’t needed as much.

The auto attacks on the others weren’t that bad too be honest, but landing some skills were impossible like dragons tooth and shatterstone

Best stick to something easier for now then.

Some items that you craft are profitable, you just have to check the price of the mats and how much the item you making is currently selling for.

It has its uses just a bit limited. It has a nice long range so you don’t have to be on top of play to rez him incase he’s surrounded by aoe. And using it with some attunements is nice like with fire.

Back on topic though, it does sound like a bug so enjoy while it lasts.

It should work on downed players, not dead ones tho

No one even does old content in WoW, so if you only consider the new content they produce, it’s not that much.

I think more of what the op is getting at is that there are still major bugs in the game. Instead of having bug fixes in AC, THE FIRST DUNGEON IN THE GAME, we get more events and content that no one really asked for so early in the game’s history.

Not our fault you’re a no-lifer. You’re done everything there is to do, go find something else and quit whining about a perfectly fine game just because you rushed through it too fast to enjoy it.

Yes insulting me calling me a “no-lifer” is really mature mate Thing is i have a job and even go the gym every week but i managed to get 3 80’s in exotics in a month. I didn’t rush through it at all, and people can power level to 80 in a day or 2 with crafting alone. You will be surprised how people can achieve more things than you in a short time, don’t be mad.

If you don’t like your lifestyle, change it, don’t complain about other people being frank and truthful with you about it. If you have three level 80s at this point, you play this game too much, waaay too much. And if you don’t like people telling you so, then either change it or learn to like it.

You all sound the same, fanboys. Ok well first of all i played this game “waaay” too much when i was having a blast leveling and all that jazz you know before i was forced into end game? Well now this is where my problem is because there is no real end game just grind and more grind oh and some pvp.

Every class can be strong at 80, but I suggest going with class you enjoy playing and not so much which class is the strongest. You can always make a level 1 and go to Mists, that way you can try out a class at max level with all skills available to you.

There are guides for proffs, you can google them. Cooking would probably be easiest and cheapest one to level.

Wow….smh the number of people replying to the OP that think this game is perfectly fine is amazing…you know who those are don’t you OP. They are the people who stick with games for 2 months 3 months max and move on to something else shiny. They are the hardcore types who love to run solely dungeons and raids who want the highest gear and give everyone a rash of stuff just because they don’t have a gearscore, dps meter, or know every nook and cranny of every dungeon run the game has out at the time.

But that’s okay because I’m not one of those people, I know there’s something big time wrong with this game and the few sheep that are running around these forums trying to troll everyone’s thread to make it look like everything’s okay for the newcomers aren’t going to convince the newcomers when they actually get into the game and see what’s actually wrong with it. The truth I guess has to be experienced in order for people to see it.

The FotM focus, the loot toilet, the endless grind for legendaries, the herding to the store for gold, the lack of pve open world metas we were promised would appear just after launch, none of that will convince people that you and I are right until they get in there and see just how bad it is for themselves.

There’s alot to fix in this game I do hope they hired a ton of new people to get it all done. smh

Whats your defenition of a viable build? Are the only viable builds the ones you can get good results from while rolling face on keyboard?

Well there you go, the only thing in your mind is grind grind grind. No wonder you don’t find it fun. I have about 200 hours I think now and not once during those hours did I grind for something.

Well, if they didn’t have that ability they would be such easy kills.

So this gear has been out for a while now, have you even noticed any major impact on player base at all? I didn’t.

PvE and WvWvW tend to go well together since you can use same gear in both. So if the server focuses on WvW then they also must be gearing up through PvE dungeons.

WvWvW has some exotic jewelery (vit/tough/power I think)

Ah the wonders of playing in low tier WvWvW, I run both jumping puzzles most days on 6 of my chars no problem. Do people in higher tiers constantly camp jumping puzzles?

Hm I would suggest make a chararcter on a server thats high up in WvWvW rankings since those servers are populated the most.

Given the overall weakness of ranged compared to mele and the multiple ways meles professions got to close gap, it’s no wonder people go for d/d

I think it’s more of it’s easier to play d/d so more people go that route. I personally much rather face a melee character than a ranged one while I’m using staff. I mean if you read the forums you will notice how eles praise d/d as it has some amazing synergy or some kitten like that while everyone else say that d/d eles need a small nerf.

I was hoping people would read my second post and start a good discussion, but perhaps a bump would help. But please, think, ponder, and consider the various options and sides of the argument.

Just about everything was already said on this topic, so no real reason to continue to milk this thread.

My suggestion is to not read the forums since you already think that staff is “god awful” cause of it.

Staff is useful in any situation if you play it right and have all around balanced build. As in not just pure dps or pure support. Right now I’m running 0/30/0/10/30 build in sPvP as staff and I easily hold my own.
