I too am someone who loves revenant and feels some of these nerfs are too hard, but i feel like none of this is doing anything, I havent seen a dev post in any of the treads here since the expansion released. The thing that most annoys me is the wall bug with Unrelenting Assault (and the fact that it doesnt work on “Objects”) and Vengeful Hammers.
But i feel like we’ve been hung out to dry on this and am very sad now.
Revenant even became my main because of it’s versatility it’s a class where i can bring out my potential as a player, wich is what hope it stays, i will pray to RNGesus but i had expected this to happen.
It really needs a fix, also the fact that it just breaks off if used next to a wall but consumes energy and goes on CD, note that it doesnt work any yellow tagged targets (items/gates/crates/certain bosses), it’s a really awesome skill, that is only barely useable.
I usually turn the headgear off to see my character’s face anyway so xD
I have this weird issue ever since HoT released that my mini hides itself (it’s ALWAYS hiddien in Heart of Maguuma for some reason) and then never unhides itself, so i always have to go into my hero panel to unhide it, but the next map it almost always hides itself again.
Also forum search option still not working for me, never get results no matter what i search.
EDIT: Found out it happens when you glide, your mini will hide and not unhide anymore..

Why was there another topic made about this? I had Herald in 20 hours too, you don’t see me bragging about it and i love the fact that they reduced the cost.
(oh wait i just bragged didn’t i?)
I don’t even know why you would NOT want to have your elite spec unlocked sooner i just don’t understand people who complain when they have to work less…
It’s like your boss saying you get one day off a week while getting the same pay each month and then you complain about it (see how insane it sounds?).
Some people that wanted bragging rights about being the first to have the herald, etc. are now apparently upset…
Don’t understand it but there it is.
I’m positive i was one of the first people who got Herald, (grinded it out ith my guildies helping me on the first day) and i’m stil really happy about this change, now i don’t have to worry about having to do all that stuff again on my alts (9 of em left!) and i already did it for my Reaper too!.
See, i can still brag even though the points are reduced!

It is part of a Legendary Collection and you need to unlock prior tiers to be able to pick it up, so you actually can! That was a really neat story btw +1!
No elite spec party icons are showing.
GW2 was the first game Angry Joe ever gave a 10/10 iirc.
This +10000 also the underwater skills, only shiro and mallyx (not even glint!?). Besides that i love rev.
Even Glint, our elite spec doesn’t work underwater, have to put on Facet’s before i enter, it’s crippling in high level stuff…(

Thought it was kinda weird, since i had 0 HP when checking.
On a lot of maps i notice certain hero challenges that have been marked as completed, even though i didn’t do them, naturally i did not get any hero points for it. Is this as intended or is it a bug? Or some sneaky way to force a revenant to do more tedious jungle searching. (side note, it’s annoying that most of the hero challenges in the jungle are locked behind masteries or that you can’t solo them and need a group)

This is like buying a brand spanking new car and then someone tells you:
“Wait, you have to learn how to drive this old crappy machine you’ve been driving for years while earning stamps for every checkpoint you drive past, but don’t worry, you get 10 stamps per checkpoint, oh , but every checkpoint requires you to have learned a new language, so you can talk to the cashier.”

I like the spinning on Revenant. A lot of their abilities are all about spinning and twirling their staff, and it is a really great homage to the Dervish.
True and i loved dervish in GW (it was my main after Nightfall was released). The Staff auto-attack tho, i thought the Thief version looks more dervish-like in comparison to the Revenant one, maybe some kind of overhead swing would look better, but then again, i’m probably the only one who tries to wield scythe-like staves constantly.

If you ask me and i know you aren’t, if you look for loot you play the game wrong and of course it leads to disappointment.

I really couldn’t care less about loot and i believe everything is fine.
Serious… if you guys wanna loot get a archaeology degree and start digging.
But doing the same content over and over without any decent reward? At some point you will get disappointed , of course i didn’t start out going for loot, but after 3 years of playing, i’d like something nice as a drop once in a while..

So after the god knows how manieth time running tequatl, even popping into the map 30 mins early to secure some space for my guildies, yet still not getting any worhwile drop, except for a spoon, wich i get every.single.time i run tequatl, i had an idea or a suggestion, if you may for the fact that there are players, who, no matter how many times they farm something or grind on something until they puke, they don’t get that ascended drop, or even the spoon i so hate getting now, yet you always see people pinging those elusive ascended chests or precursors.
The idea:
Each time you don’t get a certain drop from a certain boss or chest, it’s droprate goes up (ofcourse varying according to the loot), until a certain percentage, say 80%, when the item drops, the drop rate is reset to its original state, this ensures that you feel like you won’t be doing something for nothing, knowing that the RNG will always make it so you only have this much chance of getting something.
It makes the game feel more fair towards people who spend days trying to get something, while someone who only does something once already gets the motherload of drops. Or gives an alternative to people who don’t only want craft something, it could even be applied to the mystic forge, so it doesn’t feel like you need to spend thousands of gold just to get that precursor, so that you know that there’s a limit to how much you need to spend. It could keep the game more active and stops certain items on the trading post from becoming such a chore to get that people just stop playing. Yet it doesn’t make it so that an item will get overloaded into the game, because you still need to do an action a certain amount of times to get the drop rate so high again that you will see it drop again, unless you’re lucky, but that’s how it already is with RNG itself.
Sorry for my large amount of text, i don’t know if someone posted this already (since the forum search option never gives me results whatever i search), or if implementing a system like this is even remotely plausible (i’ve seen something similar in upgrading armor/weapons in other mmo’s).
If you’ve read this far, i thank you for letting me take some of your time, please leave an opinion if you think this would be a good idea or not.

Also the fact that enemies usually aggro to whoever does the most damage to them, makes tanking kinda redundant since you wont keep the mob aggroed to you, unless you had some kinda perma taunt whiz going on
Yeah, so everyone can just make f2p accounts to spy on other servers, besides that, i think it’s good to have content locked for those who buy the game, so free players have incentive to actually…you know, buy the game?
I believe the primer only works for the first food you consume.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but i have confirmed on my guardian that the Metabolic Primer also doesn’t work.
Still bugged for me too, found out by buying a cultural weapon.
Definite +1, either remove the effect or change it to , say a shield on the ground or a bubble thats very transparent, but the floating shield always on my guardian has to go.
If i want a shield, i will equip a shield.
Sorry to bump an old topic, but for me, this issue still exists. Is there any way to fix this?
